So I'm from Indiana where we have many DQ's I been in California a little bit over a year now Inside by visiting the chase on El Norte Boulevard that I would go ahead and check out the Dairy Queen over here service was fast courteous about lunch time let's say about 12:15 afternoon. Staff was friendly courteous place was clean and my food was out very quickly got the 6 Buck lunch impressed by the amount of food quality was good too that's what fast-food burgers were not smashed cheese curds were hot and fresh so it was definitely worth the stop 5 star for staff and speed.

I came in to buy an ice cream cake and was politely greeted by the manager/shift leader named Dan. He even came around the counter to help me in my selection and he offered to go in the back freezer to search for a cake for me. I also ordered a soft cone. Overall it was a very pleasant experience which I attribute to Dan and his positive team and I will return again.

Who ever closed on Monday august 22nd 2022 deserves a raise. Everybody that closed was so nice!!! The drive thru line was to the door and at 9:05 they still took our order, no one had an attitude so nice!! Thank you to that closing crew we didn’t get our stuff till almost 9:30 we felt so bad because y’all were closed but thank you for still taking our order and serving us with a friendly attitude :)

The staff was great, friendly and attentive. They made sure the tables and soda machine area was clean and maintained. They delivered the meal to my seat instead of having me get up and they greeted me in and out of their facility. A GREAT Dairy Queen compared to the ones I've been to.

The assistant manager who served us was very friendly, efficient, and nice. They promptly served us food and corrected a mistake on the order quickly and with a smile. Ice cream was delicious, and burgers served looked so tasty and good! I appreciate the high quality of the burgers served here.

Sarah is super friendly and always has a smile on her face when we come in. The food is amazing, the restaurant is clean and the service is impeccable! We will definitely be returning every weekend for our favorite treat's. Thanks DQ you nailed it again!! We visit this location on a weekly basis for the sweet treats and amazing customer service, this DQ is the best around! I recommend 10 out of 10

I went through the drive thru. The gentleman that helped us was very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious!! Fresh and great quality ingredients.

So many of my childhood memories include a visit with my family to dairy queen. I'm 61 years old and I still love a treat from Dairy Queen. Thank goodness we have a great one here in Econdido. The food is always hot and delicious and the treats are always cold and refreshing.

They're blizzards are amazing there's nothing to say besides that because to be honest I mean that's what they're known for and great for but they're hot foods are all right just I'm not for it and I'm rather on those blizzards because they are delicious

It's been over a year since I've been here and I went to a Dairy Queen in the eastern United States and it blew this one away however this time they have redeemed himself my burger was great nice and thick cooked perfectly nice and juicy my French fries were good the service was excellent with a young kid be great friendly couldn't ask for more keep up the good work

Standard drive in store.... But the ice cream is fantastic! We get mostly the blizzards. You can mix and match flavors... Such as get an M&M's with a fudge core, or chocolate cone dip with pecans, or ... And their standard offerings are amply good. Try the whole menu on the cold side. For us, it's worth driving someplace else for burgers.

I was undecided between having a regular cone, a hot fudge Sunday or a cookie dough blizzard so I got a hot fudge Sunday and asked if they could add cookie dough not it and they said “no problem!” The woman who took my order was very nice, I paid through the drive through and didn’t wait very long at all! Totally awesome dinning experience. Have not been at a DQ for years. My wife wanted a Blizzard so I googled DQ and was totally excited to find a Full on DQ Restaurant and that is was near our new house. Totally stoked. We were so pleased with the Customer service, the menu selection, the Restaurant ambience and of course the Blizzards. We also totally enjoyed the DQ Cheeseburger KC , the BBQ sauce is amazing. The customer service was crazy amazing, great people! We have a new favorite.

After my last 2 visitsi have notices a decline in service and what you get for your Money This last time ordered my Banana split and no one made it for over 20 mins then i asked about it and they made it .I wasn't to happy for 11 dollars it sure looked kind of cheep a third of a banna 2 scoops of soft serve some whipped cream tea spoon of hot fudge one strawberrysliced in to 4 peace's. Just seems cheep .

The politeness and smiles abound at this Dairy Queen on El Norte. My wife enjoys her chocolate sundae, and I enjoy the soft serve swirl ice cream on a cone. Oh, our grand daughters also like Grandma's sundae.

It's a pretty good dairy Queen if you haven't been it's a great dairy Queen. Atmosphere is a little muted but great food and service, especially for a fast food joint

Burgers were pretty good, fries were meh, sodas were sodas....however the blizzards were INCREDIBLE!!! So overall DQ was very average, but the deliciousness of my medium brownie dough brought that rating up to 4 stars real quick!!!

I love the blue raspberry arctic breeze icy. If you are brave the sriracha burger is very tasty. The only thing I don't like is they kind of throw the French fries in the box instead of in a fry bag.

Food was great. Order person, when we asked to clarify if it was 5 or 6 buzzards ordered, he insisted 3 times he said 5, not 6 as we all heard in the car. Just say ooh sorry yes 5 weather you think you are right or not.

We enjoyed the icecream, the lady that took our order was really nice so good service. Just wish we would have had more time to actually enjoy the banana split more bit we were in a hurry.

Hey, I've just about given up on all fast food burger joint's EXCEPT IN & OUT! They rule in my opinion. However, I was at the bank in the same shopping center as Dairy Queen and many years ago in a small high desert town we had one and I use to love it. Well, the burger was good but I should have got the deluxe w/ lettuce & 🍅, and I had to try the cheese curds & they were good. Not Wisconsin truck stop dinner good, but good enough.

The blizzards are good. Actually all of their ice cream stuff is pretty good. Their french fries are good. Not much of a fan of their burgers unfortunately.

I love DQ and this location is very good. Food is very yummy, and blizzards are top notch. (Updated: took away a star after they raised their prices so much. Their regular fry has the same calorie count as jack in the box's small fry but costs $0.60 more than Jack's small fry. DQ's reg fry is a tiny little container for $3. It costs our family $10-15 more to go to DQ than it did before, so we won't be able to go anymore. A shame really).

Dairy Queen is always a popular spot, evident by the long lines at the drive-through and equally busy scene inside. Despite the wait, the restaurant maintains a high level of cleanliness, which is commendable. It's clear the staff works hard, perhaps a bit too hard, as they hustle to serve each customer with a smile. If you're patient, your reward is their consistently delicious treats and meals that make the wait worthwhile. A visit to Dairy Queen is a good choice for those willing to spare a few extra minutes.

I mainly go to dairy Queen for the blizzard. I had the strawberry cheesecake blizzard and it was great. I had a chilli dog and it was ok.

I have not been here in decades but it was co-located with a venue I was playing at. I was pleasantly surprised. The Burger was tasty and different taste than competitors and the fry's were good too. However for fast food $20+ dollars for 2 people was more than I would expect to pay. The staff was nice and the atmosphere was fine and clean.

We ordered 2 blizzards the Carmel cheese cake and chocolate chunk brownie. Both were very good. They did not tip either one upside down. And sign.in window said only 1 will be tipped upside down in the drive through. When I mentioned neither one was tipped she just laughed and me and said sorry. Then walked away from the window. Also before I got through the end of the driveway they were melting Like crazy. But did still taste good.

So we go here all the time. Love me a blizzard. The kids that work here are usually really good. They actually say please and thank you. But it's often a longer than usual wait in the drive thru line. Not sure why? Employees aren't just standing around. But I think the food is made pretty fresh so it takes longer.

I don't order food here, only ice cream, which is a B+. I come here for the convenient drive-thru, but it is forced into a tight space, so be very careful that you don't scratch your wheels on the curb. I placed an order through the app, but when I arrived they didn't begin making it until I was at the pickup window and even head to ask what my order was. They also didn't place covers on the blizzards, which should be provided a standard with to-go orders, especially at the drive-thru.

Been ordering the banana split blizzard for decades....they aren't always consistent but understandably so. Not sure it's REAL ice cream but not sure I want to know either. 😄 Prices are fair and lower than other ice cream chains in the area

The service here really needs to improve. I was almost charged for the wrong order and staff were complaining over lack of spoons and one staff even started cussing while I waited on my order. The ice cream itself was great!

Food is awesome only if they didn't take so long making the orders. Drive thru is always packed people actually leave. Had to wait 11 mins to pick up for door dash.

For as much as I paid for a small ice cream is ridiculous and especially the fact that it wasn't even that much ice cream to begin with to pay that much I won't be going back anytime soon.

This time in 2 weeks and they are out of ice cream, food, or machines aren't working. Tried to get a Mister Slush yesterday and the machine was not working. 2 days before our of hot dogs. 1 week before no ice cream. Hopefully they'll step up their game as summer rolls on.

It took so long in line, we finally chose to go to VONS and buy a couple of pints of ice cream and pieces of cake rather than continue to wait.

Really bummed the drive through closes at 9:00pm now. We loved going through after my kids baseball practice for a treat on the way home. Blizzards still 🔥 tho

Ordered a zero gravity and it was good but the quality that was out into it was bad. The blizzard was not blended all the way. The bottom 4th was just vanilla ice cream. There where only cookies on the top half. The black coloring was on placed in top and bot mixed in at all. Just poor attention to detail. I pay 5 dollars for a small cup of ice cream the detail should be right.

Hamburger was awesome and the ice cream was great! But the fries.... Taste like, ...well nothing. ...Absolutely no flavor. Anyway I would go here again

So the blizzard was good ..but the service. Ya.. the kids working there were more into their conversation then helping the guest in front of them. The car In front of me had one blizzard and was at the window almost 5 minutes. I get it they were having a good time..but maybe wait until between customers 🤔

Delicious blizards. We stopped by here for some blizzards on Saturday after lunch. Parking is no problem. The place is kind of run down looking and feeling. Customer service was great. Very friendly and helpful and busy. The blizards were really good. I wanted animal cookie, but they were out. We ordered new York cheesecake, peach cobler and brownie blast. They were all very good. Slightly runny but not bad. I think next time we will get them to go. The inside feel and customers were not the most comfortable environment to enjoy an ice cream.

Love the Blizzards, but they need to stay open longer than 8:30 Sun - Thurs and 9:30 on Fri/Sat. Always a line at that time of night, so no reason not to be open longer. Also, they turn away customers even before their posted closing time. They need to stay open until 10 pm every night!

We went to get the $6 chicken strip meal with a drink and an ice cream sundae at 5pm and we were refused with an excuse it was only available from 11am to 4pm! We were served the same meal at 9pm in Utah just last week! Very disappointing after a long days work so we left to eat somewhere else.

Good service, Nick was helpful. Desserts were great until...dun, dun, dun...we noticed the blizzard machine was reused repeatedly without rinsing/cleaning in between uses....holy listeria Batman! Unless we are at the Non-Dairy Queen, attention needs to be paid to this.

Well let's begin with the customer service, the cashier never said how can I help, never said hi, welcome to Dairy Queen, she simply said ,are u ready to order. Sorry I'm such inconvenience, the parfait was substandard, not even close to what the picture on their menue looks like, the table were full of crumbs, a transient came in and sat a table across from us and went to sleep, I felt bad for him, but I don't think I'll be back to this place, the workers seem to be tired and grumpy.

I know theyre known for blizzards but damn fries were more cold than warm and the veggies were damn near frozen on my burger could have looked past it if it was just the onions but took a second bite and wouldn't you know the tomatoes were the same like trying to bite into ice cream I can still feel the chill go down my spine people were cool though customer service on point just check to see if u got a frost burger with a side of glacial fries

For the last 6 months or more every time I've come to dairy Queen my chicken is old and cold and right fries are cold and kind of hard not crunchy like french fries should be. And today I spent over $30 I should have gotten fresh made food not food that was made this morning. I don't think I'll be going back there anytime soon.

Food was very good. I drive and eat a lot. The box the food came in was very deep and hard to eat out of. The burger looks like it was built in the box and half the ingredients of the burger was in the box not on the burger. Additionally the burger was not in any kind of wrapper to keep the food from falling out while eating. There were no napkins provided in the bag or box. Overall impression is they could be doing things a lot better.

Honestly ridiculous service! I went through the drive through and ordered 6 blizzards -- when I pulled up the guy only flipped one. The rest were a melted mess! He refused to give me another cup holder stating that they could only give one (insert eye roll). And then he wouldn't even tell me which blizzard was which! Was incredibly disappointing and will likely not be back to this location.

This used to be our favorite Dairy Queen for their quality of "ice cream". Tonight was the 2nd time it was like ice milk. For $8 my daughter's banana split had hardly any toppings. What a waste of money. Can't go back anymore. 🤮

We got to the drive thru at 9:45PM and all lights were off inside and outside. You said the inside closes at 10pm and drive thru closes at 10:30pm. Please change this online if the hours are not accurate.

I just left DQ I won't be going there anymore missed lead I wanted a cupfacion summer berry they tried to give me a blizzard for 6.98.plus taxes and I told her that's not what I ordered she gave me my money for it and then she tells me they don't have it because they have no cake kind of fun they make there own cake. WOW not impressed.

I love dairy queen, but the the Escondido store is just bad. I called first to make sure they had the drumstick blizzard, employee stated yes. Drove all the way there, waited in long line to be told no they didn't. This is the flavor of june and today is the last day of month. I asked if they were carrying the flavor over, since they got the supplies so late in the month, didn't answer the question. Male child manager stated we're out we're out period. It will be a long time before I return.

On Saturday, May 25, I ordered some chicken strips and the oil was too old, where they fried the chicken and fries, everything tasted bitter🤢 They should check the ingredients they use to prepare the meals because I felt like I was just wasting my money on something I didn't even consume.

I went in with my family today and was spoken to rudely by Gerardo. His badge reads asst manager. After reading the previous comments of bad reviews I see this Dairy Queen needs some employee intervention. Gerardo shame on you for your poor professionalism. Aiden ended up helping us. He was polite but when I asked for the owners card or phone number he said he didn’t know it. You work for an establishment and don’t know who your boss is. Sounds fishy to me. My husband asked for the code to the bathroom. Gerardo hurriedly walked away saying the code is on the receipt. We didn’t have a receipt cause we hadn’t yet ordered anything. Then he came back to the register and yelled out the code. And said something under his breath to my face. I asked him to repeat himself. He wouldn’t. He went rambling on to say the bathrooms are blocked off,the woman’s restroom is closed. Sounded to me like he was fumbling his words to back track his previous rudeness.

I waited along time drive thru 20 minutes. There was only two cars in front of me. Rude, non caring employees when I was there last. Food was so horrible that it made be veryyyy sick. When I started to feel sick to my stomach I threw it all out including the disgusting tasting tea! I have not gone back since and plan to never return.

To be fair, these all seemed like teenagers on their first job out of high school, so at least they are working. Employees had no idea how to use the DQ gift card I gave them. Service took forever in the drive-through. I received a wrong burger. Just a frustrating experience overall. I should have just gone somewhere else.

When you wait forever in drive thru only to be told the grill isn’t opened. A sign would have been nice. Then I get handed a messy sundae with napkins wrapped all around it and it spilling out the sides while I am in the drive thru so no where to clean up. The worst service by far at this location. 7:30PM on 5/22/2020. Never had this issue at this location before but clearly service is being sacrificed.

My mother and I come from San Diego to this location. We waited in a huge line starting at 6PM, just to be told the grill was closed. Just ended up ordering ONE blizzard, once we got to the window we KINDLY asked why the grill was closed, and it took only 3 people to give us an answer. Never experienced attitude and lack of enthusiasm from ordering up until leaving, from this location. The people working really made this DQ’s rating go from a 5 to a 1.

I was very disappointed to pull up on the evening of the 4th of July with 7 people and find the doors locked 20 mins prior to closing. Everyone wants ice cream after fireworks! No reason to close early... no signs posted... just workers inside not wanting to let anyone come in to the store. We won’t be going to this Dairy Queen again. Recommend going to a place that deserves your business. My friends and family will stick with Freddy’s from now on.

Me and my mother went here today (3/18/23) at 11:00. We ordered the super snack for $6 with a burger and a sundae, a large cone twist, and pretzel sticks. The cone rim was broken and missing, the super snack burger was cold and undercooked, and there was only one sliver of a pickle. The sundae had peanut skins throughout it and was messily prepared. The pretzel sticks had no queso ready and they wanted us to wait another 10 minutes just to get queso. We are very unsatisfied with their service at this location.

Edit: just tried to go through the drive through and they were closed at 9:30 even though they advertise that they're open until 10. Terrible restaurant and staff! 3 stars to 1 star. Evey time we go here they take forever to prepare a simple meal. This last time we went, they served us our ice cream first and by the time they gave us our hot food, I had finished my cone and my friend's sundae was mostly melted. And it was at 7 at night so it wasn't even hot out! Get your act together, DQ!

Today I ordered 2 $7 chicken strip meals. Upgraded 1 to Blizzard. Ordered both drinks No Ice. Received 1 drink w/ice - ok.. Didn't get Blizzard. Called, "Manager" told me I had to come in tomorrow, nothing extra for my 12 mile trip or my 40 minute drive. Refused to upsize or do anything to make it right. Told me to bring back all the food and he would refund my money. I can dig out the nasty fries from the trash. Not first time this DQ has done this. The Owner's answer to all poor reviews is "We are sorry. We hope you will try us again." No wonder Customer Service is so poor. I already gave them several chances. I will go back to Vista the h/w owners are much nicer.

I just watched the cook touch raw hamburgers and not wash his hands. All I can hope is that we don't get sick. When our order was ready, there was only four pieces of chicken in the six piece box. Your employees are undertrained and overworked.

This place Is very unprofessional the staff is rude and hard to work with. They gave such a bad attitude if you don’t like ur job then find another one. There are many places hiring right now. Why do you participate in the app if you do not let your customers use the promotions in the app??? You switch and bait on your prices compared to the app. I understand that this is a privately owned Dairy Queen but if the owners do not care about how their employees are treating their customers you will not be in business very long. Went to Dairy Queen on Escondido and was very disappointed. I usually get blizzards from there and have no problem but today Taylor who stated she was the shift lead created what looks like pure vanilla ice cream lightly flavored. When I called Taylor and tried to convey my disappointment she refused to do anything and stated she made them according to recipe. It was definitely not a turtle pecan cluster. My whole family had the same type of service. If this is how they're going to make their product I can take my business elsewhere.

Online and on the door says it closes at 10:30pm. Went through the drive thru at 9:45 and they told us that they were closing and not taking anymore orders.. Change your hours on the door and online if you aren’t gonna stay open until the time you’re supposed to.

Tried to order a burger, they were "out of patties but a shipment was coming tomorrow". Ordered chicken. Out of BBQ sauce. Womens bathroom was broken. Every table was dirty. They gave us unbuttered toasted wonderbread. It is difficult to get me to want to leave a review good OR bad. Do not give this place your business.

So sick of the service here. They don’t honor corporate promotions and pricing, and it takes FOREVER to receive drive thru pickup. I waited 15 minutes in your line without moving, plus more. By the time I finally got up to the window ( now almost 20 minutes past my online pickup time) my food was cold, I was PISSED, and your fake smile sorries from staff really iced that angry cake. Thank you for making the decision to never order here again so easy. This location in Escondido, CA needs to run its business better. 👎🏻

Where to even start? Over 5 drive through trips in a month I had my ranch spilled in my bag, missing Texas Toast on a strip basket order, and a missing burger from a burger combo. I call the store and no answer, I call corporate who promises I'll hear back from the store (I don't.) I go into the store and am harassed by the manager about why it took me so long to complain like I'm lying about what happened. Finally I redeem a point reward for a 10" cake in the app. I arrive in the store and am told that they only have 8" cakes and that they cannot refund my points. Instead I'm offered a 15% discount on a future 8" cake am given an 8" cake on the day. An 8 inch circle is 50 inches. A 10 inch circle is 78. Do not go to this store if you intend to pick up a mobile order, and check everything you get before you leave.

Food used to be good I know most come for ice cream but no exceptions if that’s what you’re selling & advertising, need new staff badly if you can’t prep simple foods to make sure it’s not frozen in the middle or burnt.

I haven’t been to Dairy Queen since my grandfathers passing, it was our Friday ritual. I was super excited to try the NEW Caramel Java Chip blizzard as advertised inside the store. To my very depressing surprise your store discontinued it because it was only a “seasonal” dessert. Come to find out the flavor was available in August of 2024, we are in March of 2025! I am highly disappointed in the lack of updates made to the store, it’s unfortunate a place that once held such fond memories has now been tainted by this small but key mistake.

Poor service, not enough people to work. Waited 10 minutes for staff to look at me and the others to see who was going to wait on us. So I left. If you don't mind waiting for a while, go to Dairy Queen.

My first and last time eating at a DQ! Not only did service suck but I feel cheated out of what was supposed to be a first time deal! To top it off i had to go back because they forgot 2 items and when I went back in my hot fudge sundae had been in the fridge. @DairyQueen FAIL. We ordered a large, custom, gluten free Blizzard cake for a birthday two and a half days before the party, leaving a phone number for questions. The cake was delivered with a cookie filling (not gluten free), without the custom ingredients requested and unsuitable for the birthday guests. Turns out that the cake maker decided not to make the cake and no one called to ask questions or warn us in advance. Big disappointment!

Two Banana Split blizzards. As you could see one is missing ingredients obviously and is not filled to the top. The other one has bananas so big it's taking half of the cup. The ones with bananas was not served upside down. We mentioned this to the attendant he gave us a dirty look and walked away and whispered something to his coworker. Besides the restaurant is filthy . I won't be returning anytime soon...

Accessibility: they have a drive thru, wheelchair accessible parking directly in front of the building, a ramp to get up to the building, pull doors to open, and a wheelchair accessible men's and women's bathroom (see photos). Experience: I came in and was immediately disappointed. I came just for the $8 Meal deal, but apparently this store puts a time limit on that, 11AM to 4PM. The other DQ I go to normally (in Oceanside), does not have a time frame on that, so I was very disappointed. I had to settle for another meal that does not come with a drink or ice cream, buying everything separately. When I went to sit down, every single table was dirty. I had to wipe the table and seats down myself with napkins. Also, the only trash can they had was full (see photos). Definitely feeling disappointed and not planning to come back to this DQ.
