This is the cutest little sushi spot — it looks straight out of an anime series! 🎌 The restaurant is run, cooked, and served by the sweetest family. My server, a lovely young woman named Leah, was kind and attentive from start to finish. I ordered the honey ginger tea, miso soup, the Godzilla roll, and two orders of edamame (it would’ve been three, but I got too full 😅). Every bite was delicious. The atmosphere was soothing and cozy, the service was thoughtful, and I felt genuinely welcomed. I highly recommend this place not only for how kawaii it looks, but also for its amazing food and heartfelt service. I couldn’t be happier! 💕🍵🍣

My husband and I moved to Texas a year ago from PNW and have been on the hunt for good food, especially sushi. This place nailed it, I'm so used to good fresh seafood and I've missed it so much. Quality of ingredients are there! Jason was funny and kind, spent time with us going over the menu. The restaurant was quiet with good music. PERFECT date night, already planning on coming back!

Very good sushi quality, the waiter was very friendly and helpful with our rowdy kids. Very good selection of rolls and the specialty sushi options are great. I got the creamy Ono sushi, really good! Also I recommend the Franky roll, it has a really good green sauce.

I know I review a lot of sushi places well, but this one was above and beyond! The atmosphere is quiet and romantic, but you could also enjoy meals with friends and family too! The cherry blossom bowls are so cute! Service was very quick and attentive. The food was not only delicious, savory, scrumptious! But it was also gorgeous! The presentation was beautiful. The owner/chef even came by personally. Motto Sushi is so comfy and we felt so cared for. A restaurant who truly loves their customers. ♥️🌸 We will definitely be returning! I want motto Motto Sushi!

We used to drive to Dallas to get sushi, but happy to say that we can eat delicious sushi near home now. We have dined here twice and both times we really enjoyed our meal. Strongly recommend the omakase (comes with miso soup & kizami wasabi), Franky Roll, Creamy Ono Sushi, and Lychee Strawberry drink. The kizami wasabi and smoked soy sauce complement the sushi well. The owner/chef, his sons, Peter, and other staff were all friendly, made great recommendations, and provided excellent service to make our dinner enjoyable. Will definitely be coming back!

I was recommended this place by a co-worker. All I can say is it’s truly an outstanding experience. I have had sushi from many places, most okay, some good, fewer great one and this one honestly has been the best yet. James and his son Jason along with the other staff are warm and welcoming. James gave me sushi recommendations based off what I enjoy. The cucumber lemonade made in house is wonderful. Until you make a klutz mistake and waste it all by spilling all over yourself like I did. I was furious at my clumsiness because I wasted a fair portion of it. They even refilled my glass after cleaning the mess I MADE! I will be coming back as often as I can when I make it back to Denton. This will be my number one stop.

Another stop in Dallas for us and this Sushi place did not disappoint at all. Customer service is outstanding, you can tell they care about their customers. One of the chefs even came out to offer suggestions to another table that didn't know what to order. We ordered 6 different rolls and they all started coming out in less than 15 minutes, that's amazingly fast. All the traditional rolls were excellent and tried some specialty rolls which were great as well. Yellowtail Lover roll and Crouching Tiger rolls were my most favorite. To top it off, the desert tempura fried ice cream was delicious, green tea ice-cream that was not bitter or too sweet surrounded by a layer of raspberry, and crispy tempura, so very good and refreshing. The prices are good, service is great, I highly recommend coming here if you are in the area.

I adore this place. Every single time I go its an amazing experience. High quality ingredients, amazing presentation, always pleasant staff, and the best sushi I've probably ever had. If you go on the weekends, they fly in high quality rare fish that I never thought I would get to try in my life. It's not just the best sushi in Denton, this restaurant is going places. The pictures speak for itself!

We've been coming to this restaurant at least once a month and always have a fantastic experience. The ambiance is inviting, and the service is top-notch. Our go-to order includes the red dragon roll, salmon sashimi, tuna belly sushi, and miso soup—plus we love trying at least one new item each visit. The oysters are incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious, the salmon collar is outstanding, and the sweet shrimp sushi is always a treat. Highly recommend!

The food was really good! The fish was fresh and tasted great. The service is awesome, they are always checking with you to make sure everything is going well. The price is very competitive for the amount of food served. The only issue, and could be considered a minor or major depending on who you ask, is the rice. The sushi rice wasn't as moist as you would expect, seeming a little overcooked, thus affecting the consistency of the rolls. Other than that, I would come back here anytime!
