Tip: Everything is homemade, including the tortillas and chips. Be sure to try the house-made salsas. They use cabbage instead of lettuce.

The food was fresh & so delicious. The portion were fantastic! The service was friendly. Please go & enjoy.
Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had. Everything is house made and it shows the level of care they have for their food. The tortillas and tortilla chips are great and so are the house made salsas. I’ve had the chicken mole and the layered enchiladas which were both extremely flavorful and delicious. They have a great drink list as well with fairly priced margaritas and tequila selection. Definitely a spot to frequent and not look anywhere else for great Mexican.
Absolutely amazing experience here. We’re in town visiting and decided to stop here for lunch. Service was excellent, space was clean, and we got our food super quick. I ordered the enchilada ranchera with chicken and oh my god, absolutely PHENOMENAL! The rice and beans were 10/10 too! Super tasty dishes that aren’t made with processed ingredients; everything is made in house and sourced locally.
Solid, great value! Probably eating lunch here again tomorrow!! Wonderful family atmosphere! Plus check out the pictures a dispenser for verde salsa💃, some people know how to live!!
Sooo good! They make their own tortillas, tortilla chips and other delicious food!!! Everything was just sooo good! Definitely worth stopping in if you enjoy yummy Mexican food. You won't be disappointed.
Hands down the BEST Mexican food in Humboldt County. Fresh ingredients, perfect blend of spices and super friendly staff. Oh and the bathrooms were immaculate.
I can’t begin to describe the experience of my tastebuds! Ay dios mio!!!! Hands down THE best Mexican food I’ve ever had. You can taste the LOVE in every dish and see the smiling faces of those in the kitchen. Homemade EVERYTHING including the tortillas that taste the way home feels. You will leave with a full belly ( possibly a popped button on your jeans) and a happy feeling. The photo below was the chili relleno burrito. I ate everything else too fast to take pictures 🫣
Chicken Mole Enchiladas ( off menu order) Fried Ground beef Emanada (ala carte menu)
O.M.G! Loved eating here!! The salsa is amazing! The chips were great! I had fajitas cuz I was lazy and the homemade tortillas reminded me of New Mexico! Soo good!! Service was excellent and we left full!! Totally recommend!!

Best Mexican restaurant in the area. Always delicious!
Hands down the best authentic Mexican food I've had. It was amazing with local ingredients and hand made shells. The staff are amazing!
Best jalapeño poppers! And amazing service. The food is the only Mexican food in town that is light and tasty no oily taste like some have. Highly recommend!
Best Mexican restaurant in Humboldt! Super fresh ingredients, the nicest staff & a very welcoming atmosphere. We frequent this place often & have never been disappointed. Highly recommend the Chile rellenos. We love this place!
Simple family run authentic Mexican food. Fast friendly service, no frills good food! Passing thru town inroute to our next campspot and this was an excellent choice for dinner. Easy access and parking right on the 101.
This is one of the very few restaurants open in Eureka after 9pm. The staff was friendly even though we showed up 15 minutes before closing time. We ordered to go instead of opting to dine in, but two parties (4+ each) came in 3-5 minutes after us and they seemed fine letting them dine in, so that may be something normal for them. Meals are a bit on the pricier side of the scale and seem to average $15/meal. The good was delicious though, you're able to choose vegetables and meats for most of the entrees instead of each item having a fixed list of ingredients. My taco salad was piled high with vegetables and had a tasty base of rice, beans, and small chunks of potato. TLDR; restaurant staff is totally cool with you showing up near closing time, food is a bit expensive but delicious, and it's open past 9.
This is the best Mexican food my husband and I have had in Humboldt County. The service is was amazing. Everyone working seemed to be part of a family, they were so nice and prompt. And did I mention the food was the best. We had jalapeño poppers that were out of this world, carne asada plate that was killer (the flavor of the meat was the best), a burrito and flan for dessert, also great!! Highly recommend this place. They also had a Dia de los Muerte table that was beautiful.
One of my favorite Mexican places here. The service is almost always quick and the food is so delicious. Try the Jalapeno Poppers they are amazing but sometimes can be very very spicy.
Loved the vibe of this family run restaurant. The staff is super friendly and the food tastes amazing! There's great customization options for vegetarians too. All in all, would highly recommend
O.M.G. So let's just admit it... A lot of restaurants in Humboldt disappoint. Pachangas does NOT. Everything my family or I have ever ordered has been high quality, flavorful, and generously-sized portions. My personal favorite is the sampler (pro-tip: add mushrooms to the quesodilla) because you get a little bit of everything. The cheese sauce that comes with it is absolutely divine. No matter how full the restaurant gets I have never waited long for my food. The chips and guacamole are ALWAYS fresh, which I am very picky about. Anyways, I can't say enough good things about this place. Family feel, impecably clean, and reasonably priced. The best!
Chicken salad was fresh and delicious. Giant tortillas made fresh on-site. Frijoles de la olla were cooked delicately with cilantro and onion and were just right. The dining room and restrooms were well maintained and very clean.
Hands down the best Mexican food in Eureka, if not the county. Do yourself a favor and order the burrito ranchero. Prices are a dollar or two higher than what you’d expect but the ingredients they use are always top notch fresh.
Belim and her family and crew are the best Mexican food cooks, with my favorite (two day meal) being the burrito rellano. My husband loves the layered enchiladas, and he also loves when I offer him dinner from there as he does all the cooking at home. Calling in a to-go dinner is perfect as we live 15 minutes away and the food is just done as I walk in. Highly recommend Pachanga!
We called aheas 10 minutes for a party of 12, arrived, and they already had a table reasy for us! The service was excellent and the food was to die for. We had 4 different checks and they nailed it. A+ to this fine establishment.
The food was delicious. The service was prompt and speedy.
Went in for the first time today for lunch didn't disappoint and our server was great and very on it
Met the owners and their family a couple years back on a scary flight into Arcata. Been eating here ever since. The best fajitas in Humboldt, no others come close.
Consistently good food and the nicest people you’ll ever meet. The cabbage salsa is a high point. Everything is well seasoned and delicious.
My all time favorite restaurant . Thank you for the amazing food and service. I love that they always treat us like family. Don't forget to try the homemade Poppers
Always a lovely experience here with the awesome ladies who are running the place 🫶🏼💓
I love the chicken soft tacos. The homemade corn tortilla is soft but does not fall apart, the meat is juicy, tender and full of flavor.
Everything is homemade including sauces and tortillas! The food is amazing, some of the best Mexican food I've had. The staff is friendly, had great recommendations and I believe it is family owned. Would recommend!!!
Best Mexican in Humboldt hands down! Clean and often locally sourced ingredients. BEST jalapeno poppers I've ever had. Super staff! I can't say enough good things about Pachanga. We don't eat Mexican anywhere else!
Yum Yum Yum. Vegetarian friendly, veggies cooked to perfection. Friendly service (Oliver!). Loved it. Large portions. They let my Gramps get the child's portion. Most the rest of us split ours, making it more like $5-$7/person.
The best hommade tortillas! Excellent service, plenty of great food and nice location is easy to find. Smaller parking lot, but lots of room inside! Family owned for a long time and they always take care of you :)
Walked in the door and didn't stop stride to wait to be seated. We were ushered directly to a table as it was being cleaned. The bus boy departed and our server was already setting the table as we arrived. Flawless execution of expedited table service. Waters were constantly refilled, chips replenished and check promptly given. FOOD WAS BETTER THAN THE SERVICE, IF THAT'S POSSIBLE!
Organic and made fresh daily. The Burrito Ranchero looked incredible but I got the chicken flautas instead. They were excellent! The best I've ever had, seriously, and I know good Mexican food. Presentation was beautiful and added to the meal. A MUST TRY restaurant!
Never a disappointment. Belem and staff are wonderful people. Food is excellent. Lots of quality vegetarian options. Been my son's favorite place for the last 14 years.
Delicious authentic Mexican fare served quickly by servers as spicy as their salsa (let's hope you like ascerbic humor). The enchilada, Mexican pizza, chimichanga, fajitas, grande tostada, sopes, and taco salad are all absolutely delicious, though the tables will constrict your legs if sat two to a side, no doubt to make sure guests don't linger. They have fresh pico and hot salsa, both tasty, and they serve soft drinks in comically large tumblers.
Absolute best Mexican restaurant I've ever had the pleasure of eating at - family restaurant and sometimes 3 generations at the place at one time, so lovely! Great hospitality and phenomenal food - thank you !!
Fantastic food and great staff. Took the time to explain all of the difference authentic dishes and drinks. And because we were on our motorcycles and wanted one of the Mexican drinks to go she was able to give it to us in a mason jar. Fantastic service highly recommend if I live closer I would eat here all the time.
Love them. Authentic with lots of homemade items, like the salsa's that are wonderful! I never would have thought to stop here if I didn't mix something up and go by mistake, and what a great mistake it was. It's now my number one Mexican spot in Eureka, with lots of veggie/vegan options, great portions and prices. Super cool margarita options. Owner's are friendly and helpful.
Travel trailers and large vehicles can easily negotiate. Other streets allow easy access to the parking lot with a trailer spot, and street parking. Food is consistently great which makes exploring everything on the menu easy. Staff are very nice. This gem has only gotten better over the years. Let's hope that stays. 1/19/21 outdoor seating now with heaters and cover. They continue making this better. Food is on point, still, which is a lot to say for other restaurants in the area. No comparison they're great!
Amazing food, Amazing Service! My wife and I found this place walking near our hotel in Eureka. So glad we went in. We had the street tacos and Mexican Pizza, everything was delicious. Margaritas were so good. Definitely recommend, who knew great mexican food in Eureka?! Thank You Pachanga!
Great food, great service, great experience! My family will definitely be dining again soon!
Cannot say enough good things, stopped in while driving through town and was super happy. All the comments about the quality of ingredients are spot on. Fresh salsas, and a fresh pepper in my chile relleno. I tried the 'whole beans' instead of fried on my platter on their recommendation and was not disappointed, so good.
Amazing food & Service! I ordered a lunch for 15 for our staff a few days in advance & it was hot, amazingly fresh & so so so tasty. Our staff had more than enough for lunch and dinner. Payment was quick and easy, they even had someone help put all the food in my car. Thank you so much, we can't wait to have your food again.
Good service, excellent food, vegetarian and vegan friendly. Tofu! They have tofu! No big puddles of oily melted cheese here; the health-conscious owners have replaced grease with flavor. They roast their own chilies, and make all their own sauces and tortillas. Their burritos are huge; I eat half and save the rest for lunch.
Stopped here on our drive back from the Redwoods and this place did not disappoint! We didn't have the best food experience in Klamath and Crescent City so this made up for it. We ordered a shrimp enchilada and quesadilla. Both were delicious and the portion size was generous! Very filling and super satisfied! We ordered an extra two quesadillas to go for home! Customer service was wonderful! Two sweet ladies taking care of the customers. If you come here please take time to read the front of their menus. They take pride in their fresh ingredients and don't use animal products in their rice or beans which we appreciate because we eat halal. The cabbage salsa was also great Thank you for a lovely and delicious experience!
To be clear this isn't a typical Mexican restaurant. They use cabbage in place of lettuce which is delicious. They also don't do typical combo plates, they offer specialities of the house, a large selection of appetizers and of course fajitas, chili verde plate, other plates etc. Everything tasted fresh. I ordered the Mexican pizza which was huge and well worth the price at 12 bucks. The shell was crisp, sauce was great and was very filling. My wife got potato papusas?, I think that's what they were. They were crunchy and tasted freshly made. She got a Jamaica margarita which was honestly the best margarita I've ever tasted. The owners were VERY friendly, service was spectacular. Definitely has a family owned vibe, employees seem very happy. Will be back soon and frequently.
This is real family run Mexican restaurant. They immediately brought out beans and rice for the kiddos so they didn’t have to wait. They had real high chairs and kids bowls and spoons. The wait staff was attentive and kind. And their food was very good. Definitely will return.
The food was delicious! The staff was super nice. And best of all, they have a table with kids toys and coloring books!! This was such a great experience, we will definitely be coming back.
The food here was AMAZING!!! There was another restaurant in town that claimed to be the best, but they were take out only. We were looking for a dine-in experience. The homemade food was so fresh and delicious. The spices were incredible. I had the beef chimichanga and my husband had the chicken chimichanga. The red sauce was the best either of us ever had. Our children ordered a kid's enchilada and the other one ordered a beef and cheese burrito. They both raved. We are here from out of town and I wanted to be sure to spread the love for other vacationers. This is INCREDIBLE!!! Take your family. Enjoy! (Family from the midwest)
Wow. What an amazing meal. Friendly service and great prices.
My husband is a long time patron, however this is the first time I’ve been! Great service, delicious food, big portions! Absolutely satisfied. They even have a kids table and my almost 2 year old stayed occupied the whole time! I even got to meet the owner and her granddaughter. 10/10
Great food. Just came with a party of 25 on a road trip. The waitress was excellent and made sure every one was happy. Been to many Mexican restaurants this one was really good and worth the stop. I had a beef empanada for the first time.
They had AMAZING mexican food with fresh ingredients and great portions. The tacos and salsas had a lot of flavor, and the service was friendly. overall a solid place for a meal
The ladies that are this kitchen. Are very genuine, nice, good looking. And very respectful. They make everything hand made. I loved it. Passing through. This is where I stopped after being on the road for 3 days. This was my first meal that I have had after a long drive

Went out looking for a good Mexican place because I am not too thrilled with the one closest to where I live. I let Google make some suggestions based on location and the first place I tried was great. Super quaint and lovely decor, I was greeted by friendly staff and immediately shown to a table. Angelica came by with menus and info and gave me some suggestions as a first timer. I opted for the Empanada, and was lucky because Stacy who also was helping out told me I could go half and half with the red sauce/green sauce. The food is absolutely delicious and clearly authentic and homemade. The chips were fresh and the cabbage salsa is to die for! So I had the pork in the empanada and it was tender and moist, well seasoned and not too salty. Full of flavor and juicy goodness. I am happy to say the prices were fair and with a lovely pineapple cider and tip I was out the door for about $25. Stuffed. Highly recommend this local family-run gem.
I was impressed. I had the beef chimichanga, and the flavors were awesome. It was my first Mexican food outing in Eureka since I moved here 2 months ago. The waitress was friendly and professional. The food had the flavors of homemade awesome. I will definitely come back.
Couldn't find anything to eat in the area so I stopped by here with my cousin that was visiting. Been a while since I ate here, I've always enjoyed the food... Boy o boy was I impressed, their burritos are all huge though it was hard to choose what to order on the menu so I went with something basic an I got the fajita burrito... they also have a pretty decent selection of shots to choose from and import/domestic beer as well...
Yummy food! Love that they use no animal fats at all in preparation of the food... unique tastes very authentic!

Their salsa and charro beans are delicious. Their aguas frescas are generous. The freshly made tortillas are yum. Service is good. Prices are reasonable.
Good food, good sevice (& nice & clean). Open kitchen:)...was early enough to watch the ladies making the tortillas, a treat. Friendly, pleasant staff. Small plates for the price, but good stuff.
I had a great Ranchero Enchilada. My Pachangarita was a little tart and certainly festive for a change . Sope was a bit dry but still flavourful. I like that they are friendly to vegan/vegetarian options.
I went for lunch. had the enchilada rancheros. was very good, fast, and food was nice and piping hot. service fast friendly. My wife got the tostada grade and I she equally enjoyed. chips and salsa was ok, only reason didn't give 5 out of 5
Love the food, Oliver the server is awesome, but the other waitresses aren't very friendly and usually get my order wrong, then blame it on me. So I stay away more than I'd like to... Maybe change that??
The food is unique and has authentic flavors. As a bonus, I deal with local Health inspectors, and they have suggested that Pachanga is one of the cleanest kitchens with the freshest meats and produce.
I had a Tostada. It was a good sized portion. I was able to eat it all, I felt full but not overstuffed. It was topped with a generous amount of guacamole and sour cream. The service was fast and friendly. I will return for more.
Very good Mexican food. We showed up about an hour before closing with a party of 13 people and they gave us excellent service. Very friendly staff and the food came out quick! The margaritas were just ok but the food was way better than expected. The cabbage in the salsa was definitely interesting. I had the chicken mole and enjoyed it. If you're in Eureka and want Mexican food, eat here!
Carne asada was a bit tough but everything else is super flavorful. I ordered the taco salad and the portion was very generous. The dipping sauce with cabbage served with chips is amazing.
About my only complaint is waiter communication, but the food here is great. Some Guatemalan food also. Prices put most dishes at nearly 13 bucks after tax with no drink, so that sucks. If they'd make prices realistic I'd visit far more often.
I would come back. My food was delicious. It was light and fresh. My husband said his was "good American Mexican food." I like that they served whole beans rather than refried. The chips were meh. The service was very friendly but not super attentive. The cost was a bit much for the food but we were celebrating so I looked past that. The decor was nice but the temperature a little chilly for my taste. I recommend as long as you are ok with a slightly steeper bill than other choices.
Ordered chili relleno and rice, excellent authentic meal, best in Eureka hands down! It's a little pricey, a soda is $4.50, but the food is worth it. Chips are made fresh, the salsas vary daily (green and red). Again this is an "authentic" Mexican restaurant, I give it an "A rating" highly recommended!

Good food. The service was very good. Dishes ordered was Shredded Beef Chimichanga and shredded beef Quesadilla.
Good food. The service was very good. Dishes ordered was Shredded Beef Chimichanga and shredded beef Quesadilla.
Food was subpar for the price point. Carne Asada was almost leathery. My wife enjoyed her Chicken Mole. Service was friendly.
Overall it's just ok. The salsas are really nice - the roasted salsa is good and the cabbage one is delicious. The chili con queso dip was nice, as well. The made in house tortillas were truly delicious and probably the best thing we had. Chip starter portion wasn't generous and they don't give additional without a charge. In fact, significant additional charges for all the little thing seems to be the norm here. Albondigas was beyond bland and the meatballs lacked rice and were way too firm and chewy. There was no seasoning in the soup at all and a weird agglomeration of random vegetables (broccoli?? Snow peas?? Green beans??). We dumped the remaining roasted salsa and the Ranchero sauce from the chimichanga in just trying to give it some kind of flavor, but alas it wasn't enough. The chimichanga was tasty and crispy, beef was nicely flavored, but was relatively small, and wasn't accompanied by rice or beans. I asked for cheese in the chimi, but barely any was there. For the price ($12 for soup and $16 for the chimichanga) I expected a lot more. Left feeling bummed out.
Tortilla from my burrito was soggy in 20 minutes. Filing was good, not superb. Good though small beer selection. Not a typical Mexican menu in terms of variety.
The waiter was really nice and friendly and funny so I was expecting my food to be pretty good. Cabbage is their favorite ingredient. They put it on everything! Even the salsa lol. Anyways our food came pretty fast but everything was sorta bland. My chile relleno was delicious but everything needed salt. 40$ we paid for 2 people. My advice share a drink. Maybe even a plate.
The service was fine. It was nothing impressive or disappointing. The atmosphere was basic and lacking a vibe. Most importantly for me is the food. The chips and salsa were awful. Salsa was very spicy but lacked flavor and had a odd brown color. The chips were cold and unseasoned. I ordered chicken and steak street tacos. The chicken street tacos were good but they used shredded chicken. The steak taco was bland and chewy. I also ordered a side of rice which also happened to be bland. Overall not the best but not the worst. I also think their prices on their menu might be incorrect because my bill seemed much higher than it should have been.
Ordered to go without looking at the menu. Cheese enchiladas & diabla shrimp, Get home & they charged me 49$ which I didn't notice till I got home. Seems alot to me for an ok dinner.
Service was friendly but this place is very cheap in appearance. Server took order wrong, food was not worth the hefty price tag, staff was sweeping right next to my table as I was eating. The only positives I have for this place are good wait staff and their willingness to serve me so close to closing time.
I have been eating at Pachangas for over 20 years, though I had not been back since before Covid hit. I recently ordered a dish to go. It was okay, nothing to write home about. But I was horrified to see the staff not complying with mask requirements. Two of the owners family had no mask while conversing with customers, and the others wore their masks below their nose. I almost walked out without my order, and will not be going back. Their blatant disregard of basic health safety protocols has lost them this long-time customer.
Had heard some good things but was really not impressed at all. Food is quite overpriced. Was stoked that they make their own tortillas; but, was brought the wrong food so had a fried shell instead of soft on my tacos... didnt want to roam the restaurant to find the server so just ate very greasy taco shells and dry fairly bland chicken and onions on the inside. I would not recommend this place.
Not authentic mexican food didnt even offer tortillas. Price was fair
Please correct me if I'm wrong but in no way should (One cheese enchilada combo, Chicken Mole, and a half order of Chile Poppers) cost $60 I couldn't believe it when I seen the bill I've been to five star restaurants that don't charge that much. Not to mention the cheese enchilada had no flavor and the service was very middle of the road.
Had the chile relleno plate with charro bean & husband had carnitas burrito. So bland & the salsa on the table was gross. Nothing had flavor but the charro beans. Thankfully no one came to ask us how the food was. Dang it!! Cocina Mariposa for being closed today 😭 We wasted our money on Pachangas!!
If you like really bland mexican cuisine this place is for you! I forgot last time i came i vowed to never return.... so nothing has changed. The worst place around... no flavor over cooked vegetables no seasoning on the ground beef, tortillas just fall apart, albonigo soup is worst i ever tried and service was not that great.... oh ya over priced too.... 16 bucks for 2 tacos? Nope not going back.
I’ve eaten at hundreds of Mexican food restaurants or Mexican food establishments and I can truly say for less money I can experience much tastier and more authentic food from Pantino Mexican food then what I ate here. The most simplest drink horchata was extremely water down and grainy like I’m swallowing grounded rice with a hint of cinnamon. I just expected more from a place that claims everything is organic. The chips were ok with their cabbage salsa I can give two stars for that.
Worst Mexican food I have ever had. Way over priced and the food was horrible.Do not recommend at all.
