I was craving a crunchy taco for lunch, and the spot we used to go to closed, so I turned to Yelp tlfoe suggestions. I came across Carlitos - I checked with my coworkers and they weren't familiar with it, so we figured it was probably new. (*Turns out they had been there 3 years) I was surprised I couldn't find a photo of their crunchy taco, but I saw they had it on their menu. So we figured we'd give it a try. I ordered a shredded beef crunch taco, with rice and beans, a side of chips and salsa, and a small guac. The small guac was tiny, but we figured it would give us a taste, and it was real tasty. Their chips were really good - light and crispy! The salsa was ok - not too spicy, and real tomato-y. We really enjoyed the crunchy taco. The shredded beef had a really good flavor. And the rice and beans were good too - definitely enough to share. Overall, our lunch was tasty - we took it 'to go'. But I do have to admit that I was surprised that nobody was in the restaurant and it was lunchtime - maybe most people take their food to-go - ?? Glad we finally discovered Carlitos - we'll definitely go back sometime to try other menu items.

We went because they had a BOGO offer, and were very pleasantly surprised! Service was quick, pleasant, and attentive. The chips were light and crispy (not heavy and greasy), and the salsa was good and spicy. My husband's carnitas arrived on a huge plate. He loved the very finely chopped cilantro that accompanied the rice. The rice was fluffy with a few veggies mixed in. And he ate all the beans [normally doesnt eat any]! The carnitas were absolutely fantastic! So very good for his meal. I had chicken breast fajitas that arrived steaming with a tantalizing sizzle. They were delicious also. So very good for me. We will be returning!

Salsa Verde is awesome, really made the burrito. The staff was really friendly.

A overlooked item on their menu is the steak sandwich. Made from boneless ribeye that is so tender along with pillow soft bread. We have had it four times and each time it was delicious. NOT tough!

Mexican American/ lt speaks for itself! This place is awesome food good good service overall satisfied with authentic Mexican food and American as well. Couldn’t pick a better place to go to Service very generous. I felt at home eating here the green sauce very good. Awesome establishment recommended

Food is amazing, service is awesome, I highly recommend this place. Also after such great lunch , my car battery died and it wouldn’t start. They personally made it their duty to come out and help me get my car jumped. I will forever be back. Thank you guys so much! 🙏♥️

Food was soo good. My daughter and I have been wanting to try this place and we were not disappointed. They have a huge menu from American food to Mexican food. I got the beef fajitas and my daughter got a taco and we were very pleased with our food. Everything was homemade and made with love. The staff was super friendly and we will definitely be going back.

Has a late breakfast with my parents yesterday. Plenty of parking and we were seated quickly so it was off to a great start. Service was great, very friendly and attentive to our table. I ordered chilaquiles with beans only. The chips themselves were good, nice flavor and crispiness. The beans needed a little salt and I would have preferred cotija cheese on them instead of shredded cheese. Parents were both happy with their meals as well (photos). Just an FYI on the chicken, it was purposely ordered that way due to dietary restrictions. We had cheesecake and flan for dessert, which was good as expected (no photos). I'd recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to have a good breakfast or lunch that isn't too loud with TV's.

The chicken taco was tasty, stuffed with tender shredded chicken. The cheese enchiladas were the bomb! I can't wait to try the American fare.

My husband liked the menudo, but prices were very high. Coffee cost $4.50, and this was just coffee..... Other places with affordable options that we will visit instead.

Went because we read the reviews and thought why not. Ordered chili verde. Very greasy and if I had 7 pieces of meat that was a lot . Very light on beans snd rice and beans too salty. Plenty of chips and salsa. We also ordered chile relleno and it was not made traditionally . It just has a scrambled egg wrapped around it. We try to find new spots in Fountain Valley. Sorry say this one didn’t make the list.

I won’t come back here the food was awful they need to cook right! I went to eat somewhere after won’t be coming back the waitress likes to stair at you the whole time very annoying you can’t eat good cuz she have this stupid face watching you like scare

Every item was over cooked. Over easy eggs were more like over hard, bacon burnt, sausage dried out from over cooking. How do you mess up breakfast it's the easiest meal to cook, or OVER cook in their case.
