Love this place been going here since high school since 16 for years, it's a bit away towards the route I dont like to drive but if I'm in the area and craving really good sushi I'll drive by here and my boys love there sushi ! The best weve had every roll. And the price is amazing. Thank you!
There’s a reason why I’ve been visiting Sushi One since 1998…the sushi is AMAZING and the prices are incredibly reasonable!! It’s a family owned business and they are passionate about their product. My faves are: shrimp tempura roll, JB roll, new times roll, tuna roll and cucumber roll. A place to visit the next time you’re in the Ft. Lauderdale area! Since COVID there are no inside tables, only 2 tables outside. Parking can be challenging. Peak times will have a line! Best to call in your order and pick up!! Enjoy!!
Sushi One is the definition of a hidden gem. It is family-owned and operated and has been a staple for my family for over 20 years. It is absolutely delicious and the prices are insanely good for sushi this fresh and tasty. The raw fish is gorgeous and everything is prepared on the spot with care. Even the dishes that don’t involve fish like the noodles, soup, ohitashi, etc are superb. I can’t recommend Sushi One enough.
Love this place, definitely a hidden gem. Love taking my friends here and they always end up asking me to bring them with me! The price is amazing, and the service. I love how everything is clean and tidy. Love the owners too, so sweet. Love itself isn’t strong enough to describe how much I adore this place. :)))
Best sushi ever. Always fresh, its a hidden gem.
The best sushi! If you know, you know about them. They have a following... I've been coming here for about 15 years. The sushi is fresh and delish, the place is simple and clean, and the people are friendly. It is a quick takeout place with a few tables.
I’ve been a devoted, loyal customer since 1998—almost 30 years! I moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1997 and had never tried sushi before. Sushi One was where I had my very first sushi experience, and they set the bar high. Safe to say it was love at first bite. Still one of my go-to spots after all these years.
Definitely my favorite spot for take out sushi at a reasonable price! 100% recommended! Everyone is so friendly.
I’ve been coming here for over 7years and I will drive from wherever I am to get it. Always fresh and delicious! Prices are reasonable and not expensive, I love it highly recommend!
Delicious, affordable, friendly staff! Don't miss out, good sushi!!!
The most affordable and delicious hole in the wall spot for sushi in south florida. Maybe the country. Where else can you get this value?
Sushi One is hands down the best spot for fresh, high-quality sushi at unbeatable prices! The rolls are always packed with flavor, the fish is incredibly fresh, and the portions are generous. You won’t find better sushi for this price anywhere else. The service is fast and friendly, making every visit a great experience. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, Sushi One never disappoints. Highly recommend!
This sushi place was amazing! Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and really well prepared. I ordered the shumai and chicken teriyaki, and it came with a salad and soup, which made it feel like such a complete meal. The shumai were delicious and the chicken teriyaki was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. You can tell they care about the quality of their food. I’m definitely coming back and highly recommend it!
I accidentally saw Sushi One. Lots of people come here. I thought it was a good sign of a great place. The atmosphere inside is not conducive to sitting for a long time. But you will quickly get your sushi to go and enjoy it at home. Very tasty!
Great sushi with good price. I’ve been coming here for more than 3 years now
Very fresh, tasty, and cheap sushi. And also absolutely incredible salmon teriyaki - savory, soft, and packed with umami. In all their sushi, they put a very good amount of fish and the fish tasted super fresh. Our favorite roll was the dynamite roll. In total for a California roll it's only like $6, can't beat that. The people who work there are also super sweet - I highly recommend this place!
MY FAVORITE SUSHI PLACE!!! Legit the best in the game when it comes to cheap and good sushi. Plus you are supporting local! GREAT prices and BIG pieces- - you can tell by my photos I order from here often... They are big pieces and they are prob the best price you will find. They are speedy to whip up your order- great spot to swing through for lunch breaks. They also deliver... They let you do add ons and customization to any roll. Legit this is where it's at. so yummy.
Wonderful fresh sushi, great for a quick lunch.
Hidden gem. Cheap and fast. This is the way sushi should be. Maybe that’s an unpopular opinion but it’s mine. There’s obviously a time and place for fancy $200 sushi dinners but honestly I would take a place like this over that any day. Fresh ingredients with well made rolls and nigiri. We got our food and ate in my car but there were a couple tables outside so that’s an option too (keep in mind this place is take-out only). Lots of people inside so you know this place is poppin, and for good reason. Places like this remind me why I enjoy searching for good food. Absolutely recommend.
Hidden gem Tried the combination rolls which included tuna sushi roll, jb roll and California roll. My friends tried other varieties and surprisingly All of them tasted great and not to mention, ginger was amazing too. Considering the freshness of the meat, efficient service, authenticity and the price the best place to get a take out.
You were craving sushi so we got some to go. We had a pretty big order for seven people and they made it pretty fast! The sushi was great along with the chicken teriyaki the miso soup was also pretty good it was definitely more of a place to order takeout but still definitely recommend checking out sushi One
Sushi is always delicious and the prices are great. We usually go with the combinations as you can get a mix of 4 different rolls. The cucumber roll is a must try very simple but delicious. Staff is always friendly and we never have to wait long. Definitely a great find. Their actually following covid protocols still, which is always a relief.
Wow! This place is a great value. I never thought you could get such good sushi for only $8-$11. They have great specials, too. It’s busy for good reason! They got our food out super fast. Free parking in the parking lot. They have good variety and we tried several different rolls, which were all yummy.

Small, family owned Sushi spot that's been around for years. Notuch space to sit so you'll probably need to take out but the food is, time and time again, just delicious. The fish and tuna are ALWAYS so fresh. So glad I'm working on the area again, it's my new-again fo to spot for lunch!
Very best Sushi take out shop ever! From my view as a Japanese native, this Sushi is so great . I did not even imagin I could taste such a nice Sushi at Fort Lauderdare.
Having tried sushi all over, including Little Tokyo, California, I can honestly say this is the best place for sushi and green tea. Everything feels authentic and homemade, crafted by kind, passionate Japanese chefs who truly love what they do.
Authentically delicious sushi for an amazing price! Employees are also incredibly kind. I had the Mexican roll. I look forward to returning. I highly recommend this spot!
I have tried sushi in many places including places like Little Tokyo, CA, and in my opinion, this is the best spot for sushi and green tea. 100% authentic and homemade by passionate, kind Japanese Chefs that take pride in their dishes.
Only reason I'm giving them 3 stars on service and atmosphere is because they are mainly a take out place. Very small place. Only 2 or 3 tables. However, their rolls are exceptional for the price you pay. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to get great take out rolls for a good price.

I love this little hole-in-the-wall! Don't go in thinking that you're going to get five-star atmosphere or service. It's not that kind of place. Despite its small size and obvious signs of aging (could use a coat of paint on the walls and fix the broken tiles on the floor), the food is exceptional and fresh. The price for the sushi is much lower than you would find in any other place that's comparable. All in all this is a great place if you're into quick no fuss, inexpensive and fresh sushi that hits the spot.
I order from here frequently, you can’t beat the prices. I usually order the chicken teriyaki bento box which is a very generous size, and some rolls. Everything has been excellent. However, today I ordered the shrimp tempura roll and was extremely disappointed to discover that instead of actual tempura batter, it’s a shrimp roll with puffed rice cereal added (see attached picture.) I was so surprised! I know it’s not a Michelin-starred sushi restaurant but that seems pretty disingenuous when the menu says “shrimp tempura.” That’s the only reason this place doesn’t get a 5 star review from me.
I only come to this place when I don’t want to spend big bucks on sushi. It’s decent for the price, but nothing special. The first few times I visited, the sushi seemed a bit stale or aged. Either the rice or the nori (maybe both) seemed like it had been sitting out for a while. Hard to tell which one exactly, but it definitely affected the overall experience. Although my most recent visit was better. I actually saw them refilling the rice container, so I think I got lucky with a fresher batch. The sushi tasted noticeably better that time. Overall, they are okay. It's a step up from publix sushi. For the price, I’ll probably keep coming back when I’m craving sushi on a budget.
Sushi was fresh and delicious. Restaurant inside, is too small for the amount of business they do. Strongly recommend take out or delivery only.
Chicken teriyaki wasn’t the best but the dish was good. I got the #14

It's fast and good price. But at the expense of quality. The rice is subpar, dry and the fish is low grade and quality. Think grocery store Sushi. Recommend tune up the rice. High grade and keep it fresh and not dried out. Get a better rice cooker or put more attention to it. The fish is cheap as are the prices and that makes sense. Rice is an easy fix.
You get what you pay for. I tried the sushi, the seaweed salad, the soup, and most everything. Average quality and not as fresh as other places, but if you are ok with average tasting and like less expensive and fast, this is your place.
Terrible customer service by C! She is rude and condescending. She should never be taking orders! This isn’t even my first bad interaction with her. I had tried placing an order over the phone, and she rushed me off, was rude, and didn’t even ask for my name or tell me how long it would be. She just hung up. I even just met her in person, and that terrible service extends to in-person. Every other time I am there, and someone else is working, I have never had a problem and have had a pleasant experience. She should not be speaking to customers with her terrible attitude. It’s not a one-time thing when it’s already happened multiple times. As a response to the owner: actually, that’s not true. I had to call back and say, “Don’t you need my name for the order?” She said, “What’s ur name?” I said, “Sam,” and she hung up again immediately. Never a “thank you for your order” or “your food should be ready ____”. I then called back and cancelled my order because of her attitude. I had no idea that any food was prepared. Secondly, I acknowledged that any other time I have gone, I had a pleasant experience when she wasn’t working. Thirdly, her attitude is terrible; she should treat customers with respect and courtesy. I even told her she could charge me for the substitutions. It’s not about the money, it's about the experience. Where, frankly, you don’t seem to care how your employees treat your customers. I support small businesses and am sorry that the food was prepared without pickup. But as I said, I did cancel it. When explaining a policy, I understood and told her that I did. She talked to me like I was 4 years old. That, regardless, is terrible customer service as I stated.
I ordered three different rolls. They all tasted the same. The eel roll had a particularly fishy taste and the little krab salad I ordered was mostly mayonnaise. $60. Totally not worth it.

The staff were very rude during our visit. The building is small and unwelcoming. When we entered we didn’t have time to look over the menu because were rushed to place our order. After receiving the order we opened the plate to learn that there had been a cucumber slice with a bite taken out placed on the salad. My husband and I were polite for the entire interaction and cannot understands how this happened. I will also be reporting this business to the Health Department. I do not recommend anyone visiting for their safety.
