It's totally packed but the service is great and the people that work here are nice even when there's a lot of people and orders to serve. The atmosphere is very nice for families.
Stop for a quick breakfast. Bacon and eggs were very fresh cooked well my caramel macchiato with oat milk was super good!
Chicken pomdiri is a great sandwich. Broccoli cheese soup was amazing. The food came out hot and properly cooked. Coffee is great as well.
Love corner bakery! Three of us can eat for under $40. We like the meatball panini and the tomato basil soup.
Good food. Good environment. Panini bread, oatmeal, coffee and commuter croissant are all good. Service is not bad depending on whether the server was partying the night before.
Great service, we all liked the food. Both of the children ordered eggs but only one got them . Check your order to make sure that your children were clear in the making of their order.
The Manager Kayla has Provided an exceptional Experience........... Warm Welcome and Cozy Establishment... the Breakfast Wrap with Spincah. And Avocado was Amazing
Very kindly very delicious 🤤😋🙏
Clean and friendly atmosphere, helpful and attentive staff, dishes that are presented well and cooked right. What more can you ask for?
Couldn't make my mind up where to go tonight then I remembered Corner Cafe. Great atmosphere, great food and service I usually get. Was a win, again tonight!!! Thank you Corner Cafe for saving dinner problem tonight.
Can't beat the coupons they offer!! Free drinks with rewards, great coffee and tea. The breakfasts are wonderful and meatless meatballs, yum!
They have a nice patio. The food was delicious. The iced tea selections are awesome. The restaurant was clean and the people were friendly.
use to eat here all the time in Tulsa before we moved to Texas, still a great place !
We were glad we could get a late breadfast. Coffee was good with 3 choices of blends. Staff helpful and dining area clean.
We eat here often, it's one of our favorite casual restaurants. The staff is always nice, willing to answer questions, and customize a meal option. The food has always been hot and/or fresh. They are always busy.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and anything in-between, Corner Bakery delivers wonderful food and friendly service. From salads to pasta entrees, and delicious sandwiches, all are generous portions, reasonably priced. I especially like the ability to order "cafe" sized (smaller) portions when you're not that hungry. Be sure and treat yourself to one of their many desserts - cookies, cakes in abundance. It is, after all, a bakery!
I went on my lunch hour and had a coupon for $2.00 off their pick 2 for $6.99. A great deal just for joining the eclub. I chose the cup of loaded potato soup and a small ceasar salad. The cup of soup was just perfect for lunch and I couldn't finish the salad as it was big for a pick 2 item.. It was all great. I'll be back.
What a great place to grab a bite to eat. Salads are wonderful and the Paninis are fabulous. My wife and I have eaten at Corner Bakery Cafe many times and when we are in the area, it is our first choice. I have never had breakfast there, but I am sure it is just as good as the other great food we have had.
First visit; impressively delicious! "Choose Two' very good and very reasonable price. Clean & cosy atmosphere; ample parking, and and excellent service from the friendly, helpful staff. Will be returning to sample more of the marvelous menu ☺️
They were super helpful with a last minute catering order. I'm very grateful
Always consistently good. It was freezing outside (literally) so I tried the chicken orzo soup. Hit the spot. I usually go for a panini & salad. (They have breakfast paninis, too!) Staff is polite & restaurant is clean.
The staff there is so nice! There is a young lady called Federica that goes above and beyond to help. The food was delicious and excellent customer service!
The atmosphere here is cozy and relaxing. We were out during holiday shopping, and found this location quite peaceful. Staff was friendly, polite (held the door open for us), and speedy.
Chopped salads are the best. Always fresh & crisp greens. Their salad dressing is so delicious. Friendly & courteous employees. Not too expensive for all you get.
Not busy. The food is very fresh and prepared as advertised. I am a carnivore and my partner vegetarian, and we both found excellent menue items to choose from. The real draw here is the staff. They make you feel valued and are very efficient.
I have been going here for years In Illinois and now in Texas. You buy Breakfast, lunch or Dinner and or a cake for dessert The food is always fresh and made at time of ordering. The wait time is quick! in consideration to what you order and how many items you get. Love this place. The staff is friendly and fun to be around. I'll be back!!
I love Corner Bakery! The food is great, I always get the chicken pomadori, and my sister always gets the meatball panini, and they never disappoint. Also, the employee Christian (who I think might be the manager?) is a super nice dude and always greets us with a warm welcome and a positive attitude! 10/10
Parking: Plentiful Bldg: Well kept. Clean exterior Dining rm: Tables properly situated. Meal: Easy to order. Prepared fresh. Very satisfying.
Very friendly staff! Food was good! Nice atmosphere. I enjoyed being able to eat outside due to the shade from the awning. Thanks for that!
I’ve been to Corner Bakery locations all around DFW, and I feel the need to say this is the best one. The Chicken pomodori sandwich is prepared the best at this location. I am underwhelmed at how the other locations fill this sandwich, this kitchen deserves recognition as the best of the Corner Bakery’s. The food is not only phenomenal but the service is good too. I would recommend this location be anyone’s go to. Bravo to the staff and whoever runs the place, I enjoy coming to this restaurant and will be a regular even long after I move. Thank you to everyone who shows up to give such great service and food here.
Pasta there is amazing and service is great. Very quite place to eat and have a conversation at your table without feeling like you can't be heard.
We have ordered take out several times now and no issues. Their harvest salad is so good with the balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
Had a very tasty half blt ( bacon was cooked just right) sandwich avocado. Also small salad and the fruit cup as a side. For the first time in along time, a fruit cup ( my first one hete) had fresh, ripe fruit at room temperature. Fruit was sweet. Had a lovely lunch, while I watched a family sit outside with their doggy. I'll be back with mine. The young nan at the counter was very polite.
We had a great experience! We ordered catering the night before and we needed it at 8 am, not giving much time. The owner called me after hours to confirm the order. She was so friendly. The food was sooo good.
I visited here on August 5, 2021, with my mom, brother, and grandparents, and enjoyed some excellent breakfast food. I really like their pancakes and chocolate milk.
Was hosted very well on a Friday morning by Ms. Addalynn. I wanted to buy some cookies for my sons and she offered to get some ready and put them in the oven for me. This spot is usually a great place to steal away and chat or study, never too loud and friendly help is hit or miss at the counter but they have a really good one in Addalynn-she not only did the cookies, but got my tea for me and showed me where to get lids, how to work the wifi, etc. 5 star experience.
I have a working lunch here each Thursday, and it is perfect. Everyone grabs their own meal, and we sit down for a good chat. The turkey sandwich on a Pretzel bun is fantastic, and the Berry Salad is always great.. but do yourself a favor and grab a muffin on the way out.
Love this place! My girlfriend and I came here on a whim to see what it was like, and now we come in every week. I highly suggest the chicken pesto sandwich if you're looking for a satisfying lunch, and you can't go wrong with any of the coffees they serve here! Big shout out to Emily, the AGM who always makes us feel so welcome. Thank you! (๑ºัᗜºั)
Haven't been here in a while. Bagel was good with my real butter. Chicken sausage breakfast wrap was good with the green salsa.
Didn't have to find the line, just opened the door and I was next. But what fast service. We were ordered and seated just as part of our order arrived. We did have to send one plate back.
I'm a believer in Corner Bakery now. The staff at this location is always very friendly as my husband and I are regulars there now. I love being able to order from their breakfast menu at any time of the day.
Pretty good but they screwed up my last order. I ordered a Steak & Cheese Panini and got a roast beef and cheddar sandwich. Good coffee.
good food -- exactly what you'd get at any other location in this chain. Plenty of room so always am able to find a seat even at a busy hour.
Great staff and food. Never done dine in but i'm sure it's just as great. Only thing that bothers me is proportion keeps changing. I always get the entree chicken pesto, and sometimes it's filled and sometimes it's half the container. Otherwise good job maintaining the ingredients and flavors greaaaat nice and clean location for pick up and dine in (i bet)
Great food served quickly by friendly staff. The only issue is that ~10 of the dining room tables were dirty/needed to be cleared, and none of them were during our 30 min visit.
Always like the food at Corner Bakery. If this particular location could just improve on cleanliness (a lot of tables needed dishes cleared and bussed - multiple times visited), that would be great.
I was so ready to eat a great chicken salad sandwich. That sandwich is not available anymore. I was so disappointed. I did have a half blt and a ceaser salad. Both were good.
The food tasted good, but the soups were not very hot. The overall atmosphere was fine, but felt a bit unkempt and several tables were sticky. A bit of a dark and dreary feeling inside.
Staff is friendly, the food is great, coffee is really good, and they have plenty of seating. The loss of star is because some of the tables are always sticky, and they don't have american cheese.
Good food with consistent service.
Good Had chicken Caesar salad, was good. Unsweetened tea had a weird taste, like flavored, but manager tasted and said it was ok. I changed to black tea but noticed a cup over the unsweet tea when I left. Either empty or other complaints.
Our family enjoys Corner Bakery for its delicious and healthy meals. I’ve also found service to be warm & very customer friendly (mostly). Great soups, sandwiches, and a Terrific Harvest salad!
First time visiting in a couple years and quality seems to have slipped a bit. My pasta dish was very sparse—plenty of chicken and pasta at least, but hardly any of the additional ingredients it supposedly came with…including very little sauce. One of our sandwiches was very lacking in ingredient quantity as well. On the other hand, a different sandwich was nice and full…and the soup was excellent. Wish there was more consistency, but overall still a decent spot for a cut above fast food.
I walk in, 3 people at the counter, no greeting. One staff member has stickers all over her face. I step up to order and pause, waiting for a hello or something. Finally, young women says "what do you want", no smile, no positivity in her voice, I almost left, but I am hungry and have not been here in ages. Also, I am the only customer in the building. (4pm) Order and sit. Food comes out (mac & cheese) it is not hot, and it tastes off, almost like the noodles we're boiled in water that seafood was boiled in, or sink water. Won't be eating it. However, the bread was ok. I would ask for a refund, but it is obvious the staff here today care nothing about customer service.
I ordered the TRIO SALAD. One of the three selections was incorrect. Waiter said "sorry about that" and as he walked away, "have a nice evening". No offer to adjust or fix. Why do they hire rude, thoughtless teenagers?
Good, convenient location and easy place to meet someone. Food is good. I also have used their catering service which was surprisingly good and well priced.
I believe that our order was not read or delivered as we requested. The chicken carbonera was delivered as 3 pastas, the turkey avocado club salad was presented with Italian dressing and Bleu cheese. So there is definitely learning experiences to be had.
Chain restaurant, serving tasty soup and sandwiches. I would have given it a 4-rating, but there is something wrong with their water supply to the soda fountain: it has sooo much chlorine, it tastes like pool water (its even worse during the summer: gag reflex..) . I complained several times over the years, and simply had to give up and get bottled water when visiting. (FYI: other restaurants in the nearby area do NOT have the same chlorine problem)
Have eaten here before and enjoyed the visit but this time we didn't stay. The place has a little odor to it and needs cleaning. May be under staffed. Will try them again another time.
A favorite brunch spot of Sundays. Everyone in the family finds something they like on the menu. I give it 3 stars because the cafe is starting to look rundown; chairs are starting to look old and filthy and even have holes in them. I hope they put some money in to freshening up the place.
I normally love coming here but after the last two times things have just been different. My favorite thing is the Mac and cheese but the last two times the cheese has been more runny and everything tastes more bland. The service it ok but they do not feel as if they like their job or want to be there and that rubs off on the guests who are chossing to spend their money here. I believe this will be my last time I am gonna find somewhere else to get yummy Mac and cheese but I hope they figure everything out. I want to see it go back to how it used to be so I can enjoy it again.
While we do enjoy having breakfast here, every time we come in there are always dirty, unserviced tables. And they stay that way during our entire meal. It happens even more frequently when there are few customers. It really gives the impression that the manager/owner just doesn’t care. It’s really a shame.
I'm not sure if they ran out of cavatappi pasta, or if the menu changed to the rigatoni style, but the mac n cheese had different pasta. Our bread/toast was completely burnt, and the monster cookie my daughter got was as hard as a rock. We usually enjoy our food, but wasn't great this time. Also the restaurant needs a remodel to replace worn out booths and tables.
My coffee had a good almost inch thick layer of grounds at the bottom of the cup…
We used to love coming here, but over the past couple of years, it has gone downhill. And, after our last visit, we've decided we won't trust there again. They were completely out of napkins in the whole building, but they didn't offer us paper towels, or to go cutlery that was paclaged with a napkin. Nothing. My order was wrong, Id asked for no bacon, and my sandwich was dilled with bacon bits. And lastly, the tables and floors were sticky. I lean like they'd tried to clean with honey - it was gross. If you like the food of Corner Bakery, just take it to go. Then you'll be guaranteed a napkin, and clean tables and floors if you take it home!
PROs: Great location, plenty of front and back parking, in&outdoor seatings, festive decor and customer service was pleasant. The breakfast sandwiches were good but wrapped in foil, like fast food, unappealing. CONs: The place appears old and dirty. The muffins were tasteless. I'm a bakery fiend, love muffins, however I was disappointed with the muffins. I didn't bother to finish mine. Walmart muffins taste better than Corner Bakery.
I believe it was the manager at this location that took our order, but really made the experience here not worth the food. Wont be coming back, was one of my fav locations too. Seems to be a trend to just have a cold attitude not give a $%^& and wisk you on your way. SAD
Disappointing. egg and avocado bowl cheaped out from previous skillet style. even toast was limited. I'll pass next time. overall it is now a money grubbing penny pinching proposition. what could two pieces of decent country toast cost? wonky unstable tables and cost cutting are not what I want for breakfast.
I went for breakfast, which was cold and no flavor at all. I informed my pancakes was cold (literally the butter doesn't melt at all) and they only re-heat it.
We used to eat here once or twice a week, but the past two times (today and last week), there’s been an odor ... mildew and bathroom?? Hard to find a clean table; all were either not yet bussed, very wet, or sticky. Don’t think we’ll be back.
Service was friendly, but food was mid and place was pretty dirty. Hard to find a clean table that wasn't sticky or had crumbs. Would expect more for a restaurant in Highland Village.
Hadn't eaten here in several months. Use to dine in regularly for breakfast and was very pleased with the food and service. Decided to look at their dinner menu and found a prime rib sandwich that sounded delicious. Picked up the sandwich prior to scheduled time. My house is 2 minutes away. Upon enthusiasticly opening my sandwich I found a lack luster thin sliced (3 slices) very cold sandwich. Maybe it is supposed to be cold but I would expect very few patrons would order a COLD PRIME RIB sandwich. Ugh!! Very disappointing. I also opted for a house salad which was not bad other than the included stale croutons. I also noticed the inside if the restaurant had a not clean/stale smell, kind of like an old hotel, New carpet maybe. If management has noticed a decline in business I expect it is because the majority of patron di not leave negative reviews, they just stop coming. Better get on correction quickly if you intend to stay in business in this picky neighborhood.
We use to eat at this location a lot, but it has gone downhill. Staff was not friendly, playing loud music in the kitchen with cursing (I have small children), my daughters pancakes were hard and cold. Half the tables were dirty and not cleaned off. Staff seem to like pride in the restaurant and their work.
Not what we hoped for. We stopped in for breakfast and got the Commuter Special. It's bacon, scrambled egg, with cheddar cheese and tomato on a croissant. The croissant was fresh and tasty. The rest was just ok. Very little egg on the sandwich and we both felt the cheese should have been melted. I doubt we would go back for breakfast. I did note another customer eat an egg scramble. It looked pretty good, but comes at a big price for breakfast. I picked up a menu for lunch before we sat down to eat. The lunch menu has a wide variety of items that sounded pretty good, but no prices. I suspect it would be on the high end for lunch. The cakes and pastries looked amazing, so I decided to get a piece of Cinnamon Cream Cake to go. The cake siting in the window by the register looked amazing - lots of cinnamon filling and a nice crumbly looking topping. Unfortunately, that's not the cake that I got. My adequate size piece tasted good, but was not nearly as full of cinnamon cream or the crunchy topping that was on the display cake. It was moist. Not a wow or something I would drive back for.
The most recent reviews seem pretty spot on. Service was fair, lots of tables still had plates on them and even if they were cleared, they were still sticky or not cleaned well. Food was mediocre, especially for the price. My husband and I both got the chicken salad - his on a croissant and mine was on gluten free bread. His side salad was not good. Lettuce was definitely kept too cold and was translucent and slimy. I give them 2 stars for the food because the chicken salad itself was meh, fine, and at least they had gluten free bread as an option. Definitely no napkins out, I’m guessing maybe because people take too many? If you’re worried about costs, maybe look into your food waste/costs. No one should be eating that lettuce. It doesn’t feel like a cafe that should be in Highland Village. We probably won’t be back.
Unfortunately something has happened at this location. On 3 separate occasions they have been out of pancake mix. It's the only reason I visit. Probably won't try again.
Restrooms are dirty and floor is always real sticky smelled like pee also dining area not to clean we wish some upper management will fix this is being going on for years we love the food but need to be cleaner
The tables were not appropriately wiped down. I had to look around for a clean table in a place that was mostly empty. The majority of the tables had crumbs or residue. The flatware had residue that would clean off. I requested disposable utensils. I will look elsewhere for a breakfast place.
I’d recommend Panera or Mallister’s down the street. This place is dirty, smelly, the food is not good, and the employees are loud and rude (other than the young lady who was taking the orders).
Ordered a meal at 7pm online. Meal was ACCEPTED and told me 7:30. Showed up to pick up the order. Doors were locked. Said they closed at 8 on the door. Very confused.
I am very disappointed in CB lately. CB showed up recently on DoorDash for delivery and I was really excited because I love their fresh salads, well I did. They are pricey but they are usually amazing. So I've been ordering about 3 times a week for me and my daughter and have it delivered via DoorDash. Lately though I have seen a pretty severe decline in both food and service. Sometimes the order is missing items like my daughter's fruit cup, or the food is not what I ordered like receiving a half a pc of bread instead of the side I ordered, and the delay on getting the order ready seems to be getting longer each time. Well today was the worst problem so far. I ordered the chopped salad like I always do. It's a $9.29 salad so I expect the quality of the ingredients to be pretty fresh however this salad was prepared with the most unappealing wilted leaves of spinach I have ever seen. The bottom layer of the salad were these wilted leaves that looked like day old pulled weeds from your flowerbed. But the kicker was that it was topped with a layer of fresh spinach as a cover up so you didn't see the layer of yuk until you mixed it up. I mean really? Do you think covering it up is going to hide the fact that you tried to feed your paying customer something that a goat wouldn't even eat? That's just wrong! Plus my daughter's fruit medley didn't have any strawberries and blueberries in it. Got plenty of apples though. It should have a variety of fruit and it really didn't. Really it's all about consistency guys and gals and don't try to fool your customer just because they aren't dining inside your restaurant. I still paid for this food and on top of that now I am out of the money I spent on the salad and I'm hungry still. Remember.. McCalister's is RIGHT across the street and they have never tried to pull something like this with all the times I've had their food delivered. If y'all want my business again you're going to have to step up your game and fix these issues.
Employees don't show any motivation to clean or help customers. Not after just one or two visits but consistently. Drink station is always gross and there are always tons of dirty tables. Food is decent but with how dirty the dining area is I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like.
I like the Corner Bakery. This location is not good. Went at open. Restaurant was dirty including bathrooms. Smells. Got order wrong. Could use a remodel. Old. Thankfully there are many options nearby like the Tosted Yolk , Berries and Batter, 7 mile and First Watch.
HEADS UP SKETCHY MANAGEMENT! Went to purchase a gift card and the manager on duty ran my credit card 3 different times and told me that every transaction that he attempted was canceled. I was told all of the gift cards he ran were faulty and that the register would not print a gift receipt since the “system” canceled the transactions. I had multiple charge notifications from Visa and the credit card company proceeded to cancel all the pending transactions that apparently never went through! I then gave him cash to put on the gift card. The manager then took my cash to the back and brought me a presumably used sticky gift card and said here is your gift card!! Like, really you will take cash to the back, disappear for a few minutes and come back with a OLD and STICKY Happy Birthday gift card instead of the standard Gift cards they had at the front!! He then let me know all of the gift cards at the front were all faulty could not be used, but the one from the depths of who knows where is completely fine!!! It’s sad that a manager took over 30 minutes to complete a single $20 gift card transaction! I am truly disappointed in how this “manager” acted and I’m not even sure if this gift card is even valid! I hope to talk to another hire up about this odd encounter that took place!
I hate to leave a bad review. Fan of corner Bakery. Been to this location 5 times. All same experience. Food is worse compared to other locations, very messy. Place doesn't get cleaned up. Coffee is cold or there is none most of the time. It's the one corner Bakery I try to avoid unless I'm in a rush.
This was our first visit to this location and everything about our experience was awful. First the girl taking the order was on the phone when we walked up. She hung up and walked away without even acknowledging us or telling us she would be back. She came back in a few minutes and took our order with no apology. I ordered the veggie scrambler and specifically said no mushrooms. My eggs came with the mushrooms. Both the potatoes and eggs were cold and it tasted awful. My kids got the pancakes which were good but my eggs were just really bad. I would not go back
HORRIBLE!!!! I ordered the cavatappi pasta with marinara and I specifically said no parmesan. The no parmesan was reflected on the receipt. When the food was brought after about a 20 minute wait there was parmesan all over the pasta. I told the waitress I ordered it without parmesan and it's on the receipt. She said she would be right back with a new order. She comes back with a new order immediately I begin to eat it. There was melted cheese all in the pasta. Clearly they had just taken off the top part and then refill the pasta so there was a big chunk of cheesy pasta in the middle of the dish. We went back to the counter to discuss the issue and she said she would remake it and they took my dish away which had my garlic bread and fork. About 10 more minutes later so now we've been here 40 minutes and my dining companions had already finished eating they bring out my pasta with no fork and no garlic bread. We had to continue to wait for fork for several more minutes while my food got cold. We went back to the counter to ask for the garlic bread and Zachary L. gave us a bad attitude. He said he's not giving us garlic bread and then he said if we got the food he can't take the dish off the receipt. Now I was eating by myself lukewarm pasta that didn't even taste good with no garlic bread while everyone else already wanted to leave. Apparently Zack thinks this is fine. He said quote it's either or you either get the food or you get your money back. How about Zack that I get what I paid for and not try to hide cheese in people's food to save you 5 minutes of work. Corner Bakery should fire Zach immediately he doesn't know how to do anything. He finally begrudgingly gave us $10 in gift cards so now we have to go back to this horrible restaurant again to even get the $10 off instead of just crediting the disaster of a meal that I had off the receipt. Zachary try to do better next time this really isn't your line of work. Also I should also I should mention that when Zachary found out I got my food he tried to take the gift cards back. So I was supposed to wait 40 min, eat cheese which i hate and get no garlic bread and not be compensated??
Used to like going here but not anymore. Called at 8:15 to place a carry out order and immediately the girl taking the order had an attitude. When I informed her why I was calling, her response “You know we close at 9 right?” I asked her, do y’all have time to make it? She said yes as long as I’m there by 9 o clock. Obviously I didn’t plan on it waiting that long to get there, I know they can make an order in minutes. She rushed through the order, and gave me a total without reading it back. When I asked her to read it back, she purposely went too fast. I then asked for a manager who just said he would talk to her. I decided to cancel the order because I really didn’t want them making my food. Won’t be going to this location any longer.
Ordered lunch that never came. When I informed the girl behind the counter she did not even apologize. I waited over 25minutes for a bowl of soup and 1/2 sandwich. Manager apologized, but did not offer to comp meal. When I asked him, he turned and walked away.
We walk in and a Mexican fella is cleaning everything, doing all of the leg work, doing what needs to be done. Three able bodied white guys are behind the counter shooting the breeze. The brownie tastes dry, the sandwich was gag inducing, and the cinnamon roll tasted like it had just come out of a package. I frequented this place a lot years ago and recall great service, good food, and a clean environment. The place was still clean but with a busted AC dripping all over the outdoor seating area. Management clearly isn’t up to snuff if abled bodied men are standing around being useless. The other people eating there looked just as miserable but maybe they go more often so didn’t notice the gradual decline. Absolutely worthless spot, and given there are great breakfast and brunch spots nearby, don’t waste your time. I’m not even complaining, just being real. I don’t ask for a refund or an apology. I just want this establishment to be gone and replaced with a new manager, owner, or altogether new restaurant. I won’t be returning under any circumstances.
I ordered dinner for pick up. Once I got it home and started eating, I noticed the lettuce in my salad was slimy and brown. Not fresh. Sandwich was small, barely had any chicken in it and did not taste great. The only thing that was decent was the cheesy enchilada soup and even that wasn't great. Also was $20.
Went to this location about 8:30 and when we were about to order the young lady said we can make you a salad. I didn't want a salad but that was all she would serve us. I asked if they were out of food, she said no, they had already shut down their kitchen. I asked if they were open until 9 and she said yes, they just didn't offer most f the items on their menu. I asked where does it say that and she said I came in at 8:30. I guess if I owned this store I wouldn't be happy that my workers were not selling the full menu and earning money for the store.
SKIMP ALERT! We ordered the Crispy Cheddar Beef sandwich. It was mostly bread, hardly any meat. What a rip-off for $13.99! SHAME ON YOU GUYS. Don't waste your money here they are not giving you what you paid for. We will never go back there. I should of gone back and demanded a refund. It was that BAD.
Ordered a grilled cheese on white bread that came with a side of tomato soup. Also ordered a flavored latte. The sandwich was on rye, cold and not edible. There was some nasty cooked butter type layer of slim fried on top. It was absolutely awful. We threw it away. Oh, the tomato soup was forgotten. The same soup that was in the menu item name. The latte was also thrown away. It was all syrup and milk. It wasn’t hot, but there was no ice. It was like drinking straight sugar. I would strongly encourage you to eat elsewhere. Unless they terminate whoever cooked Thursday 11/13 at 10:15a. Because this was a joke.
I order the harvest salad on a regular basis and honestly I love everything about it. I usually get a pretty large portion and tonight I bought two salads and it was as if they just put the cafe portion in the bigger box. I tried to call and talk to someone about it and the phone just rang. Pretty disappointing experience.
OK I loved this place last Year. But today.... I am a long time fan of Corner bakery! I love the Panni's, the great salads and of course the deserts. But I recently visited this one in the Villages and cannot get past the bad service and dirty tables. It was in the afternoon and they had a reasonable crowd of people coming in. But the tables and booths were half full with dirty dishes and food from past customers. while I understand they cannot clean each table after a customer leaves - i counted 14 tables full of dishes and not cleaned! I watched people come in and look around disgusted that there were not clean tables for over 30 minutes. As I finished my BBLT i went up to the counter and asked to speak with the manager. A young woman came out and I told her that there were a lot of dirty tables and the the staff did not seem to notice. She waved her hand and said no big deal - it was shift change and they were busy. I left and do NOT plan to go back to sit in a restaurant looking at dirty tables and being told by the manager it is no big deal. Food was good - the ambience was disgusting!
