Beautiful place. The food was excellent. It’s a nice beachy vibe. Even the bathrooms were super clean. Every single item we ordered was excellent. From the steak to the fish, dessert, drinks, definitely a place to go back to. Our server, Gilrey was on point. Did they never skip the beat. Our glass of water was always full. We will definitely go back.

Excellent new restaurant in the Eagle Beach area. Fantastic indoor and outdoor seating options. Really broad menu, but based on the Reddit reviews I went with the smashed burger which was a hit. The staff was very friendly and attentive and very accommodation of our large group with kids. Its new and doesn’t have a lot of reviews yet but I would highly recommend this place.

An “A” experience all around. Food was very good, service excellent, vibe and one of the most beautiful decors inside and out. Highly recommend.

Marea was delicious was lunch! We had the nachos, spicy crab bites, lobster pancakes, and smash burgers. The service was top notch also, and it is a nice restaurant with a pretty view of Eagle Beach!

I came with a party of 9 on a Sunday and it wasn’t crowded at all. I love the atmosphere and design of the place, it’s truly incredible. The lighting and music was perfect and I enjoyed the live music as well.

We had a great service and came for lunch the following 2 days. Nicole was so kind and attentive. Highly recommend :)

New Restaurant: 01/10/25 My wife and I had a wonderful pre-birthday celebration lunch at the newly opened Marea beachfront restaurant, situated at the JOIA Aruba by Iberostar hotel. The ambiance was charming, and Edwin, the restaurant supervisor, along with his team, extended a warm welcome. Each dish we sampled was outstanding! The fried whole red snapper as the main course was particularly impressive, complemented by the plantain and Bata chips with dipping sauce that we enjoyed while waiting for our meals. We genuinely hope that the staff, food quality, and portion sizes remain consistent. Overall, this restaurant offers the best food, service, and value in Aruba! It truly stands out as one of Aruba's hidden gems! We look forward to our next visit! Our only concern was that cocktails, like the piña colada, were pricey and of average quality, but I am confident they will address this in time. Therefore, I am giving it a 4.5-star rating. If they enhance both the pricing and quality of the drinks, they would undoubtedly receive a perfect 10-star rating from me. We can’t wait to return!!!

A beautiful setting with superb service and great food for the price. A great place to dine as a couple or with the whole family. One of the most friendly and accommodating staffs we have encountered on any trip to Aruba. Edwin was particularly helpful - a great experience overall.

There are plenty of restaurants in this area, all of them have great food. But Marea stands out when it comes to service. Kristal Joy was our server on a very busy evening. She made us laugh and made it a truly memorable experience. If you are in Aruba, of course you are there to have a wonderful time and savor your experiences. This is the place that you will remember as a highlight of your trip. Make yourself comfortable, put your toes in the sand and enjoy.

We stopped in at Marea and were so impressed. I got the smashed burger and my husband ordered the house burger—both were delicious. We also tried the shrimp ceviche, which had amazing flavor and was exactly what I look for in a proper ceviche. If you’re looking for a non-touristy spot with a real vibe, come here. Our server was the sweetest person ever, and I wish I had written down her name to give her a proper shoutout. The entire team was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. We also dined at the hotel’s more upscale restaurant, Bucatini, and had an equally amazing experience there.

Kristol Joy was in fact a joy! The food is amazing and view immaculate. We took a day pass while on cruise to stay at hotel pool area. Would come again! Oh just to let you know bring credit card as cash is not accepted.

MAREA is an absolute must-visit in Aruba. This place 100% passes the vibe check — the décor is stunning, the atmosphere is electric, and the entertainment is spot-on. The waitstaff was incredible, and the hosts were the best we’ve experienced on the island. We showed up as a group of nine without a reservation, and they still welcomed us with a smile and seated us at a beautiful table inside. They made us feel taken care of from the moment we walked in. The food? Incredible. Every dish was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. I have not stopped raving about it since we left! MAREA gave us one of our favorite nights in Aruba — unforgettable service, gorgeous space, and a vibe that just feels right. Highly, highly recommend!

Marea is such a treat! Sat outside under a large enough canopy to keep out the hot sun or a passing shower, yet enjoy the Aruban breeze. The curry chickpea is rich and delicious accompanied with perfectly cooked coconut rice, the fish tacos are ample and filling, the tuna tataki is very flavorful with the best grade of tuna we've had out of 5 other restaurants, and the star is the Nos Cunucu salad. The mocktails are refreshing and not overly sweet, perfect with the meal. And for dessert my wife had the best espresso martini ever, and the espresso itself is better than any of the coffee shops on the island, tastes just like you're in Italy! Marea is a must!

We’ve been on Aruba for a week and have eaten at many highly rated restaurants. We had our best meal at Marea, in part because of the food and atmosphere, but mostly because of our waiter, Carlos, who was absolutely terrific! One of the best waiters we have ever had! Highly recommend!

Awesome food and staff. Edwin did great to take care of us, and they also had singers and a DJ there depending on the time of day. We went back because it was so great. Great management!

Beautiful outdoor seating with our feet in the sand. Excellent wine list, amazing ceviche and delicious salmon. The live music made our evening absolutely magical!

My wife and myself recently visited Marea Restaurant located at the beautiful JOIA Aruba resort. We were warmly welcomed by their staff. We loved the coziness, comfort and quietness of the surroundings. Our waitress Kristal attended us wonderfully taking care of the utmost detail. The kind and charismatic manager Edwin came to greet us as well and to make sure we were enjoying ourselves with their service. We had different appetizers, main course and dessert! We fully enjoyed everything from our experience at Marea Restaurant, and highly recommend it!!!

Beautiful lunch spot on eagle beach with excellent service and decor. Their smashburger with sweet potato fries is delicious. Plus they have very nice baby chairs.

The food was amazing and so fresh. We had ceviche and tuna tartare and i would definitely come back here and would definitely recommend this restaurant to travelers. It is only a year old, so modern and beautiful inside and outside! And outside seating as well as inside. Staff was also very friendly and welcoming. Great new place :)

A beach front, beautifully thought out restaurant. Great ambiance, outdoor dining facing the beach with live music. The food was great except the entree we both ordered “seafood medley over pineapple rice” did not mention anything about cheese in it, my gf is lactose intolerant, and sure enough it was more so over risotto with cheese mixed in. A bit disappointing for a restaurant of this standard.

A 4.5 is accurate. The food was very good -- great Aruban options, well prepared, large portions, great for groups and sharing. The restaurant and hotel are beautiful. The guitar player was fun. The service was not on point. Perhaps because it's a pretty new place. They had a lot of staff running around with no communication not knowing what they were doing. But all in all a good time and worth a visit.

Had a beautiful ceviche for lunch, could have had more sweet potatoes but other than that beautiful. For dinner we had two typical dishes, the one with chicken it was a not dry and salty but I liked it - my husband didn’t love it. He ordered a meat dish that was great in flavor, o think o would have preferred a different cut but the bell peppers on top made it right. The live music was ok - quite old school salsa but we danced a bit anyway.

Family of four for dinner. Got there early at 5pm. No wait and sat inside. Beautiful design. Good food. Service was friendly but a bit tardy, especially given we were the only ones in there. I think service will improve with time. We enjoyed our food and atmosphere. We definitely recommend!

We had a beautiful table and a fairly good service. They are very new and really trying, I had a smash burger and asked which side I wanted. Choose the corn which was delicious but also received fries. No where does it say it comes with fries so too much food. Burger was delicious.

We had a great dinner at Marea, but feel like the menu could have been better. Our waitress Cecilia was absolutely fantastic. My wife said the espresso martini was one for the best she’s ever had. The tajin wings were delicious. I had the fish of the day, which was red snapper, and had it filleted and grilled at Cecilia’s recommendation. It was amazing. But I feel like the menu was very…bland. For a Caribbean restaurant, there wasn’t a lot of seafood options. The seafood options that were offered were very basic. Overall, great food, but more authentic Caribbean seafood options would have been better.

We had a really nice time at Marea’s yesterday! The restaurant isn’t right on the beach, but it’s within walking distance, so we were able to enjoy a beautiful sunset nearby before dinner. We tried the smashed cheeseburger, which was really, really good - perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Overall, everything we tried was delicious, and the whole experience was relaxed and enjoyable.

Very good food, service, and atmosphere, but entrees don't come with any sides so at the time of this writing, for instance the $38 gets you only a piece a salmon and if you want 1 side e.g. a vegetable with it its $12 more and so a traditional entree of salmon with 2 sides would be $72 which is pretty pricey even for a resort reataurant.

Wonderful evening, everyone at our table raved about their meals. Music was great and staff was so friendly. Sit outside if you can!

Went to Marea for the brunch and what a disappointment, 22 mins to get 2 coconut shrimps and a salad????? BEWARE not worth the $69 per person, better spend your money somewhere else.

Breakfast menu not reflective of reality. Otherwise, service and atmosphere were excellent. The 6oz breakfast steak was 3oz. The avocado, cream cheese and hash browns that come with the huevos rancheros were plain guacamole, sour cream and no you’ll have to order the hash browns separately. The resort is just opening so hopefully they’ll bring the breakfast food quality up to the rest of the experience. Espresso was good.

Disappointed. Atmosphere and live music was fantastic. Service was occasionally non-attentive (sat for 20 minutes without even seeing our server) but when they did attend they were happy and although the food was tasty (fish) it came out Luke warm.

We were looking forward to having dinner at Marea. We had a reservation and we were seated right away. After sitting 5 minutes, the waitress walked over without saying hello asked : "Are you ready to order?" I felt as though we were in a diner ordering breakfast. We ordered the short rib appetizer to share and then ordered the smash burger and the fish tacos as our mains. We also ordered a couple of ice tea's. The ice tea took a while to arrive to the table. Plaintain chips and tortilla chips were brought to the table with dip. Both the plantain chips and tortilla chips were stale as if they had been left out in the humidity for some time. The short rib appetizer was good but not hot, barely warm. The smash burger and fries were good but nothing to write home about. The fish tacos were not great. The fish was cold and smothered with a sweet cole slaw which was overpowering. The food was mediocre at best and the service was poor though she was nice and apologetic. This is not a restaurant we will return to.
