Always really great. Girl taking our order was extremely helpful and patient with this very senior couple. The food was really good. I have been addicted to What a burger for a long time, 20 plus years maybe 30. Part of my addiction is the tomato slices on the What a burger and last night there were three pretty slices as normal. It was a very satisfying ending to a busy and stressful day.
Friendly fast service. Updated to include 8/30/22 drive through! Order #1 with easy/lite mustard, tomatoes & pickles only. Even corrected the young lady after she repeated my order the 1st time. Got my order and pulled into a spot to get all ready to eat while I was driving. Opened my hamburger. Good thing I did because it had cheese, mayo and lettuce on it! I did not order a cheeseburger and I ask for pickle & tomatoes only and easy mustard! So I went inside to get what I ordered, telling the young lady the same exact of how I had ordered it above. Okay, got back to my car opened the 2nd burger, it had easy mustard, pickle, tomatoes and LETTUCE! Back inside for 3rd attempt and it seems that 3rd time is a charm but now my fries are disgusting as they are now cold! Oh well my burger was correct!!!

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and had a pleasant late lunch. Our Whataburger and boneless wings were just right. The music was background level so conversation was effortless. 10/10 would stop here again.

I actually do not live in the area at all, but when I'm traveling from Denton to Houston or vice versa, I make a point to stop here to grab a burger and fries. They haven't disappointed in the three years I've done this, and that's pretty cool to me. Great customer service, quick delivery of food (hot fries, ot burnt, cold, greasy 🍟). And the restaurant is always clean.
They make their food with love. The chicken biscuits had plenty of sauce and the hash browns were golden brown. The cheese burger was assembled nicely. Thanks Whataburger team!

There is construction in front of Whataburger, but it was so worth the stop after coming in from the Dallas V/A. We were amazed at how clean the restaurant was due to all the construction outside. The service was A+, and the food was super delicious. This is the first Whataburger who actually had their cheese melted in the burger patty. It wasn’t cold and unmelted. Will definitely be back. Thank you for the great service, clean restaurant and great food. And they love the Cowboys.
Exceptional Customer Service! I came through there about 4:00am headed back to Houston coming from Kansas. It was very early in the morning, but Amaia went above and beyond to make sure my food was fresh & to make sure my order was to my satisfaction.
My first experience with this restaurant as they don't have them where I'm from. Very delicious "fast food " . As I wouldn't call it that. It was more like a home BBQ. We stopped in Wednesday night on our way home from DFW airport. It was getting late & we just wanted something in our stomachs. There seemed to be a young crew on duty and they were having a good time cutting up with each other. We were waited on quickly and our food came out pretty quick and it was hot. I ordered the Sweet & Spicy burger not knowing it came with mustard, which I dont like. I went back to the counter & asked if I could get some mayo to spread over the mustard to dull the taste and a young man promptly got some mayo for me. He first offered to make me another, but I told him it wasnt necessary. I dont have anyones name but wanted them to know that we appreciated their service and smiling faces.
Location is very clean Staff was very courteous excellent customer service. Condiments for ball to the table Smiles all all around staff was courteous and only items I took off for was table we sat at wasn't thoroughly clean and my order wasn't entirely correct. For some reason Whataburger has the slowest drive thru on the planet. I waited almost 20 minutes for a medium order of fries. I think I'm done going the these places. The food is not worth the hassle.

Update: took my son again still doing good. Order was correct, hot and fresh. Went and took my son for breakfast on his way home from work, the food was fresh and the lady at the window was friendly. Not much to judge on for a single drive thru visit. Still quick, good and friendly.
Foods good and clean, staff is nice and helpful. It can get pretty busy and crowded once in a while. The bar crowd ends up there late on weekends. Ive always had good experience there.
First time trying whataburger. Tried the cheese jalapenos whataburger meal. The burger is quite large and and juicy and the fries are similar to McD. The soda cup with the meal was massive. Also tried the banana pudding and it was delicious and great for a hot day. Service was good and plenty of seating. Overall it was great fast food.

We went to grab some breakfast. We had the sausage, egg and cheese taquito, biscuits, and gravy (the gravy was watery and had no taste. I am not sure why they have so much trouble with the gravy. I am sure they buy from Sysco Foods. They have a really good black pepper gravy mix. It is so simple to make.Other than that, it was ok.
This location (Ennis) has really gone downhill in the last year or so. The guy up front just stood there looking at me like I was an idiot, didn’t ask to take my order and then finally asked 'Are you waiting on your order?'. I said no, handed him my coupon and said that was what I wanted. He looked at it for about 20 seconds or so and then said 'I don't know how to do this' and then called someone else over. I was then informed that they ha d no carbonated drinks so I'd have to get something else to drink. I'm about to give up on this location, again. It's a shame all the hard work and improvements of the previous manager have now been wasted.
This day was not a good day for Whataburger, actually their employees because they just did not care. They made my order completely wrong and when I called them they didn't care but I won't let it stop me from going back because I love Whataburger. I'll just make sure before I leave then. My order is right versus getting it to go and not checking it until I got home. Normally I have no problems with this Whataburger. I love going there and obviously I love the food. Today was just a bad day for them. I will give them another chance.

Gave us a sweet tea instead of unsweetened. We asked for replacement, which she gave us, but then it got weird. She refused to take the sweet tea back. Went to this Whataburger on the way home from a trip. Went through the drive thru. It took 20 minutes for two number ones. I know Whataburgers take a little while to get orders but 20 minutes is way too long. The fries were not salted. The burgers were fine.

Spent 30-40 mins in the drive through which delayed our trip significantly. Also, once we were at the window it smelled like vomit. It looked like it was full of employees except they just moved extremely slow. Lastly, the hamburger was cold. The only positive was that the French fries were fresh and hot which is why I gave two starts instead of one.
In the drive through line 5 minutes till 11:00 for breakfast. It took them 8 minutes to take orders from the 2 cars in front of us. Tried ordering at 11:03 and could not. Lady at speaker was rude. Perhaps they should hire more help to speed up their drive through service.
Stopped by to grab a taquito with bacon, and a small coffee. It was about 830a so I thought everything would be fresh. It was an app order that I placed about 30 seconds before pulling into the drive thru. Long story short, the coffee was luke warm, I simply asked the young lady to warm it up, she threw it out and brought back what seemed like a cup of coffee grinds, it was dark, bitter and disgusting. The tortilla for the taqiuto was cracked and dried out. I usually don't return items, but I did ,park go inside and ask for my money back. The coffee, the taqiuto I trashed since it was a " free " item that was about to expire as a birthday promo. Not my typical Whataburger experience, but on this occasion, yes.
Set in the drive through for 5 minutes with no acknowledgment. Came inside to order. Employees act like they don’t care. Other employees eating from other restaurants at tables. This isn’t the first time and not the only whataburger with problems. For my favorite fast food, I am extremely disappointed. Management needs to up there game.
The food looked good but nothing tasted quite right. My bun was stale and I don’t think they seasoned the burger. Even worse, I found surprisingly large pieces of bone in my burger. The second time I hit bone, I just threw the rest of my burger away. If you can hold out, find another whataburger or pick another restaurant.

Wait in line for 30 minutes and you expect all of your food. You don't expect that person making your food to complain that the order was too big. I paid for it. And it's nice to see a manager ROLL her eyes because I asked for the food I paid for, that I didn't receive. Needs better management, so the employees will follow lead. Trash.

Ordered a #7 with no onions, extra lettuce, and a vanilla shake on June 16th at 5:06pm. Drive thru employee was so rude. Opened the window, gave me the total, took my card, handed my card back, closed the window, opened the window, and handed me the food. Horrible. I'm not sure why there was 20 min wait for a coffee amd a biscuit. The biscuit and hash browns sticks were waaaayyyy overcooked. I would normally not eat at Whataburger, especially since they are not run the same, but I missed breakfast on my way to Houston.
I’m writing this review as I’m sitting in the drive thru line going on about 15-20 minutes now. I’ve already lost my appetite, just ready to be home after my 36 hour shift. I’ve had the same experience the 3-4 times I’ve been here. Seems to be getting worse. Hopefully I’ll get what I actually ordered this time as well. :(
The longest wait I experienced, there were kids working there who looked like they were not concerned for urgency. One kid dropped what looked line a chicken piece on the flat top outside of the fryer as he was packing a meal box only to place it in the box. Drive through its meant to be speedy and convenient, the time spent waiting for my order was just over 16 mins. I had just hung up a call to place my order so that's what I used to figure out the wait time. Poor management.
Dine-in 10-16-2022 around 8:45am, party of 5. Completely unprepared for a crowd on a weekend where the local track has a nationally sponsored event. Waited 49 minutes at a table for our food. Items were missing, and we were asked to be a little more patient. One member of our group never got their food we paid for while everyone else finished their breakfast. Was not worth waiting in line again to get a refund, so we left and went down the street to a better prepared competitor. Food was ok, staff friendly, but the overall experience is inexcusable, especially when you wait nearly an hour, don't receive your full order, and can't get your money back. I am a patron on Whataburger for over 35 years.

This is the worst Whataburger in Texas. They place looks filthy even after it's been "cleaned." The drive-thru rarely gets the order correct and the employees play around instead of working and they do not care about you or your food.
Waited 30 minutes for two meals and extra fry and Shakes. 4 people after us got their orders. We asked for large got medium. Had to ask for fresh fries and onion ring. I have worked in fast food before. This is unacceptable. And I would have fired at least two people including the manager
Was in the drive through for 50 minutes even though there was only a total of 7 or 8 cars total ahead of me. Wanted to leave the line but unfortunately couldn't. However, after i got to the window, the had the audacity to tell me it will be 10 more minutes. So, i asked for my money back and left. I don't know whats going on there, but they either shot it down or have someone at the drive through telling people how long it will be before getting stuck in that stupid line. The giy behind me just kept driving he didn't even stop at the window
Never leave reviews, but this whataburger was awful with customer service. It took them a half hour to get through three cars in a drive through. No explanation of why when I finally got to the front. No offer to comp the meal. Longest I’ve ever waited in a drive through anywhere and to get no reason or make up attempt is absurd. Manager really should do something, I won’t be back.
This is the example store of why I HATE going to Whataburger. The service is slow, the people are rude, the quality is garbage. Every time I go, it takes more than 30 minutes to get food. This last time, they were out of anything I wanted to drink, the card reader stopped working, the fries were stale and had no salt, and the burger was cold. Some locations don't deserve to stay open - places like this give whole chains a bad name

Came in on our way home and had a bad experience. All of our fries came out cold. Out of 5 sandwiches only one of them actually came out hot. They were also out of ingredients. It wasn’t busy when we went in, and they still messed up our order. If possible I’d give 0 stars.
Service is slow as ever been was in the drive thru for at least 25/30 minutes got drinks when we got to the window wanted an additional 10 minutes and finally askd where my food was and she said we’re still working on it so I got my money back..
I use the app to order online. The last two times I have gone to pick up my food, I waited 20 minutes or so past the time it was supposed to be ready and finally went in to get it. No apology from them, and my order was incomplete. I had to check and ask for the apple pies that were missing. Of course my food was not warm by the time I got it home.

Easily the worst whataburger Ive been too and its not even in the hood. I have had good service there before, so I cant blame the entire staff, but have had various occasions where the people in the drive thru are either incompetent ( wrong order ) or seem like they have a complete attitude. Avoid this location of whataburger at all cost...ordered my food yesterday morning, not busy at all btw, and waited 30 minutes...I go and ask where is the food I ordered, a lady pulls out the tray my food was on and said she was just waiting on fries, there was literally 2 fries already done...I told her to grab the ones beside her or I want my money back..she gave them to me finally. Ordered on mobile app said 15 minutes I waited 30 went in to check they said 4 more minutes after another 10 minutes it finally came out with no straws no syrup for pancakes no extra honey butter I won’t return this isn’t the first time. I figured I give them a second chance last time we ordered kids chicken strips got home and they had put an empty chicken strip sleeve in the bag…. I understand forgetting the strips all together but putting an empty sleeve in the bag is unacceptable.

Extremely poor experience which seems to be a commonality for customers at this location. I stopped here during a road trip and my encounter ended up delaying me for a whole hour and some change. I pulled into the drive thru which had just a single lane and it took an extremely long time to get to the place to order. I asked for a breakfast bowl and specified that I didn’t want cheese or gravy. A couple minutes later, I received my food and while I’d been delayed about 20 minutes at this point, I was happy to just drive off and eat my food on the rest of the drive. I opened the bowl and was about to begin eating after getting back on the interstate but noticed my breakfast bowl was full of cheese and gravy so I looped around. I returned to the drive thru to find just as long a line as I did the first time, and it moved just as slow. I then respectfully made my complaint and was told my order would be made correctly this time. I was offered the option for an alternative menu item but requested to have what I initially ordered instead. I was told it would be a 6 minute wait and was asked to park in a curbside pickup spot. I then started taking care of a couple random to-do list items as I waited. But after what felt like a really long time, I felt like I had to go into the store. The person I spoke to at the counter expressed no visible reaction to me explaining my ordeal (I now understand that this is due to the overall ineptitude at this location). He then goes to speak to someone who appeared to be a manager and you can tell that was only the first time they began working on my order. He comes back to let me know that she would take care of it, to which I ask what had been going on with my order the whole time I was ‘waiting 6 minutes’. He then claims that the oven takes a while to come on, which simply makes no sense. After all, I was offered the opportunity to select a different menu item and upon declining, was told it would only be a 6 minute wait. Had anyone mentioned that the oven needed to heat up (again), I’d have opted for something quicker. A couple minutes later, the ‘manager’ comes and hands me the food somewhat cheerfully saying “here you go, it’s all fresh”. Okay? Why would the food be anything other than fresh anyway? At no point did anyone apologize for the error that was made or actually provide a semblance of a reasonable explanation. But I guess receiving ‘fresh food’ an hour after pulling into the drive thru makes this all go away?
I was charged on my card n cash. The burgers n fries were cold The onion rings was hot. The lady at the drive through said my card delinked. It only took off 5.00. Im loke no it’s $ on my card. So I paid with cash. Then my statement said my card went through. Now I’m gone to go get my $ back. The mgr said bring proof? I have all the proof. I want go back there. I will cook at home. Smdh
Waited 30-40 minutes in the drive-through with only two cars in front of us. All that time, we get to the window, and they forgot our onion rings. Should have checked the rest but our ETA home was almost 1AM at that point, so we didn't. We then realized the part they "forgot" was actually because they gave us the entirely wrong order. Hope the person behind us enjoyed ours, smh. I'm vegetarian so I couldn't eat the wrong order they gave us. Quite frustrating.
Me and my siblings went in at 3 am, I travel and I have never ate food nastier than that at any location ever. We ordered the cashier was very helpful and respectful however I ordered a milkshake and then after I completed the transaction was informed their machine was down. I substituted for a large drink no big deal I’m flexible. Then our food comes out I ordered a breakfast bowl that had barely any gravy, I went up and asked for more and he informed me I was shorted because they were making a new batch and brought a little cup to my table but it wasn’t even hot so I’m not sure how fresh it was. The fries were all cold and stale completely unsalted worst fries I have ever ate in my life. Then my little sisters burger had hair in it. I did go up at the end with our tray of picked over food, and told him all of our concerns and the manager responded “gotcha” . No what can I do to fix the situation, no I’m sorry just “gotcha”. We ended up going next door and getting jack in the box so I had to buy breakfast twice. I will never go to that location again. This experience has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.
I waited 20 mins in the line wanting Whataburger. There was 1 car in front of us. We ordered a large #13 with barbecue sauce. And a #1 just the burger with cheese. When we got home we had 2 tenders as well as no barbecue sauce. I specifically made sure that my order was correct once repeated back. This is disappointing,I work at a fast food and we always make sure to get orders right or overcompensate for any inconvenience. The lady was so rude as well when taking the order and at the window.
Im confused at people reviewing last 5 days when this location has been temporarily closed
Ordered $37 worth of food at 5:23 and had to leave at 5:40 empty handed with hungry kids because they were nowhere close to having anything ready. No toilet paper in ladies restroom, this location obviously has issues.
Very poor service skills, never been to such a rude whataburger in all my life. The lady night manager was very unprofessional, nasty to us for no reason. If you hate your job go find a new one. Taking it out on customers because you wanna be lazy and joke around with the staff like a child instead of actually getting your backed up line moving is insane. I've worked fast food, I know how it is and this was embarrassing to the whataburger establishment. Awful customer service. Never coming back to ennis whataburger. Upper management should be ashamed they allow this store to be run this way.
I waited in the drive through for 40 minutes. Not exaggerating. I ordered through the app and selected to pick it up in the drive through before I got there. Got in line at 10:17 pm and didn’t get my order until 10:57 pm.
Unfortunately being understaffed and the staff not being super speedy has lead to obnoxious wait times. Expect to wait in line inside or out for at least 30 plus minutes. When it’s not slow it’s good but unfortunately the slowness is awful.
Does matter how you order you’ll be waiting all night long. Service sucks they just ignore you. A guy sat down because the lady kept walking past and not even acknowledging him. 0/5 stars also would like to add I ordered ahead on the app for curbside and ended up coming in after waiting for 15 mins and now I’ve been waiting for another 15 inside …. Still no food and the man is still waiting to order ..
If I could rate zeros I would. When we got there the cashier was arguing with another employee, when they were done the cashier acted like it was a hassle to wait on us. She had me repeat my order 3 times and my food was still wrong. When I asked for mustard and pickles it was like I was asking for the moon and they were rude about me asking when they messed my burger up from the start. All the employees were playing around with 2 of the managers sitting in dinning room letting all this happen. Very rude and unprofessional. I'm very disappointed.
I'm giving 1 Star just because this time they actually gave me the order right🤷♀️🙄 but i had 2 burgers and one spicy chicken sandwich and they were all burned!!! We though, oh it's not too bad, but every bite taste burned!! We threw them away!! I live far from town so i wasn't going to waste my time and gas.
Probably the worst service I have ever gotten from a Whataburger. I waited 30 minutes to place my order and almost an hour to get my food. All I ordered was chicken strips and a burger. When I finally got my food my burger was so over cooked it was hard and it wasn't even hot. When the person working the drive thru hand me my food she practically threw it at me and closed the window in my face. I had to open it back up to ask for ketchup.
It is my Birthday and ordered through the app. They use Doordash to deliver. They do. I do not select it. It says Whataburger. Today my order arrived after being the 3rd maybe 4th stop. I am not sure. But the driver sat at HEB fro close to 10 minutes. Then at an apartment complex for close to the same time. FInally here the driver looked like he was smoking crack, acted like it too with the smoke rolling out of the car. He did not say a word as he slid the bag to me with his jaw moving back & forth. The corner of the bag was pulled up. Close to half the fries were missing. There was no straw. Door dash is no help. The manager on the phone at Whataburger was no help, rude and there is nothing we can do to help you. Your problem is with doordash. No it is not. It is up to you to make it right. I ordered delivery through you, not them. I am not coming up there to get anything. You failed on your end. Again. I ordered through you and this is really crappy customer service. I am done with this location. $40 to have a $20 meal delivered. That in itself is outrageous and for it to be a problem I am basically told to go get screwed. Had to leave after standing in line inside for over 40 minutes after being told, "we had to stop taking orders for drive through" multiple other people had been waiting for their food after ordering for over 40 minutes. Had to leave because there was still no end in sight. By far one of the worst fast food experiences ever. Not even a manager to apologize or try to take responsibility. Witnessed over 15 people walk in and leave.
I waited in line for an hour just to be charged for the wrong order. On top of that, when we finally got home to eat with the correct order I realized they gave me a burger patty for smaller size and just the bun for the normal size. Not to mention the entire burger looked like they had just smashed their fist down onto it. I get getting busy and accidents happening, but there is no way they didn’t realize they had the wrong patty size for the burger. They just chose not to fix it. Waste of time and money.
