Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Menu pricing was very reasonable. The food was just very bland no seasoning on anything. The fish, shrimp, vegetables and calamari were all unseasoned, no salt, herbs, nothing. The rice was alittle hard and fish was overcooked.. The coleslaw and ceviche were very good, these were prepared and seasoned well. The fresh lemonade and salsa were delicious.

Good food. A little pricey but that's seafood prices mostly every where. Had the shrimp cocktail and it was very good. The shrimp nachos got me hooked. My wife ordered another appetizer and was very good as well. Daughter got the shrimp Alfredo and same thing, very good. Waiters were awesome and very friendly. I would recommend it if you enjoy seafood.

Maybe I was expecting a lot more from this place, but I was very disappointed. The service was good, our server was very nice and attentive. The food came in a timely manner, the only problem was that the food was very bland. The only item I thought was very tasty, was the soup. I don't think I'll be returning nor can I recommend it. If good service and bland food is for you, then maybe give it a shot, otherwise it'd try another seafood spot.

Less than half our members were there and the servers mentioned that they could only sit us if at least half showed up. It was 4:30pm and the restaurant was pretty empty. They entrees took a little while and they don’t have lemons. The lobster was a little dry. The baked potato only comes with butter unless you ask for sour cream. The dish itself was good. It just wasn’t amazing. Customer service was fine and did the orders correctly. Thanks!

Nice environment but food had no taste. I had the steak and lobster and both were pretty bland. At least the A-1 helped a little. My shrimp cocktail also needed more flavor. I'll try it one more time. Maybe it was just the particular chef that worked that day 🤷

I'm sorry, but the food was straight trash, and I had the worst margarita of my entire life here. The shrimp were overcpoked and rubbery. It would take a lot for me to give them a second chance. Service was pretty good though.

Last time I was here was over 5 years ago and we stopped coming due to a bad experience, so we decided to give it another try. BIG MISTAKE! Service was horrible, server Claudia was rude, no conversation, only came to the table when we flagged her down twice. All plates come with rice and your choice of soup or salad, when I asked if I could also have a salad. She said 'no' I couldn't substitute food items, I didn't ask to substitute anything, I wanted a side salad and I told her I'd pay extra if needed. She walked away saying she'd have to ask her manager. When we got our plates, the food is bland, no flavor at all. The fish was way undercooked. The only part of our meal which was good was the fish soup. When we tried to address the raw fish, she once again rushed away... didn't get a response or solution. Took over 20 minutes to cash out. We paid and left. Most definitely banning this place from our restaurant list.

Have eaten here 2 times now. 1st time service was excellent. My wife and i both had the breaded filete of fish. Food was very good. Now after 2nd visit, service sucked bad. Barely came around to see if everything was ok, or if we needed anything. She only spoke spanish, if my wife was not mexican and I fluent in spanish communication would have been difficult. She did not even understand what sweet tea is. The food. Wife had same breaded filete of fish order, said it was no where near as good as our 1st visit. I decided to see how they did with shrimp. I had thier 15pc sampler. 5 shrimp poblano. Basically 5 boiled shrimp in a tasteless green cream sauce. 5 breaded shrimp. Pretty hard to mess this up. 5 shrimp with garlic. Basically 5 boiled shrimp covered in dried garlic flakes. Quite flavorless. Overall this visit was a major disappointment. Even paying the bill sucked. Waited waited our waitress never came. I had to call another waiter away from his customers and ask him to charge us.

Be careful if you ask for a Dish at Market Price. My daughter asked for King Crab and unfortunately it came out dry. The waitress did a good job, but the wait was long and perhaps they had it under the warmer for a long time. We disputed the price of $79.99 for what she got, but the manager would not provide a discount, we could take an extra half-pound home, but that was not an option for us. The ticket got messed up and we got charged 3 separate times which came out to about a total of $100 more than what we had ordered, including the Market Price dish. I am disputing the extra $100 with my credit card company. Unfortunately this is probably the last time that we will visit Villa Del Mar on Gateway East, El Paso.

Very busy restaurant, I waited for 30min on Sunday nite, not bad. All entrees come with salad and fish soup, food portion is big. Restaurant itself looks very outdated and somehow dirty, not in a neat old fashion way, which makes me concern how the kitchen would look like. Fish fillet is made from tilapia. Ordered a Carnival De mariscos, no way to find octopus and calamari🤡 Overall friendly staff, low quality seafood, not appealing, big portion which can fill up ur stomach
