Haggo's Organic Taco

Haggo’s is a great little spot for fresh organic Mexican food. The menu places a unique spin on classic items, like chicken tacos with zucchini and sweat potato chucks. There’s definitely something for everyone at Haggo’s, and it’s all on the healthier side which makes it even better! Having gone for lunch on a Saturday around 12:30pm, Haggo’s had a steady flow of customers and wonderful service. The overall atmosphere was very enjoyable with a classic beach-style vibe, and majority of the seating was outside.

If you care about eating organic, sustainable food that is also delicious, then you need to eat here. The fish is always fresh and seasonal, and the vegetarian or vegan options are delicious as well. Relaxed vibes and really friendly staff. Great customer service and advice. If you like Mexican food but don't like cilantro they can adjust some orders for you. There is also parking behind the building witch is really convienient.

Had amazing breakfast tacos. Complete with 4 house-made salsas as toppings. And the owner is a sommelier, so there were a bunch of great wine choices. At a TACO place?! So awesome. Can't wait to come back.

You should check out Haggo's Tacos in Encinitas. I was just there, and it's going on my regular list of go-to restaurants when I’m in the area. It's one of those spots that has food for everyone to enjoy. They offer meat, vegan and gluten-free choices, that all can enjoy. They do tacos right, no matter what you're eating. Plus their fresh made guacamole is a nice side to any of their entrees. The seating is what really sets it apart. They have this cool California room-style space that they can open or close depending on your party size. It felt private but still airy. And if you're just grabbing a quick bite solo or with a partner, they have a bar-style counter that faces the street, perfect for people-watching. The food was great, the ambiance was excellent, and the service was on point. Give it a shot next time you're up in that area.

Legit Mexican food. Super clean ingredients. Fresh hot sauces. And...if you like nachos, they make them right. Real cheese, layered under and on top of chips, melted perfectly with cheese on almost every chip - hit this place up! 100% coming back with the family!

Burrito Bowl and added Beef, for extra protein. This is a hefty meal for sure, and can be split between two people or taken home for leftovers! Loved how much food was in this, and the beef and chicken were perfect. I think my only note is I would ask for light beans because there were so many!! Too many for me, they tasted great and I love beans it was just too much for me. I will definitely come back and try their other dishes.

We got the quesadilla and fish tacos. Both were fresh and delicious. The order at the counter service was quick and easy, our food was out in 10 minutes. Loved the mango on the fish tacos and the fish was perfectly seasoned. Also has large drink selection and majority of seating is outdoor. Highly recommend. Great for casual and large group setting.

This place has been on my hit list for a while now. I was finally in the area and im so glad I had the time to stop in. I wanted to originally try the tacos and ceviche, but because I came in the morning I was in the mood for a good breakfast burrito. And they did not disappoint. It was outstanding. My friend loved his torta as well. The woman who took our order was friendly and gave good service. This place is a must try if you are in the area.

AMAZING tacos... The shrimp was our personal favorite but everything was so flavorful. And the fact that so much of their menu is gluten free, including their delicious churros..??? Crazy good! The owner was super attentive, offering a free sample of wine and chatting it up with us. Very cool vibe. LOVED this place and will definitely return!

Life long San Diegan here, this is my favorite fish taco and burrito spot. High quality Mexican food made with the best ingredients. The complementary salsa tray is loaded with great options. The surf and Turf is the best burrito you will ever have. I love that they have gluten free batter and gluten free Duckfoot Beer. I love the laidback atmosphere, great indoor/outdoor dining to take in the full Southern California experience. Also great for kids too. Staff is very friendly.

Best an healthiest tacos and Mexican food in North County! All organic, avocado oil, fresh and delicious every time. My girl and I eat here at least once a week. Highly recommended!

Haggos is the best!!!! We live a few blocks away and it's our go-to for a delicious, healthy meal! Whether we're grabbing a drink and some food on a Friday night or just need something quick to pick up during the week, Haggos is always the move. We rave about how good it is every dang time so now we are raving about it here 😂. We love the Chicken Bowl, Beef Bowl, any of the burritos - and their tortilla soup is SO good too. Highly recommend!

The food is amazing, the service was welcoming and great. The homemade chips and tortillas are bomb. And everything from the fries to the fish tacos, shrimp tacos, fajita meat, etc., it’s ALL GOOD. I highly recommend this spot if you’re passing through 🤙🏼

Our go-to spot for healthy tacos. Not your traditional Mexican food but a solid healthy-twist on the classics. Food is always fresh and we appreciate that they use organic ingredients and are seed-oil free. If you’re looking for seed-oil free food that still tastes and leaves you feeling great, def recommend Haggos!

First time at Haggo’s. Get it line and order your food, then pay and sit down if you can find a place. It is not a typical dinning room by any shape of the matter. Actually it’s not a room at all. Mostly outside with tables scattered around and more than a few bar like counters to sit at. It is not a family friendly, except for the crayons and place mats to color and two boxes of toys to throw around. You get a number and the servers find you by your number. Napkins in dispensers and four sauces served in squeeze bottles are placed on the table.i ordered the Azul burrito with glazed onions. Lots of meat and tasty caramelized onions, I found to be very tasty and tender. For my grandkids, they got rolled up quesadillas with two wedges of orange. Our guacamole came with a minimum amount of chips, but since our main course came with chips, we were able to use those to eat the guacamole. HAGGO’s appears to be a hip place to go. The tortilla wasn't grilled, and everything inside it was cold. It would have been a pretty bland meal if they didn't have five different salsas to choose from. That really took it up to a whole other level. It was fun choosing a different salsa for every bite. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, but it would have been amazing, 5 stars if they had only cooked the burrito, gotten that cheese all melty, and added some seasoning to the sweet potatoes and quinoa. A little more thought and effort goes a long way.

I understand that app developers can be difficult. If it were me, I'd just go DoorDash. All that said, I'm adjusting my review to focus on the food, the place and the owners! OMG, I love Haggo's, their food is amazing and their owners are such kind and genuine folks.. I was so excited to see that they released an app that I could use to place a to-go order. I'm sad to say that their app is a disaster. I spent 30 minutes of my life trying to verify my app with no luck. I should have given up earlier and just called to place my order. I really, really love this restaurant. Their app developer has really let them down. I will continue to support this restaurant and enjoy their food / atmosphere, but whoever developed this app is really detracting from their reputation.
