Great time! Enjoyed the Mead. Casual atmosphere and very relaxed. Check it out, even if not a "board gamer". Lots to try! Fun bar.

The staff is very friendly, I can not express that enough. I have always had a good experience here. The ciders are very good as well, and some have little to no alcohol flavor for those who do not enjoy that.

Had a good time wish they did more themed nights with helping people meet new friends. But great place to stop by with existing friends

When I tell you this was the PERFECT place to visit during my recent trip to Denton, that would be an understatement. I recently visited with my Spouse and MIL and we had an absolute blast. The service was incredible not only at the bar but also with the help with board game suggestions and with help with playing the games. We came back the following day and had a great time too! If you are in Denton and have the opportunity, I would highly recommend visiting!

Booked a D&D one-shot for my birthday with 4 of my friends and had the BEST time. We were a band of misfit beginners and loved the vibe, drink selection, room setup, and our DM (Kenneth) was awesome. He was super patient and walked us through all the character basics and made it so approachable (even when it can feel overwhelming for newbies). The service was great and we'll definitely be back. It's a bit of a drive, but worth it!

Great beer selection, really great game selection, friendly service, good atmosphere, good music, fair pricing, family friendly, and extremely clean and well kept!! My son came to meet up with some homeschool friends, and my family stayed and played games while he socialized. We had TJ’s pizza delivered, the kids drank fun craft sodas & we did a beer flight and valentines chocolate pairing. It was a great time. We will be back.

We had a great session with Kenneth as the Keeper for our session of Monster of the Week. He did this private session for us. He is awesome, and we had a great time. My friend has a membership, so we used that to book the private room. You can order drinks to your private room in the basement. We took full advantage and got multiple drinks. It's BYOF (bring your own food), and Aaron was very kind to bring our order downstairs as well as take care of our drinks from the app. Our session was 4 hours with one break in the middle. Aaron made many trips to quench our thirst. He was super helpful and friendly. The place has multiple rooms downstairs and lots of space upstairs. Very comfortable couches are upstairs as well as a counter with chairs. Membership gets you 10 percent off of items as well, so I got a shirt! Great selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Overall, it is a great place to spend time if you enjoy ttrpgs or just board games in general. The service was great, and everyone was cool. I will be back.

We had our wedding reception at D20 on Oct 28, 2023. And let me tell you, it was everything I didn't know I wanted. We started planning things with Mark and Melissa in April. My husband and I both wanted a reception location that was unique and flexible enough to work with our vision. The D20 team were more than willing to accommodate us. We tried multiple beverages before agreeing to a menu plus Mark's on tap menu. Melissa contacted their vendors for additional non-alcoholic options for our guests, connected our play list to their sound system and put wedding messages on their screens. Mark also work with Two Gentlemen of Verona to add beer and / or soda floats to the menu! We received multiple compliments from guests and had a few groups of friends utilize the variety of board games in the D20 collection. If you looking for a unique place with a vintage feel or cozy, moody vibe with great drinks and entertainment for a private event; reach out to D20!

The staff here were very knowledgeable and friendly. Even give us a tour of the basement which has private rooms for rent! Ton of board game selections and plenty of space for TCGs. Would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a place to hang out or visit with friends!

This place is a gem! We found it earlier this summer & waited for our friends to visit so we could return & play. It was so packed, but not long after we got there a table opened up. They have some great brews & SO many games! Loved the experience & we will be back. The staff was very friendly & helpful as we learned how they worked the joint.

My friends and I went last night and I was so pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t sure what to expect out of a board game bar, but we had SO much fun. They have traditional board games, unique ones you’ve never even heard of, and so much more. They also have a game master that can help you find a game and can explain how to play it. I really appreciated her. She had great recommendations! Crash Octopus is where it’s at! The beer and non-alcoholic beverage choices were also great. The UFO Georgia Peach Hefeweizen was amazing. The atmosphere is well lit (for optimal gameplay), homey, inviting, and warm. Please try this place out because I think you’ll come away with a new favorite spot ☺️

We stopped in to check this place out as we read about in the paper this past summer. It's such a fun concept! Stop in and play a game (they've got plenty!!) And have a drink, it's also Bring your food, so if your game runs long or you're playing a campaign you're covered for those 5 hour stents! They also have "dungeons" in their basement for rent if you play DND and want to have some ambiance! Can't wait to go back here and take our friends!

What an amazing place! We came with our teenage son and his friends and they loved it. What an excellent place to unwind and enjoy each other’s company with a fun game and a drink or two. This place is so cool and artsy! It has two separate seating areas. Front area is your traditional tables and chairs and in back area it has a more relaxed feel with comfy couches. One wall filled with endless board games and one filled with an astounding amount of craft beers. They also serve wine and sodas. Owner and staff are super professional and friendly. This place will definitely be on repeat for me. Unwind with D20 Tavern!

$5 per person to play is a great price, they have a huge selection of games! We just got some sodas so I can't really comment on the food. It does get a bit loud in the evening making it hard to talk/read instructions so I would recommend bringing earplugs to put in while reading. Amending my review because I didn't realize there were cushy seating options for smaller groups, thank you for letting me know! :)

Our growler didn't fill all the way because they ran out, so they canned it up instead and made sure we paid a fair price for the amount that was left, and even held it for us in the cooler till we were ready to go. The service is unmatched. Will be coming back, every time is so fun! Make sure to show student IDs for a discount on the game fee!

It is super cute and so many places to sit and play games. It would be cool if they offered a trivia night, but that’s just wishful thinking. It’s a really cool place. I love the atmosphere. But we had dropped by today around 8pm. Still had a few hours left, there were people playing in the place. They saw us walk in. There were two groups playing. We walked up to the bar (no person behind the bar) and waited. Maybe the bartender was in the bathroom so we gave them the benefit of the doubt. We waited for 15 minutes. With some people from the group turning and looking at us. Still no bartender. There were NO staff in sight. I’m willing to take down this review once we go back, maybe it was a 1 time thing. But we ended up just walking out without even getting a drink because there was no staff in sight anywhere.
