You need to try this place! We met some friends here and it was great. Don't let the parking lot fool you. It looked full when we pulled in, but we were seated immediately. We're able to order fairly quick and the food came out much faster than expected. The burgers were delicious, I got the one with the peach pico de gallo, my wife got the mushroom Swiss. Both tasted amazing! The fries and onion rings are both good, but the onion rings were some of the b|stnive had in a while, especially with their sister sauce. IYKYK
Best burger in all of Fort Worth!!! They have the best gluten free bun I’ve tried and their burgers are divine. So good I went for my 30th birthday. Whenever my husband and I don’t want to cook, we look at each other and say “JD’s?”
Came in on my way back from Weatherford. I love burgers and I tried the El Bombi, it was delicious! The fried Mac and cheese bites made it quite the experience. They're fries were nice and crispy fresh. Onion rings are big and delicious as well. Now, the service was simple, nothing to compliment much about considering there was no suggestions made or introduction after stating it was our first time...as well as the host was rather rude about seating. Needs to work on communication. Atmosphere is like being in a room with people. Nothing more. Not bad but it can just be awkward. Well to me it was. I didn't conversate much with my friend except that the food was good. But I guess we aren't there to talk anyway huh. Cool decorations.
I had heard about JD’s and was planning on taking my order to go. When I walked in, two young men, greeted me and directed me barside to order. It was Friday, so I ordered a mojito “not too sweet, but a little strong.” Bartender, Berkeley, prepared that drink perfectly! So much so that I decided to sip it slowly and enjoy my burger there. I was very satisfied with my burger too. It came dressed with the bun lightly toasted and with all the fixings. The meat was cooked to my preference and was seasoned perfectly! There was some kind of sauce on it that was delicious! The fries were nice and thick too. The place itself was casual, clean, and comfortable. I went at about 4:15pm and had my choice of seating and parking, but midway into that burger and the place started to fill up. By the time I was finished, the place was booming! I paid, left, and the parking lot was full! I’m a native of Fort Worth and have no idea how I haven’t been here, but I’m glad I know about it now!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ JD’s Hamburgers – Fort Worth, TX If you’re anywhere near Fort Worth and want a burger that truly stands out, JD’s Hamburgers needs to be at the top of your list. I stopped in recently and ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger, and I can honestly say it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in years. The beef patty was cooked perfectly — juicy, flavorful, and seasoned just right. You could tell it was made fresh, not frozen, and the texture had that ideal balance between a good sear on the outside and tenderness inside. The mushrooms were sautéed beautifully and full of flavor — not greasy, not soggy, just perfectly done — and the Swiss cheese was melted just right to tie it all together. Every bite had that rich, savory flavor you hope for when you order a Mushroom Swiss, but rarely get. The bun held up the whole time without getting soggy, which tells you they really care about quality ingredients and how the whole thing comes together. I also ordered the sweet potato fries, and they were awesome. Crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside, and served fresh out of the fryer. They had just the right touch of seasoning — enough to enhance the flavor but not overwhelm it. You could tell the kitchen takes pride in making even the sides memorable. The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and seemed to genuinely enjoy what they do. My order came out quickly even though the place was pretty busy, and everything was hot and fresh. I really appreciated how the servers checked in at the right times without hovering. The atmosphere at JD’s is another big plus. It’s got that perfect mix of local Texas charm and laid-back comfort. The rustic décor, open seating, and lively energy make it a great place for families, friends, or even a casual date night. They’ve also got outdoor seating, which is perfect for nice weather days — and it’s pet-friendly, which is always a win in my book. If you like to pair your meal with a drink, they’ve got a great bar selection, including local craft beers and cocktails. It adds to the whole experience and makes JD’s a great spot to hang out, not just eat and leave. Parking was easy and convenient, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained inside and out. All in all, JD’s Hamburgers isn’t just another burger joint — it’s a Fort Worth gem. Between the amazing Mushroom Swiss Burger, the awesome sweet potato fries, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere, this place hits every mark. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop in. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. Highly recommend! 🍔🍟🤠
Genuinely, the mushroom Swiss burger was the most delicious burger I have ever had. I intentionally slowed down just to let the food sit in my mouth. The meat was high quality, the bun was sooo yummy, and the onions and mushrooms were delicious. The fries were delicious as well. They had good gluten free options for my wife as well. She enjoyed her grilled chicken salad and sweet potato fries. The server was super friendly and a little quirky, which adds to his charm. This just became our new favorite restaurant! You should definitely try it out!!
Our server was Ben and he was phenomenal! My mom couldn’t decide between the hand cut fries and the oakfries and he suggested she do half and half. Oakfries were AMAZING!!! The fried green tomatoes are top notch! We got the Dot & Johnny Mack and the Cheryl & Bo. We both agreed the Cheryl & Bo was the best! Service was great! Food was great! And the drinks were also so good! Love this place!
As a Canadian visiting Texas, I can honestly say JD Burgers is the spot to experience true southern hospitality and incredible food. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome like I was family. Friendly smiles, quick service, and a genuine “we’re glad you’re here” attitude that you don’t find just anywhere. Now the food—absolutely next level. The burgers are juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection with toppings stacked just right. You can taste the freshness in every bite. The sides were just as impressive—crispy fries and portions big enough to leave you more than satisfied. If you’re traveling down to Texas and looking for a burger joint that delivers not only amazing food but also that warm southern welcome, JD Burgers is the place to go. Worth every bite, and I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in town! 🇨🇦🍔🤠
I stopped by JD Hamburgers on a whim after visiting “The Patch” across the street, and I am SO glad I did! The place had a nice Sunday afternoon crowd, which was a good sign. We were seated immediately, and both ordered burgers off the menu. They were phenomenal — fresh, perfectly cooked, and the buns were next-level good (either made in-house or from some magical local bakery!). The fries were crisp and flavorful, and the onion rings were just as great. The whole experience was exactly what you want from a burger spot — friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and food that leaves you planning your next visit. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the DFW area!
Absolutely blown away by everything I had at JD’s! I loved the devil eggs, the burger was amazing and the drinks were delicious. This has definitely made it to my favorite restaurants to eat at and I can’t wait to come back again!. Service was fantastic as well, I highly recommend this restaurant!
Great outdoor seating, cool atmosphere. Friendly, very attentive. I got the El Bombi with the fried mac&cheese bites on the side, that were great, and sweet potatoes fries cooked well not soggy. Best burger I've had in a long time! Thx to my freinds Allen & Georgia for getting g me a gift card, so glad I found this place.
When I arrived only outside seating was available. A large portion of the outside seating is covered and they even provided fly fans which seemed to work. Service was very good. This is not a fast food burger place, after ordering my meal took a reasonable amount of time to cook. So I would say the food is made to order. The burger I order was a ALLIE MAE & JD which was very good. Both inside and outside and the restroom were clean. This is not a hole in the wall burger restaurant.
Another hidden treasure of a burger shop! This has to rate in the top 10! Anna, our server was great. The atmosphere had music playing in the background with a friendly staff and very clean and orderly. Had the peach pico de gallo hamburger with bacon. Unbelievable flavor! Another one you need to try! The buns are like a sweet bread bun. Amazing
“Father’s Day at JD’s: Where the Burgers Slap, the Staff Shines, and the Bourbon Goes Down Singing ‘God Bless Texas’” Let’s get one thing straight: I didn’t come to JD’s Hamburgers to play games. I came to eat like a man honored for keeping two daughters alive into adulthood. And buddy, they delivered. It was Father’s Day. I had my wife on one side, my oldest daughter on the other, and a ravenous hunger in my soul that only a specialty burger joint could fix. We rolled in right at 11:00am—beat the crowd, beat the rain, and most importantly, beat the “sorry, there’s a wait” conversation. The Scene: The moment we walked in, it was like the hostess had been training for this moment her whole life. Friendly, quick, efficient — like a Southwest gate agent with snacks. They got us seated inside, away from the rain, and right in the heart of this cozy Fort Worth gem. The staff? Spectacular. The vibe? Homey with just enough honky tonk. The soundtrack? I don’t remember the music—because the TV at the bar was playing a Texas A&M football rerun, and honestly? That was the exact kind of background noise this dad needed. A touchdown throw, a sizzle from the kitchen, and a bourbon cocktail in hand? That’s peace. The Meal: Let’s talk meat, y’all. I came in hoping for the legendary Buford T, which made waves at Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival. Sadly, it wasn’t on the menu yet. But what I did get? An off-menu special so over-the-top it could’ve been featured on a Food Network showdown. A burger topped with: • Crispy hash browns (because fries on the side is amateur hour) • A perfectly cooked fried egg • Grilled jalapeños with just enough kick to make me question my life choices • Cheddar cheese, gooey like a Hallmark movie ending • And a creamy sriracha sauce that gave it attitude All served on a sourdough bun so good I wanted to write it a thank-you card. I added a side of onion rings that were crunchier than my knees in the morning. Golden, crispy, and seasoned just right. One bite in and I almost called my doctor. My wife ordered the Texas Toast Grilled Cheese, which was basically a love letter from dairy. Three cheeses (Monterey Jack, American, and Swiss) grilled to gooey perfection on buttered toast that tasted like it grew up in Sunday school and got a little wild in college. My daughter went classic with the Allie Mae & JD burger—lettuce, tomato, pickles, caramelized onions, and that mystery magic “Sister Sauce.” One bite and she gave me that look that said, “I’m not sharing, Dad. Don’t even ask.” The Beverage: I wasn’t about to celebrate Father’s Day without a little bourbon therapy. Enter: the Parker County Peach Smash — Makers Mark, fresh peaches, mint, lemon juice, ginger beer, and the kind of Southern charm that makes you say “Mmm” out loud without shame. It was so good, I ordered a second. Because it’s Father’s Day. And because I could. TL;DR: JD’s Hamburgers is what happens when great people serve great food with great timing. From the top-tier staff to the house-made sauce to a bourbon peach cocktail that deserves its own state fair ribbon — this place flat-out gets it right. And if you can enjoy it with a football game in the background, even when it’s not football season, that’s called ambience. Would I go back? I’d go back in a monsoon, barefoot, carrying both daughters and a lawn chair. Signed, Brisket & Banter — Still Full, Still Punny Lover of BBQ, bourbon, burgers, and the women who keep me from eating like this daily.
This was a really good place. It was nice to sit down on the patio. It is a good place for kids. I didn’t expect it to be a family type place and it was kind of nerve-racking with children running by our table since my children are grown. But it’s still a good place and definitely family friendly. The drinks were good and the food was great. I was kind of sad, They didn’t have the okra fries. I wanted to try them.
We ordered Margie’s burger and the Preston Pico both with Mixed fries ( regular and sweet potato) , and it was very good . It was very delicious and a lot of portion, and the staff was very kind and welcoming. The manager , or owner, came to talk to us , and she told us about how the hamburgers could be different portions and how we can customized our sides and or order. It was very good !! One of the best burgers we have ever had ! It is definitely a must to visit !
My husband and I went there for lunch for the first time. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was ok. It could use alittle remodeling. The service was really good and our food came out pretty quick. I ordered a hamburger which it was really good, but the only down side is that the hamburger patty was super small. There was more bun than patty. I highly recommend there onion rings now that tasted awesome. We will definitely go back and try other options on the menu
The burgers were great!!! We got the buffalo burger. But I rated 4 stars because the banana pudding was just terrible. It was like a bowl of snot with wafers thrown on top. Pardon me, but if you're going to charge $7.95 per for banana pudding. It better be banana pudding. We took two bites and gave up on it. We will be back, but we will take our sweet treat moment elsewhere.
Cool place we stumbled on while passing through Ft Worth. Service was good, foor was good. Wife got the Preston's Pico & Pig burger and said it was great. Needed lettuce, though. I ordered the breakfast burger and fried okra for my side. It was very tasty, but there were issues. When I see breakfast burger with sausage patty, I think burger with sausage and an egg. This was just a breakfast sandwich (bread, sausage, & egg). The fried okra should be listed and okra fries instead. They were cut in long strips and fried without breadding. They did replace them with regular fries, though. All in all, a good place. We would come back.
Stopped in here on a suggestion from a local since we live about an hour away. My wife and I ordered the same burger from the menu since we were both new here. Although I had onion rings and my wife tried okra fries as her side. The sourdough bun was definitely a strong point of the burger and the meat had a fresh clean taste to it. I enjoyed the onion rings and the sauce that came with my wifes okra fries was pretty good. The restroom was very clean for what was a very busy time for them. I could see that this place is definitely a local favorite. We ate indoors which seemed small, but they have a ton of seating out back. I think Id like to visit this place again and try a few of their other options next time.
Not bad. For a bite if your in the neighborhood it's better then fast food. Nice staff but not worth going out of my way for. If the burger was bigger and juicer it would be better. The onion rings were good. The canned mushrooms on the burger were plentiful but you can definitely tell. The burgers need to be bigger and thicker. There is more veggies and the bun as you can see then the star which should be the burger.
Got to say I was not impressed. First off we were a party of four and they set us at tiny tables for a party of two. All while there were booths with parties of two at them. Hostess might want to think about that before giving parties the option of where they sit. The service was good. Our server was friendly and on top of it however we watched the bartender use his bare hands to push ice down in a drink for another party. That was kinda disturbing and gross. The food was ok. We started with chili fries and fried green tomato’s. The tomatoes were great. Cooked perfect with a good sauce. The chili though tasted just like can wolf brand chili. Not sure if it’s home made or not but it tasted just like it. We split a hamburger. The bun was really good, kinda on the sweeter side but not too sweet. The actual hamburger was a little dry and over cooked in my opinion. (Was not asked how we wanted it cooked) Others at my table ordered some pineapple martinis. They were way sweet. Almost like syrup. Not our cup of tea but to each their own. I might come back and give em another try. Price was a little high we paid over $40 for chili fries, one hamburger and fries and a cocktail. I had water.
