We just had our 9th anniversary dinner here at Sawmill. Incredible food from start to finish, carefully crafted with clear expertise. Our server Mattea was wonderful . You can tell she cares about the restaurant and making sure her guests have a top notch experience. Locally sourced ingredients throughout both the food and beverage menus. Fresh, seasonal and lick your plate clean good. Thank you for a fantastic evening.

This place was outstanding!!!! I had the stuffed pork loin and ate half for lunch the following day.

One of the most beautiful restaurants you can walk into-and I’m originally from Napa Valley. Warm friendly folks taking care of you! We especially enjoyed the bartender Cynthia who also gave us a private tour of the speakeasy downstairs which was closed that night typically. We will definitely be back! Chef is definitely on his or her game! Cheers

On a lucky chance we were able to get a table here for our group of 9 in a private room. The moment you walk into the sawmill table you are welcomed by the most friendly people. And that would have been enough but the food and service were amazing. There is a great wine list with some great options that won’t break the bank. The menu ranges from steak to cod to chicken that will just fall off the bone so tenderly. A few good salads to start as well as the “Buffalo Brussels sprouts “ and the Sunday take out stir fry are all done perfectly. There are some great local cheeses to start or finish your meal. And some great cornbread with a maple butter and even a hot pepper jelly that both go so well together. This Place is just great, it will not disappoint.

Teresa was our waitress and she was phenomenal. The food was incredible!!! She was such a delight and made the experience something to remember. We’re visiting from NJ and this was just a random find on google and I’m so happy we came here! So good! 10/10. Thank you Teresa!

From start to finish our experience was outstanding. Once arriving at the restaurant, we are greeted by a lovely woman that was very kind. Our server Cynthia was very friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing. We will definitely be visiting again on our next trip.

We recently had breakfast there with friends, and it was amazing. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend the smoked bacon and salmon!

The Sawmill is decorated beautifully and I was really impressed as we walked in for breakfast. We were greeted and served by Aaryn who was extremely professional, polite and competent. She was a great ambassador for the business. The food was amazing and very good value compared to other places we’ve eaten at.

From the atmosphere to the food this place is spectacular. The hotel has a great atmosphere. The service was friendly. Interior is beautiful. Really enjoyed my corn beef skillet. I'd visit again the next time I'm in West dover for sure.

Amazing food - great service in a cozy Vermont converted barn and inn. Wonderful wine list and craft cocktails as well. The zeppole dessert is off the hook! Wonderful place for special occasions or just because. It is pricey but well worth it.

This is a great place to dine or have your wedding. The expansive grounds are well maintained and the staff if very friendly and helpful. Their food is 5* every time.

We love this place for a few drinks and apps. The speakeasy is now open and has become a busy destination. They make great cocktails.

Sawmill Bar and Table is one of our go to spots for date nights. Sitting by the fire place during the cold months sipping on expertly crafted cocktails never disappoints. The food, service, and atmosphere are always on point.

Passing through Vermont for the night and stumbled upon this hidden gem. Absolutely worth a stop, vibe on the outdoor patio is unmatched and food was great! Would come again if ever in the area

One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. I came here New Year’s Eve with my young daughters and we couldn’t have had a better time. The food was all delicious- the duck entree and butternut squash soup was my favorite, and the s’mores dessert (with real toasted marshmallows) was a great way to end the meal. Our server was so kind- making my girls feel good about their special New Year’s Eve outfits etc. And the ambience was so so charming- I could have sat just admiring all the woodwork and decorations all night. Highly highly recommend this place!

We met a local during our snowboard trip at Mt Snow and she recommended this farm to table restaurant. So we made a dinner reservation. As soon as I walked into the Inn I was drawn to the charming decor, I love the rustic feel atmosphere of this establishment. We decided to enjoy a cozy pre-dinner drink on the sofas by the wood burning fireplace. After that we moved onto our table in the dining room. Our server was jolly and attentive. We start off with PEI Mussels with Mustard Creme Sauce, the mussel were big & meaty. I got Cider Braised Half Chicken, it was so tender and flavorful. My hubby opted for the Pork Chop with Warm Bacon Apple Vinaigrette which taste pretty good. We had a decent meal and enjoyed the warm and romantic ambience at Sawmill Bar & Table Restaurant.

We were staying at the Inn and decided to have dinner here. Had trouble finding how to get to restaurant.When you come into the lobby go upstairs. Once we found it staff was very nice.The food was wonderful.They bring you a piece of cornbread with three choices of condiments (that changes frequently) ours were maple butter, herbs in oil and a pepper chutney.I had the salad with no pecans ( apparently no goat cheese either?) it was mainly baby spinach the dressing was delicious for my meal I had the chef tortellini you get three large ones in a delicious sauce and my husband got cod it was also delicious. Had crème brûlée

I ordered the blueberry griddle cake and yogurt (vegetarian). The pancakes were ridiculously good. The slight crisp and sweet was purely magical once they touched the taste buds. Light, fluffy, VERY large, and simply melted in my mouth. Chef CJ, YOU 👏🏾 ARE👏🏾 AMAZING!! Change nothing. Being over the Christmas holiday, the decor is simply breathtaking. A wonderful place to take crazy pics (Android / Samsung S21+ to be exact)😉 Sorry iPhone and you're welcome, Android /Samsung 😌. They have an upstairs and another separate dining room as well. I promise you, you will love it. Aryn - a true talent and example of natural beauty inside and out. Her service was phenomenal. This is a GREAT place and a must-see. Cheers 🥂 (and they have Mimosa's). I would give them 4.9 stars, if I could. The only downside (if any) is that the menu doesn't state anything about food allergies. For example, I have a nut allergy and didn't expect the yogurt (as seen in the pic I posted), and it was covered with various nuts. Chef CJ made me another one, fresh and fast.🫠

Stupendous service. Our waitress waited on us and was genuinely concerned about everything in our dining experience. Food was excellent well prepared warm as it should be, and there was excellent timing between courses ask for one of the rear rooms for a better view.

Went for a dinner, pretty great place, had excellent menu and atmosphere. Loved the fireplace and the little couch sitting area to enjoy drinks.

The food was pretty good, but I would expect more for the price per item. The service was impeccable. The waitress we had was lots of fun and they didn't rush us at all during our meal. They have seats by a fire, but they are limited and can probably only fit small groups. Not many people get up once they have a seat there. Overall a good experience.

Sawmill Bar & Table is a great spot for drinks and a casual night out. The atmosphere is warm and inviting — rustic, well-designed, and the kind of place you want to linger in. The staff were attentive and genuinely friendly, which made the whole experience feel welcoming. The food was the only area that left a little to be desired — solid bar food but nothing that really wowed. If they can elevate the menu to match the great service and vibe, this would easily be a five-star spot.

The food and service was very good. Two people in my party had walking disabilities and they said the elevator was broken (how long?) and the outside ramp was full of snow and ice with some salt thrown down. I believe it was 17 steps up and 17 steps down. Be aware.

Good food a little pricey for what you get. I had an excellent filet cooked perfectly wife had a NY strip that was well past medium rare and being sliced, they knew it.

Really feeling stricken to write a below average review, but I am hoping the restaurant won't make the same mistake twice. My husband and I were out alone to commemorate selling our Vermont property and leaving the state for good the very next morning. We wanted a quiet and contemplative evening, and one where we could forget our sadness for a moment. We got seating amidst a multi-family - multi-generational wedding party where new waves of out of town guests arrived every 15 minutes. All the hugging and greeting and joy and noise was taking place within inches of our table. There is no reason whatsoever we could not have been seated elsewhere. I am certain this gigantic party was having the time of their life and a wonderful reunion. But this was not the evening we were seeking for ourselves, and the commotion overshadowed our enjoyment hugely. The food was delicious, the setting amazing, the decor is fabulous, chair comfortable. Yes they nail the details. But I had no emotional nor physical space to enjoy any of it. I am very very disappointed at the thoughtlessness put into the arrangement of this group event and how in ruined our night. Please do not repeat this for anyone else.

Setting is charming, service was warm & attentive but overall the pacing of our dinner was rushed. I felt like they were trying to turn the table over quickly. Our starters came out right away (not a good sign when one of the starters was risotto), the mains followed quickly and our server asked us for our dessert order as soon as the dinner plates were removed. We felt rushed, not relaxed. Food was decent but not great. Pass on the risotto, it's a mushy rice pudding that's overcooked and under seasoned. My house made ravioli were good but drenched in too much heavy cream sauce. Based on their own marketing hype I expected more refined and better executed food.

I have been eating several times at your restaurant. However, the last time my family and I was there the server was not knowledgeable about the menu, failed to pack the leftovers and she didn’t offer us the dessert menu. We left the place disappointed despite the fact the food was delicious as usual

Honesty was not impressed and really do not understand the 4.7 rating. Two of the three meals were not what was ordered and the waitress tried to tell me that the pink inside of a burger was well done! Save your money and go somewhere else!
