The food is of high quality and the presentations are picturesque. The Staff and serving team are so accommodating. We Dine here about 4 to 6 times a month and have worked our way around the menu. —Something for everyone with enough portion size to take home some Awesome left overs.
Food is good. Tamika was a great hostess/waitress/server whatever. The deserts were lack luster wouldnt buy any of them again. Definitely dont get the green apple thing it was very underwhelming, cool presentation, bad flavor/no flavor. The tomahawk steak was delicious. Eat it all! Shrimp, mashed potatoes, candied bacon, mushrooms everything was good. Just not the desert. The table next to us had a lava cake it looked and smelled better.
Went for our anniversary dinner. Great service and the food was very good. Center cut Ribeye, Mary's Farm Chicken, Giant Baked Potato and Roasted Brussel Sprouts. Banana Foster Cheesecake treat for our anniversary.
Our first time at Sky River. Everything was 5 stars-worth every penny. The Alaskan King Crab, the Dry Aged Rib Eye and Wagyu steak were awesome! The cocktails were lovely Will be back for more 😄
A well needed 5 star restaurant in the area, located in front of the new Ski River Casino. With easy access. Reservations are recommended. Great menu items complemented with an amazing wine and cocktail options. Service and atmosphere matching my 5 star rating. Highly recommend.
Went here a short time ago and I had the filet mignon, and I had this truffle for dessert and everything was just outstanding! The service was top notch and the food was even better! I would highly recommend if you want a quiet evening with great food and drinks!. I would definitely go back!.
Celebrated my bday here, lots of fun they sang happy birthday to me,also put bday party favors on table, good adult beverages .high end steak house
My wife and I came here for our anniversary and it was a perfect dinner to say the least! Steaks were amazing as well as the appetizers (crab cakes), and sides (potatoes & Brussels sprouts). Well, Brussels sprouts were okay but everything else was good. Drink were to die for and service was impeccable!!! Yes, it was very expensive but I have no regrets because we had a great time!
If it’s steak you desire then this is a good piece of meat and good drinks .
Lovely staff, lovely recommendations, and lovely food.
I was invited for a wine tasting and dinner event by sky river. The food is very delicious and the wine too. They had beef fillet in one of the course but I told the server that I don’t eat beef so they replaced with chicken. I’m very happy with the dining experience.
Food was delicious 😋 Our server max was very attentive & knowledgeable about the menu & recommended popular food items. Johnathan O. Was also helpful this visit. Employees overall were super nice & attentive. Priced fair considering this is a steakhouse, flavorful & well portioned. Will be coming back! THANK YOU ❣️ - Liz & Stoney
Went there for an anniversary, the staff made sure to recognize this. Our group ordered the seafood tower and bone marrow for appetizers. Seared scallops, porterhouse, NY strip and ribeye for mains with the brussel sprouts and mushrooms for side. Everything was delicious.
Best filet around. Nice selection of salads to choose from. They understand seniors splitting a meal as the portions are generous. The giant stuffed baked potato is a meal in it self unless shared. The only issue was with the bill. I found we were charged for 3 glasses of wine at $33 a glass. After running my card and signing, I noticed the error and mentioned it for which they needed to cancel the first charge and re-do it. I mentioned they should comp a glass of wine for the overcharge and the customer having to notice. The waiter didn’t respond and charged full price. I don’t have an issue with paying for what I ordered. It’s a matter of public relations and bringing customers with their friends back.
The food here is always on point— ribeye steaks cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The servers are great: friendly, fast, and attentive. The only thing that feels a bit awkward or too quiet sometimes. Still, the food and service more than make up for it. Definitely worth checking out!
We have eaten here several times and it’s the best ! Steaks are always delicious and special also good. Fantastic addition to Elk Grove.
Ive been to some of the best steakhouses and resturants in Cali,SR Prime has taken the crown by a land slide. The crab cakes spot on ,the wedge salad perfect, the portorhouse steak with garlic butter and bone marrow.the baked potatoes were dressed at the table to our liking .asparagus and mushrooms side were so spot on it was ridiculously .My wife had the filet mignon and we shared the asparagus and mushrooms along with the bread.now that I addressed the food lets move to the staff. Our server has the greatest smile I've seen in a long time and a commiment to make sure you are taken care of while there was genuine that is not just her job.The hostess called my wife by her name when she stopped by to check on us ,you don't find this now days in the rush of a restaurant.I encorage a visit to SR and look foward to seeing more reviews and experiences and I can't wait to return.
Great food great service well worth the drive
We had a new server named Maximus. He was fantastic. They spent the time actually put confetti on the table that said Happy Anniversary. This place has class. Although we requested Dom as our server, we were informed of his departure from the restaurant and we were actually blessed with Maximus. He was very attentive and had poise. Great job Max!!
Best steakhouse in Sacramento and outstanding service. Max is great in the bar
My husband and I did a redo 25th wedding anniversary dinner here and I wish we had come here, instead of flying to Vegas to go to Hells Kitchen and being disappointed and broke. The ambiance service and food at SR prime steakhouse surpasses everything at Hellskitchen in Vegas! Our waitress was Chelsea and I did not get the waiters name but they both went above and beyond with five star! Even the Manager was pleasant and made a point of letting us know it was for our anniversary! It was so nice to come into a quiet beautifully modeled restaurant and have wonderful food that needs no seasoning!! Thank you all for making my 25 year anniversary dinner a dining experience to remember! We will DEFINITELY RECOMMEND AND COME BACK!!! YEAY!
This steak house is wonderful. We had a celebration of life last weekend for my mom and we took the family to dinner at S R Prime steakhouse. We are always treated like royalty but this dinner everyone went above and beyond to make this such a memorable dinner. I was in tears when Lisa and Isaac our servers, brought out our deserts. the event was so memorable. they set us up in the private dining room. My family came from out of the area and out of state and they all were amazed at the service we were given. The food was excellent.
When it first opened up the steak quality for the price was not good all but made a recent visit for a friends birthday and had a tamohawk steak and I'd have to say it was pretty good.
The experience is worth the price. You are looking at 65 to 165 per steak and the sides are shareable around 10 to 25 per plate. I would say it is a must try. Add porkchops for us poor folks that would still shell out 35 or so. Great service and friendly staff.
Good seafood tower. Steaks were great. Crab cake came out room temperature and was ok. Service was good.
Pricey but very good food. Excellent service and very nice atmosphere considering it is inside the casino.
Came here on a date with my wife. The food was good, the waitress was amazing very cheerful and helpful. Loved the atmosphere
The set up outside was perfect, comfortable chairs, a big screen... and a heater. We went to watch a basketball game and had a great time. Very attentive wait staff. Wasn't impressed with their satay, but the burger looked good.
Come here for a good steak. I had the 18 ounce boneless ribeye. It was good. Everything is à la carte here. All the sides are $10 plus. Good place to come for a special occasion. Celebrating a birthday so they threw in a complementary dessert. Your water glass will NEVER be empty ! LoL Note to management… it’s important to keep your online menu up-to-date. We were disappointed that items on the online menu were not available in the restaurant. Thank you!
Went with a group from work, was a mixed bag. Steaks were amazing, and drinks were good and strong, but the service was a little slow. Also, we had a large group, (with a reservation) so two different tables were required, we asked to be seated next to each other but were told the other table was reserved. The other table remained empty all night, as did the equivalent table on the other side of the divider. Very awkward. For a single family group, or a couple, the atmosphere would be better I think. Be aware it is pricy!
I love to eat, drink, and cook. The service was excellent. However, I needed/wanted more seasoning on the food. The crab cake was excellent. The price point is fairly high. However, I don't mind paying for really good food. To give you an idea of the price point...We spent approximately $248 for a dinner (for two people), plus appetizers and cocktails.
Over priced. Get the steak across the way - same steak at half or more than the steak house.
The service was fair, however at this price point the food should be as well. The food is fairly average and does not live up to an upper end steak house. The new york I ordered lacked flavor, and the clam chowder could have been better. I have had better steaks at medium size chain restaurants.
Group of 6 of us came for an 80th birthday meal - service (Tamika & James) made the night! Sadly, that same can't be said for the ribeye... awfully expensive cut of meat to be served luke warm. The beet salad was good and their baked potato was grand. Disappointed to kill two fruit flies while sitting at the table. All in all, not what I'd expect from "fine dining". Pretty pricey for an unpolished experience.
Drinks are good. Side dishes are giant but the entrees weren’t worth it. Stake is lackluster and the lamb was terrible. Free bread wasn’t even all that.
Food was over priced for what was served. We don’t mind spending the money on good quality food, Sea food tower was not fresh, shrimp tasted like rubber, no flavor. Crab was over cooked. (Scott’s Sea foods tower is way better) and prime rib 1/3 of it was straight fat, rest of it was pretty good. There are no sides with your $60 meal, the sides are an additional cost, and their baked potato was average nothing too fancy… We spend $200 and still not full, their dessert menu does not have cheesecake, the number 1 dessert... I would say all and all 3/5. Not sure we would be back but we wanted to try it out. The service was fantastic, very nice servers. =) They can definitely work on their menu and cooking their foods.
Everything is al la cart. So the $42.00 steak came isolated on the middle of white plate (not even a sauce swirl or a sprig of parsley). If you wanted a salad with your steak that was $14 if you wanted a baked potato that was $10. The cheapest thing on the menu was a pasta dish for $28. It was 3/4 pasta very little vegetables and tons of salt. However, the steak was good prepared as ordered. The service was good and attentive but not overpowering. Use back entrance near steakhouse to avoid the overpowering smoke in the casino that you have to walk through if you go in the front door.
Extremely overrated, over priced and the food was not good. Except the bread. Had a New York steak, asparagus and baked potato they gave us no salt or pepper they spilled our water all over the table. The service is more of a performance from a high school musical. Never again.
Over priced. The food was not special whatsoever. For the price, I expected to be blown away, but was very underwhelmed. The lady at the front was rude and acted like she hated her job. The only good experience there was the waitress and waiters. They were nice and checked on us frequently. Definitely would NOT recommend this place.
Waiter stunk! Took my order and never came back. Waited 20 minutes for tag to check out
The cured salmon gravlax was good, 8 out of 10. The Ora King Salmon was disappointing, 3 out of 10. The sauce tasted like curry, but worse. The Roasted Lamb was expensive and not good at all, 1 out of 10! The sauce was not good, the meat was so tough and hard to chew on!
Overated Steakhouse and expensive for the quality. Hostess was insisent we sit down while ordering drinks at the bar to ensure our reserved table was held. Yet, after we closed the restaurant at no point were there a shortage of availble tables during the evening. Service was average, we ordered several appetizers to share, including salads. We had to ask for salad plates vs. small bread plates and there were no serving utinsels for the appetizers, we were expected to use our own. When asked for serving utensils, we were offered a dinner spoon to dish out salad. For the price point I would drive to Sacramento for a real steakhouse with much better service, or give my business to a local restaurant vs. a corporation that is more concerned with lining their pockets with gambling losses.
We had birthday celebration party of nine. This is not a great steak house. Overpriced like most of these restaurants. Difference is the taste usually makes it worthwhile. Not the case, short ribs were mostly fat, told waiter, response “all of them are like that”. Spend your money at a better establishment
The scallops were under seasoned. The fries were good and the chicken was good. The lobster bisque tasted like the ocean. The salads were great. The service was wonderful all nice people. Excellent service from our server. Drinks were delicious. Nice atmosphere beautiful decor.
Ambience and atmosphere over the top. Every dining area, what is the welcoming and warm and inviting. The waitress seemed not to know information on several items. She was friendly, courteous, but oblivion to the few items they had to offer. I ordered the king salmon, however, when I received it, it seemed to be previously frozen due to the mild flavor, covered in half an inch of mustard to compensate for the tasteless fillet, it was greasy and very flaky as a previous frozen fillet would be. After I remove the mustard and the capers from the fish, it was drenched in caper juice taste more like a pickled caper then mustard rub. I didn’t found out it was just a farmed salmon not how the menu described king salmon, which usually means Alaskan king salmon . I didn’t mind the farmed as so much as it previously has been frozen had too much moisture in it and oil. For the first course I ordered the lobster bisque the presentation was great. They brought me a plate with a crabcake in the middle and some red sauce around the plate, and they poured the lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was flavorless. It tasted more as a puréed, sweet potato, bisque, sweet, not savory, very bland, and did not excite the palate. There was no spice, no lobster flavor. It was just like a sweet potato pie with chicken stock and blended. The salad was crispy and perfect flavor with the goat cheese, the leaf lettuce or Romain lettuce was quite large and look like more like sandwich leaves not designed for salads. The end butter service was presented well, however the crispy lavash was unnecessary. There was no reason why it should’ve been there. Of course lavash is good, but not as a crispy resembles more of a oversize tortilla, The wash would’ve been great if it was soft and fresh served with some hummus, dip, or or olive oil dip. The butter was pleasant, mixing with herbs, perfectly whipped. Although it was a fine steakhouse, the food did not reflect the price. Everything on the menu seemed overpriced and descriptions, or very bland, and no very descriptive. The food was overpriced, and other portions were generous. Presentation was simple and did not in anyway come close to the price. Over priced (food was made was passionless and completely flavorless) I do hope they work on the menu and get more entrées that reflect fine dining pricing with quality and savoring flavors. Every bite should be an experience and I’m afraid this experience was mediocre.
So let me say this the service is amazing and my waitress was awesome. But I had asked for a medium rare filet mignon and it came out way overcooked, no problem it happens and I normally wouldn’t even say anything cause I’m just like that unfortunately. But my brother did for me because he knows I’m a little bit of a shy person and because I don’t want them to think I’m being rude or anything when I wouldn’t ever take a rude tone with someone in the food industry or anything I get it stuff happens ya know and I would never be unnecessary disrespectful to someone for no reason and even though I say that not every person may take it that way so I always get nervous asking for redos even though it is rightfully so. She went in and put in my fix order but since it was so late in the dinner I had asked them to put it in a to go box because everyone else was finished with their dinner. I should of checked before I left it which is my fault, but when I got home it was RAW.. I honestly just felt a little disrespected.. it was most likely not spiteful but to get an over cooked steak and then get one so raw I can’t even eat.. this was my first time in this casino and I took my company here for a Christmas dinner.. I’m glad at least some of my employees had a good turn out dinner but I was very disappointed in the quality of food I received.. I should of just asked for it to be taken off my bill but I wanted to give them a chance but sadly super disappointed and hope they improve in the future. Again service was awesome I couldn’t have asked for a better waitress but food could definitely be improved, especially what you’re paying for it, and the fact that meat cuts don’t come with any sides, really? I mean give a little guys if you’re gonna charge a lot at least be a little reasonable. I’ve been to dawsons and Morton’s steak house and they’ve come with sides at least AND my steak came out perfect. So I’m not one to leave a review in the first place but this was just ridiculous.
Yes, this is a high-level patron here. Sky member take my advice run fast eat run. This place is a dead zone. Their security team is a joke starting with their director. They put out lies about people to the local PD so they can illegally detain you and search you And then for some unknown reason, I’ll ban you there wanna be UFC fight club is getting old the place is not even two years old and it’s completely looks like Sam Francisco inside and out. They’re parking lot is a disaster. They don’t let anybody park correctly in their electric area. This casino should’ve been set up for professionalism instead they need sensitivity training of how to deal with people, but they’re looking at big numbers, but it’s actually could hurt them and just takes one of us to stand up and make a change we The people I will make sure when I go to the other surrounding casinos all the high limit people know what’s going on
I am so disappointed. I was really hoping for a great experience, but sadly it was lackluster. Our server was very graceful and pleasant which was the saving grace. The food was bland, the ribeye was underseasoned and chevy. It wasn't trimmed properly. The wild mushrooms tasted as if they were just plucked from the wild and served to us. The brussel sprouts were inconsistent in regards to the texture. The flavor was ok, but really lacked depth. Our neighboring table commented that her filet just tasted like a big piece of meat. She sent back her cauliflower as well. The theme is lack of flavor, depth, fat, acidity. Sadly, the chef and the entire organization totally missed the mark.
Over priced for cheese and crackers in the steak house. Flavor less hamburger at butcher's ugh 🤮🤮🤢🤢🤮🤮 watse of time and money. Never again!!! If you notice it's the owners that only post them selves in the Google review pictures. If you get sick like I did. Don't say I didn't tell you so.
Unfortunately, if you have any event or regular dinning DO NOT go here. They have a policy for over 21 years of age only! Ridiculously outrages and this WILL spoil your event. They are not respectful of their patrons either. On top of it all they withhold this information off of their social media platforms. Halal steak in a haram setting 👏.
