Absolutely yummy. Everything was perfect from the chips and salsa to the dessert. Our server was a young man, very enthusiastic and FUNNY. Had good laughs and an amazing meal. What was supposed to be a quick bite turned into 2 margaritas and a bunch of everything he recommended. The waiter made me feel so comfortable I even had the tuna, which I’m not big on raw fishes but MAN did this change my opinion. The restaurant is a little small and cramped but honestly very delicious. And the shrimp/fish tacos on Tuesday were just $2 and some change. Can’t beat that. Appreciate the drinks being well dressed and strong.

Little shack has always been tasty, my fav mex seafood in ELP. Cocktail and campechana are my go to. Wife loves shrimp tacos. Only complaint is they only have 1 bathroom.

I wanted a delicious, simple lunch. I decided to pop into Little Shack off Mesa. Parking is minimal, but I found some street parking. It’s literally a cozy shack. They offer a variety of items. They give you complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa is addicting. I asked for a side of guac, a fish taco, and “the shack” taco. The guac was a HUGE bowl! It was only $5 for a huge portion. The tacos were simple yet delicious. It’s a great place. The service is efficient. I want to try the ceviche next time. You cannot beat the price.

They start you off with salsa and chips, which is the best salsa, a little spicy but just perfect. The sparkling lemonade reminds me of the one in Mexico, rarely here do the restaurants get it right so 5 stars to them! Also the steak tacos are on point!! I like to ask for the cilantro salsa on the side to add to them to give them that creamy taste!

Great place! It looks like a hole in the wall but the food is delicious. The shrimp cocktail was our favorite, but the fish tacos were also very good. Just watch out for the salsa and the taco sauce, both were extremely hot/spicy!

Friend treated me to a great meal at your place. I've been craving the ceviché tacos for a while. I enjoy this small restaurant and it seems like it is always a bit shy of full capacity for a reason. Go stop by for a snack with my neighbors.

This place is great for a quick bite, and the prices are not expensive at all. The service was very good as well. We order a shrimp cocktail, shrimp quesadillas and a carne seca clamato and everything tasted excellent. Good size portions too. The parking lot is kind of small and is hard to find an open space. I'm a Realtor and drive all day long. Finding good places like this one helps my budget and for sure will come back whenever I'm near by UTEP.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the tacos were. The shrimp and steak were well-seasoned and flavorful in the fiesta tacos. The pulpo shack tasted good, but I would have liked more octopus. The house tuna tostada didn't taste as good as it looked unfortunately. The service was decent, but our table had large crumbs on the seats and under the table, it took away from the atmosphere. Overall, an above average reasonably priced experience

The food was good, although it’s not longer served wit avocado, but the brownie dessert was a letdown. It tasted like a store bought brownie …hard, dry and crumbly … just inedible and with cheap yellow vanilla ice cream on top. When packaged to go, it was packed in the same container, which made it worse. Most restaurants separate these for a reason. This definitely needs improvement. It was the most disappointing dessert I’ve had. How hard is to mess up brownie with ice cream.

The tacos are average street tacos. The waitress was accomodating but the wait time for our food was way too long. The guacamole was runny and had way too many onions in it, but the hot sauce with the chips was fantastic. It's a smaller location and they do not serve hard alcohol, so the margarita was wine based. Also, they have Pepsi products instead Coca-Cola.

I absolutely love little shack and is one of my go to places, but honestly the one by Georgie dieter is the only one that never disappoints. Not sure if it’s just when the days get crowded but the food was definitely not good on this one. The shrimp tasted like unfrozen shrimp on the aguachiles and even the caldo they’re in was super watery. The campechana cocktail, same experience, tasted super fishy and weird.

I usually love Little Shack, but the UTEP location was honestly awful. It wasn’t even busy when we walked in. There were only two other tables, yet it still took ten minutes just to get chips and salsa… something that shouldn’t have taken more than a minute or two. The servers saw us walk in. One even made eye contact with me, so it’s not like they didn’t notice we were waiting. The worst part was that an employee kept the door propped open with a chair the whole time. Because of that, flies, mosquitos, and a HUGE wasp were hovering around our table. I have a strong allergy to wasps, and it completely ruined my meal. I was so uncomfortable that I asked for the check early, got our food boxed up, and ate in the car instead. Our server forgot our order and our sauce, had to be reminded twice, and still messed up the order for the table next to us. Maybe she was new, but that’s not an excuse. Management shouldn’t leave someone inexperienced on the floor alone. Between the bugs, the open door, and the slow, careless service, this visit was terrible. I love Little Shack, but after this experience I won’t be coming back to this location.
