La Feria staff was friendly and engaging. The food was delicious! We enjoyed several tapas and drinks sitting at the bar and were very happy with the quality of the food and drinks. I will most definitely be back and try a full meal experience. Nice atmosphere for catching up with a friend and having some drinks and aps!
Just had dinner here at the bar. Lucas K was the bar tender who served us. He was extremely knowledgeable recommending great drinks, food, and provided 10/10 service. The atmosphere was great with amazing music in the background and the vibes of the restaurant made my wife and I feel like we were in Europe. We couldn’t recommend this spot more and we will be back.
5 stars for everything!!! Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing night out. We ordered mini tapas, sardines, and croquettes—everything was incredibly delicious and full of flavor. The service was super quick and friendly, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for authentic and tasty tapas!
The flat steak and the baby octopus were 10/10. If I come back, I think I could order 10 of them and not get tired of it. I wish the portions were bigger, but its a tapas place so I guess the portions are supposed to be small. Waiters were knowledgeable and could explain different menu items and drinks to me. Street parking isn't free and depending on what time of the day you go, you won't find parking ever.
Check this out! That beautiful square fuchsia -hued deliciousness is beet gazpacho! Four us enjoyed so many flavors and textures. Do you like canned sardines? Try the fresh roasted sardines! Aren’t they cute! - the skin and bones are crunchy-chew well! Ask for the pulpo sliced - it’s soft and slightly sweet and fun. It’s a tentacle - you get to eat an octopus’s tentacle! The wine was rich and perfect with the variety of foods. Agua de Valencia, a Mediterranean cocktail crafted with oranges and cava, is not on the menu, but they will make it for you. The churros are fresh and warm and crunchy. Someone in the kitchen was a bit too enthusiastic and overcooked the tortilla, wonderful comfort food made with eggs and potatoes. The steak was so good. I don’t remember everything. Oh, we arrived on time for an early dinner reservation Friday. No rush yet, but filled quickly. Attentive knowledgeable service - we asked for clean plates at least once - no problem. The servers tell you the name of the food when they put it on your table - such a good idea. Filled water glasses too. Our server had visited the Alhambra - so nice to share a rare experience with someone! I think the only thing that would make this experience better is a personal tong- tweezer tool to use so I don’t have to stick my fork into foods I’m sharing with other people. Especially olives. I look forward to eating here again!
Some of the best food we’ve ever had, everything was perfect. The Pisto Manchego (stewed veggies with an egg on top) and fried eggplant with honey were our favourites but everything we tried was delicious. The sangria was also great and the service was friendly and quick. Update: one of our favourite restaurants anywhere!! Can’t go wrong with a single thing in the menu there
Fantastic tapas, wine and service! We had a variety of tapas including the patatas bravas, gambas al ajillo and about 6 more plates haha. All were delicious and unique! The service was great as well and our plates came out nicely spaced apart so we could enjoy out meal at a nice pace without a crowded table of dishes. We shared a bottle of the albariño which was tasty and tart! We will be back
This was my first time here and I really enjoyed it. the food we had was really good, the portions were great, and I really enjoyed my margarita. I will admit that the pricing is a little high for the portion size, but we enjoyed the food enough so it wasn't a huge deal. The food came out quickly, as they were prepared, which was really nice. We ordered four things and they were placed perfectly. I will definitely go back if I am in the area. I came back here today (02/26/2022) and it was just as good as every other time. This place is consistently good. We got a few new dishes this time and they were all really good. Definitely worth the visit.
This place is AWESOME!!! Half of the venue only serves cold tapas and drinks while the other side is full service. They serve a variety of tapas but I recommend the potatoes, fried calamari and baby octopus. The sangria has the most natural taste a dm goes great with the meal. Churros were a great way to end the meal. Service is great!! We'll definitely be back.
I’ve been begging to go for ages, and we finally went here for the first time today. Needless to say, my expectations were sky-high. Well, to my great satisfaction, it was absolutely amazing. The restaurant is in a Spanish small plate style. All of the dishes are labeled in Spanish and most are detailed in English. Plan on ordering a few dishes per person. The moment we walked in we were greeted by a very hospitable host. Our server was astounding. He was attentive, patient, and extraordinary with his timing. The restaurant was about three-quarters filled, with a capacity of maybe 50. There’s a full service bar, we went with a Spanish wine for a full experience. The wine was good, the food was great. Speaking of which, we started with some tostadas, or fancy toasts, which were elegantly flavorful. After which, we put in our order for our main dishes. The server brought our dishes out one by one as they were prepared. This made sure everything was perfectly fresh. We went with the calamari, shrimp, mushrooms, and potatoes. All of which I would highly recommend, but especially the calamari. Top two calamari dishes I have ever had in my life. All of the food tasted fresh and lively. All-in-all it was a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, the staff was amazing, and the ambiance was simultaneously comfortable and intimate. I highly recommend La Feria.
Great tasting tapas which are appetizer dishes as I understand it. Reasonably priced? I’d say overpriced The churros were good, the chocolate dipping sauce tasted powdery?? If I could suggest an improvement to the churro is to make the crunch layer thinner making it softer overall with a crunchy thin shell. The flan was way too eggy. Needed some vanilla to offset the egg taste or something Friendly staff who are on top of their game. There is patio seating too.
We celebrated our friend's Birthday here last night. I will definitely return soon! The food was excellent. My favorite were the almond stuffed dates wrapped in crispy bacon. Amazing! I was pleasantly surprised by the rather extensive menu. They really offer something for everyone, even picky eaters like me. The atmosphere is very cozy and the service was great! They have a good wine list and actually pour you a nice glass, not the thimble full that you get at some restaurants. The prices are very reasonable too, which is much appreciated. The only thing that I would note is that I would not recommend it for large groups. It is a very small space so go enjoy with a few friends!
One of my favorite Tapas places in the area. The tortilla, patatas bravas and flan are my favorites and are consistently flavorful and they always taste fresh.
La Feria is one of a kind restaurant in Detroit. It offer Spanish Tapas and Spanish theme drinks. Don't come here hungry though, because Tapas are not supposed to fill you up, otherwise you will have a pretty big tap. You can try a variety of tapas and every one of them pack with flavors. Nimble on a piece of fresh grill octopus, pair with a sip of sangria and you will have a good time. Except for the potatoes, it is just like the garlic hashbrown I make at home, but cost is triple
Very good food. This is a small restaurant, so I can imagine it gets very busy during peak hours. We went in the middle of the week for a late lunch, so we were practically the only people there. They have a varierty of gluten free options including Almond cake for dessert. We will be back.
Honestly, what I enjoyed the most was the atmosphere. It was relaxed, yet welcoming, with a small hint of romantic. We were quite fortunate that we were able to sit by the open windows as there was a wonderful breeze as we enjoyed the many different kinds of tapas. If you go there around 6 or 7,you'll get to experience two different atmospheres as they dim the lights inside and turn on these nicely placed lightbulbs that are outside. The food was quite good. There was a good variety and it was well flavored and seasoned. I was content to have been able to try something as strange as watermelon soup though the taste was not as exotic as the name implies it to be. The one thing I was not super thrilled about was the service. Don't get me wrong, the people that served us were great!... When they came around. It took a bit more time than expected to get attended and a few times we had to catch their attention because they hadn't stopped by the table in a while. Overall a nice place for some good tapas. Highly recommended for a relaxing date.
