We decided to try out this restaurant, I typically don’t leave reviews but this was an amazing experience. The seafood was immaculate! Nice and spicy. Our server Eduardo was a delight, providing excellent customer service, going the extra mile. He even offered to take a group Photo. I’m very impressed and I think my husband and I will become regulars here!!

I just want to start of by saying that the food smelled so good and was to fresh that i couldn’t get a before & after. I had a 1/2 pound boiled shrimp w/h the G style sauce to good & my gf had the Cajun chicken pasta with shrimp. The service was amazing we got sitting down immediately and had our food In less then 8 min , our server Jacky was amazing , 10/10 serves very attentive if you get served by her you’ll have a Guaranteed great experience. Everything was great!!! A group of us drove in from Porter to catch some live entertainment and good food and we had the best time! They have an area with full tables, a nice size stage, and room for dancing plus a live DJ who really caters to his crowd. The food was great and we had a variety of drinks (beer, cocktails, and wine...there was something for everyone). The dirty rice was FLAVOURFUL!! Guillermo was a great host as he took a late call from me the night before to make a table reservation and our server, Jackie was just amazing!! She made sure the night was perfect for us! They have live entertainment all the time so we will return!

First and foremost, the G-sauce… is the best! I had the shrimp and it came with a potato and a corn. I’ve never tasted a sauce like this before and it was awesome! I had the fried pickles, cheese sticks, shrimp stuffed jalapeño and boudin balls. I highly recommend this place. If you’re ever in Houston this is a highly recommended place to visit on Houston! I’ve worked at many seafood places and the sauce is ORIGINAL

We celebrated a group family birthday on Sunday and the restaurant attended to us just fine. The food was really good. I went with 1lb of jumbo crawfish with potatoes and sausage. My brother got 3lbs with shrimp, so I shared with him after I finished mine. We got calamari as an appetizer on top of the chips and salsa they provide. I personally didn’t like the texture of the calamari, but others might. Overall the service was great. The waiter we had was very attentive. The price was reasonable and the family enjoyed their meals. Great for groups. I’m not sure the total cost, because my brother paid. Thanks for taking the time to read my review.

We enjoyed this establishment! The atmosphere, vibe and music was great. Every team member we encountered was polite and smiling. Jackie our waitress was wonderful. She gives very good customer service. My husband and I really enjoyed talking to Mr Randy. To top it off the owner came by and visited with us. Very laid back and made us feel even more welcome and relaxed. I had boiled shrimp. It wasn’t Louisiana spicy so ask for extra spicy but it was still good and flavorful. My husband had the fried catfish seasoned perfectly. My drink was delicious 😋 I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a casual outing with good food good prices and kickback. We’ll be back ⚜️

Good service and tasty seafood, but the chicken fajitas and dated atmosphere don’t justify the price. If you’re a seafood lover you may enjoy it, but for Tex-Mex or a nicer dining experience there are better nearby options. I’m giving The Blue Bayou three stars — and it really could have been higher if one dish hadn’t fallen short. We ordered the trio Cajun boil and a shrimp plate with vegetables and rice. Both were flavorful, the seafood tasted fresh, and the food came out quickly. Our waiter was also very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, my entrée — the chicken fajitas — was disappointing. The chicken was dry and came with no salsa. Instead, there were lots of jalapeños but only a small amount of beans (3 tbsp) and chopped tomatoes (2 tbsp). The portion felt small and I left still hungry. In Texas, where Tex-Mex is everywhere, you expect solid fajitas, especially for guests who can’t eat seafood. The atmosphere also hurt the experience. The restaurant feels dated and more like a weekend bar than a comfortable dinner spot. The dining area needs updating, although the restrooms were surprisingly clean. Our bill was about $94 plus a 15% gratuity, which felt expensive for what we received. With the same budget, nearby restaurants offer a much better atmosphere and stronger non-seafood options.

No server for 45 minutes. We were given a seat and then to find out the server was the manager who was missing! Then no one wanted to take our order. Nor was the table across from us receiving help. We used our personal hand sanitizer to clean the tables. Got our order finally then to find out it was cold and incorrect. Last time coming here.

I've tried this place more a few times. The food is mediocre, prices reasonable, but HOW can a restaurant with a name like Bayou Blue be THIS empty at lunchtime? This is the Blackened Catfish. NOT very good.

This was my second time visiting and my second time not liking the food. I will say the fried mushrooms were great. They were large, hot, crisp but besides the good service that's all the nice things I can say. The fajitas were dry and bland both the chicken and steak. The rice was interesting and honestly everything tasted old. We were two of the eight people there so not much atmosphere. Maybe once again I came at the wrong time and day.

This was like 2-3 weeks ago. First they took forever(25 mins) when it was like 4 people eating in there because it was like 4pm on a weekday to get my Togo order when it came it was wrong because they tried to charge me 2 dollars more than the sandwich I ordered. I opened the container and it was fried with something on it and I ordered a gril chicken sandwich with nothing on it hot sauce on the side. The manager came over explaining this is it so I showed her on the menu what I ordered and what they are trying to charge so she said give her 7 mins she would have the right order done it took I timed it 13 mins 40 seconds got it to come out. She still charged me a dollar more because she just put a 2 dollar discount but the tax was based on the original messed up price, mean time I’m waiting I’m talking to a guy at the bar who tells the bartender this is his 5th time here and everytime he comes they mess something up with order and then he hears about mine. So I leave go back to my hotel since im outta town on business. I open my food take a bite and as you can see from the pictures the chicken wasn’t cooked fully. And some of the fries are literally raw. Wish I had used my credit card because I would’ve charged it back. Definitely won’t be back here as I come to Houston and this area often.
