I've been wanting to try this place for the past several months, and I'm glad I finally did. My wife ordered the vegetarian combo and I got the enchilada dinner with an extra chicken taco on the side. We were both very pleased with our food and will definitely be back. Service was really quick, and the flavors were very nice. Just what I had a craving for.

This La Bamba on Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale is the best! The food is always fresh and delicious and servers are sweet and patient. And no loud mouth Felicia’s here, only thankful workers who appreciate your patronage. I spend about $50-$90 a week there. The food is great and fresh. I’m never afraid of getting sick. The place is clean. And the staff is excellent!

La Bamba is one of the highlighted Mexican restaurants in the area. Always busy, and they keep good quality food and service. Enjoy getting serviced by Rita tonight on (3/11/2024). She paid attention to the details of our orders.

We had a fantastic meal here for the second time, only four years later. Great Service, very nice atmosphere. Delicious enchiladas, guacamole, and their hot salsa was so good that I asked for another one. Excellent margheritas, and not just because they were half price all day on Mondays, that was a bonus!

When you’re in for Lauderdale by US one and Oakland Park your car should go automatically to La Bamba the place is very busy parking is very difficult but the food is out of this world everything is homemade fresh read from the refried beans to the chips to the guacamole Yum this place has great lunch specials most of them under $10 complete meal

I have never had a bad experience with the wait staff, bartenders, or the food. I come here often for a quick lunch or to enjoy some delicious Mexican food for dinner.

The food is excellent, the menu has choices such as Ground Beef Verde Enchiladas. I have seen few restaurants that offer so many choices. The Crab Enchiladas, were great, but a little pricey. The regular Salsa, is terrific. Prices are reasonable, staff is super! Highly recommended. Another location West Sample.

We typically do pickup orders and the food is consistently excellent, without fail, which is why we've been customers for years. The curbside pickup service makes it so quick and easy and runs very efficiently.

The chips are crispy and warm and the salsa tasty and fresh. I had the Spanish arroz con pollo (big portion of yellow rice with chicken)-Choice of dark or white meat. It comes with a fresh salad and maduros. Delicious!!

We stopped in for lunch since we were on the east side of town, and I'd been craving Mexican food for awhile. When we arrived, we were seated immediately in a booth. Our server came to the table and asked what we wanted to drink. I was eyeing the Margaritas, and I was stuck between the watermelon and the blood orange. Our server explained that they were out of the watermelon flavor, so blood orange it was! He asked if we wanted guac or cheese dip with our chips, so we opted for the cheese dip. He left to get our drinks and chips, and left us to peruse the menu. When he came back with the chips, I ordered the Verde Burro (burrito) which comes with green sauce and Monterey Jack, and hubby ordered the Burro Dinner (burrito). The food came out in a decent amount of time, and was piping hot! The burritos come with a side of yellow rice and refried beans. Everything was fantastic! This was exactly what I'd been craving. Overall, we had a great experience here. The parking lot is ample, the restaurant is clean, the food is good, and the staff are friendly. We will definitely be back!

Love this place!! I suppose that all the locations are this good, but this one is my favorite! Love work lunches here, the food is always fast, Great! And served with a smile!! Need extra chips and salsa? No problem! The staff is exceptional and cannot say enough!!

We love La Bamba’s! Online ordering is the best! The food is always hot and delicious. They always get our order right. And the pick up is super easy. You don’t even have to get out of your car.

First La Bamba since before the pandemic! 🎉🌮 Grateful to be celebrating my Grandmother's lap around the sun a bit early, and La Bamba made us feel safe, comfortable, and FULL with all the delicious Mexican eats. Tables are safely spaced, and some staff were even double-masked. I noticed proactive cleaning from all staff on the floor and behind the bar, and the food was just as wonderful as I remembered. THANK YOU, La Bamba, always happy to support and start visiting again.

I have been coming to La bamba for over 20 years and it’s been great since day one! In fact, today I only ordered two chicken noodle soups for pick up via drive thru bc I have the flu and their soup is the best. When I picked up the soups, I told the la Bamba employee I was sick and this was my favorite and he asked if he could get me anything else, even offered to get me a ginger ale. Too kind and generous. I really appreciated that. La bamba is the best Mexican/spanish/cuban cuisine I’ve ever had and the employees are GOOD people!

Atmosphere is N/A as I ordered take-out. I had the Burro De Mazatlán and my partner had 6 wings. The Burro was delicious with an ample amount of real crab meat, cheese, and sauce. I had one wing and they were also very good classic buffalo-style wings with lots of sauce and blue cheese for dipping.

A Fort Lauderdale favorite! It has been consistently good for years. And now there’s an app you can order curbside pickup and delivery (cheaper option than Uber Eats or Door Dash, etc.) and avoid the crowd. Love it!

My family and I are visiting the Lauderdale by the Sea area for a bit and decided to try La Bamba for dinner, wow great food. My partner and I both ordered the Cheese Enchilada Dinner served with rice and refried beans. Excellent flavors and we both could not finish our food. The rice is quite good. My brother ordered the Beef Enchilada Dinner and he too enjoyed the flavors. Our sister ordered the Burrito with Chicken which she totally loved. Great food and a fun spot to eat.

The BEST Steak Fajitas in Northern America! The meat is quality, and the ingredients are fresh. I have been a loyal customer for many years, consistency is the key. Recently the manager and several employees went above and beyond for me as my daughter who had down syndrome and type 1 diabetes passed away in her sleep on May 1. She was a regular customer there and obviously well loved. I appreciate the gift presented to me by them. after recent surgery and not being able to drive I decided to order a #9 lunch special from the Ft Lauderdale La Bamba (at work we go to the Delray one a lot, I never tried one in my backyard!) the Polo a la Plancha was delicious and La Bamba has the best plantains I've ever eaten. The only thing that could have made this better was a few chips and salsa like with eat in but hopefully I'll be back to eat in dining soon! Quick delivery too

I almost left a lower review on the service. After I was seated a couple of women were seated right across from me and a server went to them first who ended up being the server that ended up being mine. Another server came up to me right after that server went to the two women. I told her that these two women were seated after myself and were served before anyone came to me. I think that she said something to the other server as things changed as he came over very quickly and took my order and was very attentive to myself after that. I even got my meal before them. I don't know if he didn't know the situation but he truly made up for it after. Because of that I gave the 5 stars for the service and I tipped him good. I think that he realized what happened and went out of his way to correct it.

The pork chunks were not fatty and they were marinated and so moist and flavorful! The black bean were expertly seasoned and flavorful and the fried plantains were caramelized to perfection - perfect texture! Top it all off with raw onion and lime and I was in Havana Heaven. I ordered my food to go and the experience of the carry out process was excellent. There is a side door for curbside and carry out orders and it was staffed by extremely friendly, professional young ladies when I stopped in tonight. I wish I knew their names so I could shout them out, too, but they greeted me with a smile and were extremely courteous even though that restaurant was packed. The restaurant is bright, vibrant and super clean, too. I would have no hesitation to dine in next time. It makes me happy to know that in all the years I’ve been going to La Bamba, they haven’t dropped the ball or lowered their standards. In fact, it’s even better than I remembered. I just won’t take so long to come back!

Very popular place for staple Mexican dishes. I won't opine on the food in general, just my dish - I had the enchiladas with rice and beans, and they were bland, chicken was dry and the whole dish seemed like it was nuked before serving. May have just been my dish. Service is very friendly and accommodating, and the place was packed on a Thursday evening, great atmosphere.

I have been eating here for 7 plus years and I have always enjoyed my meals. I know I am picky but the presentation of the meal is just as important as the meal itself. It lacks a certain ambience not the place I would take a first date but friends or a group for lunch that is where it would best suffice. But all that said the food is good and quality always consistent. The staff very attentive the new renovations have added a more spacious feel to the place. I would recommend this place for anyone who craves Authentic Mexican food. So if you are ever close by stop in and treat yourself.

Plantains made perfectly and my shrimp scampi was as good as I've had in Puerto Vallarta. The Mexican Mule was a perfect cocktail compliment

Great food! Lots to pick from. Not much wait time. They have a Spanish menu and a Mexican muni. It seemed pretty clean. Big portions. I highly recommend this.

I came here for a work luncheon and had a good experience. Food was good and service was great. Did not give it a full 5 stars because the food is not really Mexican, its more like a texmex.

The staff were very nice and friendly and the service was great and fast food was good great guacamole but the margaritas are the best of all for small to bird bath size But if you're on a budget I would get the drinks a cheap appetizer. For my and it was 50 dollars the drinks are 10.50 that's for the ones in the picture the pic is extra the place has been there for a long time it's a big place with the fill of Mexico but with out getting sick after drinking the water. The place looks very clean and has a raised booths some that can hold a large number of people. You can seat in the lower level which is tables big and small the chairs are comfortable. I have to say did have a great time with everyone but may have been we were drunk I was just a little buzzed

11/24/25-again another great meal 12/21/24- We sat at the bar. Great bartender sorry I didn’t get your name. G had a Margarita, on the rocks with salt. He said it was a real good one He then order the Lechon Asado , it came w/ white rice black bean and plantains.it was shredded pork. I had the chicken fajita came with four wraps. It was loaded with peppers and onions. The flavor was very good. Chips and dip offered when we first sat. They were nice and warm. 726/22- wow sat at bar w/Roxanna. Very personable. Chips were nice and warm. G had the palomino steak came w/very good plantains, white rice and black beans . Steak was cooked perfectly. I had the steak taco , there 2 round taco shells. But soft . Also came w/ white rice and refried beans w/ melted cheese on top . So good. 5/20/2021- got parking yuppie, we were taken to a table In back. Big place. As soon as s we sat the guy came with the warm chips and 2 mild and 1 spicy sauce . Both real good. We ordered a couple of glasses of wine , took almost 10 minutes to get them. Chips real good. Then I ordered their Costilla de Puerco, fancy for the pork chops , very flavorful. Hubby had the NY Steak, which we read they cut their meats . Who knew. A bit tough, mentioned it to the server and she said well how’s the temperature and it was cooked perfectly medium but it still was tough.Hubby got the white rice and black beans , I asked for there white rice and I got retried beans with the big piece of melted cheese on it and delicious plantings cooked perfectly. All and all ,guess we just didn’t order what we usually order here 9/22/2020– As you pull in the parking lot on the north side they have orange cones along the building for your pick up. We ordered a head of time and number one and number seven for lunch the girl came out gave us a credit card thing and gave us the food and off we went food is always consistent no chips were to go but that’s OK cause it’s plenty of food Number one was the quesadilla I ordered chicken with it no problem. Number seven what is the baby Palomilla which came with of course white rice black beans and plantains a packet and start a phone not crazy about that but the food was great the service was g Oh my so full. Authentic Mexican in a great atmosphere. Lots of fresh food. I’ve had the fish tacos and they were so good. The taco salad was not great as it was almost all meat. They have great kids meals. They also have a great bar.

I came here with my brother for lunch and his friends rave about the hamburger so I tried it. It was a 1/2 lb. ground sirloin steak served with lettuce, tomato, onion and French fries. Surprisingly very good. They also serve salsa, mild & hot with chips.

If you are looking for the real deal, look no further. This isn't your "let's put a mountain of yellow cheese on everything" kind of place. The Al Pastor is perfectly charred and sliced thin, and the handmade corn tortillas are a total game-changer they actually hold up to the salsa! Must Try: The fajitas, come out sizzling hot! The food is better than your average Mexican food but be ready, it's one of those restaurants that Nickle and Dimes you to death.

Good Mexican restaurant the staff is very friendly. The food overall was pretty good. The salsa is homemade and fresh which was very good. It’s one of those 80s maybe early 90s interior that has seen better days. Their prices are very good!

The food was flavorful and the portion sizes were hefty. We had the Mexican pizza appetizer and burrito meal, they have the best mole sauce I've ever tasted. The service wasn't that great and there was a mistake with our bill so we were charged twice unfortunately.

We went for lunch because I was looking forward to their tuna melt. It was rather slow that day because we were early. First issue was they discontinued the tuna melt. The salsa was very good, but unfortunately the chips left a lot to be desired. They were not warm like they used to be and they just didn’t taste fresh. So I ordered the taco lunch. Was disappointed that only one taco came with it. Then I took a bite of it. It tasted like an entire salt shaker of salt was dumped into it. Don’t know where they are getting their fish from, but it was completely inedible. I sent it back. Lost my appetite so is shared my wife’s pork which was decent. All in all a rather disappointing visit to this place I have been going to off and on for over 30 years. I hope other locations still carry the tuna melt otherwise I have no reason to go back there. This location used to be great… not sure what happened, but there are lots of Mexican restaurants to go to to include some really decent one off places. This location definitely needs to up their game. It nothing like it used to be. Maybe it has new owners?

What it didn't have was a lot of meat (sad considering its a meat dish). I ordered french fries as a side dish and never got them. At the end of the meal I told our server to cancel the fry order and she said sorry. I don't know if that meant, sorry I never put it in or sorry I never got them. At that point I was ready to leave regardless. This restaurant was not my pick and I don't think I will be returning. 🙄

We came for an early dinner and like others that left reviews, we were shocked to see a $5 charge on a refill of chips and salsa. The server pointed to it when she brought back a menu of course with the fine print. Not once have we been in a restaurant that charges for refills on chips and salsa which costs less than a drink!! We come from Texas where chips and salsa is a staple in a Mexican restaurant and they do not charge you for refills on things that are supposed to be complementary in the first place. Keyword “supposed to be.” Name another restaurant here in Fort Lauderdale that charges for chips and salsa refills! There were 4 of us seated at a table and the chips come in a TINY basket in the first place (see picture). They aren’t even generous with the initial serving. La Bamba should offer 1 basket per person if that’s that case. Because that one basket was gone within 2 minutes of us being seated. We spent over $150 in food! In La Bamba’s response to others concerns, it’s to curb food waste, etc. You’re a restaurant. You’re GOING to have food waste. To La Bamba: Maybe you should charge for your rice and beans or make it optional since they are mediocre anyway. Unless you can come up with something different than the other responses you gave on people complaining about your $5 chip refills, just save it.

Atmosphere is great, food is okay. This $5 for an additional chips and salsa is ridiculous. They claim it’s food waste which is a pretty lame excuse. They say they’re competitive pricing for the quality of food. No they’re not. Quates Mexican restaurant on Andrews food is good, and they don’t nickel and dime you on their chips and salsa if you want a refill. This is just another greedy owner or manager. This will be our last time here after coming here for 3 years. Our waitress said she gets complaints about this too and management does nothing about it. Get it together LambambaSocial!! Especially for the prices you charge! $15.50 for 2 beef tacos.

This was a horrible experience from start to finish. Chips had no salt. Margarita skinny full of sugar. Salsa from a jar...tasteless tacos and $100. Ridiculous!!!! I am sorry sir, but this was our experience. You can't tell me thee was no sugar in that skinny margarita. It was entirely too sweet. We were there during happy hour and paid $15.00 each for the drinks and never even finished them because they were so sweet. Chips without salt ????? Why???? We truly could not and did not eat the tacos as they were simply no flavor and $90 for 5 tacos and 2 drinks is beyond the beyond! I am so sorry, but this as or experience.

After speaking to a manager earlier in the day about dietary restrictions, I ordered fajitas for myself and my husband for dinner. The seafood fajitas contained only 2 shrimp, and some very unappealing white fish. The steak fajitas arrived with salsa containing onions despite my clear request to our server and had to be replaced. Most of my entree was green peppers with only a pitiful amount of low quality meat, drowning in a pool of oil. Our server obviously needs further training — she spilled sauce on the table as she served my dinner, in addition to neglecting to notice the onions she was serving me. The salsa was so mild that it was flavorless. I will never return to this restaurant and I discourage readers from dining here.
