My cousins took me out for my 50th birthday. Kaluz sits on the intracoastal on commercial blvd. You get beautiful views of the water. Valet is $5.00, there’s a few parking spots in front of the restaurant but expect to valet when it’s busy. The food was amazing, I had a New York strip, it was cooked perfectly and came with a huge baked potato. Elaine, our server for the evening, was great! She had a wonderful personality and kept our evening moving smoothly.
Great night out! Waited at the bar for our table to be ready. Had dinner outside nice view of boats docking up and the water. I tried tuna tartar for the first time and I was so happy that I ordered it here because it was delicious. Salmon was light and juicy. Definitely recommend if you still haven’t had dinner with them yet.
Kaluz Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale offers a great dining experience with a beautiful waterfront setting. The atmosphere is upscale yet relaxed, making it perfect for both a special night out or a casual meal. The menu is well-rounded with fresh, flavorful dishes, and everything we ordered was prepared perfectly.
Great ambiance, service and food! We dined at the bar outside. This was our 2nd time here and we enjoyed it again; ordered a cucumber martini, smoked salmon dip, guacamole & chips, and Cesar plan salmon w/rice & mashed potatoes and had the espresso affogato for dessert 😋
While visiting the WONDERFUL Wellington animal conservation center (a must visit for kids and adults), we looked for a place to eat that was close. The menu at Kaluz stood out. We arrived just as they opened at 1130am. Surprisingly, the restaurant was already fully staffed. We took a seat outside as it was a beautiful day. Our waitress Tara came to greet us. We explained this was our first time here and any recommendations would be welcomed. Immediately she gave us the run down of the restaurant. She let us know everything is made in-house from scratch, even the sauces. Also all cocktails were scratch made, no store bought mixers. My friend and I were open to suggestions as everything sounded so good. Tara asked if we wanted to put in the kids order and get that started right away while we decided. I appreciated this very much. My daughter also didn’t want to decide on one thing, so she got the chicken fingers and fries as well as the pasta with red sauce. We were able to pick out what cocktails we wanted first. I had the spicy watermelon margarita and my friend had the Key West Rickety. Both were amazing and were perfect for our pallets. Then we ordered the Brussel sprout appetizers and the octopus appetizer. It was very difficult to narrow it down to just two. I personally feel that Brussel spouts for an appetizer is kinda weird. They seem more like a side dish. The menu does state they are tossed in a garlic aioli. They tasted AMAZING! Next time I will ask for the aioli on the side to dip them in, as it was a very big portion and we had to take them home and I’m not sure how they will reheat. But 10 out of 10 for the Brussel spouts. I’ll get them every time. The octopus….. I love octopus. But this, hands down, was the top 3 octopus dishes I’ve ever had. Tara explained how the spicy aioli with the pico really enhance the flavor. I was skeptical because good octopus shouldn’t need anything else right? So wrong. Eating the octopus, with the pico, and the sauce all as one bite did some dancing on our pallets. The sauce was so good I dipped a few fries in it as well. I could eat that sauce on everything! The octopus was on a bed of roasted potatoes. The potatoes were very good, especially in the sauce. But I didn’t feel that they added anything to the dish like the pico and sauce. My daughter got her pasta and chicken fingers with fries. She was a very happy camper. We did try her food and it was really good! You could tell even the chicken tenders were made scratch. The batter was very tasty. My daughter said they were the best French fries she ever had. The pasta was corkscrew pasta, which the menu didn’t specify. So when it came out she didn’t want to try it, as she only likes spaghetti. But we tried the pasta and decided not to send it back because it was so good and we’ll eat it for a late night snack. I ended up ordering what Tara said her favorite meal there was - NY strip steak (medium) with truffle butter, creamed spinach, with an addition of a crab cake. My friend ordered the salmon (rare) with the wild rice and asparagus. Most restaurants never cook the salmon the way she likes it done. But this was cooked perfectly. The rice was technically long grain rice with some wild rice. The asparagus was perfect. My steak was an absolute perfect medium. The butter did not have a strong truffle flavor and was more herby. We all would 100% order everything we ate again. Although it would be hard not to try new things, as everything there was impeccable. Everything from the ambiance, to the service, to the food was amazing. It was a great experience, something I feel restaurants lack nowadays. We will absolutely go back, recommend to everyone, and if I could rate it more than 5 stars I would!
Kaluz is always a vibe... when the weather is comfortable, get seated outside... the view is incredible watching the yachts/boats pass by... I like to try the seasonal chef suggestions when it comes to my meal, just to keep things interesting... just make sure to leave room for dessert! The options are beyond delicious.... I love the bread pudding and the banana cake!
Celeste greeted us warmly and helped us select a wonderful table for our party. The food was excellent! Our server, Maria, made sure we were satisfied with every choice, and her recommendations were spot on and absolutely delicious. The manager was also very attentive, which made the entire experience even better!
We were amazed by this restaurant ! The portions are big and the steak was hot and delicious, something we always struggle with. The coconut shrimp delicious . The crab cakes were ok … The view is beautiful
AMAZING Good Friday dinner at Kaluz Restaurant on a stunning evening looking out at the Intercoastal!!! I met up with a friend who dines here a lot, & I see why she loves it!!! The atmosphere is phenomenal. Indoor dining area is elegant and chic. Outdoor dining areas are more chill, but with a much better view of the water. Their is an outdoor bar next to a formal dining area and a casual seating spot. The food was delicious! We split the Tuna tartar and the crab salad for the Friday fish holiday. Large portions, fresh seafood, and unbeatable festive vibe. There was a 45 minute wait for a table at 7 pm. Service was top notch too. Valet parking. Highly recommen Kaluz Restaurant !!!
We were seated promptly for our reservation! Carmen was hands down the best server- she explained the specials food and drinks with her personal recommendations! Our drinks were good and a good pour! The food was a great temp and very flavorful! The salmon dip was the best ever! We will surely be back here again!

Oksana is the most detailed and attentive server we have EVER sat with in all of our years at Kaluz. She is absolutely fabulous and a has the most charming personality. Seriously request her, her professionalism does not compare to the other workers there. I mean this with the utmost respect as management does a great job in training their staff. But she is pleasant and super knowledgeable. & she’s bi-lingual French Spanish Ukrainian She’s awesome

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Kaluz. With a reservation, we were seated at a beautiful table right by the canal, which set the tone for a perfect evening. Our server was attentive and welcoming, and the food was fresh and flavorful. I had the yellowtail snapper, and we ended the night by sharing a decadent salted caramel brownie. Highly recommend Kaluz for a romantic date night or special dinner.
My first the here and it was a perfect day to sit outside. Beautiful view, beautiful weather and great company. We started with the steak meatballs.. so juicy, huge portion for an appetizer and full of flavor. Then the grilled octopus. I've never had octopus before so I was TERRIFIED of what the texture would be. This was seasoned to perfection but not too much. I little spicy was no overpowering. Texture i would compare to calamari but thicker. Next the calamari lol. The best I've ever tried anywhere. Coconut shrimp was next and let me say that I am not a fan of coconut shrimp... BUT this dish was not drenched in coconut like other places. The cranberry sauce that it was paired with made a great combination. Too full for an entree but my company insisted on the lamb burger. I love it!!! Wehad it medium rate. Very juicy, literally juices falling from it. I think it was an aioli sauce they used in not sure but whatever it was brought it all together. I had a great time. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Definitely spinning the block on this one!!
My first time here and woww.. i didn’t expect the food will taste sooo good like really really good we ordered some appetizers and tge grilled octopus was the highlight of the night i love grilled octopus and honestly it’s so hard to find a place that make it good and this place did just perfect. All the dish are delicious drinks also tasty. Nice atmosphere amazing service highly recommended

I came here for dinner with a friend and it was so good. The food yum, atmosphere chill and the service really good. We with the outdoor dining so enjoy the views of the water. Please note a reservation is not required for outdoor dining. They seat you once a table becomes available. Also, the valet is free they work off tips. So if you hardly carry cash, make sure you have it to tip the gentlemen in valet. Okay, let's get into the real reason you're here the FOOD! We started with the octopus which is a popular starter, however we had to ask our server for that particular dish because it was not on the menu. Main courses my I had Kaluz Chilean Seabass and my friend had the. Cedar Plank Salmon. They were both delicious. The restaurant is family friendly and overall has a welcoming vibe. I highly recommend for family outing, dating night, or just dinner with a friend.
Started with the oysters & meatballs. Went so quickly wasn’t able to take a photo. 😂Enjoyed the crab salad, the fillet and baked potato is always a hit, The surf and turf was very good and the Seabass was yummy for those who enjoy that fish. Washed everything down with a bottle of Quilt. Finished with a slice of key lime. Recommend having a meal here if in the area. It is a bit loud, for those who aren’t from the US, as our guests who were visiting mentioned. All and all, we will be back. Great experience.
One of the best dining experiences of a long time. The food was great, the atmosphere pleasant and our server was the best. From start to finish he knew everything about the menu and each dish. What impressed us the most about him was that he remembered every order to perfection and never missed a beat. My grandkids were so impressed that they decided to tip him above and beyond our already generous tip. Certainly I will recommend this place to all of my friends and business partners worldwide.
Kaluz Restaurant is our favorite "go-to" restaurant for hosting visiting friends and family, and special occasions. We always sit outside because the air is fresh and view is wonderful. Even in the rain it's a great experience, the staff make sure the umbrellas are open and everyone stays dry. The food is wonderful, no matter your order. We've visited often enough that we have enjoyed almost everything on the menu. The prime rib is juicy and cooked perfectly. You owe it to yourself to at least try this amazing restaurant.
Wife and I celebrated a birthday dinner with family. We were not pleased with the seating when we arrived. We made reservations and were seated next to a clear container that housed wet towels for the bus boy or wait staff to clean off tables. Everytime a waitstaff or bus boy walked by to changed their wet towel, my wife and I would get wet from the splashes. I informed the hostess and were relocated to the next table over. We kept our same waiter and he was very knowledgeable of the menu but spoke too fast. We were seated across the bar which made it hard to hear our waiter. Our food was amazingly delicious. Our party was very happy with the crab cakes, salad, barbecue ribs, loaded potatoes, and rib eye steak. The lemonade needed more sugar and the coke was a bit watered down. We had a good time and the service was superb. My wife and I recommended this place after we experienced the food last February on our wedding anniversary. Large portions, food seasoned to perfection, fast service, knowledgeable staff, and diverse atmosphere. We will be back!
Beautiful view of the Intercoastal. Fancy decor, dimmed lights. Visited on a Wednesday night and the place was packed. Valet parking. The food was excellent! My favorite was the calamari. We also tried the salmon dip, a flat bread, meatballs and the pork chops. Oh and the pecan brownie with ice cream was delish. All dishes were tasty and plated nicely, pricey but very good service and quality, as expected from an upper scale rest.
Amazing food, amazing view! We had the octopus appetizer and it was delicious. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for here.
*** ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING *** This was my first time at Kaluz restaurant and boy was I impressed. The ambiance and decor here is next level. The staff were courteous and friendly. My server was professional, knowledgeable, and took care of our party well. The food is mouth-watering. The fish was fresh and delicious, and the side dishes were just as good. This place is a must if you're in the area. The parking is complimentary. Highly Recommended. 5-stars!
1. Went to bar outside for happy hour . BEN was top. TOP. Sevice , suggestions and vibe! TOP. 2. Had pleasure to of meeting Casandra and Rhode at hostess stand. Name of stand is underrated. Should be called top customer service , top welcome , top great feeling . Top top top. Thank you to all. KUDOS Ben, Casandra and Rhode!!!!!!!
I absolutely love this restaurant in Ft Lauderdale. We had the roasted chicken and Salmon. We also had the coconut shrimp OMG amazing. Even the tea selection was really good. The staff is really great. They have valet parking. They even had a few boats and yachts pulling up for dinner reservations. Indoor and outdoor dining
I was very excited to go to this particular location. I am a huge fan of the restaurant and I was not surprised to see the consistency. I have my challenges with allergies and they were super considerate. Not only is the food quality outstanding but the service was too. Our server was a great man that was exquisitely trained. He didn't rush us along and it got very busy while we were there. He was doing a great job from when it was quiet to when it was super busy and taking care of us. Enjoy your dinner here.! You certainly will not be disappointed. If you have enjoyed my review, please give me a thumbs up 👍 and feel free to follow me for other future reviews. 😀
We had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant. Not only were we seated promptly for our reservation, but our server Gabriel was exceptional. 😊 He took the time to explain the specials and made personal recommendations for both food and drinks. Speaking of drinks, they were delicious and generously poured. 🤗 The food was also top-notch, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. We particularly enjoyed the filet mignon, which was the best we've ever had. 😋 Needless to say, we will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.😻
This place is first come first serve also no reservations but you can go outside and sit and wait for your table and you’ll have a wonderful time out on the patio bar or the couches that are there. The food is awesome. When you walk up, you’ll smell the oven cooking that wood recommend anything on the grill you won’t be disappointed even if it’s just a hamburger they’re off the chain they better be for 20 bucks but they’re worth it. You won’t be disappointed with the atmosphere and the service here if they get busy sometimes the service is a little slow but all in all what a great place to go. They do have three other locations but their best location is this one on commercial and the intercoastal you get to see the beautiful boats and you get a nice breeze when you’re sitting outside.
From the moment you enter the restaurant you are already in paradise. We visited for the first time this weekend for lunch and were surprised by the beautiful decor, amazing service and delicious food. We ordered the recommended wines, the right amount of appetizers and the delicious dessert. It was worth the 1+ hr drive. Next time we will sit by the dock and enjoy and al fresco dinner.
Food was great, and while the dessert selection was just okay, everything else more than made up for it. The ambience was fantastic and our server was absolutely awesome—sweet, attentive, and clearly juggling a lot, yet she handled it like a pro. She truly killed it. The most memorable part of our experience, though, was the valet—Jake. When another valet brought our keys back and told us the car wouldn’t start, Jake immediately stepped in. He took the keys, asked how to start the car, and after we explained our low-battery situation (which is admittedly a bit complicated), he refused to let us walk out to deal with it ourselves. Instead, he ran back to the car and made it work. That level of care and initiative is rare. Jake genuinely wanted us to leave with a great experience, and it absolutely showed. Exceptional customer service all around.
Kaluz never disappoints, we went for a nice lunch and sat outside with a beautiful view of the water. Our server Seth was absolutely fantastic. He gave great recommendations and we started with the calamari and pear and prosciutto flatbread. We then decided on the ribs and poke bowl for our meals and everything was delicious. Seth very kind and made us feel very welcomed. Will definitely be back for more and make sure to ask for Seth as well.
aiden was The best waiter! he made sure every detail was covered! A++ for Aiden! Been here many times . Food always great. HUGE disappointment that when it was freezing this weekend and their heating system was not working, NO ONE thought to warm up the restaurant for patrons by renting heaters for those who needed it! thumbs down! So thoughtless. patrons walking out ! we stayed and hurried through.
My husband and I celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary here tonight [6/10/24], with a couple of family members. We were promptly seated on the patio, as requested. There was nice seating and decor. There were allso beautiful views of the city. We started with the salmon dip, meatballs, and calamari. Our entrees included a bone-in ribeye steak with a loaded baked potato, chicken breast with parmesan mashed potatoes, and baked salmon with asparagus & wild rice. Every bite of food was delicious...tasted as good as it looked. We completed the meal with a complimentary slice of key lime pie. Yummy 😋
Don’t go for the Happy Hour, that sucks! Everything else is amazing - great drinks, apps and entrees. Service at the bar was excellent and fun atmosphere! On a side note, paying for parking???? Come on give me a break, yes the food is good, limited parking options is their problem…. Just suck it up, I guess. Still give a 5+ for everything else!
Truly amazing dinning experience. Great view of the intercoastal, impeccable decor, excellent service. We had the Chilean Sea Bass, and filet medallions. The presentation and taste was put of this world. A must experience.
Really nice place..we did not have reservations but we took the hour n half waitlist but it was about 15-20 max wait. We ate outside as nite was perfect. Views r amazing but ok food .. meatballs were absolutely delicious really the best I’ve had in a while…shrimp was nice but I think dish of nite was the ribs as there was nothing left. Chicken was ok but I do wish it would have a vegetable as part of order plus some more sauce. We ordered key lime pie and it was nice n tart. But unfortunately my dessert was missed. On another I will try the banana cake. One rather important issue I blanked out on mentioning.. pls look at your bills when u are going to pay. They forgot to clear the prior check for the table and we were being charged for that bill plus ours. Almost 600 bucks after 4 revisions they finally got it right. The bill was passed around to 3 different waiters.. our bill was actually one third of that original amount. Of course many folks after a few drinks just give a card and go but I have learned to look at the bill, review, tip and pay! All in all it was pleasant
We were lucky enough to get a table on the dock in the early evening hours. It started off with open umbrellas to keep the temperature more comfortable and as the night went on they closed the umbrellas so you could see the evening sky. The ambiance in that area of the restaurant was very quiet and romantic. The food was delicious, we both got drinks and a bacon cheeseburger. The key lime pie was very good as well. My husband and I enjoyed watching the boats go up and down the intracoastal while we enjoyed dinner. We'll definitely visit again when we're in South Florida!
Went for dinner ( Make a reservation) Everything was amazing. Beautiful restaurant, staff was great. The food is amazing. Started out with the Fire Roasted Octopus. Spicy and amazing flavor. We also had the Tenderloin Oscar. It was wonderful , great flavor, and the steak cooked perfect MR. We also had the yellowtail snapper with shrimp. The fish was cooked to perfection. Great flavor and a nice smokienes from cooking. We ended with the bread pudding. What a great restaurant with wonderful food and great wait staff. We will be back soon.
Came here for my onboarding work lunch and had such a good experience with our waiter Geo 5/5 stars. Would go back 1000x. Amazing experience all around the food was soo good. Atmosphere is so nice and fancy.
Sat outside to celebrate a friends work event. Was a nice time. The servers were extremely diligent and brought drinks and food quick. Overall we had a good time. The restaurant was large and had plenty of seating. We were able to sit outside by the couches. We had a large yacht pull up and block some of our view but that was also part of the experience! It is more on the expensive side but food was very tasty and delicious.
What a wonderful location! The staff is welcoming and pleasant, offering excellent customer service. Our party of 6 people ordered drinks, appetizers to share and individual entrees, each of which were excellent. We ordered several different desserts and we were delighted with each one. Edison was an awesome server and the rest of the team was very helpful. We will be back! Side note: I had the Caipirina and it didn't carry the punch that I have come to expect.
We had a wonderful dining experience at Kaluz! The atmosphere was stylish yet comfortable, and the food was absolutely delicious—beautifully presented and full of flavor. Every dish we ordered was fresh and thoughtfully prepared, making the entire meal feel special. What truly elevated our experience, though, was our server Cici. She was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Cici made great recommendations, checked on us at just the right moments, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout the evening. Her professionalism and warm personality added a personal touch that made the night even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be returning to Kaluz and hope to be served by Cici again. Highly recommend for both the food and the outstanding service
This is truly one of my favorite restaurants. Every time I visit, I enjoy the atmosphere, the service, and the overall experience. The food is really good — fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. The menu has a good variety of options, and everything I have tried so far has been satisfying. It’s a place where you can count on a good meal every time. What I absolutely love the most is sitting outside by the water. The setting is incredibly pleasant and relaxing. Feeling the gentle breeze, hearing the sounds of the water, and watching the sunset creates such a beautiful atmosphere. It makes every visit feel special and peaceful. If you’re looking for a spot with good food, friendly service, and a perfect outdoor waterfront experience, this place is definitely worth visiting.
My family and I had a lovely meal here and really enjoyed the experience. Our server was friendly and provided great recommendations, which made choosing easy. We especially enjoyed the shrimp flatbread, spicy tuna, and the crab salad, all were fresh and flavorful. The setting right on the water added to the atmosphere and made it a very relaxing place to dine. We would definitely come back.
Great restaurant! Well-priced for its food, location, and scenic view. I went with my family and ordered the duck, which was delicious. The flatbread and calamari make excellent shareable appetizers. Our server, Leticia, was very kind and provided great recommendations based on our party size. The bathrooms are nice and very clean. The $5 valet is the only parking option, but it’s convenient and well worth it.

Visiting Kaluz for the first time for our Anniversary dinner. I couldn’t ask for a better service. From the minute we pulled up the valet attendant was very polite. Walked in to the podium the employees greeting us with a smile and even said Happy Anniversary to us. It was a bit chilly but we chose to sit outside by the water. The views and the ambiance were perfect. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Now to our waiter Guilherme was outstanding. We order our appetizers first they came out quickly. He let us take our time eating our appetizers first before coming back around to order our Entrees. We did not feel rushed at all. Over all experience 10 out of 10. Would definitely one back again and would love for Guilherme to be our server again. William
I’ve had the veggie burger, the Keylime crab salad, and the Thai shrimp salad so far and they were all delicious! I sat at the bar each time and had great service. I look forward to my next visit. I’ve repeated them all and it’s been consistently good. I look forward to trying something different.
A great spot for a group or romantic dinner. It was an enjoyable experience all around! Starting with the great service, delicious cocktails and wine selection. Highly recommend the ribs, tuna steak and any of the seafood options- you can’t go wrong. Back to the ribs, they were high quality, super tender, perfectly seasoned and accompanied by the best French fries ❤️. Also recommend the Brussel sprouts app. The view was so amazing I forgot to take pictures of our food. Will definitely be back to explore the menu soon
As a regular customer at Kaluz Plantation we finally made reservation to try Kaluz, Ft. Lauderdale, since Keyon transferred there to train for Manager. Our desire to sit on patio by water was not possible due to long wait. From the phone call to make reservation with Grace then switched to inside, our hostess, , Nuna, greeted us to direct us to patio, to Finia, who made the final switch we were seated by Journey to our table, Elaine, delightful and very friendly server took it from there and we could not have had a better night. The service all around from the first phone call to the dining experience was absolutely amazing. Not to fail to mention we were there to see Keyon he greeted us before we went to our table. This restaurant has a very special vibe! The restaurant has a magnificent atmosphere, the food was superb, fresh, tasty, then to top it off, our dessert, “ Going Bananas,” made the whole experience amazing!
Kaluz offers a fantastic dining experience with fresh, flavorful food. I had the homemade veggie burger, and it was absolutely delicious—one of the best I’ve ever had. The setting by the water added to the ambiance, making the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food and a beautiful waterfront view!
Excellent service. Smoke Salmon dip is delicious. Highly recommend the yellowtail snapper with shrimp and wild rice, request the Cajun seasoning to spice things up. Also try the full slab of baby back ribs KC style Excellent.
We go to Kaluz every year when we come down and it's always one the highlights of our trip. It's our fancy dinner place. I think the best way to describe it is perfection. From the valets to the hostesses and especially the servers. Everyone is on they A game and there to make you feel special. I'd give them 6 stars.
"I had an amazing experience at Kaluz! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. A special shout-out to her, (I can’t remember her name) who was especially kind and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was warm, and the service was impeccable. The food was delicious, and the overall experience was unforgettable. Thank you to the wonderful team at Kaluz for making our visit so special. We will definitely be back!
We enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Our server Lora was a very sweet lady. We got a citrus ahi tuna which was really good, the combination of fruits and tuna was really balanced. Their burger was alright and unfortunately we had to wait about 30 minutes for the burger. Overall it is a nice place and I would come back to check out their patio section
My sister-in-law brought us here before our flight home to Michigan. It was the perfect spot to end our vacation. We sat on the patio in a nice gentle breeze and watched the huge ships glide by. The crab salad with lime and the flatbread pizza were both delicious. And, to top it off MacKenzie was our waitress and she just made the whole experience delightful♥️
What an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious. The service was just as impressive. Our server, Oksana, was attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcome from start to finish. She checked in at the perfect times and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Great food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it!
Absolutely wonderful! We come every year during our vacation, and love it every single time! We had the Ribs and the Thai salad with Shrimp, both were to die for. Brent, our waiter, was the best, he treated us like kings! Thank you so much! See you next year
My first time here and woww.. i didn’t expect the food will taste sooo good like really really good we ordered some appetizers and tge grilled octopus was the highlight of the night i love grilled octopus and honestly it’s so hard to find a place that make it good and this place did just perfect.
We started the night outside under a bright, glowing moon, enjoying drinks and the warm breeze before heading to our table overlooking the beautiful Intracoastal. The view alone is worth the visit. Boats passing by, soft lights on the water, and that relaxed coastal atmosphere that makes the evening feel special. The food was just as memorable. The coconut shrimp were absolutely delicious . Crispy, lightly sweet, and perfectly cooked. We also shared the BBQ chicken flatbread, which had a wonderful balance of flavors and was a great starter for the table. For dinner, the Thai noodle dish with shrimp was outstanding. The shrimp were tender and the sauce had just the right amount of heat. Tasted flavorful without overpowering the dish. The key lime crab salad was bright, fresh, and uniquely Florida in the best way. And the pork chop was perfectly prepared . It was juicy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Great food, attentive service, and one of the most relaxing waterfront settings around. Kaluz delivered a five-star evening from start to finish. We’ll absolutely be back.
Always an enjoyable evening. The staff is very pleasant. What the difference was tonight is that after being seated at 6pm reservation, and drinks + a bottle of wine, I felt like too many people were hovering over our table at about 7:15. In fact, I made note of the time because I am respectful that a 2 hour max on a Fri evening so they can reseat the table. Felt a bit rushed at that point. Overall, a nice evening and everyone enjoyed their meal.
Absolutely phenomenal experience! From the moment we arrived, the restaurant impressed us with its breathtaking waterfront views — the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening. The ambience strikes the perfect balance between elegant and relaxed, making it ideal for any occasion. The food was nothing short of extraordinary — every dish beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and cooked to perfection. The desserts were decadent and a true highlight of the meal. The drinks menu was just as impressive, with expertly crafted cocktails and a thoughtfully curated selection of wines to suit every palate. Our server was incredibly attentive and genuinely friendly, adding a personal touch that made us feel welcome and cared for throughout our bussines dinner. If you’re looking for a place that combines amazing food, exquisite drinks, stunning views, and top-notch service, this is it. We cannot wait to return!
Overall, a good restaurant with excellent service and a very well-prepared cocktails. My husband's ribs were a little dry, and the crab salad was so-so; the presentation could have been more refined. The bread pudding was delicious.
Kaluz Restaurant — decent, but nothing special. The ambiance is nice and the food is solid, but nothing truly stands out. Dishes are well-presented and the flavors are fine, just not memorable. The main point — the service. Friendly, but a bit slow and not as attentive as you’d expect at this level. A firm 4/5. Bottom line: good if you’re in the area, but not worth a special trip.
Atmosphere was beautiful and serene. Sevice was quick and professional. Food portion was great seasoning was surprisingly lacking but i worked with it and was satisfied.

Kaluz is solid. Great spot on the water with a clean, upscale vibe. The outdoor tables are a little tight, so expect to hear nearby conversations, but the view and atmosphere are worth it. The bourbon espresso martini is always on point—strong, smooth, and well-made. I had the Maple Leaf Duck Confit, and it was excellent. Rich flavor, cooked just right, and the sides worked perfectly. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to.
Kaluz Kitchen is mediocre at best. The cuisine is good and the atmosphere is pleasant, but nothing really sticks out. The flavors and presentation of the dishes are good, but they are not very memorable. The service is the primary focus. friendly, but a little slow and less focused than one might anticipate at this level. A solid 4/5. In summary, it's not worth a special journey, but it's fine if you're nearby.
This is a great restaurant aesthetically. The service was slow in the kitchen for some of my parties food. The server was great. I just think a party of 12 may have been a bit for him. The food wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Nothing stood out about the food at all. I mean I'd go back just to give them another shot because it is a beautiful place. Valet is only 5 dollars so that's a plus. It's cool.
This place has great ambiance, delicious food, and excellent service. Panoramic view of the intercoastal to enjoy over a nice conversation and cocktail. Extensive wine menu and an overall varied menu with a ton of great options. I got the Chilean sea bass and my only complaint was that the portion was extremely small. Also think they should have more gluten free/dairy free options.
Birthday celebration for my niece. The wait was a little long, but we had drinks at the outside bar while we waited. We ordered the coconut shrimp, steak and mushroom flatbread, prime rib, NY Strip, and Duck confit. Food was served as ordered, tender, juicy amd just yummy. Our server Tony was super pleasant. Will return.
One of my favorite restaurants to go to for a good meal. You can choose the indoor dining which is awesome with the floor to ceiling windows or choose outside and sit right on the water. The staff are all amazing and the food is great as well. I’ve never had to make a reservation but I recommend doing so on the weekends or evenings. Update 7 years later and with a more refined palate. I ordered the roasted chicken which was okay. I wish the lemon had been grilled and I couldn’t really taste any parmesan in the mashed potatoes. The chicken was juicy but could've been seasoned a little more, I give it a solid 7 out of 10. The crab dip was delicious and hot. The music was great and I loved the overall vibe. My partner ordered the steak with baked potato.
Been here a couple of times. My first time sitting inside. Might never do that again only cause the air conditioner vents dripped in our drinks maybe even the food. Food was great as usual. Only complaint is I ordered a prime rib medium well and I think they gave me a new York Strip well done.(look at pictures) I don't send food back so I dealt with it but it was sooo tough. Other than that had a great galentines dinner with the girls.
Very nice casual yet nice restaurant on the intercoastal. It was windy out so we ate inside but the outside seating looks great. Service was outstanding! Food was very good - not outstanding however. Stone crabs were fine and the ribs were moist but not amazing. Kabobs were very good. Key lime pie was delicious. Drinks are very pricey. Parking is only valet ($5) with no free parking available near by. Would recommend for a nice dining experience on the water.

We visited Kaluz in Coral Ridge for a dual celebration—Valentine’s Day and my daughter’s birthday. While the restaurant has a fascinating pedigree (originating from the "Kansas" and "Luz" brands in Argentina), the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The Food: Solid, but "Safe" The kitchen clearly knows how to handle high volume. The presentation across the board was impressive, and the flavors were generally good: • The Kaluz Chilean Seabass: a bit fishy and its texture lacked flavor. • Cedar Plank Salmon & Duck Confit: Both were well-executed with nice aromatic finishes. • Hatfield Farm Pork Chops: Hearty and reliable. While the meal was enjoyable, it felt more like a polished "corporate" dining experience rather than something truly unique or artisanal. The Atmosphere: A Logistics Challenge This is where the experience faltered. With a seating capacity of 295, the interior feels more like a crowded hall than an upscale eatery. • Noise Level: It was incredibly loud inside, making conversation difficult—not exactly the ideal "celebration" vibe for a birthday or a romantic holiday. • Lighting: The interior is remarkably dark. While they’re going for "moody," it bordered on impractical. The Saving Grace: The Waterfront The only reason to choose Kaluz over other high-end steakhouses in Fort Lauderdale is the location. The outdoor setting is magnificent. Watching boaters anchor and step right off the Intracoastal for dinner provides a level of charm the interior lacks entirely. Final Verdict If you can snag a table outside to watch the boats, Kaluz is worth it. However, if you are seated inside, be prepared for a noisy, dark, and somewhat chaotic environment. For the price point, I expected a bit more intimacy for a special occasion.
We had an amazing experience with the food which was delicious, and our server derek was attentive and friendly. However, the front of house staff was rude and standoffish. They made us feel unwelcomed upon arrival and did not accommodate our party when we showed up a bit early (made us wait from 4:50 to strictly 5:25 for a 5:30 reservation) & we considered leaving based on how we were treated at first but stayed and gave the food a chance, and was completely redeemed by Derek's amazing service and the amazing food quality. Other than the front of house staff not making patrons feel welcomed, I would recommend this for the food and ambiance. Manager did not table touch. But Derek ensured we were taken care of all night. Restaurant does offer complimentary valet service.
First off the atmosphere was great we were seated right outside by the water watching the boats float by. Fantastic outdoor area with two bars and a lounge. The interior of restaurant was a beautiful modern design. However despite the atmosphere being great the food itself was somewhat lacking. I ordered the 12oz slow roasted brisket and my partner ordered the shrimp flatbread. The brisket was barely warm when it reached my table and was surprisingly really chewy for a slow roast the flavor wasn't there and overall really disappointed when i got it especially for the $42 price tag. The mashed potatoes were really good despite it also being somewhat cold. My partner wasn't a fan of the flat bread due to the flavor combination being overly sweet. Our service was great and the servers were very attentive. Dessert and drinks were amazing.
I brought my daughter to the Kaluz Fort Lauderdale location to celebrate her 20th birthday and the experience was pretty close to being just so so. Our server, Kaylan, practically ran through the menu highlights. She spoke so fast, I didn't understand a word she said. My daughter didn't enjoy her meal (roasted chicken), she said it tasted bland. I had the Cedar Plank Salmon. I've had better. The view is lovely being located right on the water and the valet attendant was pleasant. My future visits to Kaluz will only be to the Wellington or Plantation sites. They are on point with everything.
I went to Kaluz for my birthday, and we did not have reservations. We literally waited around 10 minutes and was seated, which was awesome. We sat outside by the water, and the scenery and atmosphere were beautiful. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly and served us in a timely manner. The appetizers were delicious. We had the calamari and crab dip. However, when the entrees came out, the presentation was good, and the food was seasoned well, but the food was cold. I'm not sure why, but it set a different tone/vibe at our table, and we were disappointed. This is a highly rated restaurant. The food is a bit pricey, so the food should be on point. The waiter apologized and gave us a free desert, which made up for some of the mistakes. I would definitely recommend coming here if you love waterfront dining and not focused too much on the food.
I visited this restaurant yesterday to celebrate my birthday after discovering it online and feeling excited by the views, atmosphere, food, and overall upscale presentation. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet those expectations. After being seated, a pleasant staff member initially came by, complimented my dress, and made us feel welcomed. I assumed she would be our server however she left and our assigned server did not return to take our order for approximately 30 minutes. While he did briefly stop by to explain the specials, there was a significant delay before he came back to actually take our order. When my lemonade arrived, it was noticeably watered down and lacked flavor. Our appetizers then took an additional 30–40 minutes to arrive. At that point, I was feeling overwhelmed and disappointed especially given that this was my 32nd birthday. Because of this I decided to have our main courses packaged to go rather than continue dining in. Sadly even after eating at home, the main dish was dry while the appetizers were the only part of the meal that met expectations. Overall, the service felt inattentive and our server did not appear very engaged. I genuinely wish the staff member who initially greeted us had been our server as the experience may have been different. For a birthday celebration, this visit was ultimately disappointing and fell short of what I expected.

I visited Kaluz on 2/6/26 with my family. We had a 6:00 reservation and had to wait 20 minutes. The seats where we waited were like tree stumps. I can’t imagine elderly people sitting on them. The decor to me seemed outdated and in need of a refresh. The Caesar salad was fairly good as was my grandson’s grilled cheese and French fries. We had to wait over half an hour for the main course. My salmon must’ve been under the heat lamp too long because the sauce was completely dried out as was the salmon. The tuna was cut into large slices without any sauce besides wasabi. I’ve never had seared tuna in such big pieces before. The food to me was pretty poor. It seems like the kitchen and wait staff need better training. The view was probably the best part of the evening. When I told the waiter about my disappointment with the meals he said I’m sorry. Unfortunately I had to go home hungry. Not a pleasant experience.
It has been over a month since I visited this establishment, and every time I started my review, I got interrupted and couldn't complete it. I have dined at this restaurant more than three times on different occasions, and my experiences have always been good, except for my last visit on February 2nd, a day before my birthday, to celebrate with some friends. I must start on a positive note. Our server, Jeane, was excellent after we were finally seated with a party of six individuals. She did everything possible to make my day special and even sang "Happy Birthday" to me, which I thought was superb. She was pleasant, knowledgeable, and friendly. The drinks and the food were okay; the portions were satisfactory and not disappointing. However, it was utterly intolerable and embarrassing to arrive until we were seated properly. Since it was my birthday, my wife set up the reservation. She requested an outside table and was told it was on a “first come, first serve basis, and everyone within the party must be present to get a table.” I get that rules are rules and are not meant to be broken, and I respect that. My wife set up the reservation for lunch at 1:00 PM on a Sunday. My wife, my daughter, and I arrived about 15 minutes early and waited for three more individuals who made up our party to come, and they were all here on time; the problem started when there was no table that we wanted available, but they attempted to offer us a booth which we kept refusing as we were fixated by the table that became empty. We waited for that table so the attendant could offer it to us. However, after waiting for fifty-five minutes, we reluctantly accepted the booth that was provided to us. The booth was close to the bar and seemed not as secluded as we would have liked. The table we had been waiting for was still available, but we realized that it had been taken before we sat down. Suddenly, three individuals got off a boat that had just docked and were offered the table. We were all sitting and watching to see how quickly they could get to that table. A few minutes later, a few more people arrived and were seated at the same table. Having seen that, my wife complained to the attendant that sat us down that it was not fair to wait for fifty-five minutes and were not offered that table, whereas this group without a Complete parted got sat there. She brushed her off by saying that we were there first. My wife said that was false and asked to speak to a Manager. A few minutes later, the Manager arrived at our table, and my wife explained to him what happened. He didn't allow her to complete her sentence. He expediently stated that he had to back up her employee and believed she was telling the truth. He furthermore stated that he had already lost many employees, was short, and was not about to lose another one. He was to back up his employees. We were seated and looked at each other, dumbfounded, wondering how this man could be the Manager of this restaurant. At this point, I intervened and asked him, “How about the customers? ” We waited for fifty-five minutes for a table and were resigned to sitting at a table that we did not want. He quickly replied, hesitantly, "Good customers will stay, and the bad ones will not return.” I promptly responded and asked, “Are we the bad customers? Are you insinuating that we are bad because I complained about our treatment?” At this point, he realized that the conversation was not going well and asked for a couple of minutes to regain his thoughts. He came quickly after realizing that the wrong words were coming out of his mouth and offered us a better seating arrangement, which we gladly accepted. Although pleasant, this gesture could not erase our recent experience. His attitude showed a lack of customer service aptitude and training for a man in this position. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and we shall never return. Shortly after my visit and review this restaurant was closed by the Health and Safety inspectors.
I have been to Kaluz in Fort Lauderdale well over 50 times. I went on 1/18/2026 to the outdoor bar and there was a newish lady bartender that was extensively chatting with another patron (which is ok). We waited patiently until her conversation finished and then ordered two dry martinis, a salmon and a salad. She overpoured on the dry martinis and I asked to give me the additional martini which I was more than willing to pay, the ask was never for free. She just stored it in a glass and never gave it to me. After an hour and after ordering my tab, the unused vodka was used to serve a dirty martini to another client which was shocking! An old shaken vodka served to another client! The food took a bit longer than usual but that was okay. The food came and we were never asked if it came fine, never served water or given plates. Also, I had to ask several times to have ice served to refresh our martinis and the staff was not proactive. After lack of reasonable and adequate service, I asked for the tab and did not added a tip and provided a comment within the tab ticket regarding the terrible service. Both of the bartenders (a man and the lady that were on duty at that time) started to comment and gossip amongst themselves and even tried to bring patrons to the conversation. The male bartender even turned aggressive and threw my bar ticket to the garbage which had my comment regarding the service. Unfortunately, this is the new low for Kaluz Fort Lauderdale. Never going again and hope the new management can resolve all these significant issues for future patrons with different and trained staff.

Everything about the food was great at this restaurant. Great atmosphere, our waiter was great……. Then as I was going to the bathroom I was literally screamed at by one of the waitresses twice while walking into the women’s restroom. Btw I happen to just have short hair so when she saw me from the back she of course jumped to conclusions and created a public spectacle. Never ceases to amaze me that someone does not think that a grown adult cannot read the difference between a “W” and a “M” on the door and needs to be led to the correct bathroom by a staff member because they assume that hooked on phonics spontaneously stopped working for you! Total lack on class on the waitresses part so will not be returning to pay money to a business who would hire such an ignorant employee.
Why a 1 star? This is why- my husband I went here for our anniversary. We were there on 11/07/25. We were outside waiting for a table. I saw a table being cleared by the water and asked him to see if we can request that table. So he went to the hostess and asked if we can have that table and she said “well, are you going to take care of me?” 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳 What???!?!!!!!!???? My mind was blown. She was asking for a tip to do her job! We love Kaluz and have been going here for years. But this experience put a sour note in my mouth. I called corporate and the restaurant management to report the issue. Corporate didn’t respond at all. And the manager I spoke to said she was going to speak to that hostess but never heard back. This type of behavior is unacceptable. I know times are hard but this is a job expectation and should be done well without additional expected rewards. Unexpected rewards - GREAT!But dont demand it.
I’ve been to Kaluz Restaurant a few times, but this last visit was really disappointing. The food was good, we ordered four rounds of portions and also had drinks (which are almost $30 each). We spent a good amount of money there. After we finished eating and stayed for about an hour just drinking and talking, the staff started treating us very poorly, like we hadn’t ordered anything. The attitude completely changed and it felt very disrespectful. I left feeling extremely humiliated. Good food doesn’t make up for bad service. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be coming back.
