Great place to be on Cinco de mayo! The food and drinks were delicious. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were delicious. They did not contain the typical lettuce or cabbage. They we're still great; it's all about the sauce! The skinny margarita was great as was their house margarita. Our waitress was so friendly! Will definitely be back!
Awesome Mexican cuisine in frederick..got enchiladas and fajita trio and combo...comes sizzling very nicee..also got a tres leches cake since it was my birthday..great service and atmosphere..plenty of free parking too..
Definitely recommend. Me and my bf went her for date night. Definitely enjoy the food and service. I got a chicken and shrimp fajitas 10/10 recommend . They also got this real spicy 🌶 hot sauce they make that will definitely spicy up the food.
Beautiful restaurant! Very authentic 🌵🪇🎺 The food was delicious and filling, our waiter kept our water glasses full and very attentive to our table. Recommend if you have a craving for Mexican food 👍👍🌵
One of the best Spanish seafood soup I ever had. Fajita I ordered steak and shrimp was juicy and well flavored. Service was ok but food was delicious
Carlos was our waiter today. He gave exceptional service! He was fast and friendly. This is the first time I had brunch at Mariachi and it was delicious. I chose the spinach omelette. They had 3 different meals to choose from for the brunch menu. The outdoor dining area was nice, lots of room, plenty of shade. Mariachi never disappoints.
Don't let the restaurant photo fool you, I was there when the doors opened on a Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. This place is usually packed when I drive by, but I arrived at 10:55 a.m. and waited for opening. Kevin was my server; he was kind, courteous, patient and helped other servers with their tables when needed, and always with a smile. I ordered the Tacos Al Carbon (steak). It comes with rice and refried beans. Chips and fresh salsa loaded with onions, exactly how I like it! Iced tea was the strongest I've had in quite some time, and my glass was never empty. Ended my meal with Tres Leches. ...superb! Best Mexican food I've had in quite awhile. Next, the family meal test!!
Tried this place for the first time today. I ordered the marisco saltado and it was delicious! My husband had the chicken fajitas and that was also tasty though the portion was a bit small. The frozen strawberry margaritas were great. I would definitely come back.
Wonderful experience here! The complimentary chips and salsa were fresh and really tasty! (. . . as was the house margarita!) I ordered the Seafood Enchilada platter (it was so wonderfully prepared and mouthwatering, I thought about it all night and the next day!) All of the staff was topnotch, friendly, and very accommodating! The restaurant was clean, well laid out, light, cozy feeling, and welcoming. There is an outdoor seating area that looks really fantastic too!
Great atmosphere, and wonderful food. We stopped by here for lunch. The service was friendly. The quality of food was good. They give you more than you might be able to eat! There is a nice outdoor seating area if you prefer that.
Very impressed. The chips and salsa were fresh and light. There was just the right amount of cilantro in it. I had the roasted duck dish, Pato Con Olivas, and definitely enjoyed every bit of it. To wrap it all up, the staff was friendly and attentive.
Have been many times, my favorite is the combo fajitas. Very well seasoned with perfect flavor! Much better than other Mexican restaurants like Mi Rancho (no flavor)… Their margaritas are also very good! They have a hibiscus margarita (see pic) it’s delicious and haven’t had a margarita like it anywhere else!
I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. The drinks are great! The food is very tasty!
will suggest not to order mole enchiladas weekly special got it replaced. jalepeno margarita drinks, chimmichangas, cream crab soup is very tasty !!!
Good service The food was tasty and fresh. The atmosphere is pleasant. I liked the Mexican music in the background.
Drink was good, service was good, food was good. The only thing was interior design, and lighting was not too good
Fine dining and excellent service! Delicious Spanish and Mexican cuisine. Everything was great. The salsa and chips when we sat were great. Very fresh tasting. We'll be back.
Everything was perfect. The food, decor, staff, presentation, and atmosphere. Our server, Vilma, was spot-on. We can't wait to return!
This is one of our go to special occasion restaurants. The service is wonderful. They have great happy hour drinks and the chips and salsa are excellent. The sopa de lima is a must try. We also love the fiesta salad and chicken chimichangas.
After long drive to reach hotel nearby I checked google map to find Mexican food nearby and this was only half a mile. Atmosphere is very class and service was good. My items ordered being vegetarian came as orders and was very satisfied with Margarita Chips and Salas and Spinach burritos with side of rice beans sour cream etc.
The dishes were so delicious- authentic Mexican all the way. Family owned and operated. Excellent service and the owner was awesome and hospitable. Upscale ambiance and dining experience! Also ordered the passion fruit 🥭beverage- I would literally drive back to Frederick for another it was divine😋💯😋
Whenever I get back to the Washington DC area, I make the trip to Mariachi's - its worth it! Unlike other Mexican restaurants, you can tell they MAKE everything themselves from the fresh salsa with great tortillas to chocolate mousse. I especially love their Spanish meal selection - even the white rice tastes great. I always get the pork pieces with plantains as a favorite (pictured). My friend ordered the combo Fajitas and was thrilled with the quality over other typical Mexican restaurants. I never understood why they don't have more business all the time. But this place is a gem I always come back to.
The inside is beautiful with lots of light and ready tables for groups. Food was flavorful. Would eat again. One item forgotten but we may have over ordered anyway. Really nice outside area out back. Our waitress was very kind. Our host met us at the door.
Delicioso. The salsa and everything else tasted fresh and flavorful. The associates are very friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the atmosphere is relaxing. The mussels al gengibre was very good, and I loved the fajitas and lomo saltado. The lomo saltado sauce reminded me of braised beef stew and was excellent! They had quite an interesting selection, and I want to try more on the menu.
I can't say I love the fajitas (good, but sometimes not enough char on the veggies) but the steak or chicken chimichangas are amazing!
Had another great meal at Mariachi. We hadn't been back in a while but the food and service was just as good as we remembered. We both had variations of their shredded meat burritos--wow, a lot of food with enough for us to take some home for lunch the next day. Everything was piping hot and the server was very attentive and friendly. We'll definitely return again.
Love this place. The food quality is great and the service is always spot on and friendy. Especially love the Lomo Saltado!!
The food is very good, the service is fast and friendly. Inside is white tablecloths, the patio is comfy and cute. Have been there many times and always a great meal—the price has increased but I guess everything has!
The food was excellent. The order (take out) was ready on tme. The online order site was super easy.
A very pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, and very attentive staff. Thank you to Elizabeth for the wonderful service she provided.
Went to celebrate our son's 30th birthday. It was our first time, though the rest of our group had been there on multiple occasions. The service was first rate. The food was delivered fast and hot. For some reason, hot seems to be a challenge for many restaurants these days. Thankfully, not the case here. In fact, the waitress warned us to be careful - that the food was hot. I ordered the beef enchilada meal. My wife ordered the chicken enchilada meal. Besides being hot, the food was delicious. It comes with rice and beans. Some of our party preferred double rice, no beans. They had no problem accommodating the request. We will definitely put Mariachi in our restaurant rotation.
WOW..there is not one negative thing I have to say about this place. From the moment you walk in, you're kindly greeted by just about anyone part of the crew. The place is pretty spacious as well. I've been here at least 4x, and every time it's the same service. Let's just say if you order drinks..your food will probably come with it because that is how QUICK they are. Alc drinks are great, not watered down and food is amazing!! The owner may come by and check in to see how things are too. Bonus, they have an outdoor patio as well.
Firstly… It smells so good in the parking lot! Once you get inside, it’s huge Bright friendly everybody there was smiling. The food was amazing our server was phenomenal. Please try this salsa, it’s so good!
Food was fresh and delicious. Our waiter was very attentive. The bartender made perfect cocktails, not too sweet. Pricing was fair.
Friendly staff, delicious authentic Mexican food. Atmosphere is inviting and clean. Kept our water glasses filled. Definitely going to back next time we are in town.
The most underrated Mexican and Latin American restaurant. We have tried others, in the Frederick area, and continue to come back. A great option for those week nights when you crave a good steak burrito, but your internal battery is drained. Our favorite dishes are any with steak in them and guacamole. Normally a chicken family, but their steak is some of the best around. Between the marinade/seasoning and the method of cooking, each bite is so savory. Call in for pickup, and then pop in for an easy and convenient grab and go. Plenty of parking, and during warmer weather enjoy the outside seating.
This is by far the BEST authentic Mexican restaurant in Frederick. The food and drinks were delicious! I ordered the fried fish and it was cooked to perfection. My husband had the fajita with 3 meats and it was finger licking good. I’m going to recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. We will surely be back soon!
Good Mexican food, great environment for families. The staff are always friendly and fast. The ceviche is simple and some of the best I’ve ever had. I usually get the Pescado Alcapulco ( I think that’s how’s its spelled). It’s pan fried or roasted trout with cream sauce served with shrimp and scallops. It’s pretty good as I’m not really a taco, fajita guy. The chimichanga is bangin better than a chipotle burrito get the beef one! The carne asada is also well flavored. Enjoy and check back for pictures and tip well my friends. A few pics of the Marisco Saltado.
Although Frederick boasts a plethora of fine dining restaurants within this small city, there's really only two good Mexican establishments Mariachi and Concique! Personally the parking is easy "in and out" at Mariachi, located on rt. 355 close to the intersection with rt. 85 in Frederick, MD. As for the restaurant I give them high praise for their Mexican style comfort food. They provide all the well known dishes . . .my favorite are the Triple Fajitas with your choice of steak, chicken, and shrimp ( or any combination of three) with sliced fresh onions, red & green peppers, tomatoes, etc. served on a sizzling flat iron pan that is accompanied by an oblong plate tastefully arranged refried beans, and Spanish rice, scoop of guacamole, nestled next to freshly diced salsa. They also serve burritos, enchiladas, fish tacos, and vegetarian options, and my wife's favorite Salmon . Although I would suggest that they bring in a Spanish/Latin American fine dish selection with a chef, then prices would increase . . . but if you like Mexican comfort food, this is the place! The service is good, with wait staff refilling water glasses, and their lite tortilla chips & salsa while you wait. I enjoy their different flavor margheritas, or Mexican beers (Negra Modelo is my favorite). Interesting to note that the oval shaped dining room is a combination clear glass and double cloudy glass windows, this place used to be a strip place 25 years ago. Now they have a birthday or private room towards the rear of the dining room. ( Cute idea, no dancing poles ! )
Good margaritas and service. The burrito had lots of chicken but not much flavor.
Took a soccer team for a post game late lunch, unannounced. They rolled with the 30 plus folks dropping by unannounced, set the kids up in a private room, and had drinks out for the adults fast. Food was great. Service was excellent. Would recommend.
Ordered the elote tamales and the fajitas with beef, chicken, and shrimp and they were very good. Our server was very attentive and customer service oriented. The rice was okay but seemed like it was parboiled.
This restaurant has great and fresh food. Service is also good considering how busy they are in the weekends. Kudos to the staff! My only gripe is the smoke that tends to fill the seating area whenever servers carry food to the diners. They only have exhaust fans in the kitchen area, which works great in the kitchen. However, pretty much every diner orders fajitas and they carry it to the table while the smoke is coming out from the plate. This tends to fill the whole dining area with smoke. I am not even exaggerating when i say this that the visibility actually drops inside the restaurant when 4-5 servers constantly carry fajitas to the diners. If you have any plans to head to a fancy party after dinner here then you won't be able to as your whole body and all of your clothes will smell of fajitas. They seriously need to take care of this smoke problem. They have great food which smells great, on your plate as well as all of your body, long after you have left the restaurant.
Being from Southern California, I don't think my review is necessarily fair but the food was about what I expected for the East Coast. Decent but not the best. Literally the only people in the restaurant yet service was a little slow. Portrayed as "fancy" with white table cloths and folded napkins but it really wasn't necessary. It was ok.
Service is nice. Food was OK. The place needs a redesign, it doesn't look that good and every time you go there you end up smelling like you cooked all the food.
We been going here regularly as repeat customers but recently it seems like their prices doesn't justify the quantity they give out. It seems like beforehand they would give out more food per plate then now.. appetizer is another thing as well. $14 for a small plate of guac.
Carne assada was ok. I would go back and order something different next time. My son’s chimichangas were very good.
Sloooooooooow! We arrived at 7pm, was seated about 7:05. We received chips and salsa right away and then we waited for about 10 minutes before our waitress arrived. We placed our order and waited another 10 minutes for drinks and appetizers to arrived. The appetizers were ok. Then we waiting about an HOUR to receive our food. The food was NOT worth the wait. Service: While we waited, we ate all our chips and salsa, when the server returned with our drink we asked for more chips and salsa and waited and waited until she brought our appetizers and then we asked again for chips and salsa and got them right away. Our server and the chips and salsa person was super friendly. Food: Chips and salsa - was delicious Tamales De Pollo - was good. Queso Fundido Con Chorizo - cheese was like rubber, had to cut the cheese and eat it. Flavor was ok. Chicken Enchiladas dinner - beans and rice delicious, the chicken was dry and flavorless The triple fajitas - the chicken, steak and shrimp very flavorful! Needless to say, but I will say it anyway there are better Mexican restaurants in the area that I don’t feel the need to return to this one.
I came in with high expectations from their Rehoboth location, and was severely disappointed. Service and atmosphere were fine, but the food was borderline inedible. The meals were obviously prepackaged and kept warm or aggressively reheated. The cheese was basically plastic and the guacamole was just bad.
Food is poor quality but the staff is friendly. We were visiting from VA and thought we would try an local Mexican restaurant. We ordered queso and calamari as appetizers. The queso tasted like cheap fake Velveeta cheese with old El Paso taco seasoning stirred in. The calamari were huge thick chewy rings with a mayonnaise and taco seasoning dipping sauce. It started separating and had oil oozing out and gathering on the surface. I ordered a seafood chimichanga which arrived warm not hot inside which is scary for seafood. My wife ordered a spinach enchilada which had very little spinach and a whole lot of cheap cheese.
