Delightful meal with a lovely restaurant staff! Arrived for a birthday celebration and wonderfully surprised with a decorated table and a thoughtful card. The meal was perfect and delicious to the last bite and so was the desert. Even the basket of breads was yummy. The perfect place to have a celebration!!

The Capital Grille is absolutely beautiful, Elegant and worth every penny!! As soon as you pull into the parking lot… your amazing experience begins!! There is Valet and plenty of parking. The design & decor of the building outside & inside is beautiful. We got seated & attended to right away and were served water n an assortment of different breads. Our waitress Jami… very informative, helpful, made great suggestions and was overall very sweet and professional!! The appetizers & meals were cooked to perfection with excellent presentation!! Even though we could not eat anymore Jami brought out the most delicious dessert!! Highly recommended!! Overall great experience!! Also on a side note don’t feel as if you need to dress fancy to enjoy this 5 star dining experience…. I noticed guests were in all different attire and all were equally welcomed!!

Surprisingly very good! Though the prices are steep, the food and service makes up for it. Our waiter Peter was fantastic- and the steak that we got served was too! Worth it for a celebratory dinner.

We had a lovely dinner at Capitol Grill in Dedham Friday, September 15th, that recently opened one month ago. Lindsay greeted us warmly as our waitress whom we recognized from working at Del Frisco’s in Westwood, and Aquitaine Dedham when it was open, and we received outstanding service! We ate at a high top table in the bar and decided to go early at 4:30pm, since they do not take reservations in the bar. We also found out that Lindsay works the bar area Friday’s and Sunday’s, and is on the floor the other days, so we plan to come back and ask for Lindsay because she was excellent, and it is always nice to be greeted warmly! We enjoyed the following: - Field Greens Salad, with Butter Leaf Lettuce, Heirloom Tomatoes, Parmesan Vinaigrette. - Lobster and Crab Cake with Lemon Basil Aioli - Tuna Tartare with avocado, mango, and spicy sriracha sauce - Heirloom tomato burrata salad fresh heirloom tomatoes, creamy burrata and 15 year aged balsamic - Chef’s Suggestion Sliced Filet Mignon with Cipollini Onions, Wild Mushrooms and Fig Essence: ordered medium rare - Dry Aged NY/KC Strip au Poivre with Courvoisier Cream, 14 ounces: ordered medium rare We have been regulars at the Boston and Chestnut Hill locations (and have also been to the Providence, NYC, and Phoenix Capitol Grill locations), and it is nice that we have a closer Capitol Grill location with equally great food, service, and ambiance! Everything that we ordered was a 10 out of 10, and our steaks were cooked perfectly! The restaurant was previously a PF Chang’s, and the entire interior has been replaced with the full Capitol Grill ambiance. There is valet parking that starts at 5pm, so there was no valet when we arrived early, but there was plenty of parking. Upon departure, we met the general manager who was at the front door, and we told him that we fully enjoyed everything! Thank you to the chef, our server Lindsay, and everyone that is working behind the scenes to deliver our wonderful meal! Thank you to all on a spectacular evening! We will be back!

The new Capitol Grille in Dedham is a beautiful place. We had lunch, a Cobb Salad with Tenderloin, and the Grilled Tuna entree. The Cobb is a little unconventional as it is tossed, not composed, but all of the elements were there - greens, hardboiled egg, blue cheese, bacon. (The tenderloin was more done than I like it, but that was my fault, because the very pleasant server asked my preference in detail and I decided that rare would be better for an evening out rather than lunch.) The tuna entree was outstanding, a thick steak, beautifully crusted with sesame seeds and properly rare. It came plated with sticky rice and a swirl of glaze for color, and for the side dish, a house salad. The bread basket had seeded rolls, a big cracker and butter with sea salt. The room is well appointed with a luxury steakhouse look and feel. The swing music is pleasant and suits the mood. Really a lovely and special place. Also, the menu pricing is reasonable for the quality of the experience. Service is polished and friendly. Vegetarians and gluten free diners would be okay, and children too. There's a parking lot and valet parking too, which would be useful on a busy night. It's handicapped accessible, and the seating is very comfortable.

This was my first time eating at this location. I visit Chestnut Hill usually. The food was exactly the same and our service was great. My birthday lunch started with a mint lemonade for me and a Bloody Mary for my friend. We both ordered the tenderloin sandwiches and crispy fries. Our server brought a birthday dessert and glasses of champagne. It was a lovely celebration .

Morgan was our waitress , she was the BEST waitress!!!!!! she really needs to be on Broadway💞 The food is always spectacular. Mashed potatoes, spinach and garlic, macaroni and cheese salmon Filet mignon ! Appetizers and not necessary, but dessert is a must😂 Seriously though everything’s really good. I had coconut cream pie with a big butter cookie. Crème brûlée pretty good..

The food was, without a doubt, the top of the line delicious. We had a bone in rib-eye steak, which was outstanding and cooked to perfection. "Hats off to the chef 👨‍🍳". I had potatoes and creamed spinach with my steak. The creamed spinach was on the salty side. The Lamb chops were outstandingly delicious as well. Steak and lobster tails were good. There were no complaints other than the waitress was kind of cold and inattentive.

The experience was top notch. We went for a birthday celebration and they Wowed us with their attention to detail. Actually made both of us think of Ever from The Bear. You will pay for the experience, but it is well worth it.

Unbelievable service,food, steak cooked to perfection. Our server Nick was Great. I recommend The Filet Mignon was delicious. The side dishes excellent Recommend the Au Gratin Potatoes & Sams Potatoes. The desserts are so good. If you call and do Reservations the take care of you. I took my wife for our anniversary and they decorated the table and put a card on the table. Been twice at this location will be back. Don't believe the negative comments people say. Go in and try it yourself.

My wife took me there for a birthday dinner. We used to go to another high class restaurant in that plaza but it closed down a few years ago. The place is very pricey so it won't be a plane we go to often, but everything we had was amazing. I would recommend the rib eye. It will be our new place to go to celebrate events in life.

This is our 2nd time in a couple of months and both times were absolutely amazing! Last night we had the lamb chops which were incredible ( and I do not like lamb, until I ate this!) Cooked perfectly, no gamey taste. Perfection! Then, we orderede the Cesar sald which was excellent. Then, we order the 2 petite filet mignon with 2 poached lobster tails. Absolutely outstanding. Everything once again was cooked to perfection. Our waiter Jesse was amazing! Another amazing experience at the Capital Grill. And, the desserts were not top be missed!

I wanted to take my son out for a great meal before he leaves for college in a few weeks. I have not been to the Capital Grille in over twenty years, when it was just in DC. I screwed up my reservation and booked a table in Boston rather than Dedham by mistake. The maitre d' was beyond accommodating and managed to find us a table on a busy night. I was beyond grateful for the staff saving our night. We had a great meal, and our server Malik was fantastic as well. We both had kona-crusted strips, calamari, and wedge salad. Everything was as excellent as I remembered it from 20 years ago. Thanks for a great evening and what I hope will be an excellent father-son tradition over the years. See you next year

We celebrated my husband’s birthday at The Capital Grille yesterday for lunch. Our server, Pack, was so sweet, and really went above and beyond to make his birthday special with a dessert and champagne. The Capital Grille is always our favorite restaurant, and this Dedham location is our new go-to. Thank you again, Pack!

The new Capital Grille in Dedham looks amazing. The service from our server Morgan was all around phenomenal. The food and drinks were spot on and delicious. We will be back in the near future!

My wife and I had reservations for our anniversary. It was the first time I had ever been to a Capital Grill - the experience did not disappoint. The service was incredible and they took extra measures to make the occasion special. I had the NY Strip au poirve, which is my favorite way to have steak, and it was excellent. My wife also had the stip but with gorganzola, and she said her was delicious. We were also delighted that they provided a small dessert on the house, a tasting portion of two of their desserts (cheesecake and the espresso chocolate cake). It was perfect since we did not have much room after dinner. With drinks and tip, our bill came to $250. At that price point this is not a place we would go with frequency but for the special occasion it was absolutely fantastic and the best meal we've had in months.

From start to finish, a good time was had by all! James took great care of our table, was personable, knowledgeable, attentive, and had a nice sense of humour. The crab cake appetizer was dee-lish and my husband (the birthday boy) was very pleased with his Wagyu steak!

"I recently dined at Capital Grille in Dedham, MA, and while the food wasn't entirely my cup of tea, one thing stood out - the exceptional service from waitress Crystal (with a K)! She was phenomenal, going above and beyond with attentiveness, warmth, and kindness. When my dish had unexpected pepper overload (literally!), she stayed by my side till I was okay. Her rapport with us was top-notch, striking that perfect balance of caring without hovering. As a frequent diner and nurse leader I've met many great servers, but Crystal's the best I've experienced coast-to-coast - and that's saying a lot! 😊"

Went In spontaneously with a friend, and was blown away from start to finish. The capital grille Dedham, from the friendly hosts to the impeccable service. Never felt rushed and was explained the features a few times (thanks again) . I also seen management walking around greeting tables. Being greeted by your name that made me feel special. We celebrated my birthday at Capital Grille. The table was decorated with birthday greetings. The food and wine were excellent. The birthday dessert and champagne were a thoughtful touch.

Exceptional Service! I don’t normally leave reviews, but our experience with Brianna absolutely deserves the spotlight. From the moment we were seated, she made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. Her energy was warm, professional, and genuine. It was like catching up with a good friend who just happens to be amazing at her job. She knew the menu inside and out, gave spot-on recommendations, and handled our (slightly complicated) order with total grace and efficiency. Drinks were refilled before we even had to ask, and every check-in felt thoughtful, never intrusive. What really stood out was her attention to detail. She remembered our names, anticipated our needs, and went above and beyond to make our night special. It’s rare to find service this good, and it made the whole dining experience unforgettable. If you’re lucky enough to be seated in her section, congrats. You’re in for a fantastic time.

We dine here frequently. The food is always amazing. We always enjoy every single thing we order. The staff is also amazing. They are very attentive. We usually sit at the bar and the bartenders are great!!!! (We especially love, Christina) But when we sit in the dining room, we also get great service. The manager there always make sure everyone is having a great experience at Capitol Grill.

Went to dinner with friends. Our server Michael was exceptional! He provided recommendations and was very knowledgeable about the menu and specials. All dinners (porterhouse steak, filet mignon, salmon and seabass) with sides (lobster man and cheese, potatoes au gratin, spinach and asparagus) were delicious. We each also got the lobster bisque as an appetizer, which was very good, but might have been just a bit better with a little sherry drizzled on top. Overall great food and great service.

I had dinner at the Capital Grill in Dedham, MA, on 12/19/2025. It was an excellent way to finish a very enjoyable day. Peter was our Server. He introduced himself very quickly and got our drink orders. We started by splitting a Ceasar Salad. I decided on the Seared Sea Scallops with Lobster Risotto and Asparagus, which was excellent. My friend ordered a Filet Mignon which she greatly enjoyed. Many people believe the cost is high, but you receive top quality beef and seafood. We had delicious meals with excellent service from Peter.

Incredible food, incredible service, beautiful atmosphere. Comfortable seating, not too loud! Great martinis and wine list! The "ice water" didn't taste great although it is filtered. A few more steak sauce options would be nice. even just as specials. 100% will go back again and again when I get the chance!

We are frequent diners at the Capital Grille in Dedham, MA. The food and drinks are always top-notch; but, it’s the staff that keeps us returning to this location. We have never encountered anything but kindness and professionalism from all. I want to give a special shout-out to our favorite server, Marcelo. He is so engaging, funny, and, of course, very knowledgeable about the menu. His personality always makes our day! Marcelo is a gem that deserves to be recognized for his hard work.

Terrific dinner with my wife. Sat at the low bar table, which was a real treat. Very attentive bar staff. The food was delicious! Had the Cesar salad, NY Strip Au Poivre, and the rib eye. Potatoes a Gratin and the sautéed spinach with Garlic. All was delicious!

This was our first time at Capital Grille. Everything was excellent! We went on a Saturday night celebrating a birthday earlier in the week. It was noted we were coming there for a birthday dinner. My friend got a card, birthday confetti on the table and a birthday dessert All a suprise and very thoughtful The service was incredible. The food was incredible. We definitely will be back.

Absolutely 10/10 experience! I had the pleasure of dinning for the very first time at Capital Grill in Denham. Celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday. Both new to the dinning experience, we had an amazing waiter named Tony. He was so polite to take the time and make sure that our meals were satisfactory, and that our drinks were always topped. Tony offered to take our picture of my boyfriend and I celebration and printed out the picture. I swear having a good and polite staff speaks volumes to an establishment. Even the gentlemen who worked valet were so kind. Overall, tremendous experience, definitely will be back to celebrate my birthday!

Private room dining experience. Service was exceptional, restaurant had open, airy main dining area, yet warm and inviting ambiance. Private room was nice and cozy. Fillet mignon was cooked perfect to order. Sides were amazing! Mashed potatoes were perfectly smooth and creamy, Lobster macaroni, asparagus were delicious. Seafood tower was great, except shrimp cocktails were overcooked, just as most other restaurants do... Calamari app was average, not as crispy I like them to be. I'd love to return for vibrant bar scene.

The Capital Grille at Legacy Place offers a premier dining experience with exceptional steaks and world-class service. While it is a significant investment, the impeccable quality and atmosphere make it worth every penny for a special occasion.

Aa far as food goes, this place is top notch! I've loved everything that I have tried here and never been disappointed. The atmosphere is nice and it has seemed pretty busy any time I have gone. The service is good usually. There have been times occasionally, where I've has to wait longer than expected to put my order in or visited by a waiter or bartender but that can happen anywhere. Overall, I love it.

How can I start? Michael, the bartender he made us feel incredibly welcome. He went above and beyond for us, and we felt proud to have him as our server. Michael the bartender was exceptional, displaying remarkable politeness and attentiveness, always ensuring we were doing well. If you ever find yourself at the bar, request Michael, he's perfection; or better yet, if you're as fortunate as my friends and I were to have him as our waiter, you'll be in exceptional hands.

My visit to Capital Grille left me with mixed feelings. The restaurant has a decent-sized parking lot, but many spots are reserved for valet, so you may need to park in the lower lot and walk. Inside, the bathroom was clean and pleasantly lit with a scented candle, but I was surprised by the lack of a front-door waiting area—there’s nowhere to sit while you wait to be called. Even with a reservation, you might need to wait and there is hardly any standing room there as people come and go. The prices here are steep, to say the least. Entrees come solo, with sides sold separately at portions large enough for two or maybe three people. The bar looked nice. However, snagging a seat at the bar is nearly impossible. The dining area offers plenty of booths and a side room that seems reserved for special events. As for the food, we ordered different steaks, but they were a letdown. The meat was clearly under-seasoned—or possibly not seasoned at all—which is disappointing for the price. A touch of salt (I’m no salt fanatic) helped salvage the flavor, but you shouldn’t have to play chef at a place like this. Our server and their assistant runner were excellent, providing attentive and friendly service. Unfortunately, the noisy atmosphere made it hard to hold a conversation without raising our voices. I’d heard Capital Grille was the gold standard for steaks, and expected the cats meow, but sadly, the cat wasn’t meowing for us. For the cost, I expected more flavor and finesse.

First time at this location. The atmosphere was loud, decor was okay. It didn't feel like upscale dining. Service was decent. My medium well steak first came out well done, then after waiting about 20 minutes for a new steak this one was medium. I gave up and tried to just eat it. Bread wasn't great. Women's restroom was not as clean as one would expect. Overall the dining experience didn't match the prices.

I, and my wife, were both disappointed with our dinner there last night. The first edible item we received was the bread basket and it was excellent. Too bad things slipped from there. My onion soup, usually excellent in steak houses, was very ordinary. My steak was also ordinary, short of what I would expect. I was shocked to learn that they do NOT serve prime meat. So, nice place with good, hardly great food. Service was very good. Oh, can't leave my wife's complaint out, she said the water was terrible. With many terrific steak places in Boston, Grille 23, Abe And Louie's, Ruth's Chris etc., why don't any of those come out to the burbs? Fortunately, I guess, for Capital Grille that they don't. Oh, one last thing, apparently this restaurant participates in the Boston Restaurant Week program. We were not offered that menu or even asked if we wanted to participate.

Overpriced and a nice accompanyment of fruit flies to enjoy with your meal. The steak sandwich was cooked really well, but was served with the quarter of unripe tomato as "garnish". My military ID was also rejected as identification despite being over 30. I was prevented from ordering a drink. I was the only person carded in the place over the course of an hour. Clientle is shifted old to geriatric, possible they havent had the need to card in a long time.

Actually disappointed. My steak wasn’t served Oscar style as requested. No big deal easy fix… but then they served the Oscar topping cold. Also since when was this a medium filet? Looks well done. They used to be very good when they first opened I’m not sure what happened. I’ll stick the chestnut hill

I was so excited lowkey the food presentation was bussin no cap but then ong the moment i took a bite of that i felt like i wanted to do ulti all over the place. i ain even tryna be redundant n allat but like yeah. btw i hate raisins and the bread they gave us was laced with those gruesome creatures. EXPENSIVE. OVERCOOKED. UNDER-SEASONED. very nice lady serving us tho i wish hannah the best in life
