Dropped for dinner on a Saturday and the place can feel pretty relaxing and intimate. Staff is super chill and polite. My new favorite vegetarian restaurant.

This place served crazy delicious food. It was my 1st time there. I've been a vegetarian for the past 5 months and it's in my top 5 places to eat clean and non heavy. Martha hooked me & my partner up with a delicious juice drink called Reincarnation after we ate our meal and I felt good all over.I got a photo of it below. They had the smooth jazz playing & I felt good the whole time there.

Really good vegetarian food with large portions. Loved the maha mushrooms, lemongrass tofu and karma rolls as appetizers. The entrees were tasty as well. They have a good selection of smoothies and fresh juices. Highly recommend this place!

Great vegetarian and vegan Vietnamese food! We tried the fried mushroom appetizer and it was crispy and delicious with a good portion. We also had the urban monk bowl (nice sweet sauce and a tender beef substitute) and the supreme noodles (delicious broth packed with protein and veg) - we asked for sriracha and hoisin on the side. Good, fast service - I will definitely be back here to try other items from their extensive menu. It’s pricy but not surprising for the area unfortunately

Best vegetarian restaurant I have ever been to! Everything about it is cool...chill vibe, great food, great service. Waitresses we're cool, food was excellent. This is more of a vegetarian restaurant that has Vietnamese food, rather than a Vietnamese restaurant that is vegetarian. Top notch. Go there! (Casual...8nexpenwive) A++

LEGIT!!! This is hands down one of the best vegan restaurants I've been to. There are only 2 vegetarian dishes (one includes 1 egg and the other is coffee.) There are a lot of rice plates, soups, vermicelli bowls, spring rolls, salads, and starters to choose from. Even if you were a meat eater, you would still have lots of fun choosing a dish and eating it. All of their food is pretty good. I had the treasure roll, karma roll, urban monk bowl, zen yakisoba noodles, patience noodles, supreme noodles, harmonious connection, pineapple lemonade, and fruit stand. All the dishes had a generous amount of toppings, "meat," and carbs. It was very filling. Treasure roll was a simple spring roll with great peanut dipping sauce. Great starter. Karma roll has some mango in it and it also was good, but I liked treasure roll more. The karma roll comes with vegan fish sauce. Urban monk bowl was my favorite savory dish. Very light and refreshing. The soy beef was really tasty. Zen yakisoba noodles were my second favorite dish. Basically they are pan fried thick noodles with mushrooms and "shrimp." It hit the spot for my fast food cravings. Patience noodles tasted like a vegetable broth, but it had a savory depth to it. It was okay but I would try something else next time. Didn't mind eating it but I also love traditional pho and it really can't compare, literally. Supreme noodles were VERY lemongrassy but I like lemongrass so it was okay. Kinda on the sour side. Harmonious connection had a strong coconut milk base and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Awakening of Faith was also pretty dang good. A generous helping of tofu and spy beef mixed with fresh herbs and veggies. The drinks were okay. Definitely preferred pineapple lemonade over fruit stand. Fruit stand was less sugary than anticipated. Be sure to mix your drinks because all the sugar accumulated at the bottom for my pineapple lemonade. They ran out of the drip coffee when we went. Overall, a solid choice. Highly recommend!! They also seem to be one of the only vegan options open in Sac on Mondays.

Hands down the best Vietnamese food I've ever had and it's better than any meat dishes. The pad Thai is scrumptious, the juices so fresh, and amazing spring rolls. Definitely worth going to while in Sacramento for vegans, vegetarians, and meat eaters alike.

Decided to try this place since it was a highly reviewed vegetarian restaurant and was not disappointed. Most of the dishes were actually vegan. Great portion sizes and friendly staff. The most surprising thing were the fries. I personally don't like vegan mozzarella cheese but oof these fries were bomb. I definitely recommend this place to everyone and I hope I can visit again.

We order an entre (okra tempura) and a drink to share (the awakened one which was fine), and a main dish (I got the grill dish with noodles). The food was delicious. It can be a little bland but you can always ask for a sauce. I really like it not too greasy or seasoned. The vegetables were fresh and very tasty.

I recently became vegan to support my sister's choice to be vegan herself, and to benefit from the affects of eating vegan. I have done it before, but with work, college, and 5 kids, it's a challenge! Anyway, my husband and I had a chance to go out so I googled a vegetarian/vegan friendly restaurant. I found Andy Nguyen's. It looked really good and we loved how the founders of the restaurant are Vietnamese refugees, and their kids still keep up the hard work of managing the restaurant! We ate outside, in the back. It was so nice. Even though it was around 100 degrees today, it didn't feel like it in our little oasis. There were huge pots of bamboo encircling the dining area, and oscillating fans with mist spraying to cool off the whole place. There were so many umbrellas to keep the sun off us that it was like a roof. They even had vegetables and herbs growing in pots in a separate section than the dining area. We really enjoyed the entire ambiance. But, most importantly, the food was BOMB! We wanted to try everything! But we decided on Maha mushrooms, patience noodles, fried okra (all 3 pictures I shared), Limitless compassion, Nirvana lemon salad, and the hot chili sauce. We. Were. Blown. Away. We were moaning and groaning with culinary delight. Lol! I very enthusiastically recommended the Maha mushrooms! They are 10x better than fried calamari. So! Freaking! Delicious! Crispy, flavorful crust, chewy, yet soft and spongy inside! They were served with something like mae ploi, a sweet and spicy (but not so spicy) sauce. The fried okra was also very delicious and satisfying. But the lemongrass dipping sauce for it? To die for. I wanted to spread it on everything I put in my mouth! And, I did! I even dipped the Maha mushrooms in it! I am wishing I would have ordered a tub of the sauce to take home. If you don't like okra, just ask for the sauce! I could have bathed in it and been so happy lol! It had perfect ratios of salt, sour, and lemongrass flavors, and something I can't quite pin, ...maybe... sweetness? Whatever it is, I'm going back just for that! The patience pho was so good. I never thought I could have vegan pho and be satisfied. I was wrong. The flavor is almost perfect, just a little spoon of the hottest hot sauce I've had in a long time and it was on point. And, I always thought pho could use more vegetables! There were so many vegetables in the pho that I lost count lol! The Nirvana lemon salad is reminiscent of the southeast Asian raw paper thin sliced steak and lemon salad with tomatoes and onions. I'm not sure the name of it, but I sure do love it. This salad was the perfect replacement. Nothing was missing or left to be desired. There were pieces of sliced "beef" that I couldn't even tell were plant based! Next time I have a chance to go out to eat, vegan or not, I'm RACING to Andy's. Thank you to the wonderful people who left their home in Vietnam and built a wonderful place for people to find happiness in food for generations to come. And, thank you to their children who keep it going.

This place is so cute, we sat outside in the back to enjoy the night air and there were string lights hanging and it was such a nice relaxing vibe. The service was excellent and the food was excellent as well! The best vegetarian food I've ever had! I had the Superior Wisdom plate, we tried the Love of Life soup, the French fries and the fried rice. Every dish was delicious!! We loved everything about this place! Reasonable prices too! Highly recommend!

I am a vegetarian and this food just blew me away. By far the best vegetarian/vegan food I've ever had. I had the most delicious burger; so delicious in fact that I just couldn't believe it wasn't actual meat in it. The taste of the meat is so legit that it made me wonder and worry a bit actually, thinking that it was actual meat that I was having. If you are either vegan or vegetarian, or if you eat all foods, I highly recommend this place. Go try it out and see for yourself.

My husband and I are so happy that we’ve tried this place. It was a slow Wednesday evening so we were able to get the parking spot but it might get harder to find one if its busy. So be prepared. Service was fast enough even though it did pick up for a moment. And here are my reviews about the food. Being born and raised for 18 years in Saigon, Vietnam, I haven’t considered many vegan vietnamese dishes in the US are good. But at Andy Nguyen’s these are wayyyy so good!!! I love those. The spicy mongolian beef tastes like mongolian real beef. The vegan mayo dressing on the salad is so good! My husband said that if no one told him that was vegan beef, he honestly wouldnt be able to tell.

Nice interior, good sevice, and decent food taste. But I'm not a vegetarian, so feel like something is missing for the price lol.

We got a treasure roll, yellow curry, pad thai, and Supreme Noodle Soup. The food was delicious. You have to be patient. They're a little slow to get the food out. They did forget to give me my thai iced tea. I like how around the cash register they have fruit you can purchase to support a local monastery.

Had a late lunch here after a training. The service was great, even though it was a bit busy and there was only 1 waitress. So it took time to get our order in. We ordered tea and never got it. But the food came fast after the order and it took time to get the bill. Everything here is available in vegan and you dont really expect food to taste as good. However the appetizer platter came with an assortment of egg rolls, meats, okra and and a noodle type. Everything had it's own sauce and prepared very well. The beef with broccoli and soup was all very good. Beef with broccoli did not look or taste vegetarian, it was delicious. Soup had a coconut thai flavor and soy meats went very well with everything.. Definitely would come here again:)

Very good food, excellent soups (we probably had the ginger one and the lemongrass one), good service and atmosphere, good prices... recommended to us by a local friend, she was right! * update (with photos)- Certainly the soups are the best part of the food here. The rest is ok. Service was ok, no more (but no less either) Good karma sampler (enlightened mind roll insread of treasure roll) was good- the sona noodles salad was the best of it. Awakening ming chow fun was disappointingly plain and below the level of what we expected *note that in spite of what the menu says, both the universal love lemongrass and the heart sutra are not vegan

As a vegan, I really wanted to love this place, but I think the food is just okay. Nothing about the food stood out as delicious. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, and the service is good. It just doesn't stand out.

We miss our old Chef who offered us delicious flavors in her dishes. First, the first plate was delicious but they don't have eggs and then they change the zen noddles because didn't have that type of noodles, Unfortunately, now they offered us a plate with unseparated noodles, some white and without any flavor, the zen is gone and the stress has arrived 😳.

Shockingly disappointing. Almost made a fuss about not even paying for the 3 dishes which wasn't worth $60. Such high hopes because of their story of the refugee parents from Vietnam opening this restaurant in the 80s. Figured it has to be good if it's open that long right? Nope. No flavor. Not even salty. Which works for restaurants that then focus on super high quality ingredients that naturally have a lot of flavor. Nope. Ingredients have no flavor. Dry. Chewy like they've been sitting there. Especially the maha mushrooms which everyone raves about in reviews. Even the dish we ordered from the exotic flavors or whatever had zero flavor. Not to mention the rice noodles were disgustingly clumped together (which is what happens when you overcook them then let them sit for a while). See image below. Couldn't even eat it. The craziest part is we were STARVING when we got here. So anything should've tasted good. Imagine how nasty it would've been if hadn't been so hungry?
