Popped in for a quick meal. The people here are very helpful and kind. For new places I usually ask for recommendations or best sellers and the said the "S&T sushi burrito" is a must try. They made it within a few mins and to be completely honest I loved it. It has a touch of sweet and tangy sauce which adds to the various flavors that make a bomb tasting meal! Give them a try you won't regret it.

The food is so Fresh!! DELICIOUS!! Ask for a recommendation and they will give you an idea that can’t go wrong Try the Tuna with sweet onion and spicy mayo sauces. TO DIE FOR!!

I tried their poke bowl and their Pure Salmon Burrito. Man I have never been so happy to eat something this good in my life. There are a lot of Sushi Burrito places around and I've tried a few that were just awful, and this place has definitely done it right. The flavor is just right, nothing overwhelming and you can customize them however you like. Highly suggest you give this place a try!

I love Poke. Came by because I was craving it and the staff was so extremely friendly when I told them it was my first time there (though, should have clarified that because they thought it was my first time having Poke). Though what surprised me most is that their spicy tuna is mashed while other places I have been to had sliced spicy tuna cubes. Either way, the food and the service is absolutely great. Actually, I don't think I have ever had a bad experience at a Poke place ever. Definitely stop by if you want Poke and are in this area.

Solidly built, very customizable poke bowl, fewer fish options than average but still quite fresh. People show up for the sushi donut, which is about cake donut sized, very nicely assembled. Ample parking but be ready to line up at lunchtime peak.

Tried two sushi doughnuts and spam fries. The sushi doughnuts were premade, but still fresh. I enjoyed the options of sauces. My new fave sauce has to be the black sesame. What looks the best is the poke bowls and sushi burritos made right on spot. I'll definetly be back to try more of the menu!

Gets packed fast I came twice this week and had to leave or I would be late for work come early they open at 11am though, huge lunch crowd... I call in my order while I'm heading to project poke. Yummy 😋 I can eat the Salmon Belly Bowl every day. ❤

Great food. I don't eat fish at all and my wife loves fish. She always wants poki and all poki places do not offer a non-fish option, here they have Chicken Katsu. So finally a place my wife and I can enjoy. Food is amazingly good and service is even better. Parking is good, just come prepared to wait, due to the popularity of the sushi donut.

a
alvin parent

I haven't had any sushi or poke in awhile but damn there chicken katsu burrito was the BOMB! Also not that heavy compare to others since its even out rice & toppings. We also ordered salmon belly & fried spam musubi. Salmon musubi was good but probably didnt have enough sauce on it so give that 4 out of 5. Spam musubi was good also. I would totally get another 1 for lunch.

E
Emily Wang

I lovee this poke place. It's right across from mile Square and they always serve fresh fish. Rice wise, I'm usually super picky bc some places have super mushy rice and some even undercook their rice. But this place generally gets it right every time you go. I love spicy so I usually get it tossed with spicy mayo and spicy original 🤙🤙

B

I would totally choose this place for a great lunch. I go here once in a while when I'm just craving some good and affordable food. I haven't tried everything on the menu YET, but everything seems amazing. Recommend it.

G

The poke is fresh and delicious. I haven't worked my way through all of the bowls, burritos and musubi varieties but I'm trying. Their newest dishes are the salmon belly bowl and musubi. My favorite is the salmon and tuna poke bowl with spicy mayo. I still haven't tried the sushi donut but I'm positive I will not be disappointed. Their pictures are mouthwatering. Follow their IG account: @projectpoke.

K
Kameron Ramos

The sushi donuts seemed a bit small. So I went with a large bowl instead which was very filling. Next I'm going to try their burritos. And their jasmine milk tea was a refreshing change

M
Marvin C

I come here all the time, super good. I always get their fried musubi and a salmon bowl. At first I thought the serving size was a bit small but it's always enough to fill me up. Its best to eat your poke bowl as soon as possible so the hot rice doesn't start cooking the fish. If its your first time, I'd fix my fish with their spicy miso and their original sauce...really good.

A
Amanda Palmer

Poke bowl was huge! Even the regular size is piled high with all the toppings. They're not stingy here. Staff is so kind and courteous. Come try this place!

K

I come here all the time because the food is good, service is good. Not the best esthetics, plastic shield is poorly installed and looks ghetto, inside feels like you’re in Inglewood. Small rectangular room with parallel walls, concrete floor, sounds like an echo chamber. Generally uncomfortable to be inside this place, but I still come here often.

J
Joshua Monsanto

Great burrito and sushi donuts. Well made, fresh ingredients. If you hate fish but wanna try something fishy, the smell here is non existent and actually tastes really good.

M
Michael Martin

Great food, with a good portion size. Sad the sushi donut is now pre-order only but will definitely get the tray next time.

I was brought to Project Pole by a friend, and I was concerned since I don’t like a lot of poke places. I tried the Premium Burrito, and it was a lot of amazing food for the price. I have been back to Project Poke numerous times since and their food is always fresh, made to order, and the staff is always patient with newcomers to poke food.

I really like the spin on fusion and Poke at this restaurant. The fish is really fresh and tasty. Serving are generous. Poke burritos are easy to gift and people love then. For sure try it again. Can easily see ut from Brookhurst street on the north west side.

M

Its a bit cramped if they've got any sort of a crowd, but the food is fantastic enough that we didn't mind at all. The sushi donuts are overhyped, but still good. The bowls are AMAZING though. They load you up with toppings, and are happy to make you whatever combination you want. Will DEFINITELY be going back!

Delicious poke bowls! My son loves their "sushi burritos". They're giant sushi rolls you eat like a burrito (obviously!) They're friendly, fast, and have great choices for toppings. Plus they aren't overpriced! Win!

Tried this new poke place since it's closer to our home thought it was pretty good. We tried the bowl and it was awesome we also tried a poke burrito and thought it was pretty good. The best thing here was the spam fries. My kids ate all of the spam fries and left me with like two. It is a little on the pricey side so I won't be coming here often but if I'm craving good poke bowl I will come here. However, I may stop by for the spam fries again soon 😋

It's good, not the best poke place in our area. They have a few unique options like their poke donut and spam fries which are both good...but not my first choice.

If you're going for a sushi donut, don't waste your time. They no longer have it but still list it on their website! Got Spam fries and a burrito. They were both good, but nothing extremely memorable.

S

$5.25 was a more than fair price for the sushi donuts. They had plenty of fish and additions, along with the sauce and wasabi to top it off. Well worth the visit.

D
Dave Stroud

always better than the rest, but now they skimped 9n the orange fish eggs even tho i asked for extra and even tho they charged 1 buck extra...i think the person just forgot and i failed to notice ..also they skimped on the krab salad scoop...fish scoops seemed to be slighly less generous...quality always good there

R

It was good, but not great. There were communication issues and the fish was a little dried. The portions were nice and the other ingredients were fresh. B rating.

M

They have a nice variety of fish- toppings & sauces... plus friendly and helpful customer service.. looking forward to a return visit for another poke bowl...

D

I went there to try their sushi donut and pork belly corndog. But they don't make them anymore. They have some really delicious spam fries though

A
Angelina Calcaterra

Excellent poke bowls but the seating area is small and they keep the temperature way too cold. I are my food quickly because it was so uncomfortable.

M
Michael Nguyen

Good selection of toppings, however the fried onions were stale, probably because they are cut too big. Price is fair. With there was bigger interior space but plenty of seating outside. Fish quality on par with other poke places in its price range. They stare as you input tip amount which is annoying.

J
Jennie Dinh

Awesome packed sushi burritos! The crispy shallots are a great addition and my Pure Salmon was fresh and plump. The Crunchy Spam was also a hit, for $6.50.

D
David Taitingfong

My wife and I prefer Hawaiian-style poke but I gotta say...this place was probably the closest I've had to that flavor. It's definitely Japanese-style (they got the Japanese flavors and add-ons), but I think the way it's all mixed together is reminiscent of the Hawaiian-style I'm used to. Note: they sell bowls and poke burritos. I have yet to try a burrito - you decide what goes into your bowl, but the burritos are predefined. I ordered a small bowl (3 scoops) with mixed greens as my base. Your main protein choices are tuna, salmon, yellow tail, shrimp, and spicy tuna (which looks pre-mixed/mashed). Your base could be sushi rice, brown rice, mixed greens, or half of any 2 (Maybe 1/3rds? You should ask). At your typical Japanese poke place their sauces tend to run the same gamut: ponzu, spicy mayo, and then some house-flavor with different heat levels. What caught my eye here was that they offered the standard 3 (minus the heat) and these other 3: sweet onion, black sesame, and wasabi ginger. I opted for the wasabi ginger because I love the flavor of wasabi. I don't really dig the flavor of ginger, but beggars can't be choosers. The small bowl runs a minimum of $9.50; large is $11.50. Now...I don't know how many poke places you've been to, but to me that's a good deal. I was skeptical at first but it turned out good! The portion size was good and the flavor was good! The workers seemed nice - not much conversation to have here. Also, the place is tiny yo. Inside is about...4-5 window bar seats. I think I saw 2 or 3 tables outside, but I get the feeling this is more of a to-go type of place. MY RECOMMENDATION: Get whatever you want, but try the wasabi ginger sauce! It wasn't as spicy as I thought, so if you're worried about that then you can probably relax. OR GET A POKE BURRITO. My wife got one and it was big! tl;dr = make your own bowl or order a predefined poke burrito. Get wasabi ginger. The place is tiny. The service is good, the food is good.

B
Brandon Nhem

Tried out the Sushi Burrito, Poke bowl, their Combo Sushi Donut. I definitley recommend their Premium Burrito, packs a lot inside however it will get messy eating as the ends of the burrito aren't closed off. Their bowl is a great size with lots of flavors to choose from. The donut however is the weakest link here. Aesthetically pleasing and great for showing off to your friends but it's not enough to fill you up. You're a lot better off if you get a regular sushi roll. Overall, a good experience with friendly workers.

D
Douglas Negrete

Really great food, their more interesting items are the sushi donuts and poke burritos. I would definitely come back for the burritos, especially when you can order one and eat it on the beach 10 minutes later. The seating arrangements were sparce but a sign on the door promises to fix it asap.

C
Chris Ibarra

Got the S&T this past Tuesday an hour before closing. The roll was great! Tasted fresh. Grill closed an hour hence the lower ranking and not many options for kids.

Some Fish was chewy. Even though I asked for a lot of sauces, the bowl still seemed flavorless. It was ok.

G

My wife likes this place, I had a poke burrito. Novel idea, rice, crunch, lettuce wrapped in seaweed, but poke were few and far between

C
Charlie Zhong

Stopped by to try the sushi donut, it was premade, so the rice was hard which pretty much ruins any sushi. Otherwise it's your pretty standard poke place, I like that they have these random creations, but it's mostly just hype.

E
Emily Vu

I came here on May 18th to order a poke burrito. And to be honest, I was dissapointed. The burrito has shrunk significally (maybe to save money) and the original taste has gone. It is not good anymore. Just another poke place. Nothing special. It makes me kinda sad because I used to love this place.

B
Benjamin On

Pretty pricy and not all that special from other poke joints. They offer some unique items but if you come too late (we came for dinner at six) they run out. Like the spam fries look sooo good but it's not worth the money in my opinion.

G
Gerald Yuen

Food was average and price is overpriced. I got a 3 scoop for roughly $18 and they charge for masago. I was hoping for them to have yellowtail but sadly they don't

J
Joe

DeGhost town. Expensive. 17-20 dollars for a poke bowl or burrito. Wow. I will just go to.all you can eat sushi for 29.99. I would not go back.

B

This place is a lot of fun. The donuts might get all the social media love, but as far as what to eat...the real star here as are the Sushi Burritos. Good size + flavors. Not a whole lot of rice on the outside or over abundance of veggies on the inside ... this is a solid amount of actual fish. Also go for the crispy spam burrito... I know spam... but just do it anyway. The sushi donuts... Taste good and look even better. So yeah, maybe a bit more of a novelty, but you've seen the photos and now you have to get one. They're fun to eat too. You're likely to see people crowding around their purposely simple tray with sushi donut, carefully composing their Instagram shot. Have a good laugh as you discretely do the same. The sushi donuts are made in house... but they're pre-made. I get they take a while to make, but I couldn't help but look at the options they had, and wish I could combine elements of two of them into the perfect sushi donut. Maybe if it was situated as a table service venue instead of counter service they'd have the time to make them to order, but the storefront isn't big enough for that. Poke bowls are on par with the general area. (Japanese style).

R
Ron H

Ate here twice and both times the fish was not fresh. Even the other sides and toppings were stale. Very disappointed and left my stomach feeling weird. And it's weird that they weigh your proteins. Which tells me that they prioritize their bottom line over quality. All in all, I want this place to be good as the options are unique but they need to focus on providing good, fresh poke and worry less about making a profit.

C
Chelsea Romero

It’s okay! The shrimp taste like frozen grocery bought shrimp that has been cooked and i wish they had raw spicy salmon as well. Onions are sliced too big. Overall okay place.

I definitely should have gotten a bowl. Got a burrito and only thing in it that was good in it was the salmon. Not very fresh lettuce, some of the avo was brown while other parts were not ripe, cucumbers didn't taste fresh either..... The burrito looked beautiful though

I tried this place instead of driving all the way to irvine to Bay Poke I sadly won't be coming back the fish was warm and almost mushy some pieces were really soft and some were full of tendons that you had to tear apart overall it was a fail for me even the seaweed salad was a fail everything was too fishy and the shrimp was cocktail shrimp it tasted like flash boiled frozen in a tray cocktail shrimp

G
Gurl InLA

Barely any seating, just a few bar stools, so don't go expecting to have a nice relaxing meal. They also don't have a lot of options and the portions are not as big as other places I've been to. They're known for the sushi burritos so stick to that. The counter was messy and just did not look very clean, the containers which holds the toppings and protein looked like they've been sitting there all day and some were just empty containers sitting on the counter. Just the entire presentation was a big turn off for me.

I came in at 8pm on a Friday and ordered a large bowl. Portion sizes were much below average. They ran out of tuna, I asked for 2 scoops but only received 1. To make for the 2nd scoop I got spicy tuna, but the man only gave me half a scoop. He gave me 5 pieces of white onion and a sprinkle of green onion, barely anything. Also I got salad as my base and you’d think it’d fluff up nicely with the lid on, but nope! Never coming here again

The portions were below average. They ran out of toppings. For the price, there are better places out there. Would not come back.

I was hoping to get the sushi donut because it's what lead me to go there, but alas they only sell it once a year. I got a poke bowl salmon albacore tuna and ahi tuna with the basics. The fish was not fresh and it sent me running to the bathroom.

    • Frutas y aguacate: Mango, piña, aguacate cremoso.
