Really good lunch spot in Fort Lauderdale. Been here numerous times and very consistent. Fried bologna sandwich and chicken salad this time. Potato salad was very good as well. I will return.

Food is delicious, the atmosphere is inviting and the staff are friendly and on top of it. I ordered a latte which is offered with a choice of different flavors. The latte came out perfectly warm and I chose the salted caramel flavoring which is subtle and not too sweet. They serve breakfast all day and have a great selection to choose from for both breakfast and lunch. It was a difficult decision but ultimately went for The Classic, which is house-made pastrami, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese and mustard on rye bread. Yum!!!! With a hefty serving of warm sliced pastrami this sandwich was enough to share. This is the real deal and I was so pleased with my meal. There are a variety of sides to choose from - I chose the cucumbers which were sliced thin and lightly marinated with a hint of dressing and dill. They paired well with my sandwich and left me satisfied. I am looking forward to returning to try other dishes!

Kitchen was fast with the food, waitress was lovely and the atmosphere was perfect for conversation. Wonderful place! Will return!

I recently visited Top Hat Deli in Fort Lauderdale with my service dog, Ember, and we had a fantastic breakfast experience. Our server, Tais, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, making us feel right at home. The food was outstanding, with the biscuits and gravy being a must-try. However, the only drawback was the loud atmosphere due to poor acoustics, which made conversation challenging. Despite this, the excellent service and delicious food make it a top recommendation. Ember and I had no issues dining here, and we look forward to returning!

Delightful staff, large selection and even larger portions. Their signature avocado toast was the best I have ever had. They have a decent bar selection but the front area is VERY loud. Was recommended by a local and we had a great experience.

We were in town for a wedding and just looking for a place near the hotel to grab lunch. I had no idea how much fate had smiled upon us when we found Top Hat just down the street. It was spectacular. We ended up eating breakfast and/or lunch or getting takeout there every day until we went home. The Classic was delicious. I needed a nap after it. They make their own pastrami, corned beef, and lox! Nova lox sandwich, excellent. Avocado toast, delicious. Meat omelet, OMG I needed another nap after that. Get some cookies to go because you'll probably be too full at the end of your meal and you'll wish you had them later after they're closed. (Chunky monkey, red velvet, bookies, all great.) If I die tomorrow, my one regret in life will be not getting their amazing chocolate cake while I had the chance. It feeds 6 people btw (no, seriously). Aside from the great food, what truly made the experience(s) so outstanding was the exceptional service. The staff were all so happy and friendly and welcoming that it was a much needed escape from the outside world. Their mantra, which is conspicuously displayed throughout the restaurant, is "be nice". They certainly were. They treated us like family. On our last day there (which I think was our 6th meal there in 4 days) they all came out to sing a jubilant thank you to us. (The girls were in tears.) Thank you Julio, Tice, Daryl, and the rest of the amazing team at Top Hat. This was the highlight of our trip! (Nobody tell the bride, please.) Hopefully I find an excuse to be in Fort Lauderdale again soon.

This is our top breakfast joint in town, service is super friendly, the menu short and easy, the food delicious and very consistent. My favorites are: grand slam, breakfast sandwich, chili omelet (Sundays only), veg medley. They have a deli with NY style meats and plenty of cakes and cookies to choose from.

When the owner of our AB&B recommended this place I assumed he had a friend who worked here. When my brother in law also recommended it I figured it was with trying out. Glad we did. Fast, very friendly, and efficient service. Great food. Try the doughsants ( we split them among the 3 of us to try- delish!!). Two of our orders included a generous portion of fresh berries. My only criticism would be that the lattes have way too much milk. Overall, I highly recommend and would love to go back for lunch when we're in town again.

Corned beef, should be a standout at deli, while edible, was served dry and at room temperature. Rye bread seemed grocery store variety. My companion ordered a meat omelette that, quite frankly, looked as though it was premade and had sat a spell under a warmer perhaps. Pickles are a standout though! Fresh and delicatessen style. Maybe it was an off day or need to try another dish. But I’m not sure, based on my experience, where all the stars are coming from.

I’ve been a longtime customer and have always come here for the matzah ball soup — it’s one of my favorites. But after a recent experience, I’m deeply disappointed and won’t be returning. I stopped in for a quick lunch during a busy workday. While I was eating, I overheard two staff members betting $10 on what they thought my nationality was. It was shocking and offensive. My background isn’t something to be joked about or turned into a guessing game.( one of the guy came to me and tell me they were betting and needs answer from me) I left immediately. As someone who supported this place for years, I expected to be treated with respect — not as the subject of a game. Very unfortunate experience
