Best boba in town! Must try popcorn chicken sooo goos
"In my quest for a boba fix, I discovered Boba X at the corner of Amador Valley & Village Parkway—it's unmissable! Anime enthusiasts, especially One Piece fans, will feel at home here with the decor featuring wanted posters and figurines. The service is excellent. I enjoyed my usual taro milk tea with boba, but the mango snow lychee with ice cream was a delightful treat! And, let's not overlook the delicious popcorn chicken. Definitely a win all around!"
This is our go to spot when it comes to getting boba. One of our favorite places to get some snacks! I never knew that they give out punch cards now so don’t forget to get yours! Our go to snacks are their signature popcorn chicken, fried octopus. They have new snacks - chicken nuggets and churros. We’ve tried the churro and it’s pretty good
on the better side of average boba drinks. the interior is spacious and mainly one piece themed. good place to hang out with friends (plus if they appreciate the series)
We like the signature milk tea very much. 7 to 9 pm you get 20% discount. Happy hours
Best chicken. We usually get taro milk tea, fruit tea, and kids like snow drink. I'm craving their chicken now, that's why I'm on here... Update 12-20-22: okay can we just address the elephant in the room? How good is Boba X's chicken. It is "burn your mouth cause you can't wait good". That perfect seasoning and crunch. And the portion size, I mean come on. There ain't a chef there in the back, it's a magician. Don't get me started on those sauces. Get this perfect dish outa here.
Quite authentic. Both drinks and snacks. Chicken was crispy, flavorful, and most importantly, well seasoned. Boba was chewy (in a good way), and perfectly sweetened.
Good speed. Good tea and clean. Great popcorn chicken. Change name on 8/8/21. Still great taste. Menu changes and new name BOBA X. Congrats!
Nice location. Great flavor boba and prices were fair.
The tandoori chicken here is absolutely awesome! Bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked, it truly stands out. Just like other Shalimar locations, this one maintains its reputation for serving some of the best Pakistani food around. The spices and authentic taste are unmatched, making every bite a delightful experience. Whether it’s the tenderness of the chicken or the perfectly balanced seasoning, it’s clear that quality and flavor are top priorities here. This spot is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious and authentic Pakistani cuisine. I’ll definitely be coming back for more of their amazing dishes. Highly recommended!
The kababs here are a must-try. I usually go for chicken, but I decided to try the lamb chops, and they were fantastic. The portions are generous, unlike other places. My favorites have always been the Chicken Kabab and Tandoori Leg, and now the Lamb Chops have joined that list too.
A bit busy location still quite fast service, really good food again.
Fantastic boba shop. The owner and staff are super approachable and friendly. I haven't had a chance to try their food out yet, but their drinks are delicious and hands down the best in the area by far. The price is a bit steep per drink, but the drinks are well worth it. They also have fun little chance based games to play at checkout that award you with discounts to offset the price. There's also the usual stamp card that you can get free drinks with. Just go there!
I come here way to often. The building is big, they have board games to play, and a fun little Stitch chomp game to play for discounted tea. Their happy hour is an excellent time to come and try different teas because they are considerably cheaper. I recommend the passion fruit and grapefruit tea with lychee jelly!
Clean area, friendly staff, delicious food. I’ve been coming here for a 6 months, and this place has never disappointed me. Would recommend to anyone who loves boba.
Amazing place. The best boba in Dublin. The owner and staff are so friendly. Highly recommend!!!
Good bubble tea. Good to bring kids as well, they have miniature version of bowling and pinball. You can spend good time here with friends playing board games. They have happy hours prices for ice blende and cream tea after 6:30 pm
My favorite place to grab a snacks and boba! I’ve only had awesome experiences here, and everyone who works here is so nice! You can’t go wrong with anything fried from the menu!
They have so many different tea options. I always get the mango passion fruit tea. You can choose the sweetness and amount of ice. They also have a rewards card that gets stamped every time you buy tea. When you order, they have a game where you press down any tooth from this plastic creature, and if the mouth closes, you get the prize. The order comes fast once you place it. I recommend this place to anyone looking for good tea.
Cute place. Have some tables to sit comfortably and hang out. plenty of parking. Love the one piece decorations. Mango snow with lychee was pretty sweet even at 50%.
Omg I can't even explain. It is the best place ever. There's also amazing workers there. There's this specific girl. She always puts a smile on me. She also makes the best drinks. I love this place so much. And think this worker should get many tips. I'm even on my way right now! :)
The Boba Milk Tea and the Fruit tea both are good. The curly fires were crisp from outside and very soft inside, my children loved them.
Great service. Great drinks. Love the atmosphere and design. The cups are nice and I believe, reusable too which is super cool! 10/10 would definitely recommend. Lovely staff as well.
This is a cute spot for lunch and drink items. Very tasty and good quality with a variety of different choices for both food and drinks. *****Excellent calamari and fried octopus!!!
Happy hour is my favorite time to go. Good discounts on drinks and food items. Staff is very cool and friendly. Also clean restroom and cool Marvel display inside.
Love their matcha tea and their calamari. Been a while and love their display. Onepiece!!! Considerably open late in the area.
Got the mango snow really good I highly recommend. Would probably get 50% next time for those who dont want too sweet but was really good. Atmosphere is nice.
This was the second time that I've eaten at Shalimar. Excellent Pakistani food. The freshly made bread are the best I've ever tasted. I enjoyed the chicken and beef dishes that I had for lunch so much that I bought another meal home for my family.
7+ years of going at Shalimar Dublin. We eat same food every other weekend. Nihari, chicken biryani, tangdi (roasted chicken leg), chicken and beef seekh kabab. The Naans are the specialty as they are the softest out of the three Shalimar (other locations being at Fremont and San Francisco). Wonderful food. No complaints.
This brand “Sharetea” and particularly this location is very consistent in tea quality, good customer experience and fairly priced milk tea drinks. My favorite is Honey Milk Tea or Honey Oolng Tea. Super refreshing for hot weather. I wouldn’t recommend their food because it is overpriced snacks. And what’s cool about this location is they have a huge collection of Avengers on their walls!
ShareTea became Boba X . Decided to visit with a friend to see what’s changed. I guess going with One Piece theme is an easy thing to do, but what’s more important is the taste. Contemplated about signature milk tea, but decided to get classic brew tea (black tea) with fresh milk. My friend was curious about “XYZ Milk Tea,” turns out it has 6 toppings! Half of the drink was filled with pearls, mini pearls, lychee jelly, grass jelly, pudding and red bean. It’s basically a mini meal lol. My classic brew tea with fresh milk was okay. It wasn’t bad, but it did not stand out either. Think my friend liked the XYZ Milk Tea. I don’t think it really has changed much from ShareTea. 3.5 stars rounding up to 4. Wouldn’t mind having drinks here, but there are better options.
Good place . I like it . Very clean . Friendly service . Perfect interior . Mango snow is so tasty . 👍🏻
They got a good selection. Boba is soft and yummy. Fast service :)
Good selection and I went with the guava summer
A very nice place in the corner of a small shopping mall, good place for boba or other soft drinks
Passion fruit with lychee jelly and mango snow with lychee jelly was so satisfying.
For food review you can read my review for the Fremont branch. I had no idea that Shalimar has a new branch here in Dublin but I'm always glad when my favorite restaurants are doing well. They closed down a couple of branches so I'm glad they opened one here even though it's kinda far for me. It's a standalone building with its own parking spots and instead of giving you a stand with a number all the seating areas are labeled with numbers. The restaurant is not small but probably best suited for party less than 6. The chicken is still phenomenal and everything tastes the same as the one in Fremont which basically means wonderfully delicious. Just order the chicken legs if this is your first time. Otherwise you'll know what to order.
9/20/25 Saturday lamb brain masala was delicious. Will come back again n try more menu items in next visit.
This is a good spot for South Asian food in the area. The portions are very generous and the taste is 7/10 (prefer Pakwan or Zareens). I would recommend either the beef nehari or the chicken karahi with some naan (I'd give the naan 8/10). They also offer free chai which is great. Do not come here if you're looking for a great atmosphere or service. It's largely a hole in the wall, self-service type of restaurant. On a positive note, the wait is non-existent to be seated and food comes out fast.
For my friend who needs to get some non veg tandoori briyani we went to Shalimar restaurant which is excellent for non-veg lovers, naan and chicken 🍗🐔🍗 fry. Romali naan roti 🍛 curry briyani both meat 🍗🐔 and 🐐🐐 unlimited tea is here avaliable for customer. Soft drinks rose milk lassi 😍😋 lassi with different flavours. I recommend it
Place is decent. Not a large variety of food options especially if you traveling from far to come there. Would recommend other restaurants with better variety and good taste of food. There prices are ok given the place. However, they can do better than this given the customer loyalty and rush all the time at the restaurant.
They have daily specials which I recommend if you're tight on budget but still feeling the urge to run to your nearest boba shop. Parking here is tough (tight spots, not very many spots), but I've always found a spot every time I go to that plaza. The inside is spacious and clean, the employees are pleasant, and I've had good experiences so far.
This place is way bigger than the San Ramon Sharetea. The interior is so cute with big windows and homey decorations. They just had a soft opening, and the employees/customer service are very good and know their knowledge (still a beginner boba drinker!). The drinks are great! They gave a large selection of drinks and I love the fact that you can adjust ice level and sweetness. It can get pretty crowded after school hours in the afternokn because it is right next to Dublin High. Looking forward to the grand opening!
Tapioca was very good, halfway between Coco and Onezo in terms of quality. The tea itself was a bit watery, but it was incredibly cheap, a large milk tea with tapioca for only $3.28 with tax during their "happy hours" (after 6:30 PM). Well worth the price.
Walking into the location, it's usually clean and nicely decorated with a unified theme of one piece. However, despite the 100+ degree weather outside, they didn't have the AC on, making it quite uncomfortable to sit inside for long. The Mango Snow is amazing – a refreshing icy/creamy drink with a strong mango flavor. Warning: The Matcha Drink, however, is disappointing; it was so bad that another customer threw theirs away and told their partner it was horrible
Many drinks to choose from, but few without caffeine. Lots with dairy milk, upcharge for oat or almond milk. Unless you really want a LOT of sugar, don't order anything over 50% sweetness! Employee was patient & answered questions, seeking help from another employee when they didn't know the answers, we appreciated her efforts. Interesting decor in cabinets & along top of kitchen area. Drinks were made quickly.
Good boba shop, would go again. It had lots of standard drink options, good environment/seating, and was reasonably priced. I had the matcha latte (on the bitter side) and the guava tea (amazing flavor). Also loved the food options! Got to have a delicious snack not just the drinks, which was great (10/10 on the waffle fries)
Great pakstani/Indian food but damn they need to clean and beryani used to be good not anymore also the guy on counter always gets on my nerves every single time always on the phone and no costumer service at all and unfortunately this is all indian and Pakistani restaurants
Total Score: 5.975 Ambiance: 4.25/5 Loveee the decked out anime. Lots to look at. Butttt the paint on the walls are a bit ugly Food: 2.5/5 Toooo sweet 😖😖😖. Was getting dehydrated drinking this. Wow: 0/1 Normal boba restaurant Total Score = 3.5*AM + 6*FOOD + 0.5*WOW
First timer here. Friendly staff. I was craving chicken so ordered popcorn chicken and a boba drink. Both different than I'm used to. (I-Tea drinker here) The chicken looks so good, crispy just right, but somehow the chicken is dried out, stringy, and too chewy for my taste, sadly. The Hokkaido tea is ok, not sweet for not being able to adjust it, but not terrible either. Boba perfectly cooked, tho I did show up a little after they opened. I look forward to trying other tea drinks, but I'll leave the chicken be, next time.
Quite an average boba place. The signature milk tea is just like any other boba place, and the matcha milk tea was extremely powdery. I think their food is better than their drinks.
Average boba tea at reasonable price.
One of the best kebab and tandoori I've had in a very long time. We also ordered some gravy that weren't very tasty compared to their tandoori appetizers. Even portion size of their entrees are very small compare to their price. I was very surprised by their size of naan and kulcha. They were extremely large portions for about $2. I would prefer to get take away next time than dining.
This is only a review on the one drink I tried….coffee milk tea, no boba. It’s not good. Don’t get it. Weirdly thick. A little bitter. They make it from powder….which I should have known to not order. Their tea is probably better….?
Not a lot of parking. Fair prices on the drinks. I asked for 30% sweet but it tasted like 75%~100% sweetness if compared to other shareteas I've been to. However, the service was good. They have good happy hour, 6pm to close.
Loved how local the worker was to each customer. It seemed like a regular customer go to spot but there was no AC on a 105 degree weather. It felt very baked inside and if was hard for anyone to sit or stay there long. Idk if it’s their method of avoiding lotters from staying long period of time but not having any AC was brutal for not just the customers but the workers too who has a uniform mandatory. The very last time I was here (which was years ago) had ac open on hot days and allowed customers to sit there comfortably. It seems as tho they just want this shop to be a take out environment or “drive thru - pick up only” type of restaurant Only ordered a drink here. Their coffee milk tea was pretty solid tho. I’ve visited it awhile back when it wasn’t called Boba X but something else.
I was very disappointed with my visit. The restaurant had poor hygiene — tables and chairs were dirty and didn’t feel clean enough to sit on comfortably. For a restaurant, cleanliness should be a top priority, but it clearly wasn’t here. The food was below average and didn’t meet expectations. The Chicken Tikka Masala tasted more like Chicken Qorma, and the Biryani lacked the authentic flavor and aroma you’d expect. The Brain Masala was just average at best. Considering the high prices, the experience was not worth the cost. When you’re paying that much, you expect at least decent hygiene and authentic-tasting dishes. Unfortunately, this restaurant failed on both fronts
It was fast service, but the drinks were absolutely disgusting. My mom, my sister, and I all got drinks. They were all nasty, the inside was decorated nicely; but I do not recommend coming here.
Did not like a food - tikka was so raw like they clean it with water . Kabab has no taste and naan was not close to Tandoori Rooti. On the top the attitude was not at good - no happy welcoming smile. They need to invest and make place nice so people can enjoy seating . No salad just onion and those are also very strong .
Watered down drinks . I got the matcha latte and the mango milk tea . If you take no ice as an option they just add cold water vs. adjusting the proportions . Really disappointed
Unfortunately the drinks here aren't great. The black milk tea from Gong Cha is better. Right across the street is Teazentea which has a better quality Thai Iced Tea. This store also has a long line to order and a lengthy wait time for drinks. They don't have an app like Feng Cha.
Came here for lunch on weekday. Ordered 2 chicken tikka masala portions. The portions were ridiculously small, only 4 very very small chicken pieces for $15.99 a portion. Of course Naans always are extra.....simply rip off. The ambiance and cleaniess was mediocre, but that was expected from a hole in the wall and location.
The food we ordered had a strong gas-like smell and taste, completely inedible and honestly alarming. When we brought our concerns to the owner, instead of taking it seriously, he was extremely rude and dismissive. No apology, no accountability, just attitude. This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere that actually cares about the safety and satisfaction of their customers.
They do not enforce hair nets for employees that work in the kitchen, food is decent, found like 4 pieces of hair and before anyone tries to say its masala I know what hair looks like.
Man once again another Indian place, this time on a hot day there air conditioner is not working, so many people can’t even eat food in peace. People here are sweating and having a hard time eating food right now. I asked for ice, they said we don’t have no ice. How are this Indian restaurant working and serving people. Also this place tables, floor, has a dirty look. I think this is going to be my last time here. Don’t recommend people coming here. If the place was good I would have referred it but this one is a no no!
Horrible business would never buy again. Worst experience ever. My 7 kids and wives were devastated. If you want real boba go to teavoli
Last time I came here it was alright just wished could be more boba
Will never come back here. The drink I ordered was watered down. When I was about to order, the cashier immediately took the phone order without telling them to hold or say something when I was about to tell them my order. So I ordered a few drinks and I ordered the Matcha Creama. And when the drink finished sealing? The cashier, who was part white, decides to shake the drink while wiping it down. Not all people likes there cream mixed into the tea before getting their number called. Boba wasn’t sweet. It was very chewy. I also their strawberry ice drink with ice cream. It was really sour and the sweetness was at default. Never going back ever again.
I had a very bad experience at Shalimar Restaurant in Dublin. The place was extremely dirty, especially the bathrooms and the dining areas where people sit and eat. Cleanliness is very important in a restaurant, and this was unacceptable. The owner was also very unprofessional. I really hope the health department inspects this place because it did not feel safe or sanitary at all. I will not be coming back.
Ordered chicken haleem, tandoori chicken and chicken kabab. Expecting to have same taste but it was a worst order. Never again going to this place. Chicken haleem is a joke it's just lentil soup no flavor no taste. Tandoori chicken was smelling. Kabab had no flavor. Had to trash everything. very disappointed.
