Everything was superb! Very tasty food, great views and atmosphere, great service. It was a bit pricey but that may be expected for this area (and the fact that the restaurant is located on resort property)
Absolutely loved my experience at the spa complex! From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped in a serene atmosphere that instantly melted away my stress. The decor is stunning—gorgeous, calming colors and beautiful natural elements create a perfect backdrop for relaxation. The treatments were exceptional. I indulged in a massage and facial, both of which were tailored to my needs and left me feeling rejuvenated. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, making sure I felt comfortable throughout my visit. I also appreciated the range of amenities available, from the tranquil relaxation areas to the soothing sauna. It truly felt like a retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. If you’re looking for a place to unwind and pamper yourself, I highly recommend this spa complex. It's a gorgeous oasis that offers the perfect escape for relaxation and rejuvenation!
Great restaurant! Loved the gluten free waffles and salads! I didn't stay at this resort but came for the lunch after a day soak at another property because the menu looked so good and wasn't disappointed! Great professional staff, have me a table outside so I could have a business call while I dined alone.
Loved their vegetarian and vegan choices. Will go back again.
Great food, wonderful staff i will be returning:)
Fantastic spa. Fantastic views at the restaurant. Food was good.
Beautiful place. Not crowded. Should make reservation. $$$$.
Amazing food and incredible, experienced staff.
Food here was absolutely delicious!
I am stunned that I only live 1 mile from this Oasis.
We almost went here

First off the music had me happy relaxed but grooving at the same time! We got the Mediterranean platter as a snack between soaks and dinner. It was so tasty and fresh. Our server went out of his way to make our experience amazing… including hunting down some dessert chocolate for us even though they had desserts on the menu that I can’t wait to try tonight! Issac was incredibly accommodating to us! This is the best service I’ve ever had at any restaurant. And thank you to the chef for creating a unique platter full of flavors!
Fantastic guest only restaurant. It’s rare to find a place that spends so much time and care on their vegetables. Great food and excellent execution on a concise and well thought out menu. Fantastic!
Very unique and tasty dishes, we came for dinner and loved everything we ordered
My wife and I have experienced many outstanding restaurants domestically and internationally, and found the kitchen at TBP to be exceptional. The food is objectively excellent, beautiful and well executed. Highly recommend the Kimchi Carbonara and Jidori Chicken on their dinner menu—we both absolutely loved the unique flavors and creative spin on these classics. The staff are all so friendly and professional!
We had a birthday lunch for my husband and wanted something different. Essense provided just that. We walked through the tranquil grounds so get to the restaurant. We passed a meditation pool and saw people engaged in tai chi. The beautiful palm tree were inviting and cooling. The restaurant was open and calm. I had a burger with parmesan fries. My husband had the salmon. Both meals were delicious! Best yet, it was organic and flavorful. We sat by the window and had an amazing view.
This place has a great and quiet atmosphere and the food, although pricey, is great. I had the fingerling breakfast potatoes and they melted in my mouth. If you're not a healthy eater and appreciate very little salt and sugar in your dishes, then this is the place e got you. I loved it.
Thia Hidden Desert Jewel is just as it was stated... "A Hidden Jewel"! However, ONCE you've found it, it becomes a "Treasured Jewel" and you need to keep it in your "Jewelry Box"! And like every fine piece of Jewelry, you gotta wear it again...and again😌🙏🏿! Thank you for the wonderful experience.... "I'll Be Back" said someone very Famous...lol!
I have been coming to Two Bunch Palm's for many years, and the restaurant has become absolutely amazing! The food is exquisite and the staff is wonderful and attentive. Will be returning for many years to come!
Delicious vegan options! All food is good. Clean and beautiful. Super good service. Worth the $, I will be back thank you.
Loved the ambiance. The scallops over risotto was very good. Great wine selection. Server was very knowledgeable and fun.
We enjoyed our meal here
Not stuffy and not overpriced. Beautiful food locally sourced organically grown and delicious. If you appreciate quality this place is for you.
I am VEGAN and I got the Orechetti Pasta for take out and it was amazing! Good food on the more expensive side but quality and worth the 20 bucks! A++++
The food was amazing, and it's such a gorgeous property. All the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful!
Relaxing atmosphere with a wonderful menu. Service was excellent as was the food and the wines. Enjoyable evening
Had an excellent dinner for my wife’s birthday. Food was great and service was exceptional.
Food was good but I wish they have sides on the main course. The service was phenomenal, fast and our waiter was good. I like the simple decor, minimalist restaurant.
NOTE! Not open to the general public. Hotel guests ONLY.
Great place to eat
Really enjoyed the Vegan dishes, though I also eat meat, this was a nice healthy brake. The cream of broccoli soup without cream or cheese was superb bursting with flavor of broccoli. Also had a delicious oyster mushroom & potatoes. Beet salad was excellent too, server suggested added greens which made it even better. My only complaint is it's quite pricey for what you get, but it's a gorgeous property, so I imagine something has to go for that. It's a lot of stairs to go up to the restaurant, great view, enjoy.
Essence Restaurant is located at Two Bunch Palms (a natural mineral spa & silent yoga/ therapy retreat.) The property offers natural hot springs; a place to unwind & heal ...away from the grind of the city. I am quite snobbish about where I dine; I really love Essence. I love the decor, the menu, the simplicity, the service, and the entertainment. The menu & dishes are highly suitable for vegans & vegetarians ,and yet will not disappoint carnivores. One of the best restaurants I've been to in & around Palm Desert.
When the restaurant used to be Essence (pre-2020), it was excellent (5 stars!). I believe that because the public was allowed to dine there, it made it more of a "real" restaurant. I have not been since they closed the property to non-guests, but we surely do miss Essence.
The food tasted very fresh and it was good. Some of the people in my group loved it, while some said it was okay. The menu in the restaurant doesn't match the pictures or what's on the site. A little disappointing to see waffles on the website and no waffles on the actual menu. The server was very nice but messed up a couple orders, apologized and corrected it. The view was amazing and the restaurant was clean. Overall it was an okay experience.
This restaurant is on the Two Bunch Palms property so you need a reservation to get to it. It is literally the only decent restaurant in Desert Hot Springs, which is unfortunate since the food is overpriced and the service is inattentive at best. Luckily you won't be in a hurry if you are staying here.
Food was okay but definitely not worth the price they’re charging. Paid over 20 bucks for meh eggs Benedict.
We have been happily coming to TBP and dining the restaurant for at least 10 years, through all the recent renovations and buy out by CLC. We love the history of the place and the vibe. Food has always been fresh and tasty, with professional service. On our most recent visit, no wait staff or manager seemed over 22, which might have been fine . . . but then there was a "problem" with our entree & we waited over 30 minutes for our main courses. Which could have been made ok with an apology, a comped glass of wine, a little acknowledgement. Instead, our server pretty much ignored us, didn't ask if we wanted another glass or wine, had a "whatever" attitude. When our main courses arrived, they were lukewarm and looked like the kitchen had run out of ingredients and run down to the supermarket in Desert Hot Springs for whatever they had on hand. Very disappointing. We could easily go into Palm Springs for a great meal, we don't have to eat here. Keep up your standards, be more attentive and have some ownership!
Decor is early school cafeteria. Not at all attractive. Other reviews describe this as "upscale" which baffels me. I didn't care for the menu but it would probably appeal to vegan or vegetarian tastes, just not my thing. I regret choosing this place.
If you like a stuffy, stifled environment where the 'headmaster' is watching your every move...come on over. The quality was okay...can't fault the kitchen. For the overpriced items to be told you can't use your cell phone in the restaurant when your companion leaves feeling sick is offensive. There is no need to ever eat here. It is stuffy, snobby, and over priced.
This restaurant is available only for hotel guests
Couldn't get in. They forgot to post on the website...it is closed
Not open to the general public…. Hotel guests only
Interesting that this restaurant excludes local residents. Unless you stay overnight local residents are not welcome. Who owns this resort?
Didn’t get to try the food, this is only open to hotel guests with that information posted no where other than with security at the gate…
Drove to the place only to find out it is not open to the public, only people that stay at the resort . Would have been ice to knew this when we were looking for a place to eat
Made reservations a week ago for a party of 10 and got there to find out that it is closed for a wedding. Definitely would not recommend.
As of 4/25 only open to hotel guests, making reservations online doesn't work.
