Wow! Amazing!!!! Food was so fresh and beyond delicious. Hidden little gem for sure! Clean, cozy atmosphere, and very attentive waitress! We will be back! We ordered steak bento box, scallop bento box, and chefs choice sushi. We were blown away with the great flavors, fresh cooked food, portion sizes and how quickly our food was ready. Highly recommend.
Delicious! My favorite for sure was the Scallols. So tender and good and the flavor was terrific! The tokoyaki was crunchy outside with a good, soft interior and great flavor! The rolls are as good as to be expected. The ramen was delicious per my daughter. The teriyaki chicken tasted good but was just a little dry.
LOVED EVERYTHING! Got the Tuna Tower, Shaggy Dog Roll, Crab Rangoons, & Spring Roll - Also had a great drink from the cocktail list- great service and we will continue to make a 25 min drive to eat here! We came at 3 in the afternoon on a Sunday so it was not rush hour. Hope they continue to do well! Everything was very fresh
Awesome Awesome Awesome. We love this place. Kurogi Ramen and sushi..totally Awesome..1st time there and waiter was so knowledgeable and helped us order everything...Great experience and we will be back
We tried this place out since it’s new to the area! The decor inside is so cute and very spacious. It smelled brand new still. The staff is super friendly and we were able to place our orders with ease. They have lots of sushi and ramen dishes available. They also have teas, iced teas, boba, etc. We ordered the spicy tonkotsu and it was VERY spicy, it has a few heaps of chili oil right on top, so if you like spicy definitely order this! The meat was not super tender, but very flavorful. The toppings were good and a nice amount, but I do wish we had a full egg instead of just half. Our sushi roll was really yummy, we got a regular salmon roll. Overall, food is good and we would be back.
New joint, but it doesn’t act like one. Tucked near North Lake, slinging bold bowls and clean cuts like it’s been in the game for years. The tuna sashimi? Cold, sharp, and honest. The Spicy Tonkotsu? A rich, murky broth with just enough fire to remind you you’re alive. Service is fast, friendly, and refreshingly unfussy. No gimmicks here; just good food, done with care. It's worth your time, and maybe even your loyalty.
Some dang good ramen. Ordered the spicy tonkatsu ramen. It came packed with flavor and a good amount of spice to get your mouth warm. Note that the ramen menu isn't the most clear. A lot of the descriptions are essentially the same without highlighting the difference between bowls.
Absolutely loved this ramen spot! Cozy ambiance, friendly service, and seriously delicious tonkotsu ramen. The broth was rich and flavorful, the chashu was tender and perfectly seared, and the toppings were fresh and well-balanced. A warm, satisfying meal — I’ll definitely be back.
We enjoyed the crab stuffed jalapeño and the sushi rolls. My husband likes the ramen. Kids liked the rocky shrimp, it wasn’t spicy! The sushi chef was so kind he came and talked to us and answered our questions. I wanted my roll wrapped in cucumber instead of rice so they made it happen. They also made a cute little treat for my kids. And plugged my dad’s phone in to charge. My son loved that they had Americas funniest home videos playing on the tv! We will definitely be going back!

Buttery delicious salmon, reasonable prices and very polite staff. Please give this place a try!! Thank you Diana - my server, for making this experience so nice!
Today was one of those quiet, laid-back days, and when I’m in that kind of mood, this is the place I always find myself coming back to. From the moment you walk in, the cleanliness stands out immediately. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff consistently provide excellent service with genuine smiles. The layout is well thought out and versatile, making it a great spot whether you’re stopping in alone for a peaceful meal—as I did today—or meeting up with friends or family. Either way, it’s a place worth experiencing for yourself. The food is fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. Every bite feels thoughtfully prepared, with textures and ingredients that come together beautifully. It’s the kind of meal that makes you appreciate the care and skill behind the kitchen. The presentation is equally impressive, and you can tell the team works seamlessly together to deliver a quality experience. 10/10 — Highly recommended.
I have a great experience every time I go in for lunch. The takoyaki is crispy and flavorful, and the sushi rolls are fresh and delicious. The hibachi items are tasty but a little on the salty side. What really stands out is the exceptional service - the staff are friendly, attentive, and make the whole dining experience enjoyable!
We haven’t dined in yet, but we order pick up from here all the time. It’s always delicious and fresh! The spicy ramen is a go to for chilly evenings!
Probably the best gyoza I've ever had! Our meals were really good too. I had sushi and my daughter got udon noodles. I could see that the sushi was made fresh. We were 2 out of the 4 people there at the time. They have TVs with games on.

We’ve been to Kurogi a few times — never had anything truly bad. Sushi, sashimi, gyoza, and some of the higher-end rolls have been solid. I’d rate it at least a B+. Haven’t tried the ramen/soups yet but look forward to them. Overall good quality and worth a visit
Glad they finally opened a sushi place in this part of town. I ordered take out so I didn’t see by bowl till I got home and realized it was missing some items. Had the fresh poke bowl. Missing the seaweed salad, the wasabi, and the rainbow caviar was literally a pinch. I’ll give it a second chance but will try something else.

We ordered just about everything spicy edamame, crab rangoons, Gyoza, tuna roll, spicy tuna roll, eel rolls, argyle roll and the Katsu Paitan ramen. Honestly the only thing that was decent were the crab rangoons in my book. The tuna roll was very small, fish was somewhat warm and not fresh tasting. The other sushi was OK but they definitely had a texture issue and flavor for us with the spicy tuna roll and the eel roll being very mushy. The Ramen was lacking luster, little flavor, it had chicken Katsu in it and it is extremely thin, not even crispy but not tender also fishy( no fish in it). Everything else was just very mid and easily forgettable. The service was OK, but number one rule of service check on the people and make sure they like it. Didn’t even say thank you for coming in. We won’t be back. They have the perfect aesthetic and location but if they don’t try to fix these issues they won’t succeed.

I was really excited to try this place, I ordered noodles to go, the price was high for the portion of food I got, supposedly it had chicken, beef, shrimp, cabbage, carrot, I found 2 pieces of beef, a few pieces of chicken and 2 mini shrimp, the noodles were very salty, I'm going to try something else to give them another chance, it's a new place and maybe today wasn't a great day.
My friend and I ordered to-go dinner tonight. We had two different sushi rolls, a chicken hibachi, and spicy edamame. We both currently have food poisoning which happened almost immediately after eating here. We each ate different rolls, but almost immediately after eating we got sick. Be careful with the sushi. Not sure if it was old or what the issue was.
Ordered a kids chicken katsu, two chicken teriyaki bento boxes, and a roll of sushi all for $80. The six tiny pieces of chicken were dry, there was zero teriyaki sauce, and the sushi was mediocre at best. Will be driving up to Justin for much better sushi in the future.

Fancy decor with spacious bathroom yet inadequate bathroom. Stalls could have been Easily used instead of open concept where Urinal in front if toilet so if someone going #2 then entire Bathroom is locked down to where no one can go wash hands or even do #1. Food was bland at best. I stated I'm allergic to Parsley so they removed Scallions from my Beef Fried Rice. Fried Rice was simply white rice covered in sauce with barely any egg in sight. No flavor. No lunch specials. All 5 of us ordered different dishes yet all 5 had same result of no flavor, over priced for the portion size and quality of food not fancy for the atmosphere the place trying to portray. We work within 2-mile radius and won't be back even if it was free. Spring rolls were pre made as I requested to have no Parsley in the roll. No substitution of Bento Box. Bento Box was inconsistent on who got wasabi versus not.
This is so overpriced. Not good! They must be paying ppl for their reviews. Ramen: not enough broth to cover noodles and toppings, chicken was grey Vegetable fried rice: fried rice with slivers of egg, less than 1 baby carrot; paid $1.50 extra for 3 slivers of chives. Overall paid $47 for this order!
The restaurant is pretty but they served my husband a spring roll with a piece of metal from a wire brush in it, thankfully he noticed it and didn’t eat it. Sushi was bleh, small portions for a lunch bento and over priced, we would never come back.

I love Japanese noodles, and I ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The broth had very little seasoning — not just lacking salt, but lacking flavor overall. The pork belly had a noticeable smell and did not taste fresh. It was labeled as “spicy,” but there was no spice at all. For the price, it wasn’t worth it. I won’t be coming back.
