I went in after a long day of work and boy was I surprised by the quality of service! They had great servers, very attentive and excellent energy. Then the food in combination was also freaking amazing. I'm a SEA person and it definitely was authentic. The skewers had that herbal flavor and texture to them, in addition to the Lao sausage. I'm not a huge papaya salad Laos style fan but my friend said she loved it! I personally enjoy smaller Lao sausage because it allows the skin to be crispier but this one was packed fuller and with a good traditional herb flavor. I'm not a fan of the meatballs as i felt they were missing an extra umph, like a sauce (not the typical sweet chili sauce) but without a sauce it needed something savory from the meatball seasoning. It had a good texture but lacked the savory. I personally enjoyed the loaded fries the best, the shrimp that was deep fried with the fries were perfectly cooked. The shrimp still had a good and firm texture with the outside being super crispy. All and all, definitely a place I'd come back to. Bonus points: They played all kinds of S.E.A. music, bonus points for hearing Hmong music here randomly.
Glad to find this hidden gem. We ordered beef ball skewers, which came with 12 beef balls. They tasted great, very tender and flavorful, especially with the chili oil. Kapoon and papaya salad were delicious too
If you are looking for REAL and delicious Lao food, this is it. I've gone to multiple places from Turlock to Stockton and it's very hard to find a place that can make good papaya salads! I was very satisfied with what I ordered. Everyone has their own taste but this place is worth it in my opinion. There use to be an authentic Lao food location in Ceres called "Sticky Rice" but was closed down and ever since, I was not able to find good Lao food. Came back here 05/05/2025 and the food was still great and consistent to what it was before!
Delicious food, I ordered the chicken laap & the stuffed wings. Both were very good, the spicy beef sour soup is amazing & so flavorful! The chicken skewers were also really good: will be back! Also the wonton with cream cheese are the best I ever had!
This place is soooo good. I keep going back frequently and haven’t tried anything that I didn’t like yet! I’m also vegetarian and I’ve been able to sub tofu for meat in most dishes, or I just order the dish without the meat. The sandwich I got with tofu is perfect. They just made some wontons without the imitation crab, and they’re probably the best tasting cream cheese wontons I’ve ever had! Seasoned and with onion! But hands down, the two most favorite things I have tried are Nam Khao and Kapoon. The soup is perfect, warming and filling when you are hungry. The noodles are insanely soft and it’s spiced just right when we ordered mild heat level. Nam Khao (ordered without sausage) is unlike any other rice dish I’ve ever had and the flavor was amazing. Their drinks are also super refreshing! I had one that tasted like pina colada and it was so great on the hottest day of the summer! I don’t know… I’m a fan! I’d recommend this place to anybody - even vegetarians. :)
A hidden gem 💎. You wouldn't expect to have such a good food option to eat here. Had very delicious option. Everything tasted good and lovely. Workers were nice. Enviornment looked friendly. Everything was delicious, the only thing is that I wished the Laos papaya salad 🥗 would taste a little better. Other than that, everything was yummy 😋
got the kapoon curry soup and the basil stir fry (i forget the name)
I did curbside pick up. My first time visit today. I was at my kids football game and in the heat wanted something yummy and I didn't want fast food so I remembered how I've been wanting to try this spot out. They did not disappoint! I got the crab cream cheese wontons. And a pork sandwich both were soooo good I definitely recommend
This was my first time trying S.E.A. Hut at their 1501 N C St. location. I loved the shrimp skewer, and crab rangoons. The flavor of the shrimp was delectable and very juicy, not dry at all. I will be trying the rest of their menu. Their prices are very affordable, whether ordering a side or a whole meal!
Stopped by after a long day of work and got the Chicken Kao Piek and it was hot and delicious. Would definitely go again. 🤤
Cambodian food is so delicious. There's so much flavor in everything we ordered! We're fans and definitely coming back 😊
I recently had the pleasure of trying the Avocado smoothie at Sea Hut in Elk Grove and it was absolutely delicious! This smoothie is perfect for anyone who loves the creamy goodness of avocados. The texture was thick and creamy, but still easy to drink. The avocado flavor was strong, but not overpowering, and the sweetness was just right. In addition to the amazing smoothie, I have to give a shoutout to Mora Som, the manager at Sea Hut. She is truly an amazing manager who goes above and beyond to make sure her customers are happy. Her attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service really stood out to me. Overall, I highly recommend Sea Hut and their Avocado smoothie. If you're looking for a refreshing and healthy drink option, definitely give it a try. And if you happen to run into Mora Som, you'll know you're in good hands!
I am not from the area and was recommended this place by friends to cater a tray of Nam Khao. I must say I am very impressed! I make Nam Khao at home when I have events but this Nam Khao is amazingly on point. The texture, the amount of Nam susuage, the herbs & vegetables were all balanced. I will definitely return to purchase again. I wish I was closer so that I can order more often. But forsure, when I am nearby, I will not hesitate to stop in.
Great service and great food :) Had their beef skewers and cooked beef laab. I'm not a huge fan of cream cheese wontons but their wontons were very unique and tasty.

Didn't expect to find good southeast Asian food in Elk Grove. But here we are! ordered my favorites: papaya salad (lao style), chicken kapoon, nam khao and tried something new: Cambodian Kreoung soup. Huge servings of food! Def meant to be shared. What the hell is in that Cambodian Sour soup?! Literally ✨the most✨ delicious thing I've eaten this mouth 😱😱 tender, flavorful cubes of beef, beef tendon, and tripe with a semi-thick, savory, slightly sour broth. Paired super well with jasmine rice. Wish I had pictures, but I was too hungry 😅😅 Papaya salad is a 4/5. Great mixture of salty, sweet and spicy. Dank fish sauce for life. Chicken kapoon with bamboo and gizzards. 5/5. Broth has perfect mix of rich, savory, spicy. Home comfort food that hits the spot. Add the house chili oil for a spicy kick. Nam khao was a solid 4/5. Good chunks of nam sausage with seasoned, crispy sticky rice. I wished they gave more green lettuce and mint--i love making wraps. Will be back to try other dishes and order that Cambodian Kreoung
I originally went in for the Cambodian beef skewers, but it was recommended I try the Lao sausage. They are so good! Especially dipped in the Mien sauce 🫰🏻 I can't wait to try more of their dishes! Amazing authentic flavors, friendly service, and they have all my favorites! Definitely going back!
I needed my large food order changed to an earlier time frame and they were able to do it! No issues. Thank you Sea Hut!!
Hands down the best food in town. Everything on the menu is good... best popcorn chicken & nam khao I've ever had.

Cute little place. Decent food. Room for improvement. The drunken noodles were a bit chewy. The taro was way too sweet. The tables need to be rearranged so the walkways between tables don't be right at the hanging lights. We hit the lights a couple times coming in and out of the table. Service is half-serve which means have to order and and pay upfront, but the server did bring our plates, food, and drink to the table. I'm happy with that.
Kapoon and the Sea Fries were excellent! The fried rice salad and the chicken noodle soup were fine. The noodles were a little too soft.
Food was good. Felt a bit over priced for the portion size. Good customer service though.

The worst banh mi I've had in my life and the garlic frys for another $2.50 (not worth the amount of frys I got) that had just a scoop of garlic on them . . . Meh
