Best cheese steak in LA and its not even close. I get mine with provolone cheese and fried onions. Plus they have fries, a great ice tea drink selection, Philly sports on the walls and Nirvana playing on the radio (at least when I last walked in). What more could you ask for?

Met Mike in the parking lot last time we were there, stand up dude, was very pleased to hear about our experience (great!) in the store first hand. Seems like he really cares about what customers think and takes customer input into great consideration.

always busy for lunch, even on Saturdays. Love the pastrami sandwiches and the Phillies are just the right amount of cheesey. buffalo chicken strips have great flavor and are made to order. we usually grab a sandwich to go and eat at home.

I come here during my lunch, so far all the sandwiches I've got is good and a 6" sub does the job from chicken parmesan, Philly and hot pastrami can't go wrong

I used to frequent Big Mike's when I worked in El Segundo more than 10 years ago. Great Philly Cheese Steaks back then, STILL great now. Even though Big Mike sold 3 years ago, the same basic menu remains and especially the same cook!! I'll be back ... it's worth the 40 mile drive ... at least for me.

I had the chicken parm sub. It was one of the best subs I've ever had in my life. I could eat my fingers. I also like the atmosphere. I will definitely be back. It was 10/10

Seeing local kids come here is good to see as that you know that you are in a safe area. This is also a great spot of contract workers and hard working types as that the sandwiches are hearty. Great ingredients. Very clean. Everyone was very nice too.

Stopped by on a whim. I love phillies! This place did not disappoint. Got a steak and cheese for me and steak, peppers, onions, and cheese for hubby. Both sandwiches were delish. The fries were yum too, even after being carried out and a 20 minute drive home. Staff was polite and efficient. Too bad I don't live closer, or I'd definitely be back!

Great "comfort food". Their pastrami sandwiches are fantastic. Fries are also tasty as well. Fast service! Parking also good. They have their own lot.

They have Tastykakes! And some pretty darn good cheesesteaks too. I'm not a fan of the fries, but they're decent, just not my style. Good cheesesteaks though, like I remember from my early years growing up in Jersey, just outside of Philly. I'll definitely be back.

I'd recommend mayo (if you like it) as the sandwich can occasionally be just a little dry. But, good flavor and good quantity of ingredients. Salads are also good but, when I go to Mike's, I'm going for a cheesesteak. Hope you find something you want and...enjoy!!!

I will adjust this rating after a few days, but I got sick shortly after eating here so I’m checking to see if anyone else had the same experience. I had turkey and provolone with avocado. This is one of my favorite places.

Where is the cheese on the Philly Cheese steak I ordered? I saw and taste a little cheese on it but it is not a Philly cheese steak. That should be called Philly steak to be honest. I will go to the Philly Cheese Steak Restaurant that I know which is Huntington Beach California. It is a good Philly Steak sandwich.

Lots of people like Big Mike's. It's standard lunch fare. You'll be satisfied with your service. and serving sizes. Portion sizes and quality are good. If you're looking for a bite with a group, most people are likely to find something to be satisfied, or possibly enjoy.

All parties agreed that the place was just 3 stars and overpriced since the sandwiches we're just ok. I had really high expectations and they were not met.

Picked up three large cheese steak sandwiches yesterday and was not aware of an ownership change. Ordered them all the way with extra cheese. What did I get? Basically bread, lots of meat, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. Cheese? Nope. Grilled veggies? Nope. Meat tasted blandc and unseasoned and they obviously disregarded my instructions. Disappointing since my past visits were all awesome. I will go elsewhere.

Fast forward to January 9th 21. Drove all the way over from Mid City L.A. to Big Mike's looking forward to my hot Pastrami Sub Sandwich proceeded back home to open sandwich but it was the wrong sandwich wanted hit like I order. I wanted to take it back but it was after 3pm very disappointed. Only enjoyed my garlic fries. Finished those before transferred from 105 to the 405....lol

They don't list everything in the descriptions on the sandwiches. Or the cook didn't make it according to the menu. It was just ok. Don't think I'd go back. The girl were nice and friendly. Fries were good.

"15 - 20 minutes" turned into 25+ minutes of me waiting for my meal, only for them to suddenly realize it wasn't being prepared yet. Even if I wasn't pressed for time on my lunch break, I would have still asked for a refund anyways. Shame. I was really excited to try.

I was looking forward to this meal because it's been years since I had been because I live further fromit now. First know that the menu online, though it looked to be recently updated does not match what you can order online. I actually wonder if I would've ordered online, what would they have prepared? I ordered the Chicken Mushroom Philly and went home to enjoy with my husband. My son had the Pizza Philly, and my daughter didn't order because the menu there was different than online and there was nothing there she wanted other than a caesar salad. They were unaware that they had a caesar salad on the menu. I got home, the sweet peppers I used to love were bland and the sandwich would send your blood pressure sky high. It was all salt and nothing else. Neither my husband and I could eat our sandwiches and it was just a waste of money. I am disappointed that I drove that far, spent $30, and still was without a meal. I guess things have changed in a few years. I won't be back!

Did the service go down hill? Please train your staff. It was empty and I repeated my order to the girl in the front. Came home to enjoy and everything I requested removed like spicy jalapeños were on it. There was no one else inside. Wow.

Had yet another very bad, experience at Big Mike's. I'M DONE! Italian beef sandwiches are good but the staff is constantly changing, consequently NOT trained. They make huge mistakes & it takes forever even if it's not busy.

The steak sandwich was extramly salty! Very dangerus and unhealthy food, specially for kids! Total score: NOT RECOMMANDED! AVOID!! Here are some pictures I took.

Horrible! I have waited 4 days to hear back from the manager or owner of the place- nothing... so my review stands. This is not a "Philly Cheese Steak"!! Cheese not even melted. Where are the grilled onions and bellpeppers?! I asked for them not one!! And Steak? That is chopped up and sliced up meat- not steak. Call it what it is-. A beef sandwich. TRUTH the real truth! I called them that my sandwich had no bellpeppers or onions grilled and the cheese was not melted at all... This used to be a good place 10 years ago. Now it's cheap. Lettuce and shredded tomato and pickles? Really? It's more like long shredded beef sandwich. Sorry. I'm waiting to hear from the manager. Good luck. It's good if ur just hungry and u dont care between a a real Philly Sandwich and this weird fake one trying to pass itself off as one. So sad. I wish I could get my time and money back. The meat had no flavor either seriously. The chili peppers were idk from a jar or pre-prepared. Horrible! And the kids couldn't even eat their own sandwich because even though I said not hot peppers, it was still slathered in a red spicy chili paste :(

At that point I should've asked for a refund and left but I didn't want to make a scene. My stomach was gurgling after I ate the food too, glad it didn't get worse than that. The food was subpar, they put a weird spice seasoning that tastes funky and is really salty. I'll never go back.
