Bruno's is that type of place that you want visit to relax and have some superb food. A little pricey but well worth it. A great comfort food. I would never rate something with a five star ranking if the service was just as good as the food. For me it is about the whole experience and this place dishes it out. The picture I shared is my favorite dish, Panzotti Veneziana. It is giant raviolis in a yummy cream sauce that tickles my taste buds. Topped with the bacon!
I brought a group of 27 on a weekday (called in advance) and it could not have been better! Fernando was very helpful in setting up the reservations for our group, Brandon (our server) was very friendly and did a great job keeping everything organized. The food was fabulous. We pre ordered the Lasagna, Chicken fettuccini alfredo, Sun dried tomato pesto rigatoni - and do NOT forget to order the bread! I am looking forward to coming back again.
I’ve been here three or four times. The food is very good. I try to order something different each time I go and have not been disappointed. The wait staff are all very professional and cordial. This is definitely one of my favorite places to go when I want a quality meal in Livermore. I’ve got it saved to my favorites in Google maps.
While I traveled to Livermore at 2019, Bruno’s was the first restaurant where my boyfriend and I spent time and had dinner. Their pizza and pasta are very delicious, and the taste of their bread was so good that I remember that 👍🏽😋 And we were just got married in this January, looking for a place enjoy the food and celebrate, there’s no outdoor dining at the moment, so we’re ordered takeout celebrated at home. My husband asked for the bread on ordering phone call notice that we love it, then he brought back lots of extra bread 🍞 😆 I ate them all, no kidding ~ A week ago outdoor dining reopening, we were walking around on first street, we naturally stopped in front of Bruno’s and both had our new favor dish salad “Baby Mixed Greens”, and Pepperoni Pizza, enjoy a wonderful meal and afternoon. Of course, be aware of and stay safe from COVID. Their service is very friendly and nice, the foods are delicious, and we’re worried a bit about their business since Covid-19, we hope everything will getting better soon. Recommended! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
HUGE THANK YOU TO FERNANDO! THE BEST HOST/WAITER IN THE RESTAURANT! I WILL BE COMING BACK AND ASKING ONLY FOR FERNANDO!
Such a fun place! Food is delicious. Thoughtfully prepared, fresh, and flavourful. Service was attentive timely and pleasant. We truly felt welcome. The brick walls, high ceiling, and chandeliers made a great setting. Plenty of vegetarian choices. A great night out. We enjoyed the good food so much we forgot to take photos! Perfect excuse to return!
My favorite hometown Italian restaurant, informal but quaint!
The food was some of the best Italian I’ve ever had. Drinks were delicious. Staff were so kind and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back! Trim the tortellini and the blackberry chicken. Out of this world!!!
Good food. Good service. Happy Hour!!!
We came here after a bad experience around the corner at NY Pizza. The staff at Bruno's were so welcoming and the food was great, quick service and we got a nice bottle of wine all for a reasonable price. Would recommend and hope to visit again.
Very good food. Friendly, very good service. Live music, 1 guy playing brass and rock tunes "disguised" in jazz. A favorite place.
Speaking of the food, I really liked it! I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo pasta 🍝🤌🏻with shrimp🍤🦪🥟 oysters and clams, it was a mix... I had average expectations, but I must say they exceeded them; it was delicious. My boyfriend ordered Chicken Parmigiana, 🍝and he said that his dish wasn't very good, the portion was too small, and it didn't have much flavor... nothing special at all... compared to the other dish. 🥘🍛 The service is very good and the atmosphere is excellent.🤗🤌🏻👍🏻🍷🍾
Wonderful spot to enjoy great food and great service while dining outside under shade trees and awnings. Sonoma salad was top notch. Server brings delicious cheesy bread. Excellent coffee. Outstanding service. Can be a bit noisy from passing motorcycles and classic cars.
Friendly staff, great service, large menu, and quality ingredients. Pleasant atmosphere. Our first visit definitely won't be our last! Thank you Fabricio!

Lovely Italian place that is cozy and nice! Great food and semi-fast service! Italian food takes time to prep and eat so I get it :)
Can't say how much me and my family love this place. Tried it for the first time a few months ago on a date night and instantly new we were coming back for valentines day which is also my mom's birthday. Both times the food was incredible and the service was great. I have a 5 year old non verbal autistic son, who form of communication is hand leading but the waitress was very kind and understanding assuring that she has her own kids and its just a kid being a kid so she doesn't mind. Absolutely recommend.
Our experience was one of the best I have had in I restaurant in a long time. My mom and I are both very high maintenance diners and Kade was extremely pleasant and helpful throughout. The food was terrific and priced very reasonably. The only drawback was parking. Due to the farmers market happening Sunday Morning our 1 pm reservation was impacted by a lack of parking and a long walk. I was however able to drop my elderly mother off in front and then park further away. Definitely would return, but will probably schedule later in the day, or another day.
Stopped here for a light lunch, split a pasta and got 2 side salads for my husband and I. Staff was friendly, atmosphere was quiet and calm. Happy to support a Livermore staple restaurant.
It’s Valentine's night; the restaurant was slammed, and the entire team did an amazing job! I would like to give a special shout-out to our server, Melissa. She was fantastic!
This is the best restaurant I've been to in Livermore, excellent service, wonderful atmosphere but the food was absolutely perfect and excellent flavour!
Very impressed with the service, food and ambiance. We walked in on Valentines Days and got a table, without a wait. Highly recommend Bruno’s for Italian!

The food here is really creative and beautifully presented. Our server was exceptional. The decor is rather tired and dated. The feel is rather retro.
A went on mother's Day a little bit late was still able to get seated in a relatively reasonable time. The plate I ordered was not available due to the high volume of people I assume then the second plate I ordered was also not available so I settled for traditional spaghetti with meat sauce and a couple of meatballs and it was delicious and on the house! Thank you for that Bruno!
Cool place, very nice customer service. The staff were all great. We had the Bruno Specialty Pizza which was good but it's too much dough for my liking. For the dessert the cheesecake.. I wouldn't recommend it. Sitting inside is a bit too loud for me since we sat right across from the kitchen. Overall - decent Pizza and good service. I'll try a pasta dish and sit outside next time.
Food was good, server was good, atmosphere was good . Would go back for sure. Ordered lasagna. A bit costly for my taste.
This place has great Italian food and pasta, and I love the vibe it’s refreshing and makes for a great time. Whenever I visit California, I love going to Livermore. The vibe there is so cool and pleasant, and the people are always smiling. On weekends, people bring out vintage cars, which I absolutely love. I tried pasta there, and the food was great, but more than the food, I loved the ambiance outside. That entire lane is amazing I just love enjoying the view while having my food.
Service was excellent. Waiters were very professional and friendly. Beers on tap were great. Pastas were good. Veg pizza was average. Thick and heavy. Bread was great. They make any pasta or pizza kids size.
Overall the food was good. My pasta dish with the saphron sauce had great flavor and the sun dried tomatoes were very good. However, the chicken was tough and not very flavorful and the tiny shrimp were very basic and kind of boring. Service was very good. Wife and I weren't fans of the bread they provide. Seemed dry.
My review is for the new happy hour they offer. Bruno's is not typically the place one would have thought to go to for a light meal but walking by we saw the banner and decided to try. Ordered a couple cocktails and some shareables. I got the Cali chicken flatbread and Parmesan truffle fries. The flatbread was loaded with toppings (always a plus) and the fries were legit fries. Think fair food, funnel cake-esque crisp on the outside but still soft potato on the inside. My only complaint re: the dish is not enough truffle, but the fries themselves were perfect. The servers were nice too.
Quaint little restaurant. Food was ok. The inside of the restaurant needs a little TLC. One thing I did notice is that the menus they gave us were absolutely disgusting to the point that I didn’t even want to touch it.
Manhattan was delish 😁 the calamari was fresh and crispy, i truly loooooove the bread 💕 at the beginning I really thought it was corn bread but NO! some garlic bread goodness 😋 it was to died for! YUUUUUUMMMMM! we had a great afternoon Can't recalled the name of the waitress however she was very sweet and attentive! weather was excellent not too hot or too cold, just perfect! You guys need to try this place out!
Cozy little Italian place to grab lunch with friends or family. Has that downtown vibe. Food is good but portions are really tiny. Pizza tasted okay, pasta was delicious. Overall I would recommend the place for a nice Italian meal.

Excellent customer service, 🎩 down. The bread is free lol! Note: Brandon has a very nice smile.
This was our first time here. We got mozerella sticks as an appetizer, nothing special and pricey. For dinner we got the short ribs with orzo rice which was amazing! and chicken Alfredo. Service was okay, the server didnt check on us for water or food quality till almost half done. We would go back to try the pizza, as most people were eating it.

Nothing great about this place. It’s ok… like their crab cakes. They had no flavor and these were served with some Supermarket thousand islands. Wouldn’t recommend these crab cakes. The jambalaya was ok. They did not have any non-alcoholic drinks, expect sodas. Will not go back to this Bruno’s.
Tried to order the sausage sandwich from the dinner menu and was told they quit serving that at 3pm... then take it off the dinner menu. Ordered the Veal and my friend ordered the fish of the day Salmon. We also ordered the garlic cheese bread and the calamari. It took forever and when it finally arrived, the Cheese bread was barely a meh and calamari was overcooked and chewy. Not a good start... Veal and Salmon came and although good, the veal was a small portion of two very small thin slices with green beans and potato. At $30 it was overpriced for what I got. The ladies Salmon was fresh and cooked nicely. Meal was fine but tried to order the apple torte when asked about desert and was told they were out. If everything one person ordered was a no, you can understand the frustration so three stars for total but service was slightly better at 4 stars.

We were a party of 8. For the most part everything was fine. However, my mom ordered vegan pasta with spinach and mushrooms and added grilled chicken breast, no salt added. Instead, she brought Angel hair with tomatoes and sun-dried tomatoes and Cajun chicken finger that was spicy and over salted. No reason to go there again. The waitress put in the wrong order, didn’t apologize or take the wrong order off the bill.

Writing an update….not a good one. Tried dining in and it was 3:00 and they had a special menu. We were the ONLY people there and asked if we could order a cheese pizza due to an allergy issue(no pizza in special menu). We know that food item is the only safe one for him at Bruno’s. The waitress was exceptional and tried to work with the allergy. She was yelled at and ridiculed and put down by the manager to the point she cried and he kept going. Over and over. Then proceeded later to tell everyone probably ten times in a row NO PIZZA, NO PIZZA, etc. like a child….a man who can treat women that way, will not get business long. This is Livermore and not SF or LA fine dining. It’s a close knit town and everyone knows each other! You are going to lose so much business for being so hateful to women. Sorry we gave another chance. He’s mean and unhappy. Probably needs to choose another line of work. I love the waitstaff. I enjoy the food. However, I doordashed a pizza and was surprised to see it wasn’t sealed by a sticker or anything and so I called to ask if they just didn’t do that or if it was a mistake being that every other pizza in town is sealed when we dash. The manager that I spoke to was smug and rude and acted bothered by my question. Shame. We won’t go back after enjoying this place for ten years.
The ambiance was amazing with to canal view, dimmed lights with candle lights. They have some wine and other drinks in the menu. Their homemade pesto was good. The bread was fine and soft, can be toasted to enhance the flavor with some butter I guess. The food for vegetarians was limited so the pasta I tried was just mediocre but adding some housemade pesto made it better. The lobster ravioli was just fine as well. The flavors could be better. We had a swap of waiters for a bit, but that was due to some music issue I guess. The other waiter kinda showed the bias by not apologizing about the inconvenience to us which was fine until he went ahead to others except us. Oh well. I would recommend for the ambiance but chef can improve the flavors a bit.

The food here is terrible for much it costs. The bread they give you is bland. The calamari is seasoned but rubbery. The meatballs and spaghetti were ghastly. The meatballs had the texture of a bad sloppy joe. The fudge cake is extremely dry. I do not recommend this place.
Pay close attention to your money. The owner and his son steel from their own customers. this happened to me twice. The first time I stopped in to get a dinner order to go. The owner himself hands me the lunch menu on purpose then when it’s time to pay the bill, I was charged the dinner price. I questioned it and he admitted he had given me the lunch menu. ( I was being manipulated) I paid with a credit card, but did not zero out the tip on the receipt so the owner helped himself to an $8.00 tip without my authorization. I was furious When I found out and I flew back down there and got my money back. The second time it happened I picked up two orders to go and paid cash with $100 bill. The son of the owner did not count the change back and purposely kept 10 bucks. I counted it when I left and I flew back in there and confronted him. He was so guilty. He said “Oh, I don’t know what I was thinking”. Who says that when they make an honest mistake? I called the owner and confronted him about the $10 and he is the one that told me that was his son. I can’t even believe these jerks steel from their own customers the very people that keep their doors open. I have not returned since then. Whenever I drive by or walk by and I see people dining outside I say.” watch your bill the owner likes to steel from his customers. So unbelievable, that the owner and his son steel intentionally steal from their own customers. Karma will get them if it hasn’t already. Again, if you eat here, watch your money!!
