The customer service here is on point, as well as the food! Captain Kenneth and Leutenant Angle were very friendly and accommodating! Definitely the best Whataburger I've ever been to. ♡

Had to work overnights in Mexia for about 2 weeks. Whataburger was the only thing open to eat. I ate here every night for 2 weeks. The staff was always friendly, the order was always exactly correct, and most importantly, it was hot and fresh. This is a great location, very impressed.

Enjoyed the meal, staff was alert and looking to take care of customers. Management presence was obvious. I hope to see that level of customer service continue. Congratulations to the crew, stay positive.

I really love Whataburger but the drive thru in every location I have been to is slow and gets backed up. Why is the first window not utilized? When done right it speeds up service time. parking cars that will hold up other cars behind them is a great way to move the drive thru as well.

One of the best I've had, old school Whataburger, grilled onions, heavy tomatoes, double meat and cheese! Reminded men of going 25 yrs ago that taste. They made sure my fries were hot!

What a GREAT experience we had last night eating at this What A Burger. It was late, we were heading home from the mud park and were hungry. The folks working were SO nice and friendly! The food was excellent! The owner of this restaurant should be very proud of the team he put together. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOOD!!!

I drive through Mexia, probably twice a month. I recently was pleasantly surprised to discover there is a Whataburger there. I ordered at the drive thru, and the staff were super friendly. I'm very picky as to how I like my cheeseburgers, and they nailed it. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. I will be stopping here alot more often.

The manager that was working at the time of my visit was absolutely wonderful and very patient unfortunately I did not get her name but it was Wednesday April 7, 2021 around 5:20/5:30pm.. I had given her several big orders and there was a special request for my orders, for me I was so thankful there was NO issues and I was in and out of the restaurant in no time, so Kudos to the Manager at the Whataburger in Mexia, Tx... It's a great place when I go to Corsicana to treat myself. It buffa so you pick what you like. Everything looks so delicious and the service is wonderful. A place to take the wife and get away while on a shopping date.

Staff was very polite and Courteous. table had a bit of shredded cheese on it. one employee Blonde Young lady (didn't catch her name) was running orders and cleaning tables when not running orders. restroom was immaculate.

We went during peak late hours and I'm impressed by the service and courtesy of the staff. Our order was correct and we appreciate the quick service. Keep up the good work ladies!

The food and service were great! All our burgers were delicious, hot, and savory. The cheese was melted nicely and the fries were fresh out of the fryer! Hands down one of the best Whataburger's we've been to.

My parents and me and my husband met at the Mexia Whataburger this past week, because that's where my Dad wanted to eat for his birthday! We all live 1.5 hours away from this location but it's a good middle meeting point. I thought I would ask the cashier if they had a 83 place marker for his birthday so we could take a photo since we always use birthday number candles for family birthdays. She said she would go check. Before we ever got to our seats, Lacey had not only found a 83 table marker and a Happy Birthday table marker, she had informed Kenneth, the manager, and he showed up to our table with a cup full of Whataburger goodies for my dad (like what they would hand out at a recruiting table/fair), and added apple pie and cinnamon roll to our table for him. This made my Dad's day and ours too! Thank you for always having great food, and going above and beyond for fabulous customer service!

This location is so high volume for a small city. Literally about the same as Northwest highway dallas. Beside Love Field* I got to know the staff here also a bit. A number of great ppl just like Dallas. Management at this location have the skills!

I've eaten lots of Whataburgers all over texas. This was THE BEST hamburger I've ever had. It was hot, delicious , and all fresh!!! I usually don't finish the regular burger because they're big, but I ate every bite at this location! And I didn't think I was that hungry when we stopped. So good and so glad we stopped to eat at this particular location!! I give it 10 STARS!!!!@

LC Container went here here for breakfast and made a complex order to meet our diet. They got everything exactly right, three sausage breakfast on a Barns two with no bun, and one honey butter, chicken biscuit. They went out of their way to make sure that we were satisfied. The Whataburger in Mexia, Texas is normally a good place to get a good hot hamburger and french fires or other menu items. Today we apparently visited right at staff shift change and a incorrect order was delivered to our table. After bringing the error to the staff's attention the correct order was delivered. The food was good, hot, and fresh.

Fast and friendly service. Food was great as always. Inside is a little dated and in need of a deep clean, but it is a great location.

I love Whataburger. When I lived outside of Texas, it was one of my first stops entering the state and one of my last stops when leaving. They are generally clean, have prompt service and are pleasant. The burgers are great.

I stopped at this location somewhat sleep deprived as I traveled home to Houston from DFW after greeting my new grandson.:) As I ordered the Whatacatch chicken sandwich I was gently corrected by Christine who clarified that I was indeed ordering a fish sandwich. She is clearly an outstanding member of the Whataburger team there as I witnessed countless customers be greeted by her as well as sought her out to say goodbye and see you soon :) That folks is FANTASTIC customer service ! Got me a patty melt fries with no salt and a power aide. Fries came out with no salt. Yes! Exactly how I ordered it.

People were friendly. I had a Whatachicken sandwich which was a real piece of chicken. It had a good texture and a good taste. Wife had a grilled chicken salad. The chicken was a processed patty which looked it went through a blender and then pressed into a patty. Texture was like rubber and very little taste. Had it before and it was much different. Would not order it again. ,

I made an online delivery order today, everything was great tasting, fresh and hot. The timing was above my expectations, thank you. Only one minor mishap and that was no butter or syrup with my pancake platter order. Thankful that I had it at home. They also apologized for that being that it's a fast paced restaurant with lobby and drive thru orders on top of everything else. But it's simple superb with delivery orders. 👏 👏 👍

If you manage to squeeze in here at a time when they are not totally slammed, your food quality will be excellent and usually the service will be, too. If you're worried about atmosphere, it can completely change from being all dirty to nice and clean many times during the day, all depending on how busy they have been recently. This Whataburger consistently delivers higher quality food than the other larger Whataburgers in the nearby towns. However the wait times will likely be longer.

It was okay. I ordered a cinnamon roll, but it didn't come with a fork. Same thing happened to me last time, I ordered pancakes, it came with syrup, but no fork. I don't know if we are suppose to ask for a fork. Are we?

Good food, hot and fresh most of the time. You only have to remind them 2 to 3 times about anything out of standard, and check your bag.... I have had 5 star at times and 2 star at other times...with 3 the most common.

2 items that surprised me: 1. Sat down at a table my wife had chosen and found a French Fry from a previous Customer on the table. 2. The Hamburger Bun was dry & fell apart as I ate it. The Manager came by and asked me about the meal & I informed him of the Bun. He came a few minutes later and told me the Bun Toaster was not plugged in & plugged it in. The reason I was surprised is that I am a regular at Whataburger in the State of Texas and have found the restaurants clean & food consistent throughout the various restaurants.

I always liked what a burger except by the time you get home with the fries, you can’t eat them. Just bought a whatacatch and had to throw it away because it was inedible. I don’t know what they did to it but it was absolutely the worst thing I ever put in my mouth. Way over cooked and felt like it was covered in sand

The food was fine but my drink was off. I ordered a coke but it came out tasting really sweet and syrupy. I couldn’t even finish the drink, very disappointing.

This place like most fast food places have lost its shine, nickel & dime u to death when asking for extra tomatoes, lettuce, or cheese dip. They sure don't take the price off when U eliminate it. Fast and friendly has turned to long lines, rushed, I hate my job ppl, that fake smile. Not their fault, its lack luster companies. Better than McDonald's though.

Inside was empty, but drive thru was steady Dine-in getting food was kind of slow, but was hot and assumed fresh. Spicy chicken patty was over cooked and very dry, paid to add cheese, but no cheese on sandwich. Seems like maybe new employees, managers or trainers giving lots of pep talks of encouragement which is good for long term

Staff argued and cursed in the middle of my order and made me uncomfortable and did have what i ordered, My order was wrong and the fries were old and rubbery. EWWW!! We ordered 2 what ta catches fish sandwiches were pretty decent this time but you would think for lunch time that the fries would be fresh this is Mexia Texas some of the stale fries I ever experienced from a Whataburger at lunch time rush but we were in the drive-thru and time we got down the street they're heading back to Buffalo Texas it was sad The quality of the fries there are very bad so be careful and check your fries check all your food at this Whataburger

I'm not exactly sure about the review upon whataburger because I went to this area again before and I realized I am allergic to a certain grease in whataburger (Soybean oil.) The food was good but I was sick later on after eating in this area, the soft drink fountain didn't have any ice in the area and there was some trash around the area that I hope could make the area cleaner. The area isn't suggested in my opinion but the food is just fine for me.

There is only one Whataburger in Mexia Texas. The manager is phenomenal. Kenneth is very knowledgeable and eager to help. Unfortunately, there is a problem every single time I visit this restaurant. Mostly cold fries. I simply don’t understand how one of the most expensive fast food restaurants in town serves mediocre fare. It’s truly not worth what you pay for. I’ve used coupons to reduce the expense. I’ve redeemed points. I’ve called corporate to earn points for purchases when the app wouldn’t accept the coupons I received in the mail. Nothing. Ever. Works. These seemingly small issues keep me from frequenting this franchise more often than I do. Recently, the drive-thru line was long so I figured the food would be fresh and hot. So I ordered on the app for curbside delivery. And you guessed it…cold fries and a sloppy warm burger. (View photos). The burger ALONE cost me almost $10 because I redeemed points for the fries. Disappointed again.. in Whataburger’s defense, I went inside to replace the cold fries with hot ones and the young man was pleasant and eager to help. Very redeeming on their part. However, I shouldn’t have received cold fries to begin with. I shouldn’t have had to replace anything. FYI-The call I placed to corporate three months ago? Still not returned and points issue never resolved. I guess I don’t matter.

The food was dry and greasy. I had a breakfast taco that was very dry and my daughter had a sausage biscuit and her boyfriend had a bacon biscuit The meat on each of the biscuits was very greasy. So much so on my daughters that she became nauseous.

Today i got the bacon cheeseburger combo. My brother got cheeseburger combo. Both were over loaded with mustard. So guess if you like a half jar mustard on your buger, this is tha place to go. Coke had too much carbonation flavor to it. Think i will take this place off my list for a while. Ease up on the mustard next time PLEASE.

Ordered a double meat meal . Got single meat and meat was so dry and small I had more bun and cold bun at that than meat. Onion rings were cold and greasy. Thought I would call and talk to them 30 minutes later their phone is still busy.

Food wasn't bad and the people working were very nice but I don't know what was with the service but it was the slowest I have ever had at any Whataburger. All I ordered was a chicken strip sandwich, fries, and an apple pie, and I wait probably about 20-25 minutes. After waiting and going back to my office, I noticed the apple pie wasn't in my bag. So I had to drive all the way back to get it AND not even an apology. When I walked in all he said was "did we forget something" and I told him and he just handed it to me without another word. This bothers me because I had literally just came here after another bad experience at another location here in Mexia. Just very disappointed and felt like it isn't worth the money I spent .

We come through this little town quite often & stop here a lot. Usually there's never a problem. Last night our wait time, from when we pulled up in line to getting our order, was over an hour. There was no apology, nor an explanation! Nothing but here's your food! This was between 11:40PM & 12:55AM There were probably 5 cars in line. I know Whataburger takes longer than others fast food & is worth the weight. ..but c'mon! Over an hour is a bit much for 5 cars!!

Staff was rude. The woman at the window was barely understandable. We asked for ketchup and received none, by the way its my favorite ketchup thats why it's called crackup. The fries we're so bad i thought they were from burger King. Its sad because I absolutely love whaterburger.

The lady who took our order was rude and mumbling so we could not understand her. When we got our food mine was warm, but definitely not fresh. My friend on the other hand her buns were super soggy and her fries were cold. She couldn't even eat it, it grossed her out to much.

Not really sure what is going on with Whataburger. I tried three different locations and regretted the purchases. I tried Cedar Hill, Dallas and Duncanville. Actually I tried a fourth location...Mexia. I give up.

Every time i come something is always wrong with my order or missing its really frustrating and when i would go back in to address the issue but it depends on who is working if they are rude or not its just really annoying because its every time i go where its in the drive thur or i dine in.

Te absolute WORST whataburger. They are ridiculous slow. It’s just fast food. And they’re so incompetent. Take 40 mins on an order just for it to still be wrong. And the employees are SOOOO rude. Terrible place to eat

Normally great service and friendly staff but really bad experience today. Went to get a refill and found a huge black beetle in my cup that had come out of the ice machine when I got my first drink. Showed one of the employees who then got the manager. Manager didn't even apologize or speak to me. Just told the employee to comp my drink. As she walked away she was mumbling about how they (beetles) were all over everything. Didn't go to change the ice or have anyone else check the ice to make sure more weren't in there. Very poorly handled by management.

Horrible service. Curbside said pick up 35 minutes ago, never came out, go inside food is sitting there cold. Don’t recommend what so ever! This isn’t the first time, it’s common. Again idk why I came back 7/23 same thing. Curb side doesn’t work

The food was good as usual, but the floor was filthy. It was slippery and I was afraid to fall. The ladies' bathroom floor was really bad. I asked for the manager and was asked to just tell the ladies at the counter what the problem was. Hopefully they got around to clean it before anyone slipped on it.

This what a burger gets 0 - 👎🏻 Had to ask for straws we where the only one in the drive thru my husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger their was no bacon or cheese on the burger. I ordered a salad not the right dressing and had no plastic fork luckily I had some in my car extra . We did not check our order we stopped at a roadside park out of town and discovered the order was not right and no napkins no fork . Was charged for the hamburger that was not right. Want be going back to that whataburger. They where not busy at all. I always stop at that whataburger in the past but not anymore. Very disappointed 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

I ordered a pancake platter with SAUSAGE not bacon, not only did it take us awhile to get our food but we had told them SEVERAL TIMES that we wanted SAUSAGE not BACON. They don’t listen and they tale forever. Check your food before you leave this place

I’ve been driving through this small town for about 2 months now and I stop quite often because I get hungry while I’m working late at night and it seems this location NEVER has anything. They keep saying “they didn’t get their truck again”… like seriously how is this such a problem ALL the time??? Maybe it’s time to shut this location down if you can’t even have the proper amount of food to serve your guests. It’s ridiculous

Horrible experience and it isnt the first time... Pulled to the second window after I ordered and practically had the money snatched out of my hand... And nothing was ever said to me.. Then had my change thrown at me.. Still nothing said to me.. Dang near had my food thrown in my vehicle and wasnt asked if I wanted ketchup and the shut the window and walked away.. Definately wont be back!!

Normally the staff is very friendly and the food comes out fast but today was terrible, the staff was very rude just about all the tables were filthy, trash over flowing. We had to wait 15 minutes for nasty food while the staff played in the kitchen.

I ordered on the app as always same order once a week 3 piece chicken strips meal. I got my order curbside. As i open my food i got the wrong sauce and no texas toast. Plus the food was old and cold.

This place 🤮🤢🤮🤢 me n my family was returning home from my cousin funeral. Decided to stop for food. From the time we ordered our food n pull up to the window to pay. It took them 26 minutes until we received the order. Asked for cheese on the burgers, it wasn't melted. Wow, this place sucks!

My order was wrong, fries cold and stale, burger tiny, they take forever and they never get anything right will not eat here again absolutely trash oh my burger was not cooked all the way I’m calling the health code too because apparently they find rats in there fryers and they don’t clean

I arrived at 5:18 am yesterday morning to drive thru. There were 2 vehicles at the window. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese taquito only. 25 minutes later I got it. The car at the window was there 10 minutes or so, the 2nd car about the same.... then I pulled up and paid... still had to wait another 3 to 4 minutes for a taquito. Very bad for fast food and being in a hurry to work. The taquito was good but I didn't have time to actually eat it all! I'm in no hurry to go back to this whataburger in Mexia.

Every time I have been to this location there has been a problem. Today was the worst. They were busy. No napkins to go with meal. They didn’t tell me that when I ordered. Got food. Burger was COLD as were the fries. How is that even possible when they are busy. The bottom of the bun was HARD. I will never go back.

One star is a generous review of this place. The restaurant is dirty, ice machine dripping water in the cup when getting ice, syrup oozing down the back of drink machine, 30 minute wait, over cooked fries, visable lack of care manager, and the same degrading quality of food, preparation and delivery with extremely high prices starting to be the norm at Whataburger. A couple of the employees were doing their best to comfort customers. They get the one star.

I got there ordered my usual... Waking in it looked clean, there were about 5 families seated as I walked in.. As I ordered i saw a lot of fries under the heat lamp all ready to be bagged....After a ten minute wait I saw orders coming out only to realize, only one out of the five families were eating and the rest were slowly getting served... I got closer to the counter as my order was take out. I stood there for Another eight to ten minutes to see the same fries that had been there the whole time be put in my bag... Not wanting to add more stress I just walked out with my order... As you would imagine burger was crisp on edges and fries were not the fries I look forward to when going to my favorite burger joint. I wouldn't mind the wait if at least my food was fresh... The end!!!!!

We went up here and ordered a breakfast bowl with sausage and a biscuit sandwich and when we ended up getting our food we did not get what we paid for all we got was a sugary smelling biscuit and the breakfast bowl and on top of that we waited about 20 minutes and we were the only ones there at the time . I say these employees are either new or just don't care about what they do .

Avoid at all cost. Go to the next available location you will be waiting 30-40 minutes even if it’s ordered 15 minutes ahead of time. Staff don’t know rather they are coming or going. The inside is not clean either if you’re planning to dine in.

I received very poor service yesterday. Asked multiple times about the status of my order in a 30 minute time-frame. Finally the last time I asked, at the 30 minute mark, they told me my food had been left out in the to-go spot for the last 20 minutes. This location wasn't even busy. Very few people were inside. My order was very clearly dine-in and says so on the receipt. They had no issue bringing my husband's order to the table but completely neglected to tell me my food was getting cold sitting in the to-go spot, despite asking about the status of my order several times and being told it wasn't done. I do not get the Whataburger hype in Texas because their service just isn't good!

Very disappointed in my experience with them, I placed an online order and went to pick it up, upon getting home ( I live 30 mins away ) not only was my order completely wrong but so was my husband's, I had order a Jr. Sweet & Spicy burger and instead had received just a whataburger's normal burger and my husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger and receive additional ingredients that he did not ask for. But upon looking at our receipt our order was correct. I'm very curious of how and why it can go from being correct on the receipt to the actual order being completely wrong.

I ordered a bacon egg and cheese taquito. I got a taquito no bacon. I called and spoke with “the manager” Jody. Which I’m pretty sure was a fake name. She got rude with me on the phone saying I can come back and get my taquito made the right way, or I can “just write my review”. We stop at Whataburgers from Texas to North Carolina and I have never met a worse place! Total trash management and this is the 3rd time they have messed up my order. If you’re looking for classic Whataburger quality and service DO NOT STOP HERE. If I was whataburger, I would be looking into small town places like this because they give the franchise a bad name.
