Burma Love in Menlo Park is a gem, praised for its friendly atmosphere, excellent service (especially from Carlos, Ann, Sean, Luis, Camille and Emmanuel), and delicious food. The tea leaf salad, garlic noodles, and kebat chicken are highly recommended. Some find the SF location better.

Burma Love in Menlo Park is a hidden gem that completely exceeded my expectations! Just a short walk from the Park James Hotel, this spot combines beautiful ambiance, high-end cocktails, and next-level flavors. ✨ What we ordered: • Tea Leaf Salad (SO fresh, vibrant, perfectly balanced with crunch + acidity) • Garlic Noodles • Broccoli & Mushroom • Bok Choy • Fiery Chicken Breast (tons of flavor, not heavy at all) No rice or prawns—and didn’t miss them one bit! Each dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor without being salty or greasy. You can tell the chefs know how to layer texture, color, and taste in every bite. 🍸 The bar is outstanding! They had Monkey 47 gin—a rare find—and when I ordered a Last Word, they added TWO maraschino cherries just because. It’s the little things like that that make the experience feel special. ⭐️ Service = Michelin level Jimmy, our server, was fantastic—attentive, warm, incredibly knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. He made the whole experience feel luxurious without being stuffy. 🍰 Don’t skip dessert! We ended the night with the Yangon Spiced Toffee Cake—sticky, rich, warm, with cinnamon peanut crumble, Indonesian vanilla ice cream, and fresh berries. One of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time. Next time I’m definitely getting the coconut rice and curry—saw it at another table and it looked amazing! ✅ Great for date night, girls’ night, solo bar seating, or if you’re just visiting the area. Stylish vibe, thoughtful service, and unforgettable food. 10/10 recommend—this place is a total vibe.
We really enjoyed the dining experience here. The food was delicious, a little exotic, and elegantly presented. The service was attentive in a classy and elegant setting. We picked this place from three Restaurant Week participants, we get a set menu with choices of cocktails, appetizer/salad, main course, and dessert. Everything was tasty, the most enjoyable dish was the Mohinga, the National Dish of South Burma. Essentially, it’s noodles in fish sauce, the noodles were al dente , the thick soup was flavorful with a hint of spice that grows on you.
So glad they opened in menlo park. Love the tea leaf salad Beef kebat was very tender Garlic noodles was perfect not too oily and just enough garlic accompanied by pickled cucumber Roti was crispy out and flaky great chicken curry dip Too bad they were out of Mango lassi so we ordered the.Lychee Dragon fruit mocktail and it was refreshing. Rainbow spring roll was freshly made. Service was prompt and out food came out at the right time. We will be back.
We are so happy to have Menlo Park as an option for a delicious Burma Love meal, since we used to only go to the SF location. Food was delicious as always! My favorite, tea leaf salad, was fresh and bursting with flavor. The chicken coconut curry was rich and warm, and the beef kebat was perfectly seasoned. Service was top notch, attentive and friendly. We’ve had server Sean before, and just like the past time we visited, she was amazing. She was very knowledgeable about all the dishes and very attentive. She made us feel at home, very warm and friendly. All the staff were excellent.
Burma Love in Menlo Park is such a gem! It’s located in a very clean and modern apartment building, and the space itself is beautiful. The atmosphere feels welcoming and stylish, and even the restroom was spotless — one of the cleanest I’ve seen in a restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. We tried two lunch sets, which are only available on weekdays. They come with several sides, which is a huge plus if you want to sample different dishes. Everything was well-prepared, full of flavor, and paired perfectly with their thoughtfully made drinks. The drinks were just as good as the food! The service was warm and attentive — our server was very nice and made the experience even better. Overall, everything about this restaurant feels high-quality and carefully done. The only downside is that it’s on the pricier side, and while the menu offers a lot of variety, some options require additional charges, which makes it feel like there are a few hidden fees. Still, given how tasty and well-presented the food is, it’s worth it. We loved our visit and will definitely be coming back again!
This is such a cute place in Menlo!!! I originally ordered to go roti platha with chicken curry and after doing a quick taste test my husband decided he wanted one for him self too!!! Then we went there for dinner the next day because the take out was ssooooo satisfying! We had dinner with my brother in law and his wife and the Shan shakshouka dish from the brunch menu was our table’s favorite without a doubt, but everything was delicious. We also had the hawker garlic noodles and I forget the salad but each item was delicious! Loved our experience here!!!
I’ll get the negative out of the way…I had to wait a few minutes longer than I wanted when trying to order a second drink. BUT….it as all WORTH the wait!!! The food was great! The service was great!! The drinks were great!!!! YOU MUST GO HERE!!!! Very pleased and the young lady running around to check on everyone (I think she was a manager) was one of the most pleasant people I’ve met in a long time! Almost made you feel like a regular on your first visit!! I’m definitely going back every chance I get!
Carlos was an attentive server/bartender. He gave great recommendations on the dishes to try like the Branzino and wok tossed chili plate with beef paired with garlic noodles….excellent! Luis was also a great bartender who checked on us periodically, initially greeted us as we sat down. Wonderful experience overall for our date night, we will be back!

From start to finish, my experience here was outstanding. The hostess was so attentive and welcoming — she greeted us with a smile and made sure we were comfortable right away. Huge shoutout to Luis and Carlos behind the bar — they were absolutely fantastic! Their service was the best I’ve had in a long time. Friendly, professional, and genuinely fun to talk to, they made amazing cocktails and gave great recommendations throughout the night. The food was incredible — the tea leaf salad was flavorful and refreshing, the curries were rich and perfectly balanced, and the coconut rice was the perfect side. The vibe in the restaurant is warm, lively, and full of great energy. Burma Love Menlo Park has easily become one of my favorite spots in the Bay Area. Amazing food, amazing people, and truly top-tier service. Can’t wait to come back! 💛🍹🍛
We enjoyed the shakshuka and the rainbow salad. Our server was lovely, checking with the kitchen when our food restriction questions went beyond her knowledge. The rainbow salad was too spicy for me, but I am quite sensitive to spice and I expect others would enjoy it. The shakshuka also had some spiciness, but I could tolerate it and really enjoyed their version of this dish. It was quite different than the more common middle eastern shakshuka but amazingly flavorful and tender. I would get this again. Excited to go back to enjoy their signature tea leaf salad sometime soon.
We took our family here multiple times and we have always enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the amazing food. I would recommend Kebat chicken and the garlic noodles. The samosa here is actually better than most Indian restaurants. Carlos and Emmanuel are amazing. Thank you for coming to Menlo Park.
We had gone for a birthday celebration and Sean, our server, took the best care of us! She was attentive, smiling and warm. The food was delectable to say the least! We loved the banana leaf branzino and the eggplant! The cocktails were amazing as well!

I celebrated my mother’s 65th birthday here with a party of 15 people. I could not have asked for a better experience. The food was excellent but what was special was the way the host went over and beyond. Special shoutout to Ann(I hope I got her name right) who hosted us. She was very warm and her attention to detail left us stunned. I am a fan of Burma love now.

Had lunch here again today and ordered the set menu $29 for a bento box like tray that you choose one of 5 or 6 entrees. I chose The beef was tender and was tasty . Included is a samosa and a small spring roll. Also rice and tea lead salad. My friend had the mango chicken.
Note the following surcharges / fees: 5% employee wellness surcharge 20% auto-gratuity for parties of 7 or more I would rather see these folded into the menu prices as the cost of doing business. Hopefully that will happen once the CA junk fee law takes effect on 7/1/24. We went for lunch on a Thursday during Peninsula Restaurant Week. The dining room is attractive and the volume level made conversation easy. We enjoyed our meal. My beef short ribs were very tender and flavorful, I would order it again. Service was polite but a little shaky, we had to remind them to bring out one of our items. Note: no outdoor seating is available.
Came here for a birthday. I personally think the one in SF is better, been to the SF one twice now. Still super new so I think they’re trying to perfect the menu but I would say it’s getting there. Nice presentation of food but some of the dishes were a bit bland compared to the SF one. The cocktails were pretty good. This restaurant is situated near a brand new plaza so not a lot of restaurants near by but I can see this area being up and coming. I would give this place a 4/5.
We went on a Sunday night. Very lively atmosphere, it was full by 6:30pm. Attentive, efficient service. The pork belly hung lay was amazing, as was the roti with coconut chicken curry. The tea leaf salad was mixed in front of us for a bit of drama, but the pieces of baby gem were a little too big for even distribution (would have been better if shredded). The rest of the dishes (deviled eggs, beef kebat, eggplant) were good but not super memorable. We were surprised that shan tofu wasn't on the menu, but I guess this is supposed to be contemporary fusion rather than traditional Burmese cuisine.
My family decided to come here for my birthday dinner. We had a reservation so we made it on time. We were seated in a booth with an extra chair as we were five people. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, we were given the menu, water and after giving us time to choose, we ordered for our drinks and appetizers, we had shrimps and tea leaves salad. We ordered lichee Express and Cobra cocktail. We ordered main course, garlic noodles with beef, coconut chicken curry, fried rice and another shrimp dish. The staff served very eloquently one after the other. We ordered tres lichee cake for dessert. The ambience is great, the interiors are cool and modern. I will definitely recommend this place. The price was reasonable for five people. There's a parking lot where you can park and first two hours is free of charge. The garlic noodles tasted so delicious. The coconut chicken curry was similar to Kerala cuisine.
This was surprisingly pleasant. Burmese food feels clean and balanced. I’m not a big fan of the fermented tea although the salad itself is excellent. The food here is done very well. We came again fo their lunch special and loved it.
The bench seating its way too high and hard to eat. Lunch special has vareity of food and selections to choose from. However, dish taste tend to be sweet or too salty. I ordered beef short rib and it was hard to chew so they replace a new one for me and its better. However, its salty but at least it easier to eat the 2nd time.

Our server Camille is very professional. We love the tea leaf salad, khao swe and the lamb kebat.
Burma Love is a nicely decorate restaurant with mostly good food and friendly service. We enjoyed the Tiffin Set Lunch menu, especially chicken curry and chicken kebab. The short-rib curry was a bit gamey for us, almost felt like lamb, but the kitchen confirmed it was beef. The Burmese milk tea was a bit watery (if you're expecting something similar to a creamy Thai Milk Tea). I was a bit surprised to see a 30% large party fee for our family, which consisted of six adults and two children (both under the age of 5). While the service was fine, it didn't take two servers or any additional work to attend to our table.

The front-of-house team provides top-tier service, but the kitchen needs to catch up. We ordered most of the vegetarian menu, and every dish felt underwhelming for the premium price. High expectations, but the food simply didn't deliver.
