Great food, the best chicken salad 🥗

Wow the ladies here really give it their all. I was in there this evening at 6:30 p.m. and whoever was running the drive-thru window did a phenomenal job she was kind enunciated her words perfectly and was very sociable when I got to the window if I could give 10 Stars I would.

Great chicken and tostada salads, I also love the avocado salsa. They also have good family deals, currently they have an 8 pc chicken meal with quesadillas and 2 large sides for $20.

I like this pollo loco. They take my order quickly and the food is great. Love the sauce. The staff is very friendly.

I drive through here regularly and the service & food have always been exceptional. Delicious menu items & wonderful staff.

This location is so much better than the mira mesa one which was very ghetto and dirty all over the parking lot. I needed a big catering size order for an office event and everything was correct and they included extra sauce and utensils. Highly recommend!

To be honest, we are crazy over this place. We get take out at least twice a week and the food is amazing and the staff is super friendly. The Double Chicken Tostada is excellent as are the Enchiladas. I love the spicy avocado salsa...hot but not overwhelming. Prices have gone up but where can you get a salad loaded with chicken and all the fixings for $8? You can get the salad with only a single serving of chicken for a dollar less, just as good but with less chicken. All the food here remains top quality.

I haven't had El Pollo Loco food in quite sometime b/c I don't live near one. It just happened to be lunch, there was an El Pollo Loco and I was curious b/c of the TV ads. I decided to give it a try and it turned out to be good all around. The gal who took my order was very pleasant and kind. The food (for being fast food) was very good. I'd go back again.

The person taking our order was super sweet, attentive and very patient. I was so happy with her I wanted to give her a tip and a hug! Can't because of covid but she should get a raise. She was so sweet and my orders are usually a little challenging so I truly appreciated her help and patience. Thanks for having great employees

This food is the best fast food value in the area. The dinning room attendant is very efficient. She keep all areas clean and tidy. I'm always very satisfied with the food. Portions are more than adequate. I'm a regular customer.

Love El Pollo Loco. Healthy fresh food. I only eat fish and chicken so those is a great go to place. Some are a little better than others but all give you a good meal. The one on El Norte Parkway Escondido and the Scripps Poway Parkway we really GREAT.

Friendly people at the drive thru. Pretty standard fare for EPL if you like them you'll like this place. Drive thru is a bit odd, no good for a high clearance vehicle if that is you. Churros FTW.

Get the chick avo burrito! So good. Everthing adds up here. Gets pricey, and after we had bacon and shrimp to 2 burritos, we pay $20! Geezuz! They have coupons we get in the mail that we take advantage of as well. The family combo is good but for a normal size family which has the order being picked up and made larger which in turn, the bill becomes larger. I dont think ive ever been inside but been here a million times in the drive thru. I will say, one of the ladies has the storngest accents, anf ordering can be a huge pain asking,"What?? Huh? What was that? Im sorry??" Over and over. Shes super nice though and makes sur the order and specifics are correct. The pollo is yum

Some of the chicken in my burrito tasted like charcoal. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, just disappointing.

The chicken is good, the sides are ok, but the corn tortillas are not good at all, and it's kind of pricey for the amount of food you get.

These morons ask you what kind of Salas do you want 3 times and forget to put it in your bag. You must always check your soda before you leave. Several times now I had to return tell them to change their co2 tank on the soda machine. These knot heads will cluelessly server flat drinks for hours endless some one tells them. Terrible speaker in the drive thru. Difficult to order in the drive thru as they have only one menu sign. Lines tend to be long. This could Be shorten if they had a second menu to look at while waiting.

Food is mid. They serve you the smallest piece of chicken in the world with the most amount of fat.

One of the best options in escondido but that bar is pretty low. The food is generally pretty good, the chicken if anything is overcooked which is good in this town. People here can't be bothered to give a sh** most times and i've been food poisoned by lazy food prep many times in esco.

The enchiladas were ok. It was nice that they were just meat, cheese, and sauce. The enchilada would open easily, meaning losing the filling while trying to get it in my mouth.

For some reason locations do differ in flavor. Not sure why but the do. This one is on the less flavor group. Also drive through is very tight. Even for a small car.

Got our order backwards and was not really putting us as costumer service as first. Felt frustrated with the response. Food was good, like all El pollo loco places, but not the right order.

I bought a double chicken tostada and a keto burrito unfortunately the keto burrito fell apart on me and most of the burrito fell on my floorboard but the tostada was great it had plenty of avocado this time.

They eliminated the Mexican caesar salad $5 bowl. I tried the original salad bowl, but it was too much beans and rice and NO lettuce. I'm disappointed. Please bring back SALAD bowls with lettuce!

Very disgusting burrito, majority of chicken inside was tough overcooked chicken skin with two chunks of cartilage and a few actual pieces of chicken meat, they should definitely train the cooks better on what NOT to put in a burrito

This establishment is a joke. I ordered the tostada salad and got the chicken salad. I told them they gave me the wrong item. The lady told me that is what you ordered. Sooo, the next time I read from the menu, the ultimate chicken bowl. This time I got something else! When I told the guy at the window, he actually told me next time just ask for the tostada salad! So which is it? I told him I ordered exactly what the menu reads. He said yeah but the employees get confused. Ugh!

Chicken - burnt Potatoes - powdered Broccoli - raw Churros - grease flavored & stail Bean side dish - mostly colored water. Don't even bother with the coupons the food is overall sub par and not worth it.

I WAS TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED IN TONIGHT'S MEAL. I ORDERED A CHICKEN MANGO AVOCADO SALAD AND THERE WAS NOT A SINGLE PIECE OF MANGO IN IT. THE SALAD WAS WILTED AND UNAPPETIZING. HOW WOULD A PERSON KNOW THAT THE ORDER WAS WRONG UNLESS IT WAS REPEATED AT THE WINDOW? iT IS IN A BAG. ALSO, THE WINDOW DELIVERY PERSON DID NOT COUNT MY MONEY. I GAVE HER TOO MUCH AND HAD TO ASK FOR A DOLLAR REFUND.

Okay, normally we love El Pollo Loco and the food was good, not great, here. The issue was the service...or more like the lack there of. By far the worst service ever at an El Pollo Loco, and in the top 5 for fast food. If I am being kind, it took over 35 minutes to get our food. If my VERY patient husband hadn't gone to ask I'm confident we would still be waiting. :( It was quiet as a church while we waited, with at least 6 employees behind the counter, including a manager, who, like his employees moved at the pace of a sloth with no concern or urgency to help the customers in the dining room. Not a single order was called in the 55 minutes we were there. Several upset customers, I think I only heard one "sorry about the wait". The food was good, we had a bowl and a tostada, (a real complex order!) The tostada shell wasn't crunchy. I suspect our food was sitting on the counter for a while. It seemed as someone was making the food, but no one delivering it. The manager was more focused on chopping chicken than running the restaurant. Epic fail, won't be back to this location.

I ordered through the drive thru as I normally do. When I get to the window I have my phone scanned and I hand the cashier, Ulyses L., a $20 bill and 25 cents, he snatched it so fast the 25 cents dropped. I said twice I gave you 25cents. He ignored me and slammed the drawer. Then when he went to give me my change I told him again and he said “well, I don’t need it” and I said well I wanted you to give me a full dollar back that’s why I gave it to you. And then he snatched it, gave me change and said “here! Here’s your dollar” then I heard him quietly call me the “n” word and slammed the window in my face. I was literally in shock! Then he filled my drink and gave it to me with soda spilling down the side then slammed the window then handed me my food then slammed the window. Extremely inappropriate and offensive. He seems like he has bipolar disorder or some other mental illness.

I had the spice nachos and quite honestly they were terrible, the chicken I had was so dry I couldn't swallow it you and taco bell serve the same quality of food and your employees were constantly applying. The food at alberto's or Robert's is way better and more authentic

No salsa at the salsa bar, told the guy it was empty and he said he'd refill it. Got my food to go and asked him for another bag. Told him i was taking my food to go and he just stood there.... When i told him the salsa bar was still empty, it was then when he went and got what i wanted but my work crew wad leaving. I do not blame him he was polite and nice.i totally blame management for poor training and not keeping on top of things it wasn't busy inside at all.

I asked about the drink and the woman there (she sounded different from the person that took the order and her demeanor was very unfriendly compared to the person taking the order) told me it doesn't come with a drink. I asked what she meant and told her that I had ordered a combo and had specifically discussed the drink. She told me I didn't pay for a combo and I told her OK, but I ordered a combo. So she asked me what drink I wanted and she shoved it at me and then turned her back. I asked her if there was anything else that came with the combo and she shouted at me "You didn't pay for the combo." I said, I understand, but I ORDERED the combo and she shoved a bag of chips in my face and said "Here, take it." At no time was my paying an additional amount at issue. I would have made up the difference between a la carte and the combo if requested. I just wanted the combo, which is what I ordered. To top it all off, when I got back to my office, I discovered that I had the wrong dressing even though the dressing choice is clearly listed on the receipt (the combo is not, so it is correct that I did not pay for one). Throughout this interaction, the employee was rude and hostile. I ordered the combo (which I know because we had a full on discussion of the drink I wanted) and that's what I wanted. I would have happily paid for it as I anticipated paying for it when I ordered it. Mistakes get made, which is fine. But it was handled completely inappropriately after the fact. I hope she is not a manager. If she is, she is losing this location business. I won't be back.

For something labeled a chicken burrito, I expected way more protein. Not sure if this was a one-time mistake or how they usually make it, but it definitely wasn’t worth the price.
