Jerry Longo's Meatball & Martini's

I have read all the reviews and this is my experience , which because my wife and I ordered the same entree is not a full representation. First time experience. Service was excellent . Food was very good . Ordered Sinatra shrimp for appetizer. It was very good , the price was outrageous $22 for 2 shrimp on sliced italian bread. For entree we ordered chicken Francese over risotto which was.very good. We would not order the Shrimp appetizer again as.it is not worth $11 per shrimp. We just moved down here in April. It is the so far the best Italian resturant we have tried so far. We tried Roma in Dover and basically the same price point but inferior to Jerry longo. The chef there had a very heavy hand with salt. Fried calamari was a salt bomb and tough. Pastas were also salty and the red sauce horrible. My wife ordered flounder and it was overcooked and tough.

Made a reservation and the table was pushed together at last minute. Not a big deal. I ordered a lemon drop martini and it had hardly any limoncello in it. They were out of the beer that the guys ordered. The sweetened ice tea was a hit. The food was decent - we had the calamari, supli, meatballs, cucumber tomato salad, the north end pizza and the margherita pizza. We asked for dessert and then was told it was too late for dessert because they had switched her to their late night menu. Our reservation was at 10:30pm, so I would think if we started with the regular menu we should finish with what that entails unless we had been told upon being seated. Service was okay, but I think our guy was new. Was not overly impressed, was just okay.

The atmosphere is wonderful! We really enjoyed the ambience and the music and presentation. The meatball and ricotta is the best we've had. However, we both ordered the chicken parm that tasted like it came from an old time tv dinner. It was really disappointing. Maybe other menu items are better......

Reservation for a special anniversary. When we initially approached the entry kiosk, the hostess walked away without acknowledging us—we actually giggled and asked each other if we had invisible cloaks. We walked away , perused the casino and returned in 10 minutes. ( note She definitely saw us. ) Food was good( not great) : clams & spag, fettuccine alfredo with shrimp ( shrimp were perfectly cook, must say that) , beet salad ( beets were undercooked) . Strawberry shortcake was absolutely not worth calories—dry and flavorless. Cocktails were okaaay—a bit watery. One moment that was seriously off-putting was watching an employee exit kitchen with food service black gloved, go out into casino area ( unknown activity)and return 5-10 minutes later to kitchen STILL wearing the black food service gloves. Huh? Overall: food /service/atmosphere mediocre for price.

Nope. Be prepared to spend 25.00 for a mediocre plate of spaghetti and a dry meatball. Something you could easily get elsewhere. We were also put in a back room with busted up tables and a closed in atmosphere. Be WARNED that they DO NOT tell you, nor could we find it anywhere, that you that they add a tip to parties of 6. So our waiter, who was very average, would up with a 100 dollar tip on a $230 dollar meal. The drinks were good which made up for the meal being average at best. Much better restaurants out there for the money.

Giving this place 2 stars is being gracious. Service was extremely slow. Our waiter was terrible. Complete airhead. We felt ignored, even after we reached out to someone we thought was a manager. We had a party of 8 and half of us gave up on waiting for our drinks and went to the bar directly. The food came out bits at a time. One couple had a pizza that was inedible due to being super salty. Two others had Caesar salads that were terrible. Greens were super mushy. Like they'd been sitting around all night in the dressing. After all that, the waiter screwed up our checks. Bottom line, the food was sub par and the service was terrible. It took an hour just to get our drinks and over 2 hours to get through our meal. Management has a lot of work to do.

Went to Jerry Longo's Meatballs & Martini's for dinner yesterday 2/28/23. I had to make reservations as there were on walk ins. I was excited to be eating at a place where I had to book a table three hours in advance! The service was excellent! The waiter was very friendly which was no small feat being that he had 4 other tables to serve. Half of the food however was horrible. I had the Bolognese. It tasted like they opened a can of Ravioli and slopped it on my plate. The calamari was delicious although the marinara could have been better. Mind you, this is a five star restaurant! Needless to say, although pleased with the service, I was abjectly disappointed with the entre, the beef Bolognese.

Incredibly slow service, we waited over 20 minutes for coffee and a coke. The food was horrible. Fettuccine Alfredo- Noodles were sticky and stuck together in globs, the chicken was burnt, a total mess. Eggplant Parmesan- eggplant was extremely tough and bland. Each layer consisted of the skin which made it even chewier. Our waitress tried to make excuses for the food, suggesting that we were comparing it too much to the previous restaurant Frankies. This was our second dining experience here. The first time was equally bad, but we gave it another try. Never again!

The food had no flavor. We asked for Italian seasoning and the waitress said they didn't have any. This IS an Italian restaurant. The spaghetti sauce tasted like it was straight out of the can. The meatball had no flavor, and they are suppose to be famous for it.

Definitely not worth going! For a place that's supposed to be for martinis and meatballs was a joke. We had reservations for 6:45, sat immediately on the patio and waited 15 minutes with no server. Walked to hostess stand and told them we had never been noticed and she sent server. Server only had 3 tables including us. Took our drinks, I asked what she suggested for martinis so I took her suggestion of life is beautiful, it was drinkable that's about it, wouldn't get it again. We order spaghetti and chicken Alfredo. A 2 year old could make a better spaghetti, I didn't eat much of it, meatball was mushy and sauce had no flavor. My husband had what looked and tasted like can chicken in his Alfredo and the noodles were stuck together. We will never waste money there again. Server never checked on us. When she came finally after we were done for 20 minutes she asked if I needed a box I said no I wasn't impressed and she said I'm sorry I'll get check. She did take my dinner off the bill which I can't complain I didn't eat much of it. She never did come get the money so we left on table and walked out. Don't waste your time or money go somewhere else!
