I can not recommend this gorgeous place enough! First visit on Friday, my birthday, and we had the best night ever. Robert looked after us so well as did everyone else. My dinner was unbelievable good, cauliflower tastic! Sorry we missed dessert due to birthday cake BUT I'm coming back... Thank you so much x

Lovely location, friendly service and tasty, well-cooked food. This restaurant is tucked away in a lovely little street. They have a small menu, which I think is perfect as it means making a choice doesn't give you a headache and they know how to cook the food well. The food was so tasty, I'll happily go back next time we holiday in Deal. And the waitress serving us was very friendly and professional.

Had very tasty meal here, food was very good! Did not realise that they had second floor in the restaurant as well! Friendly staff, only downside was that being seated upstairs, all people left early and we were only people left upstairs and seems like staff sort of forgot about us. But overall good experience and tasty food, would like seat next time downstairs. Would go back again.

We came here for a special occasion and were really pleased by the service. There were lovely touches recognising the special occasion when we arrived and this was much appreciated. The food was excellent and there is a good selection of wines, including lots of great English wines. Very happy to recommend this restaurant.

We have passed by a few times but did not realise it is dog friendly. Glad I stopped by and asked. The starters were roasted goats cheese with beetroot and pes shoots and pulled brisket tacos, we shared and both were very good indeed. Main courses were herb crusted roast cod for me. It was served on new potato mash and was a really nice dish. My husband had the buttermilk chicken and that looked perfect too, he said it was great. No room for dessert, maybe next time. The place is lovely, lots of art everywhere and it is for sale. The staff were lovely, friendly and did a good job of making sure we had a great evening.

Very good restaurant in Deal. Menu is interesting with non banal meat and fish preparations. Food is well prepared and tasty. Exciting selection of wines also by the glass, including many from England. Friendly service. Recommended!

Absolutely had the best time here for our Valentine's meal. Was immediately greeted as soon as we entered, had the most romantic table on ‘ the bridge’ , with exquisite food and the cocktails were incredible. The host and staff were incredibly friendly and made our evening so special. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend . Thank you. Yasmin & Cam x

Lunch there today was absolutely excellent. I mentioned that it was my wife's 70th birthday and she was greeted with the most enormous happy birthday balloon, a wonderful gesture from the proprietor, Verena I believe. The service we received from the lovely Tia was second to none. I highly recommend this charming restaurant to one and all.

We went for a Sunday roast....excellent food excellent service the atmosphere was so friendly and cosy and Rob the Gm makes a norty margarita lol would highly recommend the this pub I LOVE ❤️ it x

We visited for lunch and drinks. What a great place. Nice stylish decor, nice choice of music playing and made to feel very welcome. Our food was absolutely fantastic and enjoyed the whole atmosphere so much so that we went back in the evening just to have drinks and chill out. Long may you stay in business and look forward to visiting next time I'm in Deal.

Lovely little bistro, excellent food, generous glass of wine a very accommodating & welcoming atmosphere. Even popped out especially to get oat milk for my wife’s coffee during busy service!

Really lovely restaurant, with attentive staff, taking care of you and updating you when it's busy. We had the chicken satay each for starters, which were nice. Highlight for me was the vegetarian curry. Absolutely delicious. I'm not vegetarian but reading this on the menu earlier in the day, had my mind made up. Glad I stuck with my choice, came with some mini poppadoms and a crispy bread on the side. The curry and rice were perfect. My partner opted for the steak and enjoyed it. Great spot, and amazing value. £90 with service with two courses and a drink each.

We came here for our anniversary dinner and were not disappointed. Such friendly service, amazing food and wine. Thank you for giving us a wonderful evening! Hope to be back.

We had a fantastic evening, the food was delicious. It was so much fun having the magician in the restaurant he was exceptional. We loved the venue lighting and artwork on the walls, it all made a great ambiance. Thank you 🤩 xx

Family Sunday lunch for a birthday! I still consider it the best restaurant in Deal. My children loved the kid’s menu and we were treated beautifully. Lovely and relaxed atmosphere with the best food! Couldn’t ask for more, thank you!

Hidden gem, with amazing food and superb mocktails.

A great experience. I had made a mistake in my booking but they were able to accommodate my booking which was resourceful and kind. Food and service were faultless. Thankfully portion sizes here are healthy. We enjoyed a wonderful three course that was imaginative, beautifully seasoned and expertly cooked. 100% gorgeous.

Beautiful food, good wine and lovely service (company ok). Dog friendly - we brought our (well behaved) Springer Spaniel and they were absolutely charming - had a bowl of water out and waiting for her. Menu changes about every 8 weeks. So even if you’ve been before well worth another visit.

Excellent service, our waiter was attentive, friendly and funny. It has been the safest Covid19 restaurant with have been to, where every single waiter was wearing masks/face coverings, so we were able to relax and enjoy our meals, unlike the majority of all the other restaurants. The food was excellent as well and because we went for lunch and they have a lunch menu, it was also affordable (£25 for 3 courses with £4 extra for the scallops and for the steaks). Toilets super clean. Absolutely recommended

Menu choice is rather limited, so I do suggest you take a look before booking. However, the quality of the dishes was outstanding and super tasty indeed. Great busy atmosphere with the staff being friendly and knowledgeable. Great choice of wine too. I look forward to returning on the next menu change!

I’ve worked in the wine industry for many years, and I’ve been lucky enough to go to some of the top restaurants. This little gem is definitely on my list of places to visit. Everything about the place is perfect. Excellent staff, atmosphere, fantastic food and great wine. All at a very reasonable price. We shall be making another trip from London to visit again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Delicious food, well cooked and beautifully presented with real style and flavour. Really friendly staff, good ambiance, great wine, we enjoyed two courses and shared a cheeseboard and we couldn't fault anything. Our evening at Victuals & Co was special and if we return to Deal for another weekend sometime we will definitely return. Thanks to the everyone in the team!

This place is a real diamond in the rough. We were greeted by Rob whose attitude immediately set a great tone and we were waited on diligently by Karen. Atmosphere was great, all the other dinners were having a great time too. But the best thing, They have a very well earned Michelin star and it shows in the food quality, care and presentation. This was our anniversary meal and it was worth every penny. Thanks for making our evening so special.

We were greeted so warmly and the table had happy birthday sprinkles so a great start to the evening. The food was outstanding, a small menu choice as everything is cooked fresh but even with few choices, I found it hard to decide and I can't imagine that anything would have been disappointing. Fabulous waiting staff, so friendly and helpful. It was a perfect venue to celebrate my birthday and we will be eating here again without a doubt. Fabulous, I highly recommend

Great food, FABULOUS service. Could have not been more accommodating to our slightly random requests!! Really brilliant evening.

Delightful tasting food, excellent use of flavours and all well presented. Prices are on par with the other top restaurants in Deal. Staff friendly and polite but the service was a little bit disjointed. I appreciate that restaurants have limited staff at the moment but there Is also a limited menu and diners. Still would use again.

Nice little restaurant, very good starters and an excellent sea bass, but, the main of duck and hoisin was below par. Also very questionable artwork on the walls of the gents toilets. Worth a visit though.

Another good experience at Victuals. Really nice service and delicious. The vegetarian Sunday roast was very tasty and filling. The meat alternative was some roasted butternut squash - tasty but could have been a bit more interesting. Overall everyone enjoyed their food and everything was eaten. We were happy, stuffed people!

Nice atmosphere, good food. Good service. Very limited vegetarian option. (1 dish) Not particularly good value for money for some dishes. £20 for a few florets of spiced cauliflower or £9 for 5 slices of tomato and a piece of mozzarella could be improved upon. Burger was tasty.

Why is this Deals highest rated restaurant? When did standards get so low? It wasn’t so bad to be inedible but more is expected for such high prices. Little to no choice for vegetarians , wine is just OK, steak fried into oblivion, frozen chips from a bag. I will say the restaurant itself and decor is quite nice but that’s it. I urge people to have more respect for themselves and their wallets in these current times. It’s a joke, you’d hope things had changed but it’s the same old Deal fare dressed up, expensive, yet lacking any inspiration or substance. It’s a modern European tragedy. Stop ripping people off.

Wait time horrendous. Food abysmal. I think the chef needs sacking cos steak and kidney pudding obviously too long in the microwave! Pasta my 9 year old granddaughter could have done better. Diners walking out and complaining. Waiting staff good but stressed and inexperienced. Don’t think it’ll be there much longer!
