Had a great brunch at Olivia 's restaurant in Old Key West Resort. Great food and service!
Very delicious and perfect service! Great fried chicken. The mashed potatoes were good but a tad on cool side. The Key Lime pie for desert was tasty.
Been here for both brunch and also dinner. Love the southernmost buttermilk fried chicken and also the banana bread French toast. Mickey waffles for a topping, of course. Usually not extremely packed nor impossible to get into and it’s a nice getaway right at the Old Key West resort. Give it a shot for brunch! :)
We had an outstanding experience here, from check-in to departure. We didn’t have a reservation, but we were able to get in immediately. All three of us had the cheeseburger, and one of us had it with a gf bun. As Disney does, they gave our gf person their own menu and sent out someone from the kitchen to consult on allergy needs. The atmosphere is relaxed with excellent light and open space. Our waiter, Antonio was exceptional. We learned later that this is a favorite of Disney-goers, so we were glad to have had the experience.
Have a wonderful experience every single year we come down from Ohio. Tyrone our normal waiter is absolutely fantastic, he truly brings the Disney magic to life for us. We have built a bond with him over the years and we always can’t wait to come back. He’s the backbone, he’s the one that truly needs to be appreciated as an employee because great employees are so hard to find lately.
Prior to heading out to the park, I stopped in to fuel up with a hearty breakfast. Tyrone was my server and he was personable with a great sense of humor. I went with the pancakes and regular coffee. There is an option for a French Press coffee, but I decided to save that for next time. When ordering the pancakes, you also have a choice of Mickey waffles that is not listed on the menu. I kept the pancakes and they were extremely good. The platter also came with 2 eggs any style and then a choice between bacon or sausage. Once again, Olivia’s for the win.
Olivia's Cafe is a cozy and casual table-service restaurant at Disney's Old Key West Resort, known for its homestyle American cuisine with a Florida/Caribbean twist. The restaurant's charming, nautical-themed atmosphere is designed to feel like a neighborhood eatery in the fictional "Conch Flats" community. The mojo pork was done excellently as was the shrimp appetizer. Will come back again especially with the coconut bread. They also have a great brunch menu!
We were lucky to stumble here in the morning; we heard it’s usually very busy and is best with reservations but we walked in and were seated immediately. We got the banana bread and the pancakes! They were surprisingly flavorful especially the pancakes; there’s a bunch of dried pancakes out there where even if you put loads of syrup, it would still not be good but this place has a nice flavor in their pancakes and texture!! Can’t wait to come back.
Olivia's remains our favorite for its reliably fantastic food and service. We were thrilled with our latest meal. The warm coconut and pineapple bread is an irresistible start. Stephanie, our wonderful server, suggested the salmon catch of the day, which was absolutely superb – the crispy skin and rich flavor were outstanding. My husband's go-to, the prime rib, was as perfect as ever. We also branched out and tried the crab cakes, which were equally delicious. Olivia's is a true gem highly recommend👍
Atmosphere- 5 stars- Olivia’s Café at Disney’s Old Key West Resort has a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere with a charming Key West-inspired vibe. This restaurant has a casual beachside feel complete with nautical decor, pastel colors, and vintage island-inspired artwork. Family photos and memorabilia from Disney Vacation Club members give it a homey, personalized touch. Service- 5 stars- our waitress was super friendly and provided very attentive service. Food- 5 stars- we were there for brunch which had a nice variety of breakfast and lunch items. I went with Olivia’s Breakfast which came with two eggs (had mine scrambled with cheese), breakfast potatoes, buttermilk biscuit and a side of bacon. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the breakfast potatoes came in a creamy cheese sauce which was very good. Not a large breakfast but just the right sized serving for me. Would love to come back and try their lunch or dinner menu. Highly recommend.
Always on the hunt for good, mid-rare prime rib and Olivia's Cafe did not disappoint. Absolutely flavorful. The coconut bread is very delicious as well! The soup du jour was beef with barley. Very hearty, bold and flavorful. Hush puppies are sweet and savory along with the Bananas Foster. Highly recommend the Bananas Foster for dessert.
Such a fun ambience to enjoy any time of the year! It has that classic Key West/Old Floridian vibe with really interesting fans that keep it nice and cool. The wait staff are delightful and the food selection is fantastic! I highly enjoyed the Crab-Cake Eggs Benedict with some zero sugar Minute Maid Lemonade, and my husband commented on the Banana Bread french toast saying the only problem was he wish he could have more. They even gave him a button for finishing all of his food! Great place for an enjoyable and yummy dining experience!
We tried Olivia’s Cafe for dinner. It seemed as though they were understaffed as there were plenty of tables but a 20 minute wait to get seated. Food took a while as well, which was odd as it seemed like there was plenty of wait-staff. Fried chicken was tender and crispy and went well with the mashed potatoes and biscuit. The coconut pineapple bread wasn’t our favorite with the butter, in my mind it should either be sweet or savory but was trying to be both. Coconut cake tasted more like cream than coconut. I’d be open to trying it again for breakfast but didn’t blow me away.
We came here for dinner and got the conch fritters for appetizers, prime rib and pork chop for entrees and then I got the mojito for my cocktail! The food was good and it was large portions the only thing was that the drinks took a long time to come up but our server Nathan was awesome and even gave me a cupcake to go that was sweet of him!
This is a smaller place at Disneys Old Key West Resort. The food is good and the service has always been really good. Nice people that always start up a good conversations. It’s not a very large place but it has a great beachy feel to the place, as all of that resort does. We thought we had reservations but a mistake only part, it didn’t go through. They still found us a table in just a few minutes time. We were very happy about that. If you happen to just want to get away from the parks and have breakfast or lunch in a quiet atmosphere, check them out.
Both the food and service were just ok. The Mahi Mahi was dry and tasteless and the shrimp and grits were over seasoned. The fried chicken was tasty, but only a small piece for the price and the sides were cold. The crab cake appetizers were delicious, but only two small cakes on the plate. Would try elsewhere or make the short drive to Disney Springs.
Nice place with some amazing food but I can't give it a high rating because the meals here are loaded with salt. It's odd that the host asked us if we had any food allergies, the menu advised us to tell them about dietary restrictions, and then the waitress asked us the same. So, I asked about different entries and which one would be best for someone needing a low sodium meal. Our waitress suggested the mahi. The mahi itself was delicious and did not taste salty, but everything else on the plate was loaded with salt. The fingerling potatoes in particular had visible salt crystals on them. If it wasn't for the overdose of sodium, this would have been a wonderful meal. It started with pineapple dinner rolls that were simply amazing. There are many nice places to dine around Disney. We picked this one because of its moderate cost and Key West theme. Next time we will pick something else that is better suited to our dietary needs
Olivia’s might be good for a basic breakfast but the crab cake Benedict is awful! Either it’s 100% canned or low grade frozen. Tasted so fishy, couldn’t eat it. The fried chicken breast was dry and over fried. There was a swipe of gravy which made the biscuit and chicken dry as well. Waiter was ok but really wasn’t attentive and felt like he just wanted us out of there. It wasn’t overly busy but there were others. Not a place we would eat at again.
The food was ok but the service was even worse. We had a party of 6 including 2 kids (5 and 11 months). Our server was clearly annnoyed from the beginning. When ordering I asked if I could order a side of mashed potatoes for our 11month old. She stated no that they don’t do special orders. I said well mashed potatoes are on the menu and served with the chicken dinner. She just blankly stared at me. So my husband ordered the chicken just so we could have masked potatoes for her. She came to check on us once and never came to refill drinks or even offer. I have never ever had bad service at a Disney restaurant, infact I usually rave about how awesome it is but this was TERRIBLE service and I won’t ever eat there again.
