LOVE this place!!!! My husband and I have come here for our date so many times. I feel every time we go there is something new on the menu. Service is amazing and the plate presentation is fantastic. We like the restaurant atmosphere where they have heaters when it’s cold and the lighting is nice as well. Hands down one of our favorite places to go in Sacramento❤️

My Daughter And I Visited For The Second Time, And It Just Made Me Love This Place Even More. We Set Out To A New Area And Found Ourselves Right Back Here. Coolest Part Is I Totally Have Photos This Time! So We Were Starving By The Time We Walked In. We Got Seated Immediately, Even Though They Were Clearly Busy. We Really Adored The Sweet Service From The Staff, Each And Every One Of Them. So With Hunger Pains We Decided On Extra Food To Share. Oh And Bless Them The Food Came Out So Fast And So Fresh! I Got The Best Western Burger Ever- Big Patty, Crispy Freshly Made Onion Rings, Their Own Signature BBQ Sauce That Was Delicious, Perfectly Cooked Bacon,Nice Cheese, All On An Excellent Made Bun. I Even Got Hot Fresh Fries With The Best Pickle I’ve Ever Had On The Side! My Daughter Got A Plain Burger With Fries, But She Enjoyed It, It Was A Goner. Then We Got A Birria Taco Dinner To Share, Which Came With 3 Large Portion Size Tacos With Excellent Melt In Your Mouth Meat, Great Cheese And The Right Amount Of Veggies. The Birria Sauce Was Especially Essential To Make You LOVE It! You Also Got Fresh Tortilla Chips, Pickled Onions And An Unbelievable Guacamole. They Even Had Very Pretty Looking Dessert, I’m So Sure It Was Exquisite Like Everything Else! We Were So Full And We Had A Lot Left To Take Home. I Was Surprised At How Much Food You Get, Totally Worth The Prices- Which Also Aren’t Too Bad. The Atmosphere Was Not What I Expected, I Thought With It Being So Close To The College And High School It Would Be Full Of Teens, Like The Loud Hangout Spot. I Was So Happy To Be Proven Wrong, Both Times. Very Mixed Crowd, Every Age, Just Wonderful Patrons, With Great Vibes All Around! I Definitely Recommend This Place, It Really Is Fabulous.

Always delicious and fresh! Quick lunch the other day after our house tour and the food was just what we needed. I had the kale and mushroom raviolis and they were perfect in a creamy and surprisingly light Alfredo sauce. Everyone enjoyed their food and, and beware, good sized portions! To go boxes for a couple of us! Yay!

Went on a weekday afternoon for lunch. It wasn’t too busy and was sat outside. The restaurant has a very hip and modern feel. Service was great and restaurant was accommodating when we asked to replace spicy mayo with regular mayo. Had some loaded fries as an appetizer. For the main plate, I had the truffle infusion burger with a side salad. The burger was delicious! Definitely one of the best artisan burgers I’ve had in a while. I didn’t enjoy the salad as much; the dressing was a bit too sour for my taste. Got a cake to share at the end and it was amazing! They source their cakes locally. I thoroughly enjoyed my whole meal and overall experience. Would return!

In a word: Gourmet. This restaurant has the most delicious high end burgers, such as lamb burgers and a variety of hamburgers on the menu. If you are looking for something that is more deluxe and different from traditional American cuisine, this is the perfect place for that. I would highly recommend this restaurant as it has a wide variety of dishes to choose from and the dessert menu is also varied. I highly recommend the different drinks, including wine and the mixed drinks. It is a little pricey, but here you will get what you pay for. Would I return to this restaurant? Yes. Especially, for the gourmet burger.

Local cafe offering breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. Indoor and outdoor seating. Music played while dining is for all cultures. Servers are friendly and the food portions are large! I ordered the pancakes and crispy fried chicken with bacon and potatoes on a weekday around 930am. The pancakes were sweet, even without syrup. The bacon is perfect. The chicken was different. I’ve never seen pancakes served with fried chicken or a fried chicken breast-strip (?? See photos) I asked the waiter for fried potatoes as I did not want the traditional breakfasts potatoes or the hash browns. The fried potatoes were perfect! For my beverage, I ordered their Hershey’s Hot Chocolate with oat milk. It was perfect and kept me warm. We were seated out on the patio and it was chilly even with the heat warmers on the patio. My meal was roughly $35, which isn’t bad for how much food was served (and was able to take some home). The only improvements I can suggest are to lower the music out on the patio, it was hard to have a conversation at times. Also, servers check on the table a little more. Otherwise, I look forward to visiting again.

The atmosphere and menu are great. I had the breakfast burrito and it was very tasty and surprisingly light, with a thin tortilla and flavorful fillings. My companions ordered the salmon Benedict, club sandwich, and shrimp salad, and everyone was very happy with their meals. Service was a bit slow when it came to taking our order and refilling coffee. Luckily, we were enjoying our conversation, but if we had been short on time it could have been frustrating. We were seated in the semi-outdoor covered section with the big doors open, which was perfect for fall — aside from a few pesky flies. The indoor area was too noisy for easy conversation because of the music. The food is a little on the higher end — $28 for a breakfast burrito and coffee before tip — but the quality was excellent. We’ll definitely be back.

Crazy thing is the HOST actions; This big guy comes over hovering the table without saying a word and takes our salt and pepper shakers, we say excuse us, we will be needing them. He said he is the host and was going to give them to another table who needed them, keep in mind there are other vacant tables with salt and pepper shakers and NOBODY is sitting there...WEIRD AND VERY UNCOMFORTABLE...

Meet & Eat is close to the house so often pops up on my searches for places to try. Finally had a chance to stop by for brunch and wasn’t disappointed. They have a pretty nice menu with a mix of traditional and specialty items. I went for something I don’t usually get with the loaded veggie omelet but with a side of bacon. The omelet was excellent with a good mix of mushrooms, onions, garlic, spinach, and tomatoes topped with a sliced avocado. It tasted very good and the bacon added a great savory mix. The portions were generous but will say the coffee was good but sometimes was served warm (not hot) as they were serving from dispensers that may have been out awhile. I’d give them a higher rating but everything was also pricey. My breakfast was a bit over $30, which maybe isn’t eye popping these days but still a lot. Service was excellent but parking at peak times may be a small issue as the lot is small and you’ll need to find spots along the street or the small park. It’s a short walk so not a big deal. Definitely recommend and will return to try some other options.

I've been here three times, and had the same experience, each time. First off, the kitchen staff are incredible! The food has been tasty, comes out relatively quickly, and the portions are quite large (as they should be, for the prices charged). If my review was based solely on the food served here, it would have been a five-star review, easily. Alas, there are other considerations, when dining out. Service is not up to par with the food (nor the prices charged). On two visits, the hostess has led us to a table that *clearly* had food and drink remnants left over from the previous guests, and just walked away. We have either had to get her to return, to clean the area, or do it ourselves (depending on the amount to be dealt with). Unacceptable. The wait staff are hit and miss, but mostly the latter. Takes a while for them to encounter you, initially, and they are not always well versed on the menu items. Finally... the prices. While the food is (as I mentioned) delicious, it is definitely not cheap. However, a bigger complaint pertains to their drink prices. I ordered a margarita, on my latest visit, and it was $17.50 (more than I think I have ever paid for one in my lifetime). The waiter assured me it would be worth the cost. It was not. I've had a better margarita at Chilis (among dozens of other venues). It was served in a small glass, like one would use for sipping whiskey, and was nothing special. Very sad that the overall experience does not live up to the impressive quality of the food itself.

The experience was just okay. The pancakes had a unique flavor that wasn’t quite what I’m used to. The chicken was tasty, but the French toast was average, and the cheese omelet was bland and lacked seasoning. The hot chocolate was basic and didn’t stand out. Service was disappointing—the servers were not attentive, and we had to wait about 10 minutes for our bill while several of them stood around chatting about one of their nails. On the positive side, the atmosphere was charming, with a cute and chill vibe. However, based on the overall experience, this wouldn’t be my first choice for breakfast.

Okay this is one of thoes places you have to stick to what you know on the menu, usually I go for the seafood spaghetti 10/10 . Today I came in and they had some new items on the menu this salmon , broccolini & corn I’m not sure what was going on here the sauce was way too wet I think if it was thicker it would be ok. On Nov 30 about 930am, I ordered pancake with chicken. I received 3 thin 6" diameter pancakes in a perfect stack along with a boxed chicken finger that had been overfried to heartburn level. I asked for them to replace the burnt chicken. In the interim, I ate the flavorless pancakes with no garnish and very salty generic bacon. Several minutes later the staff came out with another overfried chicken finger of exactly the same shape, cooked suspiciously to the same over-doneness....except they had sliced it. Why you would do this I have no idea. I said no thank you and that we were going to pay our bill and leave. The waitress brought the bill over with an extra chicken finger charge....she had not bothered to fix this or to offer a remedy for the meal failure before bringing the bill. As we waited for her to fix this, we watched the remaining staff of 6 who were entirely under-30's laughing and playing at the order pickup station entirely devoid of interest in the customers or running the place. We were informed the owners were Norwegian...if so they were nowhere to be found. See attached photo of my plate with the suspiciously identical (pre-fried?) almost-charred & then inexplicably pre-sliced generic chicken finger they slapped on the side of the pancakes.

My friend and I usually love coming to Meet and Eat for their amazing food and great service, but unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. We decided to try something new for the first time, expecting it to be just as good as our usual dishes. However, both meals came out cold and not up to the restaurant’s usual standards. We let our waitress know, and she was very kind and understanding. She offered to help by checking with her manager to see if we could switch our entrees for something we were familiar with. Instead of the manager coming over, the bartender came to our table. She was dismissive, unhelpful, and told us we couldn’t switch out our meals for something else—even of equal or lesser value. She said if we wanted something different, we’d have to order and pay for both entrees, even though we barely touched the first ones. That response was shocking and felt very unprofessional. It’s also confusing why the bartender, not the manager, handled the situation. We left feeling really disappointed and unheard. It’s unfortunate because we’ve always enjoyed this place, but after this experience, I’m rethinking whether I’ll return.
