We went to the Texas Roadhouse in Citrus Heights, CA to celebrate my husband's birthday. We started off with the deep fried dill pickles. We ordered the bone in ribeye with loaded mashed potatoes and chili and the country fried chicken, sauteed mushrooms and mashed potatoes with white gravy. They sang happy birthday to him and gave him chocolate balls for dessert. To top it off, we ordered strawberry cheesecake and apple pie to go. We had outstanding customer service from Chris, he took care of our every need quickly. Chris was amazing! I highly recommend the Texas Roadhouse in Citrus Heights, CA.

Great service amazing waiter full of energy even told us about the secret menu. You got to have the purple onions with the jalapeño and bacon bomb. I look forward to this meal I strongly recommend is the atmosphere here’s enlightening everybody so happy I’m going, but then again it is Friday strongly recommend this quiz and they’re making a good push at the secret menu. You got a love the mushrooms to.

Omg delicious food!! We were seated within 5 minutes. The person who sat us down came with a basket of bread and butter. So immediately as soon as we sat we could eat fresh, warm bread! We were so busy eating I didn't have a chance to take pics! Hubby did happen to get one pic of the partially eaten Cactus Blossom lol. The waitress came right away. We asked for drinks & a Cactus Blossom. She was back right away with water & my mom's soda. Within minutes she was back with our Cactus Blossom. Shortly after we received the Cactus Blossom, we ordered. We all got salads as one of our sides. They were big salads and they were good!! Tomatoes, croutons, cheese, lettuce & egg! The Blue Cheese dressing was yummy. I would say about 10 minutes or less our entrees were delivered. Hubby & I got steak and BBQ Chicken. Mom got Smothered Chicken. Everything was hot & fresh and so delicious!! We had tons of food! Service was excellent. Everyone was so nice and so friendly. It seemed like the food was flying out of the kitchen. I really can't say enough great things about our experience there!

I absolutely love this place. It's a western vibe, so if you're not a fan of country music, you might not like the music choices 😅 They have several TVs to watch sports, funny videos, or music videos. It makes me think of a log cabin and a Southern home cooked meal. The cocktails are tasty. The food is amazing. I always get steak and some type of vegetables. The broccoli is nice and buttery. The steak is always cooked perfectly, but my biggest recommendation is to ask for garlic butter to dip the steak in. The bread and sweet butter are to die for. The staff are friendly and attentive (at least at the bar). You'll probably have leftovers (I always do), so you'll definitely get your money's worth at this place. You won't have to worry about parking— there's plenty of it. I highly recommend coming here.

Came in here pretty late on a Thursday didn’t realize they closed at 10 PM and our remaining group was coming in around 930. Doug was great very courteous and quick. I enjoyed my food was just a simple grilled shrimp, but the bread with it was really good. Overall good time would recommend and will be back

My wife and I came here for the first time today and had the best experience! It started with the constant excellent service we received from our hostess Amber Lynn. From start to finish this hard working woman made sure that my wife and I had everything we needed and continued to check in throughout the meal. Her friendly smile and great customer service made the night memorable. She had excellent recommendations when it came to menu choices as well. Hats off to the bartender Dante! Not only did he make a week balanced drink it also tasted amazing. I choose a old fashion while my wife chose the mango Margarita. Both were well made and flavors of the chain. The vibe of the restaurant is fun and up lifting with great music playing and sports on multiple monitors. Saving the best for last my final thanks go to the hard working individuals in the kitchen! I may not have gotten any names but all deserve a job week done due to the high level of quality food we received. Literally everything melted in your mouth. The blooming onion, snake bites, steak, French fries and more were among the best food I have ordered in a while. 5 stars all around

I absolutely love the food. My steak is always cooked the way I want and very rarely do you get grisly bits. The salmon and chicken are delicious too. The only side I'm not fond of is the mashed potatoes. The service staff are friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The manager is a great guy. It's always fun to watch and participate when someone has a birthday. The only thing that causes me to not give it 5 stars for atmosphere is the fact that it can get really really noisy, but it's just because I have sensitive hearing. We spend an average of $45 to $50 a person, it all depends on what you get.

Elicianna was our waitress and she went above and beyond to make our special night the most memorable experience ever. My boyfriend and I had our first date here 2 years ago AND ironically, we were seated in the SAME booth! Totally didn't even tell them where we sat! So that started everything off on a great vibe. However, it was our waitress that sealed the deal. She was beyond accommodating. Always checking on us. Celebrated with us (even gave us the birthday treat for our anniversary). She seriously went above and beyond and we are so very thankful for her hospitality and making this a wonderful memory. Elicianna, thanks for making our night so special! For the food, we got the triple appetizers of twisted mozzarella sticks, bbq wings, and the loaded potatoes wedges. (We usually get a cactus blossom, but those lately are just soggy, greasy mess, so we passed this time). The wings were awful (not their fault) just wasn't juicy or tender for boneless wings, and the sauce was just terrible. Now we know not to get those next time. Everything else was outstanding as always. Boyfriend got ribeye and ribs, I got sirloin and ribs. Whoever the cook was, did an outstanding job on the ribs!! Last time I got those they were dry and not much meat. This time, they were juicy, tender and falling off the bone. Much better cook this time (Dec 22, 2025). The rolls are always to die for and our waitress brought them out hot and the cinnamon butter just melted into them 😋 This is one of our favorite locations, so of course we will be back. Hopefully we get Elicianna as a waitress again because she's the epitome of great hospitality. Thank you!!!

Went in on a rainy Wednesday night. Surprised there was a crowd but I used their online "join the wait-list"app. It's a lively place with a great layout. We were seated quickly and the host and servers were great, engaging and attentive. Loved the decor and the bar section had both sports and music videos playing simultaneously, it worked for me. The entrees were great, steaks of course, were cooked to perfection. It was our first time visiting and will be returning again for our annual steak 🥩 dinner.

I have been here plenty of times and received really good service, however this recent experience was far below expectations in regards to service. The young servers frequently crowded the section of the dinning room we were in. The servers blocked me from exiting despite me repeatedly saying “excuse me” and they continued to chat with one-another. My server forgot to bring utensils, and the ketchup bottle we had was empty. None of these things were addressed due to not being checked on, so I got the to-go box myself and left.

I LOVE Texas Roadhouse and was so excited to be living closer to one. However, our experience was less than stellar. First off, the ribs were completely disgusting. I asked the waitress what was wrong with them and she told us that the new law in California about pork has changed them and now they don’t make them in house anymore. She said they get shipped to them and the restaurant just puts bbq sauce on them. I honestly haven’t found any info to confirm this, but she was nice enough to let me get something else to eat because they were inedible. Lastly, when we went to pay the bill, we noticed our bill was switched with the table next to us. Seems whoever set the table up put the wrong screen on the tables. I’m sad because I really was looking forward to going here more often.

We had an table of about 30 people and the atmosphere wasn't cool at all. The food was prepared like it suppose to be. To bunched up to be sitting outside got the orders of food all wrong.

Last Monday I took my family for a nice dinner and I had horrible experience, we sat on table and it took the waiter 30 minutes to get the appetizer and I had to ask and wave my arms to get attention The waiter Dustin came and apologized and said sorry the kitchen is running behind and we are trying our best, after another 25 minutes we got our steak It was cold, dry , thirsty and not looking good at all You will see on pic It was very bad experience and I had to apologise to my family for bringing them at this place

We LOVE this place and like the fresh food and steaks they have! So it’s one of our favorite restaurant and almost every day off, I take my family to get some steaks! Food, front desk and even the manager passing by our table and checking on us! All is great! The only REASON I am giving them 1 Star is because I want the management to pay attention to this very important detail! On Tuesday 02/03 I have my check for $100.73 before tips and it was not very friendly server (Jaqueline) but that is OK! I signed my receipt with $10 tips ONLY but once I checked my credit card statement!! it did draw $123.73 in total! I know it’s not a big issue! But STEALING extra tip from my check is not alright! I will keep coming to enjoy the food and atmosphere and pay more attention to my receipt with you guys! It takes one person always to ruin the whole image and experience of the this store! It’s really pissing me off! Anyways we know who is the server and won’t leave any tips for her next time.

Yesterday was our first time trying Texas Roadhouse based on a recommendation. We joined the waitlist, which showed an estimated wait time of 20–30 minutes. We confirmed with the host that our name was on the list, and he told us to wait for a text message. After waiting about 50 minutes with no message, we went back to the front to check on our status. That’s when we were told that we had never been checked in as “arrived.” We were then told it would be another 20 minutes. After waiting again with no update, I complained, and we were finally moved up to the next available table. However, when we were about to be seated, the table was not cleaned, and we were sent back to the front to wait another 10 minutes. At that point, we were ready to leave, but another employee found us a clean table. Throughout our entire visit, we felt rushed. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the hype. We’ve had better steaks and drinks elsewhere. Based on this experience, we do not plan on returning.
