T4 is a popular boba shop known for its coconut-infused drinks like the Mango Fanactics. Customers appreciate the fair prices and variety of tea flavors. Some find the tapioca pearls and milk teas average, and service can be inconsistent.

Great selection of herbal milk teas. You can customize the sugar level of your drink
Palo Alto’s god-tier boba by a country mile. They sometimes run out of things (like boba pearls) in the last hour or so that they’re open so plan accordingly.
Definitely one has to try the Matcha Latte :) It taste so good and refreshing. Try without adding any boba to the drink.
It's great they open earlier than the other milk tea stores. Warm and nice smiles of the people who work here
The vibe was great, loved the aesthetic and design of the place. It tasted better than my local T4.
Great tea! I always get Osmanthus Oolong tea no sugar with boba. Perfect all season drink!
Always bustling and busy, good boba at a fair price (although they raised it recently). Location is easy and convenient.
The mango boba is some of the best ever had! Definitely recommend this place but don’t DoorDash it is pricey (as I know DoorDash is lol)!
Popular boba spot for students and visitors. Lots of options of hot and iced drinks. The royalty tea is quite smooth and interesting with boba. Some of the new drinks like bonsai Oreo, and avocado smoothie are quite creative
Came here for a GC for a friend, and a minute after purchase, I discovered that they don't have any locations in socal as I thought they did. Asked for a refund but their system locks them out of it for GC. Their team went above and beyond and talked to their boss to get my issue resolved. While I waited, I was also given a complimentary drink since it took 25+ minutes.
Best boba tea in Palo Alto. Their Thai iced tea is spectacular, and they sell lots of other delicious teas and snacks in a nice environment.
first and only boba place in town. their drinks mix as you order any way you wanted with the amounts of ice and how sweet you want. good service too.
A heathy small meal near Caltrain is typically hard to find, but this Is one. I liked the couscous kale salad. Small portion, couscous for some starch/bulk and kale on top. Absolutely perfect!
Great vegetarian food. Casual cafe atmosphere. The only downside is the big screen TV, looping on some weird video that I feel is trying me to convert to some cult.
Great stop for bubble tea. Lots of choices, both in flavor and in filling. Usually very quick to fill your order.
Pretty good options. Tasty boba and drinks. Close to Stanford's campus if you have a bike (or legs and the will to walk).
Expensive ($7) for the Taro milkshake with Boba and dairy free milk. But very delicious and refreshing. The person who took my order was very accommodating since I asked a lot of questions!
Whenever I have meetings in PA I like to stop here for vegan pho noodle soup, spring rolls, or their delicious sandwiches. Love their vegan milk thai iced tea and desserts too. A great, open spot right on the main downtown street for people watching. Highly recommended for vegan foodies.
Really cute inside great service 💯
I went here so many times over the summer while I was living in Palo Alto! It always smelled so good in there. I always get the 30% sweet Taro Milk Tea (it’s super sweet if you do 50%) with boba. The price is pretty good! I also got the Oreo milkshake from here once, but it was pretty watered down and just tasted like blended ice and oreos.
Good vibes, good fruit and milk teas.
Spent a few hours here working. Nice afternoon, door open, for a fair breeze. Several people enjoyed the outdoor seating, I stayed in for the power outlets. I tried 2 different teas, both were excellent, with loads of options for customization.
Can taste the care they put into making the teas I am a tea drinker with unrealistic expectations, and have found that if I write in the comments my 'specifications' when ordering, these guys 'get' it and I end up with a delicious tea. Consistently. I am impressed. I would expect that different people working different shifts would all make the tea differently. It's not really the case though, it's very consistent. Maybe twice out of 30 orders, the tea was too strong, but not so much that I didn't drink it like it was the oasis to the desert of life. So I would recommend these guys.
Great location in downtown Palo Alto with decent indoor seating plus a couple small sidewalk tables. Good variety of drinks, always good quality. Has wifi. I think restroom is no longer available to customers.
The best boba tea on Uni Ave bar none. Their creme brulee tea is so good with a smooth sweet vanilla taste. With very low sugar levels and light ice, it's the perfect bang for your buck. Other highlights are the mango coconut drink and even the fruit teas. Honey boba also quite tasty.
I come to T4 so much because I can't seem to get enough of the Mango Fanactics drink. It is coconut infused with Mango and I normally get it with lychee jelly. You can't adjust the sugar level though, but I still love it. I will continue to come all the time, and it deserves 5 stars.
I think I'm just biased, but I don't care. T4 is old reliable in my book. It's a bit disappointing that this one doesn't have a jadeite royal milk tea (I remember getting that all the time in London), the royal milk tea here is actually black tea. I got the peach royal tea, no milk, and it was pretty nice with chewy bubbles.
This is the only T4 (boba place) that uses a coconut creamer and it's incredible. The tea quality is average, but the coconut is wonderful. Try the winter melon or mango fanatic!
T4 is fine. It’s your basic boba. All the ingredients are there. It does the job. It’s close to Stanford. It’s available on door dash. The tea isn’t great. The ingredients are paint by numbers. The pearls are mid. But in a pinch, it absolutely does the job it needs to do. You can do better but you can also do w-a-y worse.
T4 is a cute little boba shop right on University Ave in Palo Alto. Their prices are fair for the larger drinks, and they have very standard tea flavors and drinks. I got a taro milk tea with boba, which I would say is very standard and good, for under $7. I would come back here for boba again! They have some seating inside as well.
I discoved this wonderful tea shop through my doordash app. It was actually recommended and I'm super happy that I tried them out and now I'm hooked. I love the preparation they put into the teas, the size of the cups are PERFECT and the ingredients taste clean and fresh. My favorites are the Thai, Taro and Okinawa with red bean. They are soooooo DELICIOUS!!! Try them out, you won't regret it. 🧋 ... update for my visit in store today, they actually also have baked goods and some candy as well. I purchased their chocolate chip pudge cookie and matcha green tea with white chocolate chips and both were super scrumptious 🍪.
So good, love it. Best bobba tea ever. Good pricing for size. I recommended the rose one with a little bobba. Or the bubble waffle it was delicious. I went here with my friends and all had a great time together. The slushies are also very nice. Great vibes inside 100/10. So tasty, and yummy. The service was great and the workers were super nice.
I really like their taro milk tea but they are often out of it. Check online before you go there for their taro!
Decent place. Asians seem to dig this place and they have Chinese songs on the air here. Great place to be while it's cold
The drinks taste great, but it usually takes more than 15 minutes to receive your order. A bit pricey as well.
Ordered through Uber Eats for pickup. Made us wait for a bit even though we had gotten the ready for pickup notification before reaching the store.
Pre-pandemic, we got a free drink card (no expiration mentioned). When we returned recently, they no longer honored it. Boba was cooked perfectly. Tea was good.
Great tasting bubble shakes with a few boba flavors to choose from. Mine could have been better blended, but it was good.
Good drinks. Can choose ice and sweetness level for drinks. Tried the Potted Milk Tea (Oolong Tea with Oreo Crumbles) 50/50 Ice & Sweetness. It was good.
My kids love this place and this is the main reason for my high rating. However, please do something about the chaos in the store. It takes forever to get the order.
Good boba, super close to campus. Some people love their cream drinks but I'm not a fan of the salty sweet flavor.
I'm really excited that there's finally a boba place in Palo Alto! It's got a clean, spacious interior and a ton of different drinks to choose from! The prices are a little expensive (but then again it's Palo Alto), and the regular size is pretty tiny so I would recommend upgrading to a large. I get the roasted oolong milk tea a lot and it's great! They also have a special flavors section that offers a lot of exotic-sounding choices. I tried the osmanthus oolong the last time I was there and it was delicious! Also nice that you can choose your percentage of both sweetness and ice. (Although the first time I got regular ice and they gave me way too much, so you should probably adjust down) They also have excellent grass jelly and boba. Will definitely be back whenever I want a boba but don't want to drive down to mountain view!
Loving Hut is a super casual place to grab a quick bite to eat at a reasonable price. I'm pescatarian so I usually eat at a lot of veggie places. I love their rainbow salad which is cabbage, carrot, and tofu with a great dressing. Their veggie burger is also really good too! If you're thirsty, grab their Hawaiian hibiscus tea or Thai iced tea on the side. The drinks are a bit pricey but entrees are very reasonable -- it's one of the only places on university where you can grab a meal for less than $10.
Quick service in person, plus great in combination with door dash. I find their tea too sweet, even with no sugar, but to each their own and I am very fond of their Avocado smoothies, so I always get those instead when I go with friends or coworkers.
The quality is OK for the price ($4-$5), but it's always the latest boba place open in Palo Alto so I end up going there quite a bit - that's when all the college students are out haha. I recommend their Taro Smoothie and their egg puffs.
Tea itself is amazing, but definitely don’t recommend adding boba; they were hard and unappealing.
They have put up shields at the cashier and pick up counter. They do have wireless payment but touchscreen is required to confirm the transaction. Their drinks are quite good, with lots of choices and customization options.
I was skeptical, but I actually really enjoyed eating at the Loving Hut. Run by the same cult/spiritual group as some of the other vegetarian/vegan places in the area. They do a quick pay-at-the counter model and have pretty filling, reasonably priced options.
There are several tea houses selling pearl or boba teas in Palo Alto. T4's pearl is the best regarding its elasticity and sweetness. They also provide point collecting card so you can have one free cup after buying 10.
Great bubble tea place at the end of the main strip in Palo Alto. Tons of preset combos or make your own for $3-4. Really good. Only downside is it was busy so I had to wait about 10 minutes for them to make my Jasmine and Green Tea bubble drink. High school girls working were very polite and did a great job working hard to keep up with the orders.
Can't judge the boba, only stayed there with some regular Jasmine tea to gap 30 min. Seating area was bright and clean, staff was friendly. Almost comedic back and forth between me, who wanted just regular tea, and the staff who double checked that I don't want boba, don't want milk, don't want sugar. Tea was average bad for non-specialty places, but not disgusting
Above average boba, tons of options. They're pretty good about customizing your drink, which I'm big on. Staff generally unfriendly, but who cares when you only have to interact with them briefly. Convenient location next to Palo Alto Caltrain station.
The tea here is very good. I had the taro milk tea with pearls and it was very well made. All my colleagues liked their teas and flavors. Great place to go with co workers, friends, kids and family.
Pretty good boba. You can adjust the sweetness level and they have some good add ins like red bean
Jadeite tea is very good. Note it is on the "specialty" section not the "special flavor". I found the grass jelly add-on to be very bland and would not get it again. Rose aloe plus extra boba and 30% sugar is a bit more sweet than I'd prefer but still good for a non-caffeine option. I might try 0% sugar next time to see what it's like. The roasted oolong is strong and a bit too astringent without milk or sugar so I might have it with some next time. There's indoor seating, and a couple of seats outside as well.
Based on a sampling of one person, and that one person being my daughter not me, it would seem that the offerings at this location are appealing. My daughter usually likes to stop in here when we are in the area. My complaint with this location is at the parking is a real pain. Fortunately I can drop my daughter off and circle around and pick her up after she gets the item she's ordered.
Really popular boba place in downtown! - always crowded. MUST READ TIPS: -The smoothies are often chunky and difficult to drink. - Their milk teas aren't the best. (I reccomend 30% sweet) Go to Gong Cha for milk tea. - Tapioca pearls are not bad. Oatmeal topping is delicious and PERFECT with Apple Black tea. - They also have a distinct flavour to their milk teas that seperate them from the other tea places around here. To be honest- I'm not a fan of it. - This is the best place around downtown for fruit teas. This is mainly because it has a larger fruit tea menu than the other stores. - Go with 0% sweet with fruit/brewed teas because the toppings or fruit flavored syrup is already quite sweet! - Go to Pop Tea for wintermelon drinks.
The tea is pretty good, but definitely on the expensive side for pearl tea. Expect to pay about $4 for the smallest size.
Atmosphere and tea were just ok. I got the Okinawa and I've had better at ShareTea.
I'm used to boiling water and a handful of tea leaves. Nothing here looks or tastes like tea. As sugary water, some of the drinks are pretty good.
Busy place! My favorite drink is the red bean milkshake but wait times can be up to 45 min
We went for the egg puffs but they were not as crispy and fluffy as before? Maybe its been awhile since they made it last?
It has lots of choices. The queue is long at night. Fresh milk option is offered for around 5 of the items.
Never see no ice needs to add 0.25 The staff does not know how much the caffeine has for osmanthus oolong drink.
Tea's decent (I didn't find many good choices) and the wait is long. Go to ShareTea. It is better.
I Rate this place staff did not have order ready for me to pick up I'm a Dasher. Have two many other things and orders not in procol. Sorry I'm prove on customers waiting to long for orders
On University Ave, it's inevitably hard to find parking. The drinks here are okay, I had a Jasmine GMT and it was pretty flavorless. The winter melon milk tea was decent. Service was good!
Teas are ok. but the teas are half ice, even when you request "less ice". None of the other boba shops around here do such egreious padding.
This place is weird - there's this slightly cult-like feel to it, though the food is surprisingly delicious. My vegetarian companion couldn't eat some of it because they did such a good job of making the fake meat taste like meat. "bleergh, the texture!" she said.
I got the Passion fruit shake (I think that's what its called)which is kinda like a slushy thing if I was going to to explain it. There were large chunks of ice here and there that weren't blended well enough, and not really anything which hinted that the passion fruit shake was even passion fruit.
I've been told that T4 is less than stellar, but I honestly thought it was just fine. I got a jasmine green milk tea for $6.90, which isn't a great price. The boba topping alone added an extra 90 cents, and well, anything more than 50 cents for a spoonful of boba topping is objectively atrocious. But the drink itself was of serviceable quality. I'd rather get my boba elsewhere at places like Quickly or Tpumps, however... The options in downtown Palo Alto are limited. Most other places were even more expensive than T4 and had more limited options. Overall, 3/5.
Very sugary drinks, even with sugar reduction. Not enough tea flavor as the drinks were quite watery. There are better options in the area.
Do not order for pick up unless you are planning to do “ASAP.” My order was ready 40 minutes early and when I called to ask if it was a mistake they said it doesn’t show them pick up times. They need to redo the system if it doesn’t show order times.
Ok so we went there by mistake! We didn't read it's vegan food. So we ordered a BLT sandwiches and just thought the bacon tastes weird. Till we found out:) So I wouldn't go there again but just because I'm not a vegetarian/vegan... It's probably ok for vegan people but I can't compare. The service was not very good. you have to pay and order at the register which is fine for me but the lady was not very friendly.
T4 took over Loving Hut, the Vegan chain on University. It's the first boba shop in all of Palo Alto, and I'm surprised it took so long to create! The tea is decent, but nothing special. I like the variety of toppings and wifi. I am not a big fan of the crema, grass jelly topping, and generally don't like their tea. I come here when I'm in a bind but generally make the trek to San Mateo or Cupertino for my boba tea needs.
Girl at the counter could not have been less interested and was so rude that it really doesn’t matter what grade of mediocrity their product achieves. F this place go literally anywhere else
Ordered a lychee smoothie, had just ice in it. Smoothie definition from google - A smoothie is a beverage made by puréeing ingredients in a blender. A smoothie commonly has a liquid base, such as fruit juice or milk, yogurt or ice cream.
Really? Can not exchange green tea for black tea? If the excuse is covid, why are 5 employees working in a confined space? There is no difference to switch teas, not even willing to accommodate as all I wanted was black team with lemon. Smh
As of last week, this particular T4 (T4 is a franchise operation so it is the decision of the operator of this location) started charging people extra for not wanting ice in their tea. That is wrong, when we are already paying over four dollars for a cup which costs very little to make. I wish everyone can tell them that this is wrong and then go somewhere else. There are plenty of others to choose from in Palo Alto.
It was tasteless and was 80% ice. I had a few ships of absolutely tasteless smoothie, would strong recommend to avoid this place.
The absolute worst service I've ever had at a milk tea place, no line and a 30+ minute wait to get the drink. No warning about the wait either. Never going back. Boba was meh anyhow.
My review is depicting my overall experience over two visits. Both times I ordered a Thai iced tea with boba with no sweetness. The first time I ordered this, it came out in a timely manner and was decent. I remember the boba being unremarkable but the flavor of the Thai tea was just as I would expect and delicious. The second time I came here, my drink "somehow got lost in the orders". I had to confront the cashier and they made it. After my first sip, I immediately noticed that what I was drinking was pretty much iced orange water with boba. I confronted the cashier and told her that I hate to complain but what I was drinking was pretty much water. She replied with "well you ordered it without any sweetner and that's just how Thai tea tastes". No solution to remedy the situation was given and I just left. The only saving grace was that the boba was actually tastier that what I remembered. Drinks here are more expensive than a typical boba place but does not have the quality nor the customer service to merit such a price tag. Overall, very dissatisfied with the obviously inexperienced staff and drink quality. I definitely will never go back, which is a shame because I think it may be the only boba place in downtown Palo Alto.
They don't give you anything to sign the screen with.. and they don't sanitize after each use.... and.. I recommend a menu outside so customers can see. Since there's a 5 person limit inside.. There were customers inside looking at the menu. Which caused a long line outside of customers that knew their order... The person at the register told me to wait outside. When I knew what I wanted... vs. The 2 people inside looking at the menu for 7 minutes.... causing traffic and long wait. 2 stars for her bad service and the non sanitize
So ridiculously over-priced... if you want to pay 5 bucks for the same ginger tea /chai that you can make at your place in 3 minutes, you're in the right place. However, half the name is in the price: you won't drink a "sweetened earl grey with milk and maple syrup" but an "okinawan tea". pretentious place with no vision and high price to boot.
At the time of social distancing, people were standing at the pick up area and talking without masks, making it very difficult for others to safely pick up their drinks. Manager and staff were not directing them to clear the area and keep 6 feet apart from others. Also none of the staff was wearing gloves. I didn’t want to make a scene so I called after I left to point that out but the manager was completely dismissive about it.
What a disappointment!!! Twice in a row, first yesterday Monday, then tonight Tuesday, we were denied service after waiting in line for 10-15 min!!! It's the second time in a row that my 7 yr old daughter is disappointed because the store is rebuffing onsite customers to be able to fulfill online orders. This is a shame to treat customers like this. I will NOT come come a third time!! Why waste my time and disappoint again? I am sure I can find plenty of options that will make my daughter happy! Good luck T4 with your continued growth... try not to forget the customer in the process!!!!
When I went to pick up my drink, the girl that made it had her bare hands all over my drink as she was talking to a customer ahead of me for 10 minutes. Gross. I couldn't sanitize my cup enough! The almond milk and grass jelly didnt taste fresh...it was sooo bad like from big canned stuff. I dumped the drink. Bambu has a much fresher taste and they are much more Covid prepared.
Smoothie blends need work - ended up with quite a bit of ice chunks the size of boba which lessened my enjoyment of the taste. Plus, they failed to log/stamp my drink. Deceptive. They took my food order separately first and then did not remind me to re-log back in when I ordered my drink - so now I'm out 2 drink stamps b/c I also did not know their self service kiosk does not credit for drinks either, which I had done on a previous visit. I don't think I will be ordering from T4 in future b/c they said they aren't able to credit me back my drink stamps, which makes their incentive program worthless.
