My wife and I had drinks, dinner, and dessert here while traveling to Dublin for our anniversary. We shared the 2 Tasting Tails, essentially 6 small servings of various cocktails which were really good. I wish more places had this option as we found a couple we didn't love, but most were excellent and provided a unique experience. We shared the Steak Tasting for two and a couple of sides. Each steak was cooked perfectly and the flavor was excellent. For dessert, my wife had the Banoffe and I had the Creme Brulee which were both excellent as well. Total bill with the 10% included top was €121. Staff was very attentive and kind.
We had the most amazing meal. Our waiter Emrah couldn’t have been nicer, so helpful. Kind, funny and accommodating. Menu selection was great and gorgeous atmosphere.
Great dinner at Boeuf at Suffolk St. Food were scrumptious and huge portion. The staff, Xavier, is very friendly and helpful. Great service overall. Great place to have dinner/meal while you're in Dublin
Boeuf et Coq has a warm, intimate ambience that instantly sets the tone for a great night out. It’s the kind of place that feels just as perfect for a romantic date night as it does for a fun girls’ night, exactly how we experienced it. The vibe is cozy yet stylish, with low lighting and an energetic buzz that makes the space feel alive without being overwhelming. Service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall experience. My steak was cooked beautifully and packed with flavor, though it could’ve used just a touch more salt. That said, everything else on the table was absolutely slapping, from the sides to the cocktails, every bite and sip delivered. Overall, Boeuf et Coq is a solid choice when you’re looking for great food(the sides are very affordable as well), good energy, and a spot that feels a little special without trying too hard. Definitely a place I’d revisit. 🍷🥩✨
Tonight was my first experience here . I booked a table for my better half’s birthday. And I left as a local and I seeing why I had never been before ! Staff service food price everything was exceptional. We felt like we were in a 5 star restaurant . I would like to give a special thanks to enes and all the staff for making the extra effort for Amy’s birthday . Highly recommended. One of the best establishments in Dublin .
Gorgeous food and exceptional service. Ricardo was so attentive and helped us pick items we would like from the menu. Such a friendly and welcoming team. Lunch menu was great. Under €16, where could you go wrong.
The food and drinks were delicious. I asked for the taste tails, and they were pretty good. Jesus was very attentive, thanks for a great dinner.
The food was really good the fish was perfect Amazing. Special thanks tò Riccardo he was so friendly and professional We LL be back for sure
Jesus was absolutely amazing, very attentive, friendly and customer focused!
Absolutely amazing food and experience, truly loved the atmosphere. The meat was excellent, the sides were delicious and the dessert was also good!! Great selection of red and white wines. The service was great, very attentive staff.
It was such an amazing experience!! My friend and I were visiting Dublin. We’re from New York. The food was phenomenal and the hospitality and the staff were just amazing. especially our server I believe her name is Bosa ( I'm sure I'm spelling it wrong)(she is the beautiful Turkish young lady ). The best experience I've ever had including all the restaurants that I've been to in New York.
One of the best meals I've had in Dublin recently , incredibly good value steak, cooked to perfection, an abundance of sides to choose from. Everything we had was delicious . Can't wait to go back already, the cocktails are excellent, the staff are so so nice and there was a great atmosphere in the place. Definitely one to check out
Emrah and Gloria Were really nice with their service and recommendations we had a great time enjoyed every bite!
Called in for Sunday lunch. It was busy, but the service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant offered lunch specials for their mains. We shared a duck pate starter, which was of ample size and tasty, together with an 8oz beef burger that was delicious, and easily the best we have tried in Ireland. It came with fries and a bearnaise dipping source - yum! We could easily have tried anything on the menu, as our neighbours tried the fish and chips and the 6oz steak, both of which looked great.
Fantastic value. Most other places a lot more expensive. A great menu. Good drinks including spirits and cocktails. Great atmosphere and very friendly and attentive staff. Great location, just off Grafton Street. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Went for a friend’s birthday, had a fabulous time! Great food, drinks and service and they sang happy birthday beautifully. Would come back again. Definitely worth it.
My wife and I each had the fish & chips for lunch today, and agreed that they were the best we had on our trip. Light, but crisp outer batter and firm, flaky fish and excellent chips served piping hot. It is hard to beat this $15.95 euro weekly lunch special!
I had an amazing time at Boeuf and Coq last night. After accidentally booking a table at the wrong restaurant, the staff were kind enough to get us a table for 2. For starters, I had the boneless Coq with hot sauce. Oh was it absolutely delicious. typically you see with boneless wings the chicken can be rather try. However the moisture from the chicken was gorgeous and the hot sauce and blue cheese combo was unreal. For drinks, I had an espresso martini, which i have to say was worth the €15. I am not a fan of cocktails but needed that coffee kick. This was one of the best cocktails i have had in a while. For dinner, I had the medium done 10z Rump Steak with some skinny fries. Both were cooked to perfection. If anyone is looking to splash abit of cash for a good meal, I highly recommend Boeuf and Coq.
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was very charming, and I really loved the table setting — it was unique and beautifully arranged. The food was excellent, and the meat was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was very polite and knowledgeable. She explained everything clearly and even recommended the best dishes. A special thank you to Gloria — 100 extra points because she spoke Italian and made us feel completely at ease. Highly recommended!
The best experience celebrating our first anniversary! We were served by Gabriela when Beas knowledgeable about the food and an exciting server! Very grateful for the experience! Thank you Gabriela
Nothing bad to say about this place. The food is amazing and for a steak house, it's very affordable. The staff are brilliant, not too in your face, but attentive enough. The manager, Ricardo, is top notch. I love this place so much that both my partner and I booked our staff Christmas meals here!
Had the steak of a lifetime this week. Absolutely stunning. Cooked to perfection! Gloria was sound, always on top of things, making sure everything was spot on. If you’re a steak lover, do yourself a favour and get yourself here. Pure heaven.
The food was amazing ordered the ribeye steak. It was absolutely delicious. Gloria our server was so nice and helpful. Recommend 100%
Had a fantastic dinner here while on a group trip. They were accommodating to our group of 16 without much notice, provided great service, and the restaurant’s decor and vibe was great! Our server Gabriela was a delight! Don’t miss the wings—we ordered as a starter then later ordered more. The pesto bread was also mouthwatering. I had a burger as my main and nearly all of our group were pleased with their meals.
I came here with my girlfriend. We had accidentally made a reservation for a different location of the same restaurant, but they accommodated us here nonetheless. The food was delicious. I had the prawns to start and my girlfriend had the boneless wings, which were juicy and delicious. We both had the rump steak (medium and medium-rare). I found the peppercorn sauce wasn’t to my taste, but my girlfriend loved it. I thought the steak was delicious without the sauce. We ordered espresso martinis which were prepared with speed and skill. I was surprised at the high quality of the drink. The table was a bit wobbly. I will be returning.
From the moment you walk into the restaurant, you can feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The ambiance is comfortable yet elegant, making it perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. The food is absolutely delicious — fresh ingredients, beautifully presented dishes, and flavors that truly stand out. What really makes this place exceptional is the outstanding service. The staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely cares about the guests’ experience. A special mention goes to the manager, Ricardo. His professionalism, leadership, and kindness make a huge difference. He ensures everything runs smoothly and always takes the time to greet guests and make them feel valued. His attention to detail and dedication to customer satisfaction truly elevate the entire dining experience. Highly recommended — I will definitely be coming back!
Boeuf & COQ was an incredible dining experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was inviting, and every detail felt thoughtfully done. Ricardo was truly the star of the night — attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made us feel welcomed and taken care of without ever being intrusive. His recommendations were spot on and elevated the entire experience. Exceptional service paired with outstanding food made this a night to remember. Highly recommend Boeuf & COQ, and if you’re lucky enough to be served by Ricardo, you’re in great hands.
I had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant yesterday and enjoyed a great overall experience. I ordered the medium ribeye, which was cooked perfectly to my liking. It had a nice char and a subtle smoky flavor, and the seasoning was spot on. The steak was juicy and tender throughout. I paired it with skinny fries topped with Parmesan, which complemented the dish really well. I also tried the half chicken. It was cooked nicely, with a crispy skin on the outside and a flavorful dressing and gravy. The side of corn on the cob was a great addition. The staff was friendly and attentive. The only minor downside was that the seating felt a bit crowded and close together, but overall it was still a very enjoyable experience.
Food was delicious, the boneless wings were 10/10 and the cocktails were also lovely. Not the cheapest mains but the sides are only around €3 each. The table we got wasn’t great, one of the chairs was under a cabinet so you couldn’t lean back without hitting your head. The staff were wonderful, really nice and attentive, they really made the evening for us.
Expensive but great food restaurant .. focused on meat,,,! Their bathrooms is downstairs and not accessible. Food was good and each dishes cost ~EU25 plus sides, drinks and appetizers. Chicken wing is brilliant with great taste! Nice place for a business dinner !!
The steak was really good! So are the small dishes you can order with the meat. The cocktails weren't great.
Loverly place and good friendly service. The steak however for me had too much seasoning and a little dry. Fabulous mash.
Our reservation was made for the wrong day but we were seated immediately by staff. Place had a nice atmosphere, very clean. We ordered onion rings, potato gratin and skinny fries as sides for our sirloin steaks (both medium rare). Steaks were lovely, although I felt they could’ve been a bit more tender. Potato gratin with garlic and Camembert was yum and so were the onion rings. The fries weren’t finished and they were alright. Bathroom was very clean and the staff are kind and let you know when something is too hot to touch.
Great food options, restaurant in a great location very central. Unfortunately once served food no staff member came near us. Eventually when staff did come to clear the plates we asked for the bill rather than get desserts or coffee due to lack of service
Ricardo is bringing a fabulous mood. A lot of laughs. You can feel the family’s atmosphere. I will for sure return here during my next stop in Dublin !
My friend and I came here for our birthday celebration and left feeling a little disappointed. The service was really wonderful and the restaurant is super cute and cozy, but we paid €54 for the Steak Tasting Plate and the portions were very small and the steak was just okay. We also got the half chicken, and it was good, but again a very small portion for €20. We got lots of sides; creamed spinach, potato gratin, mash, and beans, and they were all just okay. Most sadly, the banoffee pie was just pie crumbs, bananas, and whipped cream. We had really high hopes but felt we paid a lot for what was mediocre food. I have a picture attached below of the food we got and the portion sizes.
Would give 3.5 stars if I could. The lunch menu is very affordable. Ordered the steak-frites which was tasty (a bit salty though), and good value esp at the 15€ price point. No atmosphere really, but a pleasant enough space. The "voluntary tip" of 10% that's automatically added to the bill is a little annoying/unusual but equally the waiter was nice so we were happy to pay it. FYI: the restaurant won't split the bill (at lunchtime anyway) so be prepared for that!
Food and service was amazing. Really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was full of energy. Could not fault the food. The service was excellent, servers were friendly and joked around with us. My only issue is when the bill came it showed a total price. The total price automatically included a 10% tip. It's optional to opt out literally as you're entering your card PIN number.I found this quite uncomfortable, this my only fault with the establishment.
Had a table Booked but it was right at the back looking into the kitchen we had no room and could see into the kitchen as no door - it wasn’t great . Even though it wasn’t packed service as lackLustre - had to ask for lunch Menu they gave us full menu - we had kids and again they could only tell us kids menu no formal Kids menu and just to note there is no kids deserts they expect you To order adult desert no explanation. The servers seem not to interest had to call a few times not great service really at all . Food - half chicken peri peri ( no sauce really just plain chicken - no flavour ) just to flag you get nothing with food you have to order chips or veg etc . It was ok - not much favour . Steak was nice - good size and you pay for ur chips and sauce extra. Burger was nice Kinda steak only steak and you again pay for mash or Chips .overall it was fine - it seems cheaper than what it is really when You ads the extra like you get in other places . And they should accommodate kinks for deserts - server was very adamant no ! Wouldn’t rush back .
Had a quick lunch and was quite disappointed with the fish and chips. Even if the portion seemed abundant, the fish didn’t taste well and didn’t seem fresh at all. No flakiness. Too much spices that didn’t match the dish imo. Having paid 4,5EUR for a small coke felt like a rip-off. Service was quick. Overall would not recommend.
I ordered the Fillet Mignon, medium. It was cooked medium but the meat was tough! I ordered creamed spinach which was awful (like watery spinach) and the potato gratin which was lovely! The sides are quite small so I'd recommend ordering 3 sides alongside a steak. We didn't get starters or desserts. There are 3 desserts to choose from and one was not available. Service was fine, but not very engaging or friendly. Seems to be a big spot for groups of lads. Featherblade, Mr. S or Hawksmoor are three places that would be far more worthy of receiving your hard earned money!
xmas dinner, ordered a medium rare Ribeye and got a done 🐄. I got a new ateak almost right this time and at least I with new fries 🍟. The brocolies was so overcooked I couldn't believe it. Staff was trying and polite.
The food at this steak restaurant is absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and worth every penny. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. Staff were inattentive, slow, and seemed disorganized, which took away from the overall experience. If they can improve the service, this place could easily be a top spot.
Today, we came in for lunch. We had previously visited your other restaurant where the food and service were excellent! That location felt a bit cramped, so we were looking forward to trying out this bigger venue! The design of this restaurant is beautiful and very sophisticated, and being much larger, it is more comfortable to sit down and eat! The food was delicious and nicely presented! However, as for the staff... well, there's a lot of room for improvement. It seemed like it was physically painful for the waiter to take our order and then ask if we wanted anything else! When we called them over because we wanted to order something, it was clear that they would rather continue chatting and having coffee at the counter with their colleague, who was surely more interesting than the guests! The staff definitely needs some training!
Very annoyed / upset after the experience we had on Sunday the 7th September, I want to start off with saying ive been to this restaurant many of times and every other sister restaurant , But after how we wore treated on Sunday myself and partner are disgusted Started off good greeted very well , Orderd starters boneless wings lovely as always Calamari is usually a favourite for us but it was sooo sooo greasy this time never complained as it was a first. Went on to the mains then I orderd a ribeye Medium , it came well done with a burnt taste absolutely doused in salt and pepper in edible, i had no choice but to send it back so at this stage the 3 sides i had orderd and my pepper sauce are going cold. The next steak arrives even worse then the previous one the staff had approached me and asked how is it now i cur it infront of her and she replied oh that doesn’t look nice , it was fully well done again and way overly seasoned and extremely greasy! She offerd to send it back again , i explained to her we had came out for our anniversary and have children being minded for this date night and we needed to get back i cant wait around for a 3rd steak my parters meal was already finished she stood there over us then while he ate and made us feel really uncomfortable then said ok i will take off a side or two off the bill even though my whole steak and 3 sides hadnt been touched and 2 pepper sauces as i had to order a second because the first had gone cold , At this point we wore absolutely fuming what was meant to be a special day ruined not one apology did we receive we wanted to have dinner together not separate, i refused to pay for steak after sending it back to the kitchen and full 3 sides as it was not my mistake . I will not return staff turned rude to us not an apology and made us feel really really uncomfortable then the chef came out and was also looking at us im so disappointed we always loved this restaurant here and the millstone wouldve been our favourites for steak , but the service and treatment after was appalling and still €72 down
The place is called steakhouse and bar, we have only an hour and when we was taps they were have 45 minutes there we agreed. We weren’t told that we can not order inly drinks and we have ordered and then 15 minutes passed the very rood women came to us and we were told they is not possible to stay there for us anymore because we have ordered food. We had only 45 minutes and we weren’t told that we can’t order only drinks. The stuff is very unfriendly and our evening was ruined. Don’t go to this place - we shouldn’t support such behaviour and attitude.
Order: 17oz Boeuf Tasting Plate (ordered medium), sides (onion rings, thick chips, broccoli & camembert gratin), 2 × Peras Merlot. Bill: €92.07 incl. voluntary service. This was one of the worst steak experiences I’ve had anywhere. Despite ordering medium, the meat was tough and chewy—so much so that we sent some of it back. Everything was over-seasoned and far too salty, sides included, which made the whole meal a waste of money. Front-of-house were lovely and genuinely tried to help, but the core issues are produce quality and execution in the kitchen. At this price point, the beef should be well-sourced and cooked with care—not saline and hard to eat. I hope management urgently reviews sourcing and cooking standards. As it stands, I can’t recommend and won’t be returning. PS. The 'voluntary' 10% tip is pre-calculated and rolled into the total, which can feel pushy/misleading—especially when the meal was poor. You'd have to embarrass yourself and ask for it to be removed. However, as I said the wait staff were nice.
Putting your hand in your pocket while talking to your customer doesnt looks professional at all. Taking 10% service charge by “force” but getting this kind of services is really unacceptable. I am not sure is this his name but the guy in black talking rudely while we are trying to pay. Kthanksbye. He rushed to take my payment and ran outside to chat with his friend. (?) friend is much more important? Btw, no one asked us are we getting a sparkling or still but it seems like a racist treatment to us. Maybe train him to be a better waiter.
Booked a table for 2 from Open Table. Once the booking is confirmed you can click on “add to your calendar” and it will show a 2 hour reservation block. After eating the mains we ask for dessert menu and the short waiter with short dark hair, glasses and nose piercing says we can’t look at the dessert menu because we have to leave. 🤣? We ask for clarification since Open Table calendar shows 2 hour slot and she says that we only have 10 minutes and then we have to leave, and that even if she gives us the menu we can’t eat. This was after 1 hour and 20 minutes. We told her there must have been a mistake in the system and that whatever the issue is, there is no need to be rude and this issues can be noted for the next times. She proceeds to say that she has been working there 2 years and she knows better how things work than us. (Which is not the point as we are not supposed to know better than her, we are only supposed to be informed and receive professional service). She also added that she did not care if in our calendar it appeared as two hours slot as in her system it shows differently which is quite an unprofessional response since it’s in the restaurant best interest to avoid misunderstandings and adjust open table website settings if necessary. She rudely adds that we arrived “10 minutes late” and it is our fault we cannot eat the dessert. Their policy allows for 15 minutes grace period which shows once more how entitled and irrelevant her replies are. In all other restaurants, competent waiters let you know beforehand if the table is taken and you can’t stay more, OR they ask if you would like to order the dessert ahead of time to give you the opportunity to eat more (and earn more for the restaurant). We end up not getting a dessert as we feel rushed but we decided to stay at the table until the next person that was supposed to take our table show up. Nobody ever showed up for the following hour. Not for our table and also not for the other 3 tables behind us that stayed empty. Basically this woman was extremely rude for no reason as many tables after our reservation stayed empty. Some of the staff needs to learn some manners. Avoid and get a better experience elsewhere.
Not recommend. Came with a large group of friends. We were told we should order mains as a rule (even if no hungry, no way to order drink only). Orders for food taken an block, no way to order anything in your own time. Ridiculous. Usually the restaurant staff should facilitate the customer not other way around. Staff obviously was following orders, so not their fault, but still, nonsense. I will not recommend that place to anyone.
