I ordered a classic dish the pan con tortilla and it did not disappoint! 🙌 There was no wait, the food came out quickly, and it was super tasty. You can tell they really know how to make the classics right. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back!
OK, I must say I went there without any expectation. Went for the basic traditional Media Noche sandwich. Wasn’t really expecting anything superior to any other one that I’ve had. Will honestly say it was the best Media Noche I’ve ever had. I’ve been eating the sandwich since 1990 when I moved down to Miami. Always got a flat pressed decent to good tasting sandwich. What I ate today was nothing short of outstanding. Really surprised that I have not heard of this place before. The sandwich was so meat filled. Hints a fat here and there just to bring extra flavor to the sandwich. Everything was so tender and properly cooked. My review is solely based off of this sandwich. Would definitely eat the sandwich again. I was originally gonna go for a Cuban. Yet I introduced my friend to the media Noche. So just to go along with him I said let me have one myself. Was not flat pressed. In height, I can compare it to a burger length was just as good as any other Media noche sandwich. Everything was right the amount of condiments, pickles, and cheese. Gotta say it was really flavorful. Crazy how you can eat this sandwich for over 30 years and always come across one that has been better than all the ones you’ve previously had.
This place was amazing!!!!! Found it by chance and so happy I did! Food was phenomenal! Staff was very friendly! Coffee was out of this world! I will be back for sure!
Good place, the colada cuban breakfast wrap was delicious. My iced latte was a bit sweet even though I specified to not add a lot of caramel flavor. Overall, service was quick, and we had a good first time experience visiting this location in Fort Lauderdale.
We split the Havana hangover breakfast sandwich, it was delicious if you love flavor this is your place. The empanadas are on point beef and chicken both.
3/21/25—-I woke up today with a strong craving for a good Cuban café con leche and a crispy tostada. Google told me the closest spot near my hotel, so I followed the map like a hungry explorer. My husband had a business lunch, but he kindly dropped me off and even shared a quick coffee with me before rushing off to talk numbers and shake hands. So there I was—alone but not lonely—ready to enjoy my Cuban breakfast adventure. The place was buzzing with people when I arrived. Parking is in the back, and there are a few chairs and tables outside. Dogs are allowed too, but only the well-behaved, non-service ones get the VIP sidewalk seating. This café is not your grandma’s Cuban corner restaurant. It’s like if a Cuban abuela met Starbucks and they opened a place together. Very modern, very "Café Havana meets trendy brunch spot." I asked for scrambled eggs and tostadas, but somehow I ended up with a sandwich. Did I complain? No. I'm too wise for that. I simply took it apart like a sandwich surgeon and ate my eggs and tostada separately. Sandwiches just don’t speak to my soul. Still, everything I ordered was delicious—the croquetas, the empanadas, and even the rice pudding I took to-go. Oh, and the orange juice? So fresh it probably had dreams of being an orange just five minutes before. The vibe? Think less salsa, more jazzy-pop fusion. It’s Cuban, but it’s also... eclectic. It’s got that "Starbucksy" feel, but with way better food. I did wonder for a second, “Is this one of those Americanized Cuban spots?” But it’s not trying too hard. It’s walking the line, and I respect that. I sat outside, ordered my Lyft, and waited 18 minutes—just enough time to soak in the vibe, people-watch, and pretend I’m a mysterious local on a breakfast mission. My only suggestion? During the busy hours, a second register would help move things along. But hey, they’re not Dunkin’. Final word: Good food. Good vibe. Worth the visit. Would recommend—especially if you're okay eating a sandwich... your own way.
Nice atmosphere. Nice people. The pork was perfectly cooked the ham had a nice cook as well. All the flavors where there. Left Florida 8 years ago and no one in Colorado by the Wyoming browser in Fort Collins can make a decent Cuban sandwich. It’s worth a 2,000mile trip just for this sandwich. Stay well see ya next time where in town.
Wow, this was just an amazing meal to end my trip to Florida. The Cuban sandwich was my favorite. Great bread, meat, and toppings. It was perfectly crispy and the pork was cooked beautifully. I feel confident recommending anything from their menu. The staff takes care to make a great experience. I'll be back when I'm in the area.
I love Colada and I stop in here every time I’m in the Fort Lauderdale area. They serve delicious Cuban breakfast and lunch dishes. They also offer a great selection of Cuban pastries and desserts. I like the flan and guava pastries with my coffee. I ordered a breakfast sandwich which was served on a soft, fluffy croissant. The folded egg, ham and cheese was the perfect combination of flavor on the sweet croissant. They have the freshest orange juice and hot Cuban coffee. Lunch choices will also satisfy your hunger. The pollo a la pancha was full of flavor and I’m picky about rice and beans. I wasn’t disappointed and enjoyed the shoestring fries served as a side. If you’re in the neighborhood this is the perfect place for breakfast or lunch!
Excellent Cubano! Delicious cheese pastry! ❤️ I’ll be back for sure when in town. Thank you!
Place is clean. Price is great for lunch
This place is amazing. From the friendly staff to the full of flavor food and coffee. Tried the steak and eggs and the hangover breakfast. The steak and egg had a citrus flavor steak and mix well with all the flavor. It was like an explosion in my mouth. The hanover sandwich was as amazing.. The Cuban bread was fresh and so delicious. Talking about it makes my mouth water. I had the colada with sugar of course and it just got my day going.. will be coming back and trying new dishes.
I love enjoying Cuban breakfast specialties when I can get them, so when visiting the Las Olas area and seeing this place very close, I went in for some empanadas for breakfast. They have croquettes, empanadas, savory pastries, and full breakfasts, including sandwiches, even Cubanos. On my visit, I opted for a spinach and a chicken empanada, a chorizo and cheese croquette, and a beef pastry. I also ordered their spicy sauce, which was a mayo-based sauce with hardly any spice to it. The empanadas were really good, with the spinach being my favorite. The beef pastry was decent and the croquette was nice too. Service was friendly. The place was steamy hot on the morning I went, like the AC was broken. I’d definitely return when in the area though, as they have so much to try.
As part of my Yelp's first 10 list I had Colada. Some of my friends have told me how amazing this place is, then the reviews and pictures on Yelp, prove them right. I admit, I did not finish my list this year, but I was determined to try this one. It's a bit of a drive for me but, since the Holidays come with days off, I took advantage of this and made my way down on a Friday. They have parking garage right behind the restaurant - very convenient. I got there a bit before my friend so got us a table and waited a bit. Once she arrived, we went up to the counter to order. Honestly I wanted to try everything but, we all know what happens when you eat with your eyes... so I decided to be rational and only ordered what I could eat. Which means I have to go back to try more. This time I had their Café con Leche (no sugar). So good! They have some flavors to add, but really I don't think they're necessary. I also ordered a croqueta and a Media Noche. The Media Noche is perfect! Sweet Bread, generous amount of meat, pickles inside the sandwich and on the side. Portion is BIG! Enough for two, especially if you want to try other things on the menu. I was only able to eat half, and the one croqueta which was also delicious! The day before, and on my friend's IG, I had seen pictures of their Flan Cheescake. Since it was during the Holidays, and I have family visiting I purchased one whole one to go. When I ordered it the guy told me, in a joking voice, "people are going to hate you, you just got the last one!". I said "hide it, and I'll get it on my way out". He asked me to put my name on a piece of paper, and taped it to the last Flan so no one would take it from me. Really appreciated him doing that, especially when that night, at home, with my family they all were LOVING, the dessert I had brought them. Way to make me look good!! ;) This flan is amazing! Reminds me of the Cheese flan I make but without the process of baking it myself :p How perfect is that?!!? Service can be a little slow, they forgot part of my order and I had to go twice to the counter to remind them but still really liked this place and, even though is a drive for me, I'm already looking forward to go back.

This is my second time coming in a week. It is delicious and affordable! The coffee is great and the staff is very friendly.

Delicious Little gem for Coffee breakfast or lunch, you can feel the Cuban history looking at the photo wall feeling like a guest in the living room. Had the Colada bfast wrap, delicious def recommend, their coffee is delicious, pastries are fresh, crispy and just heaven on first bite. Service is great and very friendly. Tres leche…. I don’t have to explain just come and try it.
Amazing food. Authentic cuban taste. My family and I came on spring break vacation and really wanted some Spanish food. We ordered the churrasco steak sandwich and breakfast sandwich. I didn’t take a pic of my sandwich because it was so delicious but my son took a pic of his breakfast sandwich. Definitely will be coming back.

me, Jenn Lee property manager at Turtle Nest Bungalow review: Colada Cuban Café is a quick under-5-minute drive from our short-term rental and a classic South Florida stop you really shouldn’t skip. When you’re here, Cuban coffee is a must, and Colada delivers on that front along with a wide variety of specialty Cuban and Latin favorites. I tried the bacon & egg breakfast sandwich — it was a bit overpriced, but the Cuban bread was the real standout and absolutely delicious. In hindsight, I should’ve leaned more into their bakery items, which is really where this place shines: croquetas, empanadas, tequeños (Latin-style cheese sticks), and fritas are all crowd favorites and perfect for a quick bite or sharing. If you’re visiting Fort Lauderdale and want an authentic Cuban coffee experience with classic comfort foods, Colada Cuban Café is worth the stop. ☕
I was looking for a good Cuban pork sandwich and this one definitely satisfied my taste buds. It was perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. The pastries and coffee were also very good.
First time in town. Was referred by someone who eats here regularly. I ordered the breakfast sampler platter. The food was delicious. Flavor profile was spot on and absolutely amazing and portions were very generous. I have two small critiques about my food. I requested crispy breakfast potatoes and they looked as though they would be crispy based on the appearance. Unfortunately they were not, they were actually very soft. Immediately I can tell that they had been sitting and losing heat. The breakfast potatoes were not hot like the other items on the plate. They definitely were sitting. My only other issue is the amount of ice in my watermelon lemonade. The cup was literally packed to the top with ice. I had about four sips of lemonade and it was gone. The lemonade was delicious so that sucked. Outside of these two small things this my meal was great. I would 100% come back.

Stopped by Colada Cuban Bakery in Fort Lauderdale and ordered ahead online, placing my order about 15 minutes in advance. Unfortunately, it still took a very long time to get my food once I arrived. The shop felt clearly understaffed, and the pace was slow despite having a preorder ready. The space is cute and has a nice vibe, and I can see the potential here, but the wait time really took away from the experience—especially when ordering ahead is supposed to save time. With better staffing and faster execution, this could easily be a stronger spot.

So I'll start off that I love the food and the coffee. When it comes to service, it's where this place fails. It used to be great, you'd be treated with a smiling face saying good morning. Lately though.... no one smiles, you stand around waiting on take-out orders (no call out system) unless you're watching for your own food. Bad energy these days and taking my business somewhere else until someone takes responsibility and manages their store. You are in the service industry, please do better so I can return to enjoy the food.
The coffee is very good here - \nIt's not a vibey place to hang out \nThe staff was helpful and friendly.

So I ordered the churrasco wrap to go. I guess they were out of steak because they gave me some compressed chewy flattened type of sausage. It was definitely not steak. $17 and over $21 out the door. With tax and tip. Thanks for the disappointing experience. I will never come back.
