The Ocean House Restaurant

Incredible experience at Oceanhouse. We loved our experience from the moment we arrived. Great views, great food, great service. We’ve gone over the years and there has been many changes to the food but the quality has remained. Our service this time was fantastic, she gave great recommendations. We liked the hot honey on the cheddar biscuits, the oysters were incredibly fresh, and the lobster dumplings were a unique way to eat lobster. The lobster dinner and lobster Ramen were both phenomenal. Oceanhouse does a great job cooking lobster perfectly. The molten chocolate lava cake was the best we’ve ever had. It was rich and an incredibly delicious. If you can get a reservation here, I highly recommend so. The best way to get a reservation is exactly a month out or to see if anyone cancels the day before.

Truly one of the best restaurants on Cape Cod! I had a phenomenal meal here with my family and my only regret is that I wasn’t hungrier (despite only having a late breakfast that day). First off, a shoutout to our waitress, Celine. She was the best—she helped us with the menu and gave good suggestions. She was friendly and spent time answering our questions, and so our evening was definitely elevated with her there. I think everyone loved their drinks. Ocean House has a great variety of cocktails (I got the painkiller which was my favorite and it came in a super cool glass). Then for starters, we got the wagyu dumplings and we split salads as well. The dumplings were perfectly cooked and super tasty with the sauce. It had a nice bite to it and I would definitely get it again next time. I also loved the gem salad, which had warm goat cheese, strawberries, and candied nuts. No complaints there! For my main entree, I got the lobster tagliatelle and shared that with my mom who got the sea bass. Both were amazing. The pasta was rich and flavorful and came with shrimp and scallops in it, even. The sea bass was lighter and it paired nicely with the sauce, along with the vegetables and fingerling potatoes. The desserts were equally spectacular. We tried the warm molten cake and the salted caramel Boston creme pie. The molten cake was as you’d expect: chocolatey and warm, and the coconut ice cream was perfect with it. The salted caramel dessert was also excellent because it wasn’t too sweet with the caramel. The flavors came together nicely with the chocolate for a nice cakey dessert. Hope to come back again this summer!

Everything is ideal about this top! Restaurant. Food is delicious, their Chef has a great taste and very very professional! Drinks are amazing like a real art not just a drink. Vibes and atmosphere are great. Service is top notch: our waiter Danny provided us with an outstanding and professional service. Danny is very friendly and all about to help his guests. We are visiting Cape Cod from New York and decided to try this place on the recommendation of our Airbnb host. All I can say is wow! First, the atmosphere was warm and inviting with a breathtaking view of Nantucket sound. The service was phenomenal and our waitress Basira deserves a raise. She’s an absolute sweetheart and made our dinner experience wonderful. Last but not least, the food was impeccable. I got the scallop dish with bacon pineapple rice and the scallops were cooked to perfection. Also a special shoutout to the valet guys who are super nice and welcoming as you get there. We will definitely be back when we visit the area again.

Food was amazing. And our server was great and knowledgeable. I made a hiccup with my order and they were more than understanding when it came to getting me another one. I recommend this place for sure. The view to the ocean was beautiful. Perfect anniversary dinner!

The food was absolutely amazing. Our waiter explained the entire menu for us and gave us good recommendations. We didn't sit by the window but couldn't still see the ocean view from our table, which was beautiful.

Dinner was absolutely delicious! We ordered scallops, Chilean sea bass and local sea bass. Awesome view as you can see behind us. Wait staff was excellent, attentive. Virgin Mojitos were to die for and yes...the desserts! YUM!

The food was amazing and the the service was even more amazing. Tom was great!!! We had the lobster dumplings, miso bucatini scampi, B+E Panko chicken with shrimp fried rice and the Chilean sea bass. Everything was great. Finished with espresso martinis!!

My husband and I were lucky enough to dine at Ocean House for our anniversary trip to the Cape Cod area, and it was 20/10 to say the least. I have traveled overseas and back multiple times, and all over the United States - and not once through my travels have I ever experienced such an amazing dining experience as it was tonight. Our server - Christian was absolutely fantastic. He made our evening, from providing us top tier service to a thoughtful dessert for our anniversary- we couldn’t have asked for a better gentleman to serve us. We highly recommend Christian if you’re dining at Ocean House. We are so impressed with the service and food - we immediately booked for another night to dine with them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Ask for Christian, he will go above and beyond for you - and truly make it a memorable dining experience you will never forget. We are thankful we got to enjoy our 1st anniversary at The Ocean House!

Have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. Finally had a visit to the Cape with no dog or kids. Reservations were late since we waited until about 10 days out to book. We arrived early, there was a bit of a wait which we expected. The hostess was a little short but attempted to be friendly. The restaurant was full and extremely loud. I was thankful for our table being in a corner, at least gave us a little bit of a reprieve. Took a while for our waitress to get to us. She was also a little short, forced politeness. When we asked for recommendations about the menu, portion size, one dish vs another, she was very vague and unhelpful. She basically just re-read the description of the dish, which we didn’t ask for. I understand everyone’s taste is different, levels of spice, portion size, etc, all are subjective. I’ve never had a problem with visiting a restaurant of this caliber and asking for a recommendation from the staff. The Tiki Plateau appetizer was delicious. Loved everything, lobster dumplings were the favorite. Dinner was scallops with bacon and corn risotto, lobster ramen noodles. Lobster ramen was amazing. Lots of garlic, good umami flavor, lots of lobster. The scallops were also delicious. Honestly, Mac’s Lobster and seafood in Chatham have a similar dish, at least half the price, didn’t fee one was better than the other. The wine list was pretty small. Wines available by glass were not available on the bottle list. Would have expected a wider variety. Only NZ Sav Blanc was available by glass, the rest were French and bottle only. Same problem with the Chardonnays. Disappointing. I am not opposed to going back, but don’t believe it will be a staple on our trips.
