Secret Thai Kitchen is a gem loved for its authentic Thai flavors, generous portions, and friendly service. Noki, the owner, is frequently praised for her friendliness. The curry puffs, spicy udon, and Pad See Eww are popular. Some found the Tom Yum soup too salty.

We went here to celebrate a birthday and everything was excellent! Great drinks and great flavors, we will definitely be returning!
New favorite Thai spot—hands down! I wasn’t expecting to find a Thai restaurant that could outshine my usual go-to, but this place did it effortlessly. I ordered the Crispy Pork Belly Fried Rice with Shrimp, and it was unreal—every bite had that perfect crunch from the pork, the shrimp were cooked just right, and the seasoning was spot-on without being too heavy. The Naree cocktail was the perfect pairing—smooth, balanced, and just the right mix of sweet and citrusy. You can tell they take their drinks as seriously as their food here. It’s rare to find a place that nails both flavor and vibe like this. I’m already looking forward to coming back and exploring more of the menu. Easily a 10/10 experience.
Secret Thai Kitchen did not disappoint! I had the spicy udon and it was perfectly seasoned with so much flavor. The noodles were so delicious that we ended up ordering an extra order to go. My husband had the pineapple fried rice with chicken and loved it as well—great balance of savory and sweet. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. We’ll definitely be back!
Hands down one of my favorite local neighborhood Thai spots. I’ve been here 5+ times and it’s always consistently great. Their fried snapper is incredible and my favorite dish— perfectly crispy, tender inside, and covered in the most flavorful sauce with fresh veggies. The food, drinks, and teas never miss. You can tell everything is made with care, and it keeps me coming back every time. A true gem in the neighborhood.
Secret Thai is the best secret on nautical mile! A cute and cozy family owned restaurant if you love Thai food or just want a delicious bite, this is the place you need to be! Like the other reviews have mentioned they do have their own parking lot, which is more of a reason why you should definitely go! They also have a very cute back patio for fun summer vibes! I had the secret Thai chicken wings, which were perfectly cooked very crispy and that secret Thai sauce is out of this world! I also ordered a side of egg fried rice again cooked to perfection. And for dessert, I had the fried ice cream which was also very tasty!
The food is absolutely incredible! Family owned and run by a mother and son duo, this spot brings all the best Thai flavors to Long Island from crispy Thai wings and flavorful peanut dumplings to the best garlic pepper calamari I’ve ever had! And don’t even get me started on the Red Curry with Half Duck, absolute must try! Whether you’re in the mood for a chill night out or a cozy date night, this spot’s got you covered with indoor + outdoor seating.
My wife ordered food from here for the first time when the roads were extremely flooded. She could not get to the restaurant due to this and a team member delivered the food to her car. Not only does this show amazing customer service, but the food was also amazing. She got the Pad Kee Mao lunch special. It was the perfect level of spice with great flavor.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely phenomenal Thai experience! I thought I had a favorite Thai spot locked in—until I came here. From the moment I walked in, everything felt elevated: the cozy ambiance, the attentive service, and most importantly, the food. I ordered the Pad See Eww, and honestly, it was next-level—perfectly balanced, with tender noodles, smoky wok flavor, and crisp, vibrant veggies that brought every bite to life. Everything was fresh! To top it off, I tried the Naree cocktail, and it was the kind of drink that makes you stop mid-conversation just to savor it. Smooth, refreshing, and dangerously easy to love. If you’re a Henny lover this would be your top choice! This place officially dethroned my usual go-to. Everything about the experience hit the mark, and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend to anyone who wants Thai food done right—and then some.
Secret Thai Kitchen is an absolute gem! The food is packed with authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced spices. Every dish tastes like it was made with care, and the portions are generous. The staff is warm, welcoming, and always happy to recommend something new to try. The atmosphere is cozy, making it feel like a true hidden treasure. If you’re looking for amazing Thai food and a great dining experience, this is the spot highly recommended
Noki, the owner is amazing. So friendly. She’s funny too. She taught me so much about Thailand while I enjoyed lunch. Everything was amazing 🥲 no complaints. The location of this restaurant is perfect. So peaceful. Beautiful view. I must come back in the summer. The beef Thai basil spicy fried rice was 100/10. The hospitality from Noki and her staff made me want to stay here for hours. This restaurant is def worth the drive from Brooklyn. I can’t wait to return.
Update: went to their new location & everything was just as delicious as I remembered. They remembered us & were so sweet! Miss them terribly, but wishing them all the success. Came here for some lunch and ended up getting the lunch special with my boyfriend. I got the Spicy basil fried rice with chicken and it’s the best I’ve ever had. My boyfriend got the red curry and it was amazing. The sauce that the fried tofu comes with is soooo good! Highly recommend this place.
I had the best experience at Secret Thai Kitchen! The curry puffs are my absolute fav! So good! I also got the Spicy Basil chicken as an entree and it was super flavorful. Let’s not forget the passion fruit margarita! Perfectly made! If you need a sweet treat definitely try the sticky rice! Don’t even hesitate! Make your way over there!
I’m so glad this place moved to the nautical mile. The food is so good and service is great. We got the curry puffs as an appetizer and they were delicious, so sad it only came with three. The spicy udon is my go to. My friend got the chicken over rice combo and the daikon soup it comes with is lovely. Great for such a cold day.
This secret spot is SO good. I ordered the son tum Thai (papaya salad), Thai chili wings, and red curry with tofu. Both were very good portions and the flavors were beautifully blended. The curry was so smooth and delicious and had a hint of spice that combined very well with the coconut milk. All of the flavors were alive!! The papaya salad was so fresh and crunchy and full of spice and flavor. It was such a good portion as well, I am so happy I found this place! The wings had delicious flavor of Thai chili. Yummy. As for the Thai iced tea, it was amazing and so cold and refreshing. Definitely try this spot you will be more than pleasantly surprised and impressed!
I was in the mood for Thai food I found this spot in Freeport. Arrived pretty late so it was 45 minutes to closing. We were received well. It was empty due to the time we arrived. The place is quaint and casual vibe. There is a bar at the restaurant. It's clean and decorated nicely. Cute outdoor area in the back of the restaurant. We ordered quickly due to timing. I ordered the secret appetizer platter with fried chicken wings, shrimp, and spring rolls. My friends ordered fried rice and shrimp pad Thai. The food was ok...tasty! Portions are plentiful. For drinks Thai iced tea and a beer. Thai iced tea was delicious. The prices are reasonable. Parking is available in the rear.
We went to have soups but it was disappointing. Tom yum soup was too salty, they are stuff came and fixed it and Tom khai soup with tofu wasn’t good. Either they overfried the tofu or it’s too old. I put 3 just of mango salad. We want to order more than we realize our next table ordered fried rice and some other stuff but they didn’t finish their food. Then we didn’t try anything else. Thai is my favorite food but disappointed this time.
This place sucks. I ordered calamari and they were not fresh. It was extremely breaded and crispy. I was able to snap the calamari into pieces. I do not recommend. I also ordered margaritas. Cheap tequila was used for $13. After complaining about the calamari it wasn’t even reduced off my bill. Not going there again.
The Secret is... It's Not Thai!!! Owner had replied to my review, and I totally disagree!! As a chef, you should give your customers what they expect, not what you think is right… with Thai food, you should at the very least ask- how spicy would you like… not assume that a customer cannot have spicy foods! It’s insulting to me.. I'm torn. Truly, utterly torn. I had such high hopes for this place, especially with all the glowing reviews. The secret is out, and it’s a big, fat letdown. Let me start with the good, because there's a lot of it. The moment you walk in, the atmosphere is charming and the staff is genuinely kind. Our server was attentive and kind. The plates that came out were nothing short of art—beautifully presented with a clear emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients. The portions are also incredibly generous; my plate felt like it could feed a small family. And let's be real, the food tastes good. The Duck was cooked perfectly, the vegetables were crisp, and the sauce was well-balanced and savory. So what's the problem? The secret is, this food isn't Thai. At all. It's like Thai food went on a vacation to the Midwest and forgot its passport. Every dish we ordered—from the curry to the pad thai—lacked the foundational pillars of Thai cuisine: the aromatic complexity of lemongrass, the sharp tang of lime, and most importantly, the fire of chili. We asked for "Thai spicy," and what we got was a dish that a one year-old could handle. It was, in a word, bland. The flavors were so muted that they were almost unrecognizable. It’s a complete and total bait-and-switch. It’s frustrating because the potential is there. The ingredients are top-notch, the service is wonderful, and the presentation is beautiful. But without the authentic flavors and, let's be honest, the spice, it's just another well-prepared but ultimately boring meal. I wish I could give it more stars, but for a restaurant that markets itself as "secret Thai," the lack of genuine Thai flavor is an unforgivable offense. It’s proof that sometimes you just can’t trust the hype.
