Awesome place! Was promptly seated around 230pm Linda very nice waitress had our drinks quickly and kept our table clear of plates (and brought piping hot miso soup, you have to ask for it but it's well worth it!). Food was phenomenal the hibachi was top tier and i would've gone back for a 2nd plate if the sushi wasn't so fantastic! Nice selection of misc buffet items (sesame balls were my favortie, crab rangoons close second!) fresh fruits and nice selection of desserts. Pleasant atmosphere bathrooms clean and well maintained parking was also a pleasure. Highly recomended i will be back thank you for the delightful meal!

Conveniently located on university drive, near Nova University and Broward college, reasonably priced lunch compared to fast food restaurants. Many food varieties, hibachi and sushi bar is exceptional with many varieties to choose from. Plenty of parking and close to I 595.

Shinju Japanese Buffet is very good - the chicken is diced up into bite-sized, manageable pieces. The hot food is varied with meats, vegetables, bread (Chinese donuts), sesame seed balls, and soups. The sushi selection is immense with quite the variety to choose from. Buffet lunch was about $19 per person. One minor con is the hibachi has less options than what I am used to, and the cook is the one who gets the food for you. Desserts and fruits were delicious.

Variety is excellent. Sushi was fresh, tons of seafood choices, along with beef, chicken, pork, & veggie options. Gloves are free and required at the buffet tables to get food.

I've been to this buffet many times. They have a very large selection of fresh sushi and rolls. They also offer several different types of stir fried vegetables and meats along with tempura and other deep fried favorites. If that's not enough you can choose your own kind of meats and vegetables and they will cook it fresh on the hibachi. While leaving we all saw our friendly neighborhood spider-man show up outside. It was unrelated to the restaurant but still made the night even more memorable.

I found a special online that told me that they have a birthday special. Must have I.D. and eat for free on your birthday! So we tried it. I loved everything, but 30-something dollars was a little expensive for me, but not for others. It was definitely worth it. And I definitely ate my share of snow crab. Definitely a must go buffet. I usually go for dinner with the family as they have a little bit of everything. I do love their crawfish so i usually grab a few sushi rolls and then fill up with crawfish. They also have steak, shrimps , things for the kids and dessert. Food always looks fresh. You also have the option to buy to go and they will charge you by pound or by pieces of you are taking sushi.

Food was good. I found it to be be pricey as it was dinner time on Saturday so my family paid 31.99 per head. Other than that, I found the food to be of good quality, but for that price they could have offered Hibachi as other places do.

I went here with my friend for a dinner date girls night to catch up she had been here a few times and raved about the place this was my first time hearing about it but I love sushi so I was up for it when we got here around 6 p.m. on a Friday night it wasn't that busy but let me tell you ahead of time it got super busy after we got there so try to arrive early Friday night they do have the crab legs on the oysters on ice as well the sushi bar is extensive.I tried several different varieties of sushi that I've always wanted to try and was a little bit afraid to but when I say it's made fresh right in front of you so you can see what actually goes into it they have a whole entire hibachi grill fresh fruit ice cream and the staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating she had me try the plum wine now I'm not a wine drinker so I really didn't care for it it was sweet but again I'm not a wine drinker and at 9:50 a glass well I could just stick with Coke for that but aside from that I definitely would bring in my mom and family back here I think they will love the fresh varieties. I loved the mussels and the spring rolls

My sister and I love this place for a quick lunch every time. The food has never made us sick, and we’ve had better sushi here than in some high end scale places.. the rest of their buffet is made of everything you’d expect to find at a Japanese place, we’ve liked most of the items we’ve tried. The best asian buffet forever

Shinju has always been a great place to eat. The food is prepared well, the service is fantastic! Wendy, Grace, Nicole and the rest of the staff work hard to insure that your experience is a good one. I often hold retirement group luncheons at ShinJu, everyone has a great time! Thank you ShinJu for being here for our community.

Our server wasn't totally accurate by saying Yes when I asked for Sweet Tea, then gave me Raspberry Tea. Also, getting drink refills when needed was difficult because the server was rarely around. Otherwise, our experience was great and these minor issues won't keep me from going back for the delicious variety of sushi, hot buffet, & made-to-order hibachi.

Overdue review, have been coming here for more than 8 years now. The restaurant offer a decent variety of sushi rolls, hot food bar , hibachi station and desserts. Foos have always been good, the hibachi is a must on my visits. Staff is nice and helpful, no complaints. Don’t miss it if driving around Davie.

I love asian places but it’s some other type of love when it comes to buffets or hibachi places. This is been the greatest asian buffet i’ve tried in a very long time. I’ll say it could even be better than my favorite asian buffet in Sarasota… which I used to go to every other day, almost. Food was too amazing to be true. Everybody knows that buffets kind of lower their quality during night time since there’s less traffic; food trays do not need to be refreshed or replaced as often as if it was day time or lunch - everything was fresh, small and medium sized to prevent food waste. Several sauces to pick up from. Soups, snacks, healthy options and dessert bar where shocking to me. Even though this trip was pretty stressful to me, this place made it all worth it. I’ll love to come back if I ever have to make another trip to the area. I’ll like to also try it during lunch time as well. Comfortable place, nice service and several food options.

All the food was really good and fresh, the sweets were amazingly good too, personally ill recommend the tiramisu that was so so good. We had a great waiter named Wendy that took really good care of us and even taught us some words in chinese. The experience was a 10/10 and ill recommend everyone to go and we will for sure be comino back

It is so good, I can literally eat there every day and never get tired of it. The sushi and the food is delicious. Even the ribeye skewer on a buffet tastes like a real ribeye. Staff are pleasant, efficient and easy to interact with.

We come here often for lunch, after my daughters soccer games and we always enjoy this place. The all you can eat sushi is always good and fresh. We ate a bunch of crawfish this time and they were delicious. My family loves the muscles here. The donuts covered in sugar are always a nice final touch. Would recomend this place for lunch.

I went to shinju with my family yesterday and our bill was $112 plus 15% gratuity. The waiter was good, the seating time was quick but for the price we paid I think that the food was not good enough it was ok. I can get better and cheaper some where else.

I would say this visit was between a 3 and a 4. Only becuase I known how negative reviews can affect the buisness and in restaurants one night can be 5 star whilr some nights can be 2.. Visited for my birthday and keep in mind we got there around 8pm, they close at 9pm. Most of the sushi was ok and somewhat fresh. There were some pieces that weren't fresh at all. The fried rice did not have much flavor. The crab legs were diminutive and bland. Luckily for them I cam muscle thru all that becuase ibwas raised for war..lol. but some might not have such a forgiving appetite. I would recomend this place but im sure the quality is better on the weekends or during their prime times.. the service was outstanding and profesional and our cups never ran dry.. 😊 Three ppl in the party for a total of around $80. Not sure if I'll come back as my fiance didn't enjoy the food at all..but you never know..

I usted to go to this restaurant when they were in the other location. Still is as good as it was but this place is smaller. We love the crab legs and here is included in the menu but here you have to wait cause they run out all the time. Roll and sashimi is really good and fresh. Bathrooms are clean and staff always taking the dirty dish.

Great buffet. A little more in cost than your average buffet but well worth it. Amazing choice of fresh sushi, crab legs, oysters, variety of shrimp and great selection of Chinese food. Only downside is that this place gets busy on weekend, especially evenings and restrooms are usually very messy. Other than that food is delicious and great service.

I have been there so many times, it’s very nice for the price and for what you get but not perfect of course that’s why 4 stars and the sushi rice is always over cooked, I wish they could cook that less to taste like a real sushi instead of mash potato texture

Warm food is good. Sushi not so much. Most of rolls have deep fried shripms or they overall fried and most of them have the same taste. Once I went there and they had on friday dinner lobsters but they served them very slow that thr tray was empty most of the time

Lunch buffet is less expensive than dinner and there is a kid's buffet price too. This is great for kids to try their first sushi for one price. Dinner buffet offers more selections of sushi. Price is a bit higher but worth it. Check their website for current prices.

Buffet sushi was nice for the amount of options, not so for the quality. There was a freshness that was sorely lacking as less popular dishes sat for longer and got soggier. Tried to get a variety of samples but in the future would stay away from the sushi and do the more general dishes.

We visited this place in 2017 for the first time and loved the Sushi 🍣. We came back today after a long gap. Sushi 🍣 choices are excellent and they are fresh & tasty. Hibachi is limited with no carbs available but still delicious. Only a few dessert options and fruits. Friendly staff and good service. It’s expensive compared to similar restaurants but can’t complain.

Not worth it, few options, too expensive (I paid $20) compared to other all you can eat places around with a lot more options and much better prices. Servers don't look happy. It's worth driving to Chow time for example.

This is your typical all you can eat Japanese buffet. The sushi was ok. Most of the rolls fell apart as you picked them up. The seaweed for the rolls was a little chewy. But there was a large selection of sushi. What did look bad(and smell) was the oysters and mussels. Would definitely not eat them. The desserts and habachi was really good. Service was not bad.

Sushi taste pretty good. I love that they have a pretty big variety of different options which is nice. The big unfortunate is the hibachi as well. I didn’t get it but my mother and sister did and they said that there is not much flavor in the food and the man on the grill doesn’t speak any English to which sucks because he basically puts whatever Sauce says he wants on your food which is a big issue. What are you supposed to do? If you are allergic to something, how can you tell him to not added to your food when he can’t speak English. Five people with tips nearly $200 later I definitely wouldn’t be back that’s for sure. I’m not gonna go back to a Buffet just for the sushi and crab that I enjoyed. I go to buffets for variety of foods, which they lacked 100%. So this is why I am rating it as such.

The restaurant was very clean. The service was ok. The food was average in general. My husband had steak made to order from the hibachi and said it was cooked well and flavorful. They had a sushi bar, hibachi grill, typical table with fried rice, green beans, veggie spring roll, shrimp, muscles and crab legs. Expensive at $24.99 unless you eat a lot of seafood.

Decent buffet but there are better options available food option wise at the same price. In general food and service was good, covid precautions were followed. The place was clean and was located at nice location. The only thing which I did not like was variety of food and deserts which is something i like in a buffet. Still not a bad place.

Few selections and the taste was just similar to any other Chinese buffet except for the sushis. Plus we were only there for less than 45 minutes and they already handed us the bill while we were still eating (no, we didn't eat that much or had leftovers). They also just take your plate without saying anything. Kinda rude. Also the sprite we ordered tasted really weird, we couldn't even drink it. Nori Tori buffet was way better.

I have been here a few times for lunch. Food is average I world say, it is not high end, though it is maybe a bit better than other places. Staff is also average I would say, they are fast to serve you and don't take long to take your plate away or serve you more soda. Plenty of room to park too, even when busy. I do suggest though to go for lunch and not for dinner, I payed $95 for 3 of us when I went for dinner. Reason why I recommend don't go for dinner, which of course I'll never do again.

A little disappointed, expected more due to the price. There was plenty of hot food and sushi, but we have seen a bigger selection elsewhere. The sushi was good, but again expected more. The desserts we thought very poor and little if it. Tried the Wonton soup and it was terrible. TBH you can go to Chow time and get similar food, more range and a lot less money. I asked my g/f, who loves sushi, would she go again? She said no. The meal for two cost us about $84 with two drinks. This was a Wednesday evening, I believe its more expensive on a weekend.

The food was good - sushi & hot food Cons: - None of the sushi is labeled with ingredients so you have no idea what’s inside. Crab? Cream cheese? Not great for people with allergies - desserts were underwhelming. Been to buffets with better desserts - didn’t see fortune cookies. I could have missed it, but that’s the best part! Also, I understand it was Valentine’s Day but at at 50 minutes with 4 people, the waitress was already putting the check on our table

Low grade sushi, all buffet items look the same and taste like nothing. Service was poor. I would never go back.

Had high hopes for the place, but the variety left me disappointed. The sushi was decent, probably the best thing they offered. However, the chicken dishes were all bland, lacking even a hint of seasoning not even salt. It was tough to enjoy them without any flavor. The hibachi chef was helpful, but it was unexpected that you couldn't choose the quantity of food; they decided for you. The same went for the sauces—I just wanted to try them, but ended up wasting the rest of the meal. The ice cream wasn't good either; it had a strange chemical taste to it.

Sushi was horrible !!! Had no taste nothing…. Eel sauce and spicy Mayo didn’t taste like the usual from any other spot … fried rice was hard and cold even though it was on the steam thing, bourbon chicken was also distasteful not a happy camper ! I would rather drive to pompano to the other sushi spot which had more options…. Clearly can’t even finish my plate ! If i could rate a -10 i would …. 5/18/22

Had high expectations from all the good reviews. However the food was extremely disappointing and bland. I usually do not leave 1 star reviews but this place really doesn’t deserve more than 1 star. The selection was quite limited. No crab or sashimi was seen. Although it’s all you can eat, I couldn’t even finish my first plate. So not worth the money in anyway.

Customer service was great some of the food was not cold and it wasn't what I expected at all but over all place was nice and exceptional customer service
