This was really good & fresh all you can eat Hotspot at a reasonable price with so much to choose from. I would come back! So good! Also the music in this place is on point!
Well we're back again. As usual food variety is very good, atmosphere is excelent for families. My only complain is the music, not my taste and sometimes to loud.
I love coming here healthy ayce. Plenty of meat choices and lots of veggies and seafood. Very clean and neatly organized. I will come often and recommend the lunch menu till 3pm for 20.99. Enjoy yall
This place is all you can eat cook your own food. Basically a soup buffet. Perfect for the price. Great self serve environment and very tentative servers. If it's first time there they will tell you how it all works. Help with ordering and putting together a very delicious meal. We also have been to the one on oahu.
Great place and spent $30 for acye. Service is good, food is great. Lots of seafood choices and meat quality is high. Highly recommend to come try it out.
First time at this place, the price for me is reasonable. They don't have ice cream or sesame balls like the other places me and family goes to but their customers service makes up for it. Will definitely go back here again.
This place is the best! Great selection of fresh vegetables and seafood, sauces, etc and the meat is fresh and delicious. They offer 5 different booths, all are good. The service is perfect. The servers are friendly and attentive. Well worth $29.99!
Lots of meat selections to choose from. The AYCE luncheon special at $20 made this a great deal for our large group. This was lunch on a weekday and staff were fast in refilling the requested meat
Visitors, a must stop for bang for your buck place to eat. I wasted alot of money eating at other dine in $$ resturants but this one hit the spot when looking to forfill a big appetite. Be careful not to over order you can reorder is items are getting low. Time starts when you sit so make sure you get the attention of a staff if waiting more than 5 mins. All the low reviews either had a bad experience, busy times, locals residents or too boujie for this place. If you are decent at cooking you can make good of what they have to offer and make the best of it. Nothing plain if you know how to chef it up.
Shabuya is an all-you-can-eat shabu shabu franchise. What's shabu shabu? It's a Japanese hotpot dish in which you cook thinly sliced raw meat in a pot of boiling, flavorful broth. The Broth: First, you select one of 5 broths. I chose the original house broth, which was a brown broth made from dashi, veggies, and various seasonings. It had a laidback flavor, which I preferred so it wouldn't overpower the meat The Meats: Speaking of which, there are 8 cuts of thinly cut meat (5 beef, 2 pork, and 1 chicken). That's not a huge selection, but all cuts were yummy. My favorite hands down was the beef toro (belly) -- amazing marbling and delicious taste! The Appetizers: If your goal is to get your money's worth, you'll probably want to skip these. But since it was my first time I wanted to try a little bit of everything, and was pleasantly surprised to find that all 3 types of karaage (fried chicken) was quite good. I didn't have the fourth and final appetizer, goyza, so can't comment on that. The Salad Bar: As far as AYCE goes, this salad bar was relatively small. But what they did have was good, ranging from squid and octopus to mushrooms and bok choy. The only thing I genuinely didn't like was the crab; it was probably frozen for awhile and lost its tenderness and juiciness. The Cooking: Unlike old-school setups, at Shabuya, everyone gets their own hot pot and burner, with adjustable temperature. I had fun cooking my own food, with each piece reaching its "doneness" just the way I like it instead of having to compromise or share the pot with others. The Service: Our server, Jenny, was outstanding! She was quick, friendly, and knowledgeable. Plus, she seemed to always anticipate our needs before we needed to ask and made excellent recommendations for my first time. Can't say enough good things about her. The Setting: It has a modern aesthetic, with plenty of space between tables. Plus, everything was pretty clean for a buffet. Overall: While I didn't care for the crab and the overall selection of meats and appetizers was smaller than anticipated, I truly enjoyed Shabuya. The quality of food is top notch, the customer service was excellent, and the price is actually pretty good ($29.99 per adult) when you consider today's inflation and steep cost of living. While my true rating is a 4.5 out of 5, since I can't give half stars, I'll round out to 5 out of 5. We'll be back!
One of my favorite hotpots restaurant as the food is good and price is affordable. I recommend order the spicy miso for the base. Also recommend you try volcano chicken if you can tolerate spicy foods! For meat, I think I usually order number 1,2, and 5 but I think it doesn't really matter since the meats are usually very thin. Recommend you put Jalapeno on your dipping sauce as the spiciness can really bring up the flavor. Also highly recommend putting all types of mushrooms if you love crunchy foods like me. And add some onions and a few scoops of your dipping sauce into the soup to make it more flavorful. Also don't forget to add the seafood in early to get the flavor as well. Strongly recommend it if you are looking for shabu shabu/hotpot restaurants! And remember to reserve or jump on Yelp's waitlist before you come as the wait can be very long.
Arrived at the restaurant on a Friday night around 7sh… before the crowd arrived. For an AYCE, the food selections were great. Their seafood options were fresh and the beef options also did not disappoint. They had numerous broth options. My wife and i had the tonkotsu and spicy type broth. Both were great. Definitely worth the price IMO. Service was quite good as they made sure we had everything that we needed
Our favorite hot pot hands down . All you can eat with great selections of meat and seafood, all included. You get 1.5 hours, which seems like an incredibly long time for most people. I love their spicy miso and tonkastu. It's been a no wait situation everytime I go, using the app to check in. I think larger parties may have a longer wait though, I'm not sure. They won't sit you (and start the 1.5 hour timer therefore) until your entire party arrives. The best thing is the price. Under $30 for unlimited food of any kind is a steal.
We came here on a Friday at 1pm and the wait was about 10 minutes for a party of 3. The service was great and employees were all friendly and helpful. We got the Original House and Miso broth, both were really good. But the best was the quality of meats and all the seafood and veggies at the bar. The restaurant was very clean and servers were attentive and were constantly stopping by asking if we needed anymore meat.

Shabuya in Fountain Valley Promenade offers decent shabu-shabu with plenty of vegetables and all-you-can-eat meat, which is a nice option. However, the service wasn’t great, including the receptionist, who didn’t seem very welcoming. The food was good, but the experience could’ve been better with more attentive service.
Shabuya - We passed by it multiple times but never have a chance to stop by and finally here we were. The food + prices = so-so, but I can say that it is good experience to try out. We ordered the number 1-5 double double since we only did the beef. The Vietnamese guy waiter was really nice and funny brought up the whole fun and delicious asmostphere to us. The food is good, and we love the broth that he recommended. There was no wait on the Tuesday night which was great since we were starving. The food stations come with all different type of seafood, noodles, fish balls,… Different choices to choose. Good food and serving clean. If it not about front desk lady JESSICA who was assigning us to sit at the table rudely, and throwing the plates, chopsticks in front of our face after we sat in 1 second, I would give this place a 5 stars for sure. This lady Jessica was so rude and seems like she thought the we were teenagers that she can treated us like that. The attitude was surprising rude since this is our first time. Overally thank to to Vietnamese waiter did a wonderful job and the kitchen gave us a good impression and experience, if not we would choose to leave in the beginning without trying. It seems like some of the bad reviews are definitely true about their customer service
I wish I could give this place 1 star tonight, but I can’t because the food is actually very good. I love the food here, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Tonight, Friday Jan 30, my experience was ruined by the hostess at the front desk. She is a skinny girl with red hair wearing a white shirt. Her attitude was extremely rude and unwelcoming. The way she spoke to customers was mean and dismissive, as if we owed her something just for being there. I’m writing this review while still dining here because that’s how bad the experience was. She completely ruined my Friday night and killed my appetite, despite how much I usually enjoy the food. Management really needs to rethink who is placed in a customer-facing role. If someone has this kind of attitude, they should be reassigned to work in the back of the house doing kitchen or cleaning duties rather than being the first person customers see.
This was one of the worst service experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. There were way too many employees on the floor, yet absolutely no sense of management or organization. It looked like no one was in charge, and the staff clearly did not know their responsibilities. Some employees were eating during their shift, and the only way to get service was to stare at them until you made eye contact, which happened maybe once every five minutes. Ordering anything felt like a struggle. For the entire time we were there, the service was uncomfortable, inefficient, and extremely frustrating, especially considering how many staff members were present. The restaurant was borderline chaotic, unprofessional, and completely mismanaged. Unless serious changes are made in management and staff training, I would not recommend this place to anyone.
