I had a fantastic experience at Paolozzi Beer and Kitchen. The place has a modern yet cozy vibe, perfect for enjoying good food and some quality local beers. What truly made the night special was the live performance by Sophie and Angus. Their music was absolutely brilliant – beautiful harmonies, a great setlist, and a warm energy that uplifted the atmosphere without overpowering it. They created a lovely and engaging environment that really stood out. The food was also excellent: well-presented, tasty, and with a good range of options. The beer selection is another highlight, offering both local and international choices. Definitely a place I’ll return to, especially if they continue hosting live music like this. Highly recommended!

I stay here regularly for work. Great hotel, great bar and great food. Staff are always very friendly and tend to every need especially Zuzanna, she is lovely very approachable and tends to your every need. Also shout out to the renovations it has only added to the atmosphere. I always love staying here and will continue to do so into the future.

Had the steak ciabatta, the steak was cooked perfectly, would definitely recommend! Stayed for a couple drinks after my meal and received the best service from Jess and Stefan, the pair of them were full of smiles and great chat, both are true assets to this venue.

We had a great family meal here, Jack was attentive, friendly and efficient. The whole team were great and made our two young boys feel very welcome. Great food too.

Really nice spot. I love visiting restaurant hotels to see what the vibe is. This place is nice - casual. The servers are in nice attire, very attentive, thoughtful lighting and decorations, but it doesn’t require you to be in a suit or ball gown. You’re treated as if it is some Michelin star restaurant but at average prices. I felt the price was on par with the quality. We spent just over £100 with the included service charge (that I hope was gratuity) and we ordered meals for 2 adults, 2 kid menu items, an appetizer, 1 dessert, glass of wine and a beer flight. Super easy to make a reservation but it wasn’t too busy on a Wednesday evening. One of the better hotel restaurants we’ve been to!

Food was yummy and service was quick! You have quite a good selection from what you can choose from. Prices are quite decent too^^ Sylverline was super kind and nice too and gave great travel tips! Total queen!

Staying at Novotel for 3 nights. The bar is a great place and Jon was wonderful! We were a large group as it was the last night of our tour so it was a lot and Jon was great!!

While on a Trafalgar tour through Ireland and Scotland, dined in and spent time in the bar. The food, service, bar and dining area were all enjoyable while staying in Edinburgh.

The entire experience was great until the check came. We were told at reception, "If you make a reservation for dinner we'll see to you having 2 cocktails and and an appetizer on us." That wasn't true. The server says that they never give complimentary cocktails. The dessert that they give you is a predetermined dessert. A "Scottish Tablet".

First of all, there are clearly a heap of fake reviews on this page. I was served by 3 people who barely made eye contact, so how people are leaving the names of their servers and gushing about the service is a mystery to me. The beer is also served quite warm. I tried three different beers (lagers not ales/stout) hoping to get one that was cold but without luck. Couldn’t finish any of them. The prices are also very off putting. Pints are almost £8 and a charcuterie board will set you back £26. I’ve just returned to the UK from California, and you would not even find prices like this in Malibu, so it is clearly exploitative pricing. Nonetheless, I allowed myself to be exploited in the interest of convenience. I had fish and chips as a kind of safe option as I’m sceptical of restaurants that offer far too many options… particularly Italian restaurants who offer things like nachos! The fish and chips were nice it has to be said. Batter was crispy and the fish was flaky. The sauce I got with it was pretty old though and had developed a thick layer of gunk on top of the thin sauce - had to leave that. Vinegar was served in a small paper cup which began falling apart. All in all, not a good restaurant, disinterested staff, confusing non-Italian/Italian vibe, bad beer, but really nice fish and chips.

Pizza’s are not fresh !! Paying 19 pounds for a prepared pizza is definitely not worth it .

Came due to the good reviews but was very disappointed by the food quality. The ‘foccacia’ is nothing but some cut up toast (and not even sourdough), and the pizzas are not fresh - they look and taste like frozen pizzas, with a weird gooey cheese on top. This level of quality does not justify the immense prices - I feel like I paid for a £50 meal deal.

Awful personnel, normal food, long waiting time. They do not even have a system of numbering for tables so you may get someone else order or not get anything.
