Food was tasty and service was great. There is a bit of wait even after the lunch hour. Yuk Gae Jang was so big I couldn't finish it in one sitting. Definitely going back.
This location is a bit smaller than the chino hills location but the food tastes the same. Love their tofu soups and everything else on the menu from their cold noodles, to katsu, to soups, and meat dishes. I love the endless amount of side dishes, my favorite being the seaweed and the cucumber dishes. We went around 7 pm on a Saturday - there was a much shorter line than their other location which I was very happy about.
Tasty Korean beef on sizzling hot "pan."
Best Korean food in town, hands down. Staff is always quick, responsive and helpful. Food is the best you will have in all surrounding areas outside of LA. Highly recommend, just make sure to get here before the 7pm rush.
Great place to get tofu soup, but try coming at a time when it isn't busy. When it is, the quality of food goes down to increase the amount of entrees delivered to each table. The rice was under-cooked and the soups were a little watery. However, when we went at a not-so-busy time, the meals were great.
This is the best tofu house in a 15 mile radius. Hands down. I’ve tried plenty. The spicy level isn’t strong, so order over your normal level if you like it spicy. The galbi meat quality is up there! Their char level varies, but great most of the time. The ban chans are great and they refill without telling me “this isn’t a buffet”. Service is nice! Warning is they sometimes close early (30min-1hr). They also have a chino hills location. Same quality.
The food here was delicious. I came here with 2 of my friends and we all enjoyed the food (bibimbap + tofu soup+ spicy pork dish) . Overall our server was very kind and attentive, and the vibe was very chill. Definitely coming back 👌
All the staff members were friendly, and Mr Jiho in particular was impressive because he served the customers at eye contact as if he were the owner.
The best soon tofu place in SoCal! Great taste! Great staffs! I can recommend this place to anyone who likes soon tofu!
Great staff and love the food! I have been to Korea 26 times in the last 11 years and whenever I miss Korea, I go into this restaurant and I feel so happy
This is my absolute favorite restaurant ever. The only thing I order, however, is the dumpling sundubu with added enoki mushrooms, extra spicy. I've never brought someone to this restaurant without them begging me the following week to take them again. Highly recommend. They also have another location in Chino Hills.
The food was delicious and the service was fast. Price is slightly higher. For example, a tofu soup costs around $17. But they do give you a big bowl of brown purple rice already cooked in a ceramic bowl. We had a group of five and ordered two combos and three other dishes. If you like tofu soup, I highly recommend that you order the combo so you get a side dish such as ribs. That way, you get the best of both worlds. They are also very generous with their side dishes. The waitresses were very responsive, quick and polite. The only down size was that both of their restrooms were out of service. I hope it was only temporary.
I absolutely love this Korean tofu restaurant! The exceptional service makes every visit a delight. Even on weekends, the wait time is reasonable. The dishes consistently deliver on quality and flavor, making it a reliable go-to spot for a satisfying meal.
First time coming here, the food was fantastic, we ordered the pork cutlet and the spicy chicken. Even though the restaurant was full because it was dinner time, the service was still very fast and the food came in no time. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back!
Came here with a coworker. I ordered the stone pot bibimbap/tofu soup combo. Delicious! Got the dumpling tofu soup. Good too. Outside seating only still, which is limited. We didn't have to wait to be seated, but it was a late 2pm lunch. Great flavors! I was not disappointed.
My family and I are loyal regulars at Young Dong Tofu House—it’s hands down our favorite among all the tofu houses we’ve tried! The restaurant is always clean, and comfortable, and the service is consistently excellent. The staff are attentive and often check in to see if we’d like more side dishes, which we truly appreciate. Among the side dishes— the kimchi, bean sprouts, and fish cake are my top favorites—fresh, flavorful, and always satisfying. The tofu soup paired with brown rice is simply perfect. And the best part? The rice that gets crispy at the bottom of the hot stone pot can be softened with roasted barley tea to make a comforting scorched rice soup—it’s such a delightful way to end the meal. Every visit leaves us full and happy. It’s not just a meal—it feels like comfort in a bowl. Can’t wait for our next visit!
This is my family’s go-to spot for tofu stew. Very yummy banchan, excellent kimchi tofu beef and reasonably priced. I am definitely coming back
I stayed in LA for over a week and tried various restaurants and delivery food options, including Chinese and Western cuisine. (i'm from korea) Honestly, I always felt that prices in the U.S. are higher than in Korea, and that the value for money was lacking compared to Korea. I also wasn’t satisfied with the taste. But for the first time, I was truly satisfied with the food at this restaurant. Compared to Korean restaurants, the food was quite tasty, and the portions were shockingly large. In particular, the yukgaejang (spicy beef soup) is enough to fully satisfy four women or three men. I think three people could easily share one yukgaejang and one pork cutlet and feel completely full. The pork cutlet, yukgaejang, and bibim naengmyeon all came in very generous portions and tasted quite good. This was the first proper restaurant in the U.S. that I was genuinely satisfied with. I’ve shared my honest, personal opinion, so please take it as a reference.
Been here for their tofu pot for years, but decided to try something different today, due to the 110+f weather. Ordered pork cutlets and glass noodles. Both are delicious. BTW, their kimchi is the best around the town.
Come here with a BIG appetite. They have HUGE portions! Excellent banchan, tofu soup and freshly cooked rice served in stone pot. They serve the best kimchi in town. Lots of tofu shops around, but YOUNG DONG is my favorite. You won't regret.
Honestly my new favorite Korean place. The banchan here is so incredibly good. They are a bit skimpy when it comes to refilling them (especially the kimchi) but it’s probably because they’d prefer for you to buy a whole jar of it. Every dish has amazing flavor and the service is great!
Really good Korean food. Love their beef tofu soup, side dishes, and freshly cooked rice! They used to have more variety of side dishes before pandemic…
We visited this restaurant for the first time. The service was excellent, very considerate. Especially, a young male waiter was always welcoming with a smiling face and very polite. The beef tofu soup was delicious, and the ribs were also tasty. The kimchi and bean sprouts are also very authentic. The only thing is that the portion size of the combination is not very large .We will definitely go there again. Thank you.
Good foods Young Dong Tofu in Diamond Bar, California, is a go-to spot for comforting Korean tofu soups and BBQ dishes. The tofu stews are rich, flavorful, and customizable in spice level, served piping hot with an array of banchan (side dishes). The restaurant has a casual, no-frills atmosphere, making it ideal for a cozy, satisfying meal. Service is prompt and attentive, though the place can get busy, especially during dinner hours. Prices are reasonable for the generous portions and authentic flavors. Overall, it's a solid choice for those craving traditional Korean cuisine in a relaxed setting.
Excellent BBQ beef ribs and seafood tofu soup are not to be missed! Received a large serving of pork cutlet, shared among 6 persons as an additional dish. The cold vegetable appetizers (including kim chi) are delicious and refillable. Attentive and friendly service staff... highly recommended!
One of my favorite lunch spots. Everything is delicious, but I especially recommend the Spicy Chicken and Beef Octopus Tofu Soup. It's just under $20.00 but it's enough to feed two hungry people.
People here are really friendly! They accommodated my baby and my family and helped us feel comfortable. The food was also amazing. Ive come here a few times and have not been disappointed. Even though indoor is closed, the outdoor chairs have a nice atmosphere and is clean. Overall I would recommend this place to others. Love the tofu soup combo!
They have great customer service, always engaged me with a smile and have a proactive attitude to know what you want and the food is great too .so the service plus great food definitely will come back.most important they treat those who can't speak Korean equally that's the big difference with other Korean restaurants.
Pork cutlet meal is extremely delicious! They add cabbage, kimchi, seaweed, bean sprouts, and rice to your pieces of pork (plus a very delicious sauce) and this meal is not too expensive! Ordered it with takeout, lasted our family two days all at a great price.
I visited this restaurant again after 5 years of moving to another state. I was very happy to be able to eat the same taste as before. The size of the pork cutlet you eat here will always satisfy you.

Fantastic food!! Combo #2 and #7 soup.
Young Dong – Fantastic Korean Lunch in Diamond Bar! Had a great lunch at Young Dong in Diamond Bar! I went with the Short Ribs Combo with Hot Pot, and it did not disappoint. The short ribs were tender and flavorful, perfectly grilled, and paired well with the rich and comforting hot pot. The service was excellent, friendly, attentive, and quick without feeling rushed. They made sure everything was just right. If you're craving quality Korean BBQ and hot pot in a welcoming setting, this is definitely a spot worth visiting. I’ll be back for sure!
This is literally one of my favorite restaurants ever. Been coming here for over 15 years and they’re always consistent. Quality, tasty, and the service is amazing. Brian is quite possibly the best waiter in the world and you can tell he really cares. Its the little things that they do, like always making sure your water and tea is full, or putting a napkin over the hot stone pot lid so you don’t burn your fingers. They care and they always have. Needless to say, I’ll be coming for another 15 years, and then another.

Food is good! Service is pretty rough. The saddest part is my to go order was spoiled. I had cooler to keep it. So I am very sure it's been sitting in the kitchen without good care while I dined at the dining area for about an hour. Very disappointed!!!
This is the place we went to have a quick bite when we moved to Diamond Bar 8 years ago and then we found so many other places to eat and almost forgot this restaurant. Recently we visited this place again, the menu is same except price a little higher. The quality of food are same but now they gave you disposable chopsticks instead of re-usable ones in the past. Other than that, not much change, always busy but the waiting time is tolerable. I like this beef BBQ rib combo with seafood tofu soup and they are good. They don’t have steak knife but so provide a pair of scissors and a small pair of tongs so that you don’t have to eat BBQ beef with just chopsticks.
This restaurant is truly delicious. All the side dishes and main dishes are incredibly tasty and generously portioned. The servers are friendly, but it took almost until the end of the meal to get the rice bowl we requested. In terms of food, it's top-notch, but service-wise, it's average.
Great soondubu spot near HMart! Very busy place with quick turnaround. We arrived around dinner time on Sunday, and we were third down on the waitlist. But we only had to wait ~10 min Food: big portions and lots of side dishes. Bathroom: men’s restroom was relatively clean! But there’s only one toilet for men.

Service is good, 4 star. Food is ok, 3 star. I ordered the seafood noodle, but I feel nothing much special about it. Parking is hard so you might need to use valet parking. I arrived at 10pm but there is a still line and you need to wait for 10 minutes.
Your basic Korean tofu soup place. The tofu soup is well flavored but not that spicy even at the highest level. The major downside to this place is the banchan here is probably the worst I've ever had. It all tastes extra fishy and salty. The other Korean dishes are okay but the tofu is definitely the highlight.
Came back for second time after first time I ate with my hubby, it was not good but I thought we came late when it almost closed so the food and service were not good as expected. They have advantage when no competitors around for tofu house. Food is expensive, taste is very average and side dish is not as generous and tasty as BDC tofu. I came to order Bibimbap without notice they have hot stone and regular, I order regular. They brought out rice and side dish. When open rice pot, I did not see topping as usually you could see in bibimbap so I called the waitress to make sure that rice is for my table. They said it was, I asked them so where were the topping? They seemed not understand, they kept telling me I order normal one not hot stone. I had to ask so regular does not have topping or what, I did not understand. The lady was very annoyed to me, she sighed in front of me, told me topping will come with Tofu soup later. Yes, all I need to know is information but they did not understand and had attitude to me. In their menu, no picture and explanation for hot stone and regular Bibimbap are same same with Steam rice topped with sautéed beef and etc. Topping came out, beef was very dry, all other ingredient was so cold, if you add hot steam rice to and mix, never it has enough the warm to eat. Not mention, rice is dry and a bit hard as well. I must say since I am too tired for long drive and terrific traffic from OC to home in Pomona, I had to eat food here to gain some energy to keep my driving. I also order 1 to-go for my hubby so that I will not need to cook for tonight after a long day and exhausted drive. They are lucky having no competition so their guest is full always but I believe if BDC or other tofu house come nearby, they will soon be forgotten on market if they are not improving in cooking style and services. I personally will not come back, I will try somewhere else.
Too bad for imposing the extra charge (tax). All too late because it's for years.
their service is terrible, please do go there to eat
