Peruvian restaurant in the heart of Paterson, NJ. I've come here for breakfast and lunch; excellent food.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience here. The food is extremely salty. This place is more of a lunch spot, but it's open all day, every day of the week. The waitress didn't like it when I told her I couldn't read the menu and was rude when I asked what the dish meant. I'm not from Peru, so obviously I wouldn't know, but customer service should be better; an explanation would have been enough. After I placed my order, she never brought it to me. She did bring it to my partner, though. What I gathered is that she's very insecure, and it's a shame that a Hispanic woman would treat another Hispanic American woman badly for not being able to read Spanish well. That's what's so sad. I won't be back, and I'll make sure not to send any of my clients here to eat.

Cold Food, Bad Service We went and the waitress forgot about his burger; it was cold. When we told her it was cold, she said it "just came out," but it was hard. We ended up packing it to go and having to reheat it at a friend's house. The patasca tastes nothing like patasca; it's more like chicken soup. I wouldn't recommend this place to friends or family. 👎 Also, the waitress lets other customers lock the door on them. I made sure to file a formal complaint. I had a bad experience; the woman who runs the place refused to exchange the creams for others, whereas in other, better restaurants they don't give you any trouble. It's a shame she doesn't even know how to treat customers, but oh well...
