We stopped in after the air show with a group of 9. We were able to sit down right away and the service was amazing. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was amazing especially the BBQ bacon burger.

I was up north for vacation with a friend, and we had several burger places to pick from. Decided on this one and don’t regret it! Taste was great and the price? Although it wasn’t cheap per se, wasn’t really higher than most places nowadays, the portion size is easily enough for two meals making it well worth it in my opinion. I also have never received so many fries with a single burger in my life!

We were visiting Duluth, and we found this place on Google Maps and decided to give it a try. We were glad we did. We had a great tasting hamburger and fries. The service was awesome. When we were sitting in the dining area, we could hear something being put into their fryer...I'm assuming it was their french fries, and that sound made me a little hungry as we were waiting a few minutes for our food. This is a great place, and I would visit here again if I'm in the area.

Awesome little place! Not fancy, just good food done right. I had a Denver omelet. I'm weird, I prefer the peppers and onions WELL done. Most places don't get it right at all. They NAILED IT at Big Daddys. Hash browns were good & a humongous portion. It was off the beaten path, but worth the trip. I'd go back again.

What a wonderful little place! Servers Kayla and Erin were super friendly, and the cooks were great, too! The Mega (four) cheese burger was really good and hot, with plenty of grilled onions and an absolute mountain of fresh cut fries. The servers said they'll prepare it exactly as the way you want so in a future visit I'll ask for medium-rare. And I'll certainly be back, but maybe next time for breakfast!

My girlfriend and I had a great experience here. Not only did we have amazing customer service but the food was amazing. I could ‘t resist the burger challenge: “The Belly Buster” I had to see if I could dominate this beast. and I definitely did, my picture is now featured in their “Wall of Fame.” If you guys want a delicious burger with amazing customer service then this is one not to miss. Big Daddy's Burgers is a great spot! The cheeseburger and mushroom and Swiss we had were both delectable. Some of the fries seemed overcooked or even a little burnt, but we appreciate how extremely plentiful they are! I like that the wait staff are attentive to what's going on but don't hover and question you 😄.

The portions are always so big, we had pancakes, biscuits with gravy and hashbrowns. My hubby said the pancakes were perfect. I only ate about half the hashbrowns and biscuits but as always everything was great.

Big Daddy's Burgers does burgers so right!!! This is not a fancy place, it's a bit of a hole-in-the-wall kind of place but go for the burgers!! My daughter had a wrap and I had a burger. Both excellent with a pile of homemade fries. Seriously delish. They accommodated my special request (keto) no problem. The waiter couldn't have been nicer too.

The perfect all-American burger joint in an unassuming strip mall. We were too early for burgers, but we chowed down on the Veggie Omlet, Ham and Cheese Omlet, pancakes and Blueberry Fritter Toast. The portions are big and everything was delicious! The pancakes were the best we've ever had and the Veggie Omlet was out of this world with grilled onions, peppers and mushrooms. Strawberry milkshake was three servings and it was amazing! This is a small place so you may have to wait for a seat, but it's worth it. We can't wait to come back and try the burgers! Service was excellent, 5-star, so leave a great tip when you go. Excellent menu choices with senior and kiddie selections.

The service was incredible, the waitress offered my girlfriend a separate chair for her purse to make room on the table and keep it off the floor. The food was incredible. I could taste how fresh the patties were,that they weren't frozen and wete hand pressed to order. For portions, think similar to five guys, at least for the fries. The burgers are all pretty good sized. My main shicn was how small of a place it is. I read about it online snd didnt see pictures of the establishment, so I assumed it was like a bar-ish setting. It's more like an old diner. Very friendly and welcoming when you walk in. I will be going back, and I live 2 hours away.

The cheesy potato bacon soup was delicious! The fresh fries are so good and enough for 2 or 3 to share. They have many choices of burgers. We had the cream cheese green olive burger and jalapeno burger. Very good. They have other things, like hot turkey, meatloaf, and pot roast also. The waitress was so friendly and welcoming. This is my one stop I try to always make when I'm in Duluth if I'm in time for breakfast. If you haven't had the Big Daddy's Special Omelette you are missing out. The wait staff is great too. Always friendly. I especially like when I see Big Daddy there making breakfast, but if he's not there it is still an excellent choice to stop and eat there. The other food is great too but breakfast is my choice go to food.

This is one of the best burger places I've eaten at recently! It was my first time eating at this restaurant and i loved it! The service was fantastic. The waitress was always checking on us and seeing if we needed anything. The food came our fairly fast (it did not seem too busy), and it was all hot and fresh. I had the chili smothered burger and a berry lemon shake, and it was all delicious! They had a decent number of selections that made it difficult. The prices are a little higher than other places, but i feel it was worth it.

My favorite patty melt ever! I came with mushrooms onions and bacon with American and Swiss cheese. Cooked perfection 2/3 lb with over pound of fries so I took half and ate it later. Soooo good!

I only go here once in a awhile but every time does not disappoint! Love the local places around here and this one is a classic. Great burgers and fries are always crispy. Every burger I have gotten was always on point with flavor and always fills you up! If your up for the challenge, I done it, you can always do their belly buster burger which will test your limits! Definitely will recommend anyone if they want great food with a local atmosphere!

If you love good old fashioned skin on fry, this is a place you must try. Take a step back in time to this little hole in the wall. Perfect small town dining experience. I just wish I didn't feel discriminated against. It's not just this restaurant. I am allergic to gluten yet they still don't serve gluten free toast, even though it's such a common problem. I understand that it's difficult to prevent contamination, but at least you could provide the option and I can choose if I want it or not. Instead, restaurants feel free to charge me for a full breakfast, yet not provide me with a gluten-free option. I say get with the times restaurants and be fair to all your customers.

I love me some dive dinners, they are truly the diamond in the rough. Took the family to Big Daddy's Burgers while visiting Duluth. The staff and owner were very friendly and all thanked us for our business when leaving. I will say it this way, it was all I expected and everything I did not expect. The burgers were delicious, the fries were more than one human could or should consume. The five of us ate until we could not eat another bit and no joke, left like 2.5 pounds of fries between us to be thrown out. I appreciate hearty portions but this might be overkill. So why a three star versus five, well the place felt like a hallway stuffed with tables and the fries are home cut (which is fine) but they were soft and soggy. I would suggest less fries and cooked longer in the deep fryer so they crisped up a bit. Like I said, the staff was great, burgers were great but the ambiance and fries were so so.

As several others have mentioned, the burgers are dry. fries were good but by themselves don’t make this worth another try. Lots of (better) burger options in the Twin Ports.

I really enjoy coming here so it sucks to put this review. I came here a couple nights ago with my partner. Server was super kind and friendly, we ordered and waited for our food. As we were waiting I was watching them put the food into the baskets, the chefs didn’t have gloves, I gave the benefit of the doubt just because I’d like to think they’re washing their hands constantly, watched them touch the buns and fries without gloves. As they were setting up a second basket, which I found to be mine, at that counter I watched my server eat a fry or fries out of the basket. I tried to come up with some sort of excuse, I would’ve been fine if the server were maybe wearing a glove but they weren’t. I’m non-confrontational and didn’t say anything and just didn’t tip.

Out of towners stopping in to try some where new. Service was fantastic. The food however, our party agreed, was bland and wasn't worth the expense. $15 for a bland burger sided with 8 pounds of fries. (So many fries that are wasted.) The senior meatloaf with mash/gravy wasn't edible.

I have to believe that the 5-star reviews are for the huge portions because my meal wasn’t that good. I had biscuits with country gravy with eggs and hashbrowns. Sadly it had very little flavor. The country gravy was pretty much unseasoned and had no sausage in it (which is normally the best part of the dish). The hashbrowns were cooked ok but also had no flavor. Usually when you have hashbrowns you’d expect a nice buttery flavor and/or salt/seasoning but there was none so they just tasted like shredded potatoes. The service was great. But there is a stale smell to the place and a sticky floor as you walk through the restaurant. I was also surprised at how expensive it was (after hearing for so long how reasonable the prices were especially relative to the portion size). However, it was $25 for the dish, a soda, and tip. It could heave been so much better if there was just more flavor to it; especially considering everything was cooked well.

Food was good standard breakfast fare, no frills just good. They could definitely cut back on their portion of hash browns. Chicken fried steak was good. I ordered scrambled eggs which they do in the style of an omelet without filling which isn’t my favorite, I prefer when they actually make a scrambled egg. I am knocking them as this review is being left in 2020 during the covid pandemic and they were allowing customers in without masks. Also, they sit the plates on the counter prior to delivering them. There was a patron sitting right in front of the food that was ready for table delivery.

Big Daddy's used to have great HUGE fresh cut fries. Now they are tiny and over cooked. They're like over cooked dry potato skin with no pillowy inside. One person in our party only ordered a side of fries, didn't even eat half of them. Burger and bacon was over cooked. We were in a large group and it was pretty much the same review from every table; over cooked, dry food and how the fries used to be way better. Also the server didn't ask how to split the bill ($43). The one at the cash register had to do it for us. After ringing up the first person ($14 for fries and a pop) she rang up the next two ($40 for 2 pops a sandwich and a burger) so someone got overcharged a few dollars. Wall art is lacking. I remember back in the day when they'd have art from local artists on the walls (for sale). It was a great way to have new and original art work for patrons to look at (and buy) while helping local artists put their name and art out and make money.

I decided to give this place another shot before leaving a review. Today I tried the burgers again. These burgers are flavorless and my burger was dripping wet. It literally tasted like they boiled the meat. Fries were trash also. Don’t come here, keep driving down the road to give guys. Hell, Burger King would be a better choice.
