You should visit this place for at home experience of a bar. There is a food truck outside with Mediterranean food. Love the vibe this place has to offer. Pretty affordable. There is also outside seating area with heaters for each table which is awesome. One of my favourite out of town bars.

The Oak Street Drafthouse is just off the historic downtown square in Denton, Texas. The nostalgia of dropping by your friends house unannounced (before cell phones) to just hang out is felt in the first steps on the roomy front porch. Once inside the front door, you have definitely entered a vintage decorated home that just also happens to have a full bar and a wonderful selection of beer on tap! We enjoyed a spot in the backyard dodging acorns under a large oak tree!🍺

Comfy, local place to hang out. Beer garden is welcoming. They carry a large variety of local ipa beers, some wine, ciders are the best! Dogs welcome and they have events though the year, that are always fun!

Great beer and wiskey selection. They will make Hot Toddy and 'Adult Hot Chocolate'. 48 beers on tap that are micro brews and some bottled beer too. The patio is huge and exciting. A lot of board games you played when you were a kid and a tabletop arcade game.

It's one of the oldest houses in Denton. I love how they have converted it. It's a Really good draft house with an excellent selection of craft beers. They have 72 beers on tap! It's a pretty relaxed atmosphere and the place is pretty inexpensive. The bartenders are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the beers. You can get flights if you would like to try different beers. They also serve some really good mixed drinks. I had a really good bloody mary. My wife had their Mimosa but she said it was just ok. Dogs are welcome in the outside seating. You can go next door and pick up some Tacos and eat at Oak St and enjoy some beers.

Probably my favorite beer garden in Denton. The structure itself, a Victorian style house, is D-town shabby and for a townie like me the height of comfort. Great beer selection. Good selection of liquors.

Best...ONLY beer garden on town! Oak St. has 40+ beers on draft, with a special emphasis on local beers DFW and Texas. Their prices are good, the old house is cozy, and the back yard beer garden is just fantastic. This is one of my favorite haunts, and just about everyone else's in town too. For VERY good reason.

I've been to this place countless times. It's one of my go to spots. It was my first experience at a bar this unique. It's located in the 2nd oldest house in Denton. It has such a nostalgic feel. The house part is full of old furniture and a small bar, with a huge selection of local craft beers on tap. If you like craft beer, this is the place to be. They also have cocktails, and some nice warm drinks during the colder months. The patio is really where it's at. There's another bar, picnic tables, ping pong tables, and warmers. It definitely feels like Denton. If you're only going to hit a few places in Denton, make sure this is one of them!

This is a great place to go and hang out with friends, family, or anyone! This is an old house converted to a bar. The interior of the house has different rooms to chill with one of the many beers on tap, or you can venture out to the HUGE patio with an outdoor bar as well. They usually have a food truck out front on the weekends and allow you to bring food in, but do buy your drinks from the bar. OSDH is a great supporter and helps fundraise for local causes. Oak Street has a massive selection of Texas beers on tap and the bartenders can handle the crowds really well. Wednesday night runs are the best here! Go for a short 5k and drink some beer, whenever I'm in Denton this is my hangout spot.

Oak St. Drafthouse is the #1 spot in Denton BY FAR. I love this bar. The beer selection is great. The cocktails are great. They throw killer events. If I could marry OSDH, I would. Due to the unfortunate pandemic, I am having withdrawals from OSDH. I miss the bartenders, I miss the atmosphere, I miss the outdoor heaters (even though they only work half the time), I miss it all. Great environment for college students and parents alike! The beer selection is phenominal and is respectively served in its proper glass for optimum enjoyment. Cocktails here are crafted with care as well (I would suggest the Moscow Mule. My wifes favorite and I hear it ordered time and time again by most patrons). This establishment has an inviting outdoor patio that cannot be beat on beautiful north Texas days. And as a father of 4 kids under the age of 10, i feel comfortable with bringing my kids along to hangout and play some board games we bring along or they will play ping pong that is outside if the table is available. OSDH&CP is food friendly and allows you to bring your eats from home or the local restaurants. I would suggest "The Mellow Mushroom" Pizza right around the corner because of its great selections. On an ending note, if your dog gets along with others and can be in crowded environments, bring them along on a leash to sit outdoors with you!

48 Craft Beer Taps inside, another 30 outside in the huge Biergarten, craft cocktails like the Cucumber Margarita which my wife loves, all in the third oldest house in Denton, which is decorated so it looks like I'm drinking in my grandfather's living room. It's eclectic and funky with great booze and an even better staff.

I love everything about this place! The selection of brews is phenomenal. The bartenders are charming, and the vibe is great. I have so many wonderful memories here with my corgi and we have made so many new friends! This is a great hangout and you can get food delivered to where you are already drinking.

This is one of the coolest places to drink beer ever. Rivaled only by Local Relic in Colorado Springs in my opinion. We go here from time to time and we always have a good experience. Whenever family is down ( I'm from Maryland ) I take them here for mules. The outside seating area is great and their prices are good and so is their attention to detail. The staff members are super nice and give you their honest opinions of what they like and suggestions on what you might like based on popular beers. This place is chill, and we will be back.

Without question, Oak St ranks first among all of the bars, pubs, and other drink houses I've been to In my life. Always friendly, extremely knowledgeable, bartenders will set you up with something that you will really enjoy. The atmosphere is comfortable, the place being a reconditioned old home, and full of sprawling couches and low-slung chairs. Their outside biergarten he's comfortable and Shady in the summer, and really hits its stride in the winter time, the tables surrounded by large glass flame heaters. The music is always classic rock, and old Country, and Blues. I have never once felt anything but absolutely comfortable there.

Such a cool place to grab a drink. Unique setting and the prices are very fair. Great craft beer selection and a full liquor line up as well. Inside is air conditioned for those hot days, but there are also large fans outside to help with the heat.

This is what would happen if Cheers took place in a hip college town. The craft beer selection is excellent, the staff actually cares about the customers and gets to know them. They have charity nights and special tapping events and random dance parties. It's the kind of place where you really feel appreciated for coming in.

Well I found this place online. I was pleasently surprised with this place great selection of craft beers IPAs, domestics and imports. The also have a great cocktail and wine menu. At first glance in the front it doesn't seem like much, because you enter inside a very old home getting ID checked at the front door feels weird because it feels like you go into your grandma's house. Then you go in and they have a bar inside, then you go outside and find another. But in addition, what would have been a pretty sizable yard they turned into a large sitting area. Very cool little place.

As far as I'm aware this place doesn't serve food, but exists as THE spot in Denton to get a low key bar experience emblematic of the area. Made from an old home zoned commercial at some point during Denton's very storied past, the place just exudes the charm of a small town bar. Friendly staff, reasonably priced drinks, and an atmosphere that says "I'm home", my favorite place to take people new to the area.

The outdoor area has heaters for those cool night and the indoor are will remind you of college. It is a chill place. The Denton Area Running Club host a 5K every Wednesday evening that starts and stops here. If you run it you get a drink ticket. Worth the run :)

You can bring your kids, fair warning, just take care of them. Amazing family friendly environment for chilling and grabbing a beer by yourself or with company. Over +48 beers on draft and licor on tab for a reasonable price, is one of the places you must visit if you go to Denton. My favorite place for having a beer with great music. Dog friendly! You can bring your furry little friend outside and even get water for them. But, only welcome on the patio. There us also a Pokéstop for anyone who plays Pokémon Go. No food but you can bring from other restaurants and eat with no problem. There is even a charging station inside the bar if you require to charge your phone. They have specials during the week so give them a call to know what they can get you. Edit 01: You can bring your kids.

I like the atmosphere and it is a great starting point for the social runs on Wednesday nights. Big crowd and cool way to see downtown Denton. They also have some good local beers as well.

Definitely one of the better places in Denton to grab a beer with plenty of outdoor seating. The beer prices are reasonable, the beer tap list is extensive, and they serve cocktails too. I have always been able to find a place for me and my friends to sit and it seems like someone always has a friendly dog lounging around. Why only 4 stars, because i cant give it 4.5. The only disappointment that I have is that the outdoor bar is rarely open (at least when I have been) and 95% of people sit outside. It's a great place to socialize with a few friends and have a few good beers.

Two living room style sitting rooms, decent patio sitting area but I didn't get pics of that area. Also has a dog park but I didn't see it, wasn't really looking for it though. Man I love this bar but they can not make a negroni for their lives. Doesn’t matter which bartender, it’s inconsistent every time. I am actually so annoyed I had to write a review. And as you watch them measure it, every ingredient is shorted. Don’t have it written on the board if yall can’t even use a jigger correctly. good beer and patio tho.

Really nice bartenders & back patio. Love that they are dog friendly. I was surprised by the cigar selection on sale & craft drink board. I just can't get past the bathroom. It was in really bad shape, needs a remodel big time and it was just dirty (3pm on Friday). I guess it is geared for college ther college crowd.

Very cool spot in terms of vibe. However, the drinks are not good. The lemonade is sour mix. And the bartenders shorted us on a jigger pour because the bottle ran out and they couldn’t be bothered to get a new one. Def not friendly bartenders. Such a shame because it’s a cool space. Been to this place twice now, the first time the bartenders were nice and the drinks were good. However the second time the bartenders yelled at our group immediately for ID's (it's a college town they need to do that, but maybe put a guy at the front and back checking ID's instead).

I thought the beer selection was okay. It's not amazing, but it's better than Texas Roadhouse. My party and I felt very rushed when we ordered our drinks, which can be understandable when a bar is busy, but we were the only ones at the bar at the time. I know lots of people like this place, so give it a try. It was not my cup of tea.

NOT DOG FRIENDLY. They won't let you in to order a drink if you have a dog. Walk down to Miss Angeline's instead. Angeline's has a bigger patio and they love dogs. Forget Oak Street Drafthouse.

Let's start with the positive. Excellent selection of beer on tap. You can slam me all you want but I don't need to see a rainbow on the front window. You don't know or care what I believe so don't put it in our face what you support. Let's just drink together.

I have been to Oakstreet many times with friends. Casual atmosphere, right? I wish I would have gotten his name (short dark hair, glasses) but I didn't know the rule of no outside drinks, as we can bring dogs and outside food. I purchased two drinks, and bought drinks for my friends. I had a small wine bottle that I brought, and this guy went off on me. As I'm sitting quietly in the back with my friends, he yells at me, tells me it's against the law, and he has to escort me out IMMEDIATELY. You would have thought he caught me having sex with a minor in the back corner, the way he acted and treated me. I have no problem with the rule (I didn't know) but the way it was delivered was inexcusable. Neither I, or my friends, will ever go back there!

Went a few weekends ago and I usually have a good time there but recently a bearded guy mistaked me for someone else and accused me of throwing up in an alley way. He denied serving me but the kicker is I wasn’t asking for a drink, I was asking for water. I also was completely sober. I understand if I was being unreasonable or loud but I had just walked into the place and hadn’t said a word. He also immediately was accusing me instead of confirming who I was and where I had come from. Completely changed my outlook on the place after this situation.

First and last time. Worst customer service from a bartender I’ve encountered. We visited Denton during the Spooky Spirit Stroll to discover new bars and restaurants in the area. The establishment was an official event stop on the paid crawl, which ran from 1-5pm. We arrived at 4pm and were immediately yelled at by the bartender saying the bar ran out of the featured cocktail. We asked if there was anything we could sample and were told we could only purchase drinks in a demeaning manner. The bar was not busy and the bartender genuinely wanted nothing to do with anyone involved in the stroll. We bookmarked many of the other stops due to great hospitality and overall experience, but have no plans of returning to the drafthouse due to the poor customer service.
